The best place in bali for swimming. Where to rest in Bali? The best beaches and resorts. They are divided into three types

The favorite island of the Malay archipelago is Bali, washed by the Indian Ocean. Most of the hotels are scattered around the southern part of the island, where, unfortunately, the ocean is often restless. The beaches of Bali regularly delight surfers with high and medium waves, who want to relax on the shore and just swim is more difficult. Of the many beach areas, only a few are suitable for swimming. Let's find out what!

Nusa Dua beaches

Nusa Dua is a resort area located in the southern part of the island. In Nusa Dua, travelers will find several beach areas, each of which is suitable for swimming, including with the younger generation. Waves do not reach the coastline, so the beaches of this part of Bali are safe, in addition, there are practically no undercurrents.

It is worth noting that in winter, good waves rise on the beaches of Nusa Dua, so winter is the season for surfers.

Geger beach

Geger is a well-groomed public beach, regularly cleaned by employees of coastal hotels. There are many restaurants and bars here, it is possible to take a sun lounger for a fee. You will not be bored on the beach, as the locals actively offer to get acquainted with water activities: skiing, yachting, sailboats, etc.

More secluded beach area. Tourists do not appear on Niko so often, which is why the exotic nature of the beach is practically untouched. Although less popular among travelers, there are also places to eat here.

Jimbaran is a huge, five-kilometer-long beach area. Travelers are attracted to the beach by wildlife untouched by man, and several fish restaurants (considered one of the best in Bali). Waves on the beach are rare. Even when the ocean is stormy, they reach negligible magnitude, and the beach is still available for swimming.

The beach is located near the airport, perhaps one of its shortcomings. Tourists regularly hear the noise of planes taking off and landing. In addition, Jimbaran is a place for secluded relaxation. The infrastructure is not well developed here. Of course, there are bars and cafes in the surrounding areas, but active entertainment, like on the beaches of Nusa Dua, is difficult to find.

By the way, in January and February, monsoons reign here, which is why a lot of garbage is carried to the coastline.

Another popular resort area among travelers is Bukit. The resort is located in the south of the island, behind the Jimbaran beach. It is in the territories of Bouquet that tourists can get acquainted with the true nature of Bali. Wild and beautiful, the beaches attract many tourists, which is why in the last two years they have been “overgrown” with infrastructure at a decent level.

The best beaches of Bali, located on the territory of Bouquet, have the following names:

The most famous among vacationers, as it is easy to get to. The ocean is almost always smooth, only occasionally very small waves rise. From the infrastructure - sun loungers, umbrellas and kiosks with cold water, there are small cafes for a snack.

Even more picturesque than Padang-Padang. The area of the beach itself is not too big, but very clean. It is better to stop in the extreme parts of Balagan, as there are large waves in the central zone. The beach is equipped, you can always rent sun loungers and sunshades.

On the territory of Bouqueta there are still many wild beaches with a beautiful view, but swimming there is dangerous because of the big waves. In general, before getting to the beach while relaxing in Bali, we recommend that you ask the locals about the safest places to swim.

The best beaches in Bali are the perfect place for relaxation, meditation, relaxation and extreme entertainment. Hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world go to one of the most beautiful islands of Indonesia to spend their holidays here. The beaches of Bali are pure sand or snow-white pebbles, picturesque landscapes, high cliffs and an amazingly beautiful ocean, the color of the water in which amazes with the number of shades. Many of the island's beaches are unsuitable for swimming due to high waves and ripple currents that can carry swimmers into the ocean, but there are also beautiful beaches where the sea is relatively calm and comfortable.

white sand

The beach got its name due to the white sand, which was brought here on purpose to ennoble the territory and attract travelers. Over time, the sand was washed out and at present the coast has a more grayish tint, and sometimes there are completely black areas.

White Sand cannot be called an equipped beach, although sun loungers and umbrellas are installed on its territory. Rather, it is wild, and no one particularly monitors the cleanliness of the coastline. In different parts of the coastline, you can see algae washed ashore by waves, as well as cacti lying on the ground, falling from a sheer cliff.

On the right side of White Sand there is a coral reef that attracts fans of scuba diving and watching the underwater world. The sea is calmer than on other beaches, but there are still waves. You can have lunch or just a snack in several cafes right on the beach, which are owned by the residents of Candidasa. An automobile highway leads from Sanur to the beach, turning from it towards Chandidasa, you will have to drive several kilometers off-road.

