Nong Nooch Park in Pattaya is a mix of Thai and European styles. Nong Nooch Tropical Park in Thailand (27 photos) Nong Nooch Botanical Garden in Thailand

Hello friends! Nong Nooch Garden was our number one attraction in Pattaya. True, in absentia: we didn’t rush there immediately as soon as we moved to Thailand, but constantly put it off for dessert - the consistently positive reviews made us believe that Nong Nooch is the coolest place in the Pattaya area. But it looks like we’ve had enough of the sights...

The first review we came across about Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya

In our dearly and long-loved guide to Thailand from Dmitry Krylov, botanical Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya received the most flattering descriptions in a story about Pattaya and east coast resorts:

“If God ever decides to change his registration and move along with the inhabitants of paradise to Earth, then, of course, he will choose Nong Nooch, having first, of course, driven away the crowds of visitors from it. Only they, with their cries of admiration and camera flashes, are capable of disturbing the heavenly grace that falls on anyone who gets here along with the aromas of tropical flowers and the quiet murmur of water.”

We found her! The very point where the best photos of the Nong Nooch garden are taken!

Since Nong Nooch Garden is located in Thailand, how could it do without the obligatory attraction - taking pictures with a tiger? It’s strange that they haven’t opened a crocodile farm there yet. Apparently, everything is ahead!

Can you imagine how excited we were? For some reason, the guidebook did not contain photographs of the Nong Nooch garden in Pattaya, but nothing: after Singapore and Bali, it was not difficult to imagine heavenly landscapes.

We just had to remember that this guide was written in 2008. In six years, oh how much has changed in the Nong Nooch Garden of Eden in Pattaya!

Nong Nooch Garden and its plastic “pornography”

“How do you like the Nong Nooch garden? Did you like it? — we asked Zhenya’s former colleagues Vladimir and Karina, who came to Pattaya in the spring. “Oh-oh-oh, how cool! I really liked it!” - they should have answered, according to our idea of \u200b\u200bthe sights of Pattaya. “Not really,” Karina pursed her lips. “All this plastic “pornography” in the form of animals has no place there at all.” “He’s being picky!” I thought then.

Composition “Jerboas that survived a nuclear war.” In our opinion, stupid plastic animals only spoil the Nong Nooch tropical garden in Pattaya.

Nothing of the kind, as it turned out. “Pornography” is a harsh word, but it was precisely this that was remembered every time as soon as the gaze fell somewhere to the left or to the right. Here you are greeted by fifty ugly pink flamingos, there by one hundred and fifty penguins clutching their heads, one step later - eighty ugly pigs, and another step later - forty smiling Dalmatians. And all this is made of plastic. And all this is stuck where it is not needed. And all this - in insane quantities! A booth, a kindergarten, beauty in Thai style - you can’t think of any kind of epithets when contemplating these consumer goods figurines spoiling the landscape.

Nong Nooch Tropical Park in Pattaya. The Japanese garden occupies a couple of tens of square meters.

And this is the Japanese garden in the Moscow Botanical Garden. Size matters.

A little bit of everything - either vinaigrette or gypsy

You look at the plan map of Nong Nooch and you want to go in all directions at once. French garden, Italian garden, European garden, bonsai garden, Palms of the World garden, cactus garden, orchid greenhouse... Hurry up, hurry up!

But you quickly understand: where there is a little bit of everything, there is no overall harmony. Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya has no face. He resembles a girl who wants to look beautiful, but at the same time does not know the limits and puts on all the jewelry that is in the house. And it looks like typical gypsy stuff.

The Italian garden is perhaps one of the most beautiful places in Nong Nooch Park. It's a shame he's so small. But this applies not only to the Italian garden.

In the Nong Nooch garden in Pattaya there is a zoo, a park of retro cars, feeding fish, photography with tigers, a potting workshop, cleaning jewelry (?), elephant riding, British telephone booths, and huge plastic ants on the walls! Well, isn't it too much?

The Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Pattaya and its calling card is a mini-copy of the French Versailles.