"Fabulous beach! Very beautiful coast! The sand is not white, but it is still more pleasant to relax here than on other beaches in Bali. The locals are very sociable, trying to play with the children of vacationers. Everything in the cafe is very expensive.

Jemeluk Bay

The beach is located next to the village of the same name in a picturesque bay. This is one of the best diving spots in Bali. There are many coral reefs that attract scuba divers with their beauty and unusualness.

The entire beach of Jemeluk Bay is covered with small white pebbles. Its territory is not too large, but it allows you to comfortably sit on a sunbed or mattress, which are rented by local residents. The ocean in this part of the coast is quite quiet. Strong waves are quite rare.

Near the beach there are the necessary objects of tourist and resort infrastructure: rental of equipment for water entertainment, hotels, cafes, shops, parking. Due to the fact that the sea in this place is calm, and there are almost no significant low tides, the coastline is not littered with algae and other debris. Calm water is very clear, and swimming in it is a pleasure.

“We really enjoyed relaxing on this beach. The pebbles are small, you can walk without shoes, there were no strong waves, the sea is calm and clean. Standing in the water, you see your legs and the bottom. Excellent service at cafes nearby. We tried all kinds of seafood. I recommend this small but very cozy beach.”

dreamland

Locals say that once a traveler from Italy, a professional surfer, rested on this beach. He was so struck by the tall emerald-colored waves approaching the sandy shore that he decided to call it "Dreamland".

Dreamland is quite a popular beach with tourists. Pleasant sand for walking and a rapidly developing infrastructure allow you to relax comfortably, enjoying the picturesque view of the ocean. The beach is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas that can be rented. Near the beach and on its territory, vacationers can eat in a cafe and restaurant, order drinks in several bars.

You can rarely see swimmers here. The wave is too high to be safe in the water. But the beach traditionally attracts surfers. Near Dreamland there is a large hotel where you can stay, as well as several bungalows and villas for rent. You can get to the beach by road following the signs from the city of Kuta.
The journey will take about half an hour.

“A great beach to spend time in nature, sunbathe and relax. The chairs are comfortable and the umbrellas are big. Swimming here is unrealistically difficult, as the wave covers you with your head. They say that the sea is calmer at low tides, but we did not manage to catch this phenomenon.

green bowl

Incredibly beautiful beach of dark golden sand on the Bukit Peninsula. A narrow coastal strip is located under a high cliff, and several hundred steep steps lead to the beach. For swimming, this beach is considered very dangerous. It's all about the breaking wave, which often occurs in the coastal zone of the ocean. Its peculiarity is that a strong current draws a person into a wide channel and can carry it into the open ocean.

Green Bowl is a wild beach, not devoid of some resort charms that are located on top of a cliff. Here tourists are met by enterprising Balinese selling souvenirs, selling various drinks and food. This beach is preferred by lovers of relaxation away from civilization, as well as surfers who use the rip current to get on the line up.

At high tide, the coast is completely covered by the waters of the ocean, and at this time you cannot rest here. But the golden sand quickly dries up at low tide and is ready to receive tourists again. The best way to get to the beach is by car or even by bike. From Kuta, a trip by road will take 35–40 minutes.

“We came to this beach out of curiosity. We were told that monkeys walk around here, there are a lot of surfers and the ocean is incredibly beautiful. The information has been confirmed. While descending from the cliff along a huge number of steps, we saw enough of wild monkeys. There are a lot of surfers though. You can only admire the ocean, it is impossible to swim here because of the high wave, and it is even forbidden.”

Bias Tegul

Bias Tegul Beach is located near the port of Padangbai. To find it, you need to go through a small forest grove. The secluded beach is perfect for swimming and relaxing. It is also called secret because of the location hidden from human eyes.

The beach is covered with soft, pleasant to the touch sand. Despite the proximity to the port, which is constantly visited by ships, the water here is crystal clear. Every now and then a snow-white line of foam, which is created by a soft wave, slowly rolls up to the shore.