Due to the fact that there is a little bit of everything, Nong Nooch Botanical Garden in Pattaya is far inferior to those places where one thing can be found in abundance. A mini-zoo with budgerigars compared to the open petting zoo of Khao Kaew, which is 45 km from Pattaya, is a small farmstead with animals. The cactus garden is a home greenhouse after the Majorelle Garden in Marrakech. The French garden in Nong Nooch Park is very beautiful, but too small for its declared scope! And the bonsai garden after the “Japanese Garden” in the Moscow Botanical Garden causes only surprise - “Is that all?!”

This is what cacti look like in the tropical garden of Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya...

...so - in the Moroccan Majorelle Garden...

...and like this - in Singapore's Gardens by the Bay next to the famous hotel Marina Bay Sands .

But the biggest disappointment is the orchids. Krylov wrote this: “Orchids remain the main pride of the park and its calling card.” Maybe he was writing about another park? In Nong Nooch there is a completely inconspicuous greenhouse with orchids, nothing to see, in any flower shop along Sukhumvit there are ten times more orchids.

When we arrived at Nong Nooch Botanical Garden, there were surprisingly few orchids there. Apparently, we were just unlucky: these are the beautiful flowers our reader Svetlana photographed there.

What is good about Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya:

  • If you don’t pick on the vinaigrette, then, of course, you can’t deny the beauty of the Nong Nooch garden! There are a lot of places where you can sit, take great photos and admire the view.
  • There are many gazebos and benches for relaxation.
  • Lots of restrooms and small kiosks for water and snacks.
  • In the large area of the Nong Nooch garden there is an aerial road with a roof, which is comfortable to walk on in the heat - there is shade.

– about 23 kilometers away – the gigantic picturesque Nong Nooch Tropical Garden gradually grew. Now - in the second half of 2017 - 96 Red Squares of the Russian capital will be located on its territory. Nong Nooch – the botanical garden is named after its founder – opened its doors to the public in 1980.

Visitors purchase an entrance ticket - it costs 800 baht for each guest (2017) - and find themselves in the territory of a giant garden. The question immediately arises of how to move around such a vast space. There are only four possibilities:

On foot - it will take at least six hours;
by electric car with 5-10 minute stops at those objects that will interest the guest;
together with a professional guide on a sightseeing bus;
on a bicycle rented here.

Which way to choose is decided by each visitor, taking into account their goals, financial capabilities, as well as the time allocated to get to know Nong Nooch. In addition to the walk, travelers will enjoy two performances, each of which is repeated six times a day:

30-minute program featuring talented elephant performers;
performance by Thai martial artists, musicians and dancers in national costumes.

Spectators are amazed by the talent of the elephants, skillfully riding around the spacious arena on tricycles, cheerfully playing basketball or showing unexpected virtuosity in dancing. Everyone takes pictures with good-natured animals.

Nong Nooch Gardens

It is unlikely that tourists will be able to visit all 29 gardens open to the public. Although, if you really want to, this can be easily done by spending the night in a hotel room on the territory of Nong Nooch. Tourists most often visit the five most interesting gardens:

1) "French Garden", which has little in common with the Parisian Versailles - a palace and park complex - but it is with it that this corner of well-groomed Thai nature, decorated with regular-shaped flower beds and 33 small copies of Buddha stupas, is often compared;
2) "Italian Garden" with graceful sculptures and babbling fountains;
3) "Floating Garden", consisting of platform barges with flower beds on them; the garden is interesting thanks to the arapaima - 2–4-meter freshwater fish that live in a small pond; tourists always feed them with pleasure, amazed by their large size and a little frightened by their ferocious appearance;
4) "Stonehenge", which is a copy of the British Stonehenge - an ancient monument that played the role of an observatory; and the Thai version is ordered stone blocks, more regular in shape;

5) "Exhibition of Pots"(Pottery Display) - an unusual garden where visitors stroll between arches, human heads and other figures skillfully made from clay pots.

photo: Pottery Display in a tropical garden

The park is decorated with such useful structures as the “Sky Way”. Walking along this 3-kilometer bridge, tourists view part of the gardens from the height of a two- or one-story house. The height varies depending on the specific location. Women definitely go to the orchid garden, and men go to the vintage car garage, which is unexpected for such a park. Old sports cars - there are about 40 of them here - are in good condition, as if they are ready for the next race. This is the hobby of the current owner of the Kampon Tansach garden, the son of Madame Nong Nooch.