There are several warungs on the beach - thatched roof cafes where locals cook and sell food. The beach has an interesting feature. The rocks located on the shore have small caves into which water regularly enters. Squeezed out by the accumulated air, it crumbles into a fountain of spray, rising several meters in height - an incredible sight.

Even at the peak of the season there are not many tourists here. The beach is quite difficult to find, making your way from the port along a narrow mountain path.

“Gorgeous beach with fine light sand and very beautiful scenery. Surrounded by mountains, it seems to be hiding from prying eyes so that tourists do not find it and violate such beauty. The water here seemed a little colder than on other beaches, but, getting used to it, we splashed in plenty!

Kuta

One of the best beaches in Kuta. It is famous for its long golden sandy coastline. A lot of tourists always rest here, who want to soak up the hot Indonesian sun and enjoy clean, warm water.

Kuta Beach stretches along the coast for 8 km. Its strip is wide enough to accommodate many sun loungers with umbrellas, which are arranged in several rows. Excellent infrastructure attracts here not only foreigners vacationing in Kuta, but also its residents.

You can surf on the beach. The art of boarding on the waves is taught by experienced instructors. For a small fee, you can go to a massage parlor, of which there are several dozen on the beach, or order drinks in bars.

The city embankment runs along the shore - a favorite place for tourists to walk. There is everything that vacationers may need - cafes, restaurants, shops, souvenir shops. Kuta Beach is famous for its magnificent sunsets, which tourists specially come to see.

“We rested in Kuta and visited this beach several times. Very large, but there are a lot of tourists, so you need to come early to find a free sunbed. Merchants are very annoying, they do not care that you are lying and sunbathing with your eyes closed, they stop and offer their products. But the beach itself is very beautiful, clean and comfortable.”

Mengiat

The beach is located on the south coast of Bali. A wide sandy strip stretching along the coast attracts many tourists. From Kuta, you can come here by bus or by renting a car or bike.

Mengiat is a clean, equipped beach with excellent infrastructure. Despite its popularity among foreign holidaymakers, it is not as crowded as Kuta's beaches. You can always find a free sunbed and stay on it by paying a small rent.

The sea on this beach is calm and comfortable for swimming throughout the high tourist season. It is protected from strong waves by a large number of coral reefs. From the shore, the sea has an unusually beautiful color - a mixture of azure and emerald. Garbage and algae are carefully removed by the staff. On Mengiat you can engage in active water activities, have lunch or a light snack in a cafe, use the services of massage parlors.

“A wonderful place to relax on the beach, sunbathe and swim without feeling discomfort. The sea is very beautiful, the entrance is not too steep, and in some parts of the beach it is quite gentle, which allows children to splash around.

Jimbaran Beach

One of the best beaches in south Bali. It is located in a beautiful bay with picturesque views, modern hotels and villas. A fairly wide coastline allows you to comfortably accommodate a large number of tourists and vacationers. The length of the beach is over 5 km.

The entrance to the sea on the entire beach is very gentle, and the depth near the coast is small, which allows not only adults, but also children to enjoy water activities. The bottom is very clean and sandy. The cleanliness and order on the beach itself is carefully monitored. There is no trash here.

Jimbaran Beach and its vacationers are served by several restaurants and cafes located on the shore. You can sit in the shade of the awnings or order food directly to the sun lounger. Basically, they cook dishes from seafood, which fishermen rent to restaurants. In the early morning you can see them returning with their catch. Fans of boat trips can use the services of local residents who will arrange a tour of the smooth surface of the sea on their own boats.

“Great place for a family vacation. We rested in a hotel near the beach and enjoyed this beauty every day. The sea is calm, clean, the beach is spacious, equipped. Entrance for hotel guests was free. I liked that if you wish, they will immediately bring you drinks or food from local cafes.

Balangan

The beach is located on the Bukit Peninsula near the city of Jimbaran. It is a narrow sandy strip along the coast 700 meters long. In the northern part of the beach, a high rock deepens into the ocean, on which wedding photo shoots often take place. Balangan is a popular surf slot.

Even at the peak of the season, there are not too many vacationers on the beach. Mostly guests of local hotels sunbathe here, less often - visitors. Along the coast, you can see many warungs where seafood is cooked. Climbing the mountain along the stone steps, vacationers get to a picturesque area where there are several hotels and villas.