Nong Nooch Park for children

To entertain young guests who often get tired of walking between plants, the doors of the mini-zoo are open for them. Children always watch with great interest funny piglets, timid fawns or sociable goats. Those wishing to feed the animals purchase food in advance on the zoo premises. Although it is difficult to surprise modern children with models of giant extinct dinosaurs, young tourists look into the “Valley of Dinosaurs” with curiosity.

Restaurants and hotels

Visitors pause from exciting walks through the botanical garden to quench their thirst or have a hearty lunch. The doors of a spacious food court - a courtyard for fast food - and four restaurants are open for them:

Indian cuisine;
seafood;
Cattleya, operating on a buffet system;
Plub Pleueng, where international cuisine predominates.

There is a good selection of hotels for those who decide to stay overnight. Vacationers book rooms in one of the villas with 1 or 2 cozy bedrooms, a spacious balcony or veranda. There are also several cottages located in the garden. Next to them there is a long swimming pool, which stretches for about a hundred meters. Those adventurous travelers who dream of seeing Nong Nooch in the evening, when it is cool and not crowded with hundreds of visitors, stay here overnight.

How to get to Nong Nooch from Pattaya?

Travelers have three ways to quickly get to the botanical garden. Vacationers who want to save money travel from Pattaya on their own by tuk-tuk. To do this, tourists go to Sukhumvit - the highway. Tuk-tuks pass here all the time. Moving south, passengers reach the turnoff to the picturesque garden in half an hour. The trip will cost each traveler 30 baht. After this, you have to walk the distance from the turning point to Nong Nooch. This usually takes at least 15 minutes. A taxi ride from the turn to the garden will result in additional costs - from 50 baht. Other options are much more expensive (from 250 baht): by taxi from Pattaya or by joining one of the bus excursions.

Nong Nooch Tropical Garden on the map of Pattaya

In order for a visit to the botanical garden to be successful, travelers do not ignore the recommendations of experienced tourists who were lucky enough to visit Nong Nooch:

You should definitely take a good camera or smartphone with you;
comfortable and light shoes, as well as a hat that protects from the hot Thai sun - all this will help to avoid unpleasant problems and maintain a good mood;
morning is the best time to start exploring the garden;
an independent walk will take at least 6 hours, so lunch in a restaurant on the territory of Nong Nooch is an additional expense that prudent tourists are always prepared for.

The garden rarely disappoints guests. Usually those travelers who remain dissatisfied are those who almost always look for shortcomings. Therefore, a positive attitude before a visit to Nong Nooch is the key to a good mood and vivid impressions.

Helpful information

Working hours: daily seven days a week from 8.00 to 18.00

We have long been planning to write a post about one of the most beautiful places in Pattaya - the Nong Nooch tropical garden, but the endless series of holidays and festivals that took place in the previous months literally did not leave us any free time to visit the park. January turned out to be much calmer in this regard, and we finally went on a self-guided tour of Nong Nooch Garden in Pattaya.

The Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is one of the main attractions of Thailand and Pattaya in particular. The park was opened in 1980. The idea of creating a tropical garden came to the mind of its owner, Madame Nong Nooch, during a trip to Europe. After returning from her trip, with the help of a huge number of gardeners, she converted her fruit plantations into a beautiful garden and named it after herself. Today, the park is visited by more than 2,000 people daily.

Nong Nooch on the map:

I have already been to the Nong Nooch tropical garden twice. In 2010, my friends and I visited the garden on our own when we first came to Pattaya on vacation.

The second time I was there was in 2013 as part of an organized excursion. But still, looking through photos of the park on the Internet, I found photographs of places that I had not seen during my visits to Nong Nooch Garden. Therefore, now we decided to go there in the morning and try to visit all corners of this huge garden and not miss anything.

Entrance fee to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden and opening hours:

The park is open daily from 8 am to 6 pm. A ticket for a foreign citizen costs 540 baht. For the owner of a Thai license - 250 baht.