Swimming in Balangan is not very convenient due to high waves. On rare days, when the water is calmer, tourists splash around the shore, but such entertainment is considered quite dangerous, especially since there are no lifeguards on the beach. The most comfortable place for swimming is the northern part of the beach near the cliff. The sand on the coastline is fine and clean. There are sun loungers and umbrellas for the convenience of vacationers.

“Take the time to travel and be sure to visit this beach. Even when descending from the mountain, you can see the entire coastal strip - long, with yellow sand, it curves in an arc, as if hugging the ocean. There are many inexpensive warungs on the beach where you can have a hearty lunch. Swimming is difficult, but it is very interesting to watch the surfers.”

Padangbai Beach

A small cozy beach surrounded by rocks with lush green vegetation. The entire coastline is pure white sand. Padangbai Beach is rightfully considered one of the best beaches in Bali, where you can relax and spend time. In addition, this is a popular surf slot for both experienced surfers and beginners.

There are several warungs along the coastline that cook and sell dishes from fresh seafood caught in the ocean in the morning. You can also order drinks here. Rescuers are watching closely.

The water in the ocean is often calm, long waves slowly roll onto the shore. Swimming is better on the left side of the shore. There are no umbrellas or sunbeds on the beach. Vacationers are located right on the sand, on rugs and towels brought with them.

Padangbai Beach is famous for the fact that several episodes of the famous film "More Pray, Love" with Julia Roberts were filmed on it. After the release of the movie, Padangbai Beach became even more popular. For those who do not like a lot of people on the beach, it is best to come here in the morning and afternoon hours.

“The water is warm, the waves are low, the sand is fine, pleasant. A wonderful beach in a cozy bay with a beautiful landscape. Swimming is not always possible, but we managed to enjoy plenty of clear water of an unusually beautiful color. Only pleasant impressions!

Bali welcomes tourists all year round. There are no four seasons familiar to Europeans. In the winter months, the weather is as comfortable as in the summer months, but this is the time of the rainy season. Showers are short-term and most often occur in the evening and at night. The most popular period for travelers is from May to October. The air temperature at this time is kept at +33 degrees, and the water warms up to +26. These are the best months to not only spend time on the picturesque beaches, but also to get to know the local culture.

99% of tourists come to Bali for an unforgettable beach holiday. And the famous sunsets are an absolutely stunning sight. Photos from the island of Bali resemble advertising booklets, it is so exotic here. The beaches of the island are especially good because each of them is different from the others and has features that are unique to him, so that any vacationer will find "his" piece of paradise on the ocean.

Most of the beaches are concentrated in the south of the island: Kuta, Benoa, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur and Uluwatu. In the northwest - Lovina. Of the novelties - not yet very popular, but excellent Amed beach in the east.

A feature of the beaches in Bali that surprises tourists who are not accustomed to relaxing on the ocean is the ebb and flow associated with the influence of the moon on the oceans. At high tide, the water level rises, bringing algae, debris and living creatures from the ocean. At low tide, the water recedes, leaving a wide shoal where you can collect a variety of shells, starfish and corals.

But due to low tides, sometimes it is impossible to swim during the day on some beaches. The opportunity to enjoy the ocean is provided by nature only until 9 am and after 4 pm. The difficulty also lies in the fact that it is almost impossible to predict the exact time of high or low tides, although an approximate schedule in Bali must be drawn up a month in advance.

Therefore, when choosing a suitable beach, this feature must be taken into account. It can be immediately noted that the tides are not very noticeable on the beaches of Nusa Dua and Jimbaran.

The best beaches in Bali for swimming

Let's take a closer look at the most popular beaches in order to understand which one can be considered the best of the best. Although it is worth noting that in the photo all the beaches of Bali look fantastically beautiful.

  • Kuta is the most popular beach, excellent infrastructure. However, an excessive number of tourists and sufficiently high waves are unlikely to allow you to enjoy a beach holiday in full. Also, Kuta Beach has a rather dirty coast in comparison with Nusa Dua beach.

  • Jimbaran, located in the southwest of Bali and adjacent to Nusa Dua on the map, is one of the most peaceful places, the tides are negligible, so you can swim safely, and small waves will delight novice surfers. For example, the tide usually starts after four o'clock in the afternoon, so you can enjoy sunbathing and swimming until that time. The beach is ideal for a quiet family holiday with children. Jimbaran also features very fine, soft golden sand and relatively clear water. Although in fairness it should be noted that due to small waves, the coastal zone is characterized by muddy water.