How to get to Nong Nooch Park:

  • Order an excursion. The standard cost of an excursion to the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is 540 baht per person. Purchasing an excursion will allow you to easily get to the park and learn many interesting facts about rare plants and other useful information, but will greatly limit you in terms of choosing a route for inspection and time spent in the park.
  • Order a taxi to the park. It all depends on your bargaining ability. Recently I was told that it costs 300 baht to get to the park, and 450 baht back.
  • Drive to Nong Nooch Garden on your own possible on a bike. It took us 30 minutes to get from our condo in Jomtien.

The huge territory of Nong Nooch (about 240 hectares) is divided into many thematic gardens, almost all of them are connected by a pedestrian bridge. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy the views from above and escape the sun.

The Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is also called the orchid garden because they are grown here in huge quantities. The Orchid Garden is the first key point to explore the park. The orchids here are very beautiful and smell great; for the convenience of tourists they were hung at face level.

Just opposite the orchid garden there is an artificial fish pond where you can see and feed the giant Arapaima fish. They forgot to take a photo of the pond.

Then the path goes through very beautiful Italian and European gardens, where you can sit in small gazebos specially designed for tourists, as well as climb the observation tower and look down on all this beauty.

A little further away there is a mammoth garden and a butterfly hill with columns hung with real boiled corn (birds really love this place). Opposite the hill there are many souvenir shops and an excellent food court where you can eat well for only 50 baht.

There is an elephant enclosure right next to the food court. Here you can feed them, or saddle them and take a breeze through the park. The cost of the service is 400 baht for two.

Also on the territory of the Nong Nooch tropical garden there is a small zoo, with a not very spacious aviary for birds, as well as a small enclosure with turtles and other animals. Almost all of them can be fed and petted if you are not afraid. There is a playground for children nearby.

Passing the aloevera collection and bonsai garden, you enter the second part of the Nong Nooch garden. A wonderful exhibition opens up to your eyes, consisting of a French garden, a Stone Henge rock garden, several towers and pavilions, and all this against the backdrop of a huge number of golden Thai pagodas. The view is simply mesmerizing.

The exposition of the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden consists not only of plants, but also of original sculptures of animals, insects and birds. Here you can meet a giant ant, funny frogs, a huge flock of pink flamingos and many other diverse animals. The largest concentration of such sculptures is in the Flower Show garden.

Opposite the herd of snails there is a cactus garden - a very beautiful and interesting place. This time we got to it for the first time.

We also visited the Car Garage for the first time, where the current owner of Nong Nooch Garden, Mr. Kampon Thansacha, displays his collection of original cars. They are all running and with full tanks, and from time to time he rides them around Pattaya.

This concludes our walk through the tropical garden of Nong Nooch. By tradition, at the end of the tour, all tourists are invited to the Thai national show, which demonstrates the main cultural and historical traditions of Thailand, as well as a show of trained elephants.

Summarizing all of the above, I can say that the Nong Nooch tropical garden in Pattaya is a wonderful place for a family holiday and one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen.

Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is the largest park in Southeast Asia. It is famous not only for its size, but also for a huge number of rare plant species, unusual ceramic sculptures, colorful show programs and, of course, landscape design.

After traveling around European countries and seeing enough sights, Madame Nong Nooch decided to convert her plantations into a tropical garden.

It took 26 years to create this wonderful place, and in 1980 the park began to receive its first visitors. After the death of the owner, the park is managed by her son Kampon Tansaka.

More than 1,000,000 plants grow in Nong Nooch, which are harmoniously divided into thematic zones:

  • Orchid garden.
    Russian tourists nicknamed the park the “Orchid Garden”.
    It presents more than 500 species of these magnificent plants. The garden design is made in the style of a Buddhist pagoda. Orchids are grown in hanging baskets under strict climate control;
  • Cactus garden.
    Although the cactus zone is small in volume, it will definitely bring you a sea of positive emotions. You will be able to see a wide variety of species from the spiny family. From large to small sizes, round or, conversely, elongated shapes.
    There is even a legend about one of the cacti. The Thais call it "Mother-in-law's chair." Before the wedding, the groom sat on such a “chair” and determined by the number of needles what kind of character his mother-in-law would have;
  • French garden.
    A visit to France greatly inspired Mrs. Nong Nooch to create her Versailles Garden. The park displays replicas of Buddhist stupas collected from all over Thailand. The clarity of lines, the accuracy of geometric shapes, the symmetry of plants and the European landscape design with national Thai temples are striking.

    Exterior and landscape design of the Versailles Garden in Nong Nooch Park

    Here you can also see a mini-copy of the famous Stonehenge. The park represents the unification of cultures of different countries and peoples;

  • Butterfly garden.
    One of the truly heavenly corners of the Nong Nooch Tropical Park is the butterfly garden. Approximately 1,500 of the most diverse species of these magical creatures, from small to gigantic in size and amazing beauty, live in a house made of a special mesh. This place can melt even the coldest heart;
  • Rose Garden
    In 2019, Nong Nooch Park is planned to be expanded and a rose garden will be opened. The entire area of the site will be covered with baskets of desert roses. These strikingly beautiful and at the same time very persistent plants have a thick trunk and branching roots, dotted with white and pink flowers;
  • Italian garden.
    The garden was created in the European style. Here you will see plants in the shape of geometric shapes.

    Fountain and ponds in the Italian Garden

    Here, between the figures, there are various fountains with sculptures, which is so characteristic of the Italians;

  • Butterfly Hill.
    This park has another name - Butterfly hill. The shape of the planting and the wide variety of flowers make the park look like a butterfly. As you climb to the top of the hill, you have a wonderful view of almost the entire park. Along the edges of the garden there are giant statues of saber-toothed tigers, which look very impressive against the tropical background. About 50,000 flowers grow in this area alone;
  • Blue Garden.
    There are up to 2,800 varieties of palm trees worldwide. Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden grows some of the rarest of species. In 2008, 1,100 species of palm trees were recorded in the park. Some of them can only be seen in this place;
  • Bromeliad plants.
    More than 300 species of bromeliad plants grow in the garden.
    In it you can admire the family of echmeas, pineapples, cryptanthus, billbergias, gusmanias, tillandsias, neoregelias and many other wonderful plants, differing in the scale of their shapes and colors;
  • Aquatic plants.
    The park consists of several ponds with plants planted in them. Reservoirs are presented in the style of various geometric shapes. In the garden there is an opportunity to walk along the hanging bridge, which looks very harmonious surrounded by such romantic ponds;
  • Coastal garden.
    It is located near the aquatic plant garden, but has a completely different style, which gives it some personality. The colorful flower beds, separated by stone paths, have a wavy appearance and are decorated with small palms, ferns and ornamental trees;
  • Bonsai garden.
    This is a section of the park that embodies the ancient art of growing exact copies of trees, but in miniature sizes.

    Bonsai Garden at Nong Nooch Botanical Garden

    The Bonsai garden itself is decorated with statues of large turtles that serve as plant pots. Gardeners trim tree crowns into geometric shapes, which makes them even more attractive;

  • Garden of Hearts.
    This part of the tropical park is occupied by compositions made in the shape of hearts from flowering plants. In the center of the garden there is an openwork bench, around which there is a stone path (also made in the shape of a heart);
  • Topiary garden.
    Nong Nooch Tropical Park presents to your attention one of the garden areas located on a hill. Decorated with figures of various animals made from plants, it will perfectly lift your spirits;
  • Bird garden.
    The park has a separate place dedicated to rare tropical birds.
    They willingly make contact with tourists and take pictures on your shoulder;
  • Clay pot garden.
    In a separate area of the park, inimitable sculptures from clay pots were created. Elephants, arches of various shapes and bindings, life-size cars, clay owls and much more will delight your eye;
  • Ant Park.
    This amazing place is called the ant house. More than 5,000 sculptures in the form of ants, of different colors and sizes, harmoniously combine with each other;
  • Pond.
    A mind-boggling entertaining show is held on the pond. Visitors to the park can feed the world's largest freshwater fish, the Arapaima, on their own. You are given a fishing rod with a small fish attached to the end and you can safely get down to business. Arapaima can gain up to 200 kilograms and reach up to 4 meters in length.