  • Sanur, like Kuta, is considered one of the best beaches, and in this case, it is. In the photo it looks like a picture: the sea is the calmest on the entire coast, the sand is snow-white, the water is clear, like a diamond. Paradise, and only! On the coast there are coral reefs that are visible at low tide. Due to the variety of living creatures among the corals, diving here will bring real pleasure. However, this beach, ideal for families with children, is quite expensive, the prices here are somewhat higher than in other resorts.

  • Nusa Dua is a popular elite resort where many tourists come, unfortunately, it is unlikely to please with the transparency and cleanliness of coastal waters, due to low tides you can’t buy here until 3-4 pm. Although the sand is amazing, it's true.

  • Benoa, located a 10-minute drive from Nusa Dua, is a young and already highly sought after beach of the island. Marvelous exotic nature, white sand and water, clear as a tear, quickly earned him popularity. But even here there are very tangible ebb and flow. However, in addition to swimming, on Benoa you can enjoy sea fishing, diving, boating, paragliding. By the way, the sand here is healing, so Benoa is also the heart of thalassotherapy.

  • Lovina is a resort in the northwest of Bali, suitable for a relaxing holiday and characterized by black sand. Because of the small waves, surfers have nothing to do here. But here there are healing hot sulfur springs Banjar - you can combine business with pleasure, and you get used to the specific smell quickly.

  • Amed is a slightly rocky beach with black sand of volcanic origin in the northeast of Bali. It is not crowded here, and Amed itself is not very popular, but the stunningly beautiful nature, unusual sand and amazingly sunny weather make this beach a great place for a family vacation.

The best beaches in Bali for surfing

  • The top beaches of Bali suitable for surfing rightfully belongs to Kuta. Lack of coral reefs and huge waves - what else do surfers need? It is also the entertainment center of the island, very beloved by visiting youth.
  • Legian, although considered part of Kuta, is still not so crowded. This beach is better for surfing than swimming. Although the ocean here is also not entirely calm, this does not prevent many tourists from enjoying the water. The sand on the Legian beach is not snow-white, but grayish, but also exceptionally pleasant to the touch.
  • Uluwatu is a young resort, a chic place for surfing: amazing nature, clean beaches with warm sand and huge waves. Although for a family holiday, according to some tourists, this beach is also suitable.
  • Jimbaran, described above, is suitable for beginner surfers due to small waves.

Bali is the most famous resort island in Indonesia. It has long been a stereotype that Bali is traditionally a beach holiday in the shade of banana trees with an exotic cocktail in hand.

The whole truth about a beach holiday in Bali

Arriving in Bali, you will often meet unkempt and dirty beaches than snow-white sands and endless azure expanses.

All the beaches of the island are municipal, so the entrance to them is open even to locals. In places especially flooded with tourists, merchants arrange a real market out of the beaches. All around is the characteristic noise and din.

Bali is more likely a paradise for surfers than for ordinary swimmers. Waves (and not small ones) rise along the entire coast every day. It is only possible to pick up that part of the resort where their intensity is slightly less.

Bali is washed by the Indian Ocean. Ebb and flow is its main feature. There is a rough schedule for what time, for example, to expect low tide. So it turns out that you swim in the ocean also on schedule.

Types of Bali beaches

On the northern coast of Bali you will find dark sands of volcanic origin, while the southern tip is white, golden beaches with fine sand.

Southern coast of Bali

The most suitable beaches for a relaxed holiday are located in the south. This is a coastal strip from Kuta and Legian to elite resorts on the Bukit peninsula.

But it should be understood that the state of the beaches and conditions will directly depend on the current season. In summer they are the cleanest and most comfortable, while in winter the western beaches of Bukit are always covered with debris and seaweed. And this is despite the fact that first-class hotel workers try to clean them daily.

For guaranteed calm ocean waters, head to the beaches Mengiat And Geger in Nusa Dua.