    Panoramic view of the pond in the tropical garden of Nong Nooch

    This is a real dream for any fisherman, but those who are especially impressionable should go further to admire the beauty of the park and not watch this show;

  • Pottery garden.
    More than 100 thousand ceramic pots with plants are collected in this zone. They surprise with their shapes, scales and, of course, the indescribable beauty of each pot;
  • Animal sculpture garden.
    A small but at the same time breathtaking garden. Its highlight is that the animal figures are divided into their types. For example, a clan of zebras or a flock of red foxes;
  • Mammoth Garden.
    Near the main building there was a clearing with mammoths. The sculptures embody an exact copy of these powerful animals. If you put aside the plants that dilute this composition, you will get the impression that you are in Siberia;
  • Zoo.
    Although the zoo is not so large in scale, it has its significant advantages. In addition to viewing and taking photos of animals, you can pet them and even feed them. This is very uplifting, because not every day you can feed a tiger or, for example, a giant turtle breakfast;
  • Garden of umbrellas and cicadas.
    When you enter this garden, you get the impression that you are in another world. The chirping of cicadas, a riot of colors and giant sculptures of ants on the paths, all this causes a storm of emotions;
  • Topiary garden.
    Tropical Garden of Nog. Nooch invites you to see a clearing with neatly trimmed trees and bushes in a bizarre shape;
  • Heavenly walk.
    Along the perimeter of the garden, at a height of up to 5 meters, there are suspended alleys. They offer a wonderful view of almost all areas of the park. The bridges are protected from the hot sun by the roof and palm petals. Thanks to this, you can relax peacefully in the shade;
  • Rock garden.
    Multi-million dollar stones are harmoniously arranged in one composition. The guides say that there are exactly as many stones in the garden as the age of the king of Thailand;
  • Car park.
    For car lovers, the fleet will leave an imprint on the memory of a lifetime. The two-story building houses about 40 elite, mostly sports cars. The current owner is Mr. Campo. Thousand has collected his own collection of rare cars.

    Some models of rare cars in Nong Nooch Botanical Garden

    He is not going to stop there and plans to continue to replenish his garage with new exclusive cars;

  • National show.
    Nog Garden. Nooch invites you to learn about the cultural values of Thailand and provides you with national dances, dangerous stunts and the famous Thai boxing;
  • Elephant show.
    The show of gray giants will not leave anyone indifferent. Elephants skillfully kick the ball on the field, playing football, and are sincerely upset when they fail. They play Darts by throwing darts with their long trunk. They draw the trunk on T-shirts, which are sold after the performance and cost around $350. The pleasure, of course, is not cheap, but it will be something to brag about to your friends. Visitors to the show can also enjoy a massage. The man lies down on the ground and the elephant begins to gently massage his back with its feet.
    After the show, elephants love to receive their earned tips. You can give the elephant a banana or give him a dollar bill (or whatever you want).
    For a small fee, the elephant will be at your disposal for two minutes, and you will be able to take some photographs together. Elephants love to take pictures with tourists, lifting a person with their trunk.
    National elephant shows and performances take place 4 times a day, every day.
    Start of performances:
  • 09:45;
  • 10:45;
  • 15:00;
  • 16:00.

The entertainment program begins with a national show, which takes place in pavilions No. 32 and 33. At the end, you immediately go to pavilion No. 34 and enjoy the tricks of the elephants.

One of the most popular places among tourists holidaying in Pattaya is Nong Nooch Garden. It was founded in 1980 by a Thai woman, Nong Nooch, who was inspired by the beauty of the world's famous gardens while traveling abroad. Since then, the garden has delighted thousands of tourists and local residents with its beautiful landscape, variety of flowers and plants. Everyone who has visited Madame Nong Nooch’s garden is filled with delight, admiration and joy, since this is not just a garden, but a real tropical paradise.

The garden area is about 240 hectares and it is not always easy to completely explore it even in a whole day. For the convenience of visitors, the garden is divided into different zones, which are connected by well-maintained paths and bridges.

Let's take a closer look at each of its zones so that you have an understanding of what this garden is and it is easier for you to navigate it.

cactus garden

A large variety of cacti are represented here. Some of them are simply huge, others are very tiny. There are flowering cacti, round and oblong, in different colors. Such diversity is simply mind-boggling.

Orchid garden

A large collection of orchids is collected in Madame Nong Nooch's garden. Here you can see orchids of all colors and shapes. However, different types of orchids bloom at certain times, so you will not be able to see all the flowers, but only those that have bloomed.

French park

This zone was created based on the Garden of Versailles in France. She is one of the most beautiful. The French park amazes with its magnificent landscape design: bushes and trees are trimmed perfectly evenly and symmetrically, beautiful sculptures, fountains and ponds.

Also in this area of the garden there are a large number of copies of Buddhist stupas. Strict European style goes well with Thai temples.

Blue Garden

This area contains the largest collection of palm trees, among which you can find many rare species. There are currently 1,100 species of palm trees, but the garden's management plans to increase their number to 2,000.

Butterfly Garden

Part of the Nong Nooch garden is fenced with a net within which more than a thousand different species of butterflies live. They flutter so gracefully that the sight is simply mesmerizing.

Bird Garden

This area houses a large collection of exotic birds. Here you can walk among them and take photographs. You can also buy food at the entrance and feed the birds.

Pond with fish

On the territory of the Nong Nooch garden there is a pond inhabited by simply gigantic fish - arapaima. Their length can be up to 3 meters. Tourists can feed these fish themselves by purchasing food for 20 baht next to the pond.

Garden of pots

The most creative area is the pot garden. Here are figures created from ordinary clay pots. You will see cars, arches, gazebos, trains made from pots. When you walk among these figures, you are simply amazed at what a person’s imagination is capable of.

Stonehenge

An interesting place in this garden is a copy of an ancient English monument - Stonehenge. Here you can see a miniature copy of these mysterious stones.

Garage

However, this is where Madame Nong Nooch’s garden never ceases to amaze. On its territory there is a garage where a collection of sports cars is collected. Many of them are unusual and exclusive. This entire collection of cars belongs to the current owner of the garden.

Zoo

In the Nong Nooch garden there is a small zoo where deer, goats, camels, monkeys, tigers and other animals live. Animal food is sold near the zoo. All herbivores can be petted and fed.

Entertainment

The surprises for visitors to Nong Nooch Garden do not end there. On its territory there are several open areas where various show programs are held. The most popular of them is the show with elephants. These huge animals are very smart and perform many tricks on stage. You will see elephants riding bicycles, playing ball, twirling hoops and more. And at the end of the show, everyone can ride an elephant for a fee.

National dance shows and Muay Thai performances are also popular.

Where to eat?

Walking through the garden takes the whole day, so it is obvious that you will get hungry. But don’t worry about it, since in the garden there are several cafes and restaurants that serve Thai and European dishes. The prices are quite reasonable.

Hotel

If you do not have time to fully explore the Nong Nooch garden in a day, then you can stay overnight at the hotel, which is located on its territory. Moreover, after the garden is closed, restaurants continue to operate, the lights are turned on, and a massive launch of sky lanterns is organized. And this is very beautiful! An overnight stay in such a beautiful place will be remembered for a long time.

Working hours

Madam Nong Nooch Garden is open every day from 8:00 to 18:00. It is better to arrive at the opening itself in order to have time to explore the entire garden. It is also much more pleasant to walk around the garden in the morning, since the sun is not yet so active.

Ticket prices

Entrance fee is 800 baht per person. The price includes viewing of all shows in the garden. Children under 120 cm enter free of charge.

How to get there?

There are several ways to get to Nong Nooch Garden. But the best option is to go on a guided tour. The fact is that the cost of the excursion is lower than the price of the entrance ticket. This is due to the fact that travel agencies provide good discounts for group visits. If you have to pay 800 baht for entering the garden on your own, then a tour will cost you 600-700 baht. However, the price of the excursion includes not only the entrance ticket, but also a transfer. Therefore, this is the most profitable option. You can book an excursion at your nearest travel agency or at.

If you decide to get to Nong Nooch Garden by your own transport, then you should drive south from Pattaya along Sukhumvit Road for approximately 45 minutes.