From Kuta you have to get about 40 minutes. Here the waves do not reach the bathing area due to the natural barrier, the coral reef. Fine sand, good beach equipment, cozy cafes on the beach. By the way, Geger is one of the few beaches in Bali where topless sunbathing is allowed.

Legian Beach- a wide stretch of dark yellow sand shaded by tall trees, a wide range of hotels, bars and restaurants. It is excellent for walking, relaxing, surfing, but not for swimming due to strong undercurrents.

Sanur Beach- a beautiful beach with artificial white sand once brought there, completely replacing the volcanic black. Bali's capital, Sanur, is 10 km away.

Modern resort with a huge number of beach activities to choose from.

A particularly tasty place is a piece of the beach opposite the Grand Bali Beach Hotel.

An exceptionally calm holiday in every sense of the word: the prudently installed breakwaters make the sea ideal for swimming, and the absence of clubs and discos creates a rather peaceful atmosphere.

Jimbaran Beach notable for a less steep descent into the water and a calmer ocean mood. It is located just 5 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Kuta. Well-groomed white sandy beach and developed tourist infrastructure. There are no low tides as such, but the water can be stirred up by waves.

Jimbaran beach in the fishing village

Tanzhung Benoa Beach, remote north of Nusa Dua, is famous for its crystal clear waters. Of the minuses: strong low tides that make swimming impossible, sand mixed with pebbles, algae thrown ashore and great depth immediately after entering the water.

North coast of Bali

The north coast has volcanic beaches. Here the water is calmer, as it is no longer an ocean, but the Bali Sea. And very beautiful nature. Almost all beaches are concentrated in the Buleleng region. Among the most popular are a strip of coastal villages - "Tukad Mungga", "Anturan", "Kalibukbuk" and "Temukus".

All of them are included in a single resort called "Lovina". It is not as developed as its southern "brothers", but nevertheless, the most necessary infrastructure on the beaches is available. An indisputable advantage of Lovina is the absence of a huge number of tourists during the high season.

Northern resort Bali, Lovina

For excellent snorkeling and diving, do not hesitate to go to the northeast. Here is the Amed resort with volcanic black beaches, where professional diving centers operate.

East Coast Bali

The eastern beaches of Bali are small in size and lack beautiful sunsets, but there are no huge crowds, fine sand and excellent places for snorkeling and diving. This is Padangbai Beach.

and Pasir Putih Beach.

White sand on ""Pasir-Putih"" and turquoise water

West coast Bali

The western part of the island is not very developed in terms of beaches, so it is ideal for lovers of adventure and everything unknown. It is rocky, but it offers breathtaking views of the mighty Indian Ocean.

More or less swimmable beach - " Candikusumah Beach».

Excellent surf beaches

Although a true surfer in Bali is happy everywhere, there are still special "evil" places where real professionals gather. All of them are located on the Bukit Peninsula. This is Kuta

Uluwatu, Padang-Padang, Balangan,

Dreamland, Green Ball and Bingin.

Diving on the beach ""Bingin""

Choose "your" beach in Bali and relax with pleasure!

A paradise vacation on the islands is almost always associated with snow-white beaches and the azure sea. Bali is no exception. Hundreds of tourists come here every year to spend their holidays on the ocean. The sand on the shore is white and soft, walking on it is a pleasure. The beach is wide enough to accommodate a large number of tourists.

Due to its shallow depth and smooth entry into the ocean, Jimbaran Beach is great for families, including those with small children. The bottom is sandy, you can not worry that you will get hurt when entering the water. Another advantage is cleanliness, here they carefully monitor the order.

The infrastructure is well developed within Jimbaran. Only modern hotels are provided for accommodation. Meals are organized in cafes and restaurants, most of which are located near the shore. The basis of the diet is seafood dishes. Every day, local fishermen deliver fresh catch, therefore, there is no doubt about the quality of the products.

Dreamland beach

Dreamland Beach is especially popular among tourists. Pleasant to the touch light-colored sand allows you to enjoy evening walks along the coast. There is a good infrastructure, which is developing rapidly. For the convenience of tourists, there are umbrellas and sun loungers that can be rented for a fee.

There are a sufficient number of cafes and restaurants on the beach, where you can try different cuisines of the world. Due to the large waves, the beach is not suitable for swimming. Mostly those who live by surfing rest here. The hotel fund is represented by a large hotel, several villas and bungalows.

Padang Padang beach

It is located in the southwestern part of Bukit. The beach is located next to the rocks. This is a unique place where you can swim in the ocean and ride a surfboard at the same time. The length of the beach is no more than 100 m. To get to the beach, you need to go down the cliff.

Padang Padang Beach is popular with filmmakers and photographers. Clips were filmed here, as well as the famous film “Eat. Pray. Love." Therefore, the beach has become the most popular in Bali.

The first surfers appeared here long before Padang Padang was mastered by tourists. In 2004, international surfing competitions were held here. Not far from the coast, a special type of waves is formed, called a "pipe".

Bingin Beach

A small beach located almost in the southernmost part of Bali. It will not be difficult to get to it from both Kuta and Denpasar. The beach is covered with light sand, on which turquoise waves gently roll. Bingin is a great place for sunsets. Hundreds of tourists come here every evening to enjoy the most beautiful sight.

If you decide to swim here, then it’s better to come at high tide, then the waves are not so high, this allows you to swim at least a little from the coast. If there are no red flags near the shore, then you can swim even at low tide, but you need to be careful, as there can be a large number of stones in the water.

A lot of surfers come to the beach. There are a variety of accommodation options available. Cheaper accommodation is located at the bottom of the beach.

Melasti beach

Although this beach is little explored, this does not prevent it from being one of the most beautiful on the island. It is located in the south of Bali and is considered a good place for a family holiday. In addition, lovers and elderly people come here. Due to the beautiful scenery, newlyweds often visit the beach to take a photo shoot.

Melasti Beach is unofficially divided into three parts. Due to the wide coastline, a fairly large number of tourists can be accommodated here, and most importantly, each of them will feel as comfortable as possible.

There is one interesting attraction on the beach - the Kori Agung gate. Due to high waves, the beach is not suitable for swimming, but the water in the ocean is very clear. Most of the vacationers gather on the beach in the afternoon, so if you want a more secluded holiday, then come here in the morning. The length of the coastline is about 1 kilometer, on all sides the coast is surrounded by rocks, which gives it some kind of peculiarity.

Pandawa beach

This is another beautiful white sand beach in southern Bali. Pandava is well equipped, sun loungers and umbrellas are installed along the coastline. The coastline is wide, but not the entire area of the beach can be used for swimming. In places, red flags have been set up, which symbolize the ban on water procedures.

On the left side of Pandava Beach there is a cozy gazebo, it can be used for beautiful photo shoots and friendly conversations, while admiring ocean views in parallel. There are not many tourists on the beach, which allows you to enjoy a more secluded pastime. It is best to come to the coast at low tide, this will allow you to fully enjoy the water procedures, as the waves during this period become minimal.

Tourist infrastructure is located on the right. There are several cafes, shops, and you can rent a kayak there. Another plus of Pandava is the relatively low cost of food in a cafe, but you need to be prepared for the fact that the basis of the menu is national dishes.

nikko beach

The beach is located near Nusa Dua, despite this, not everyone has heard of it. It houses the eponymous 5-star hotel. There are almost never high tides on Nikko, which allows both adults and children to swim here. The infrastructure is poorly developed, as a small number of tourists rest on the coast.

But if you decide to spend the day in this paradise, be sure that everything you need will be provided for your comfort. For tourists, umbrellas with sun loungers are installed, there are several cafes and shops, massage services are provided, and there is also a surf school. The coast is covered with white sand, the water in the ocean is clean.

Geger beach

This is another great beach located near Nusa Dua. Not far from the coast there is a coral reef, thanks to which the ocean remains quiet and calm almost at any time of the year. Due to the fact that Geger Beach faces east, a light sea breeze always blows here, and the water in the ocean is slightly warmer than in other similar parts of Bali. The entrance to the water is smooth, the bottom is shallow, you can safely come here with children. For the convenience of tourists, sun loungers are installed.

A strip of cafes and restaurants stretches along the coast, serving local and international cuisine. Unlike other beaches on the island, topless sunbathing is allowed on Geger. The tourist infrastructure is developed at a high level, only it is not located along the entire coastline. But if you wish, you can always find a cozy cafe.

Nusa Dua beach

It is the most prestigious beach in Bali. It has a length of about 3 kilometers, within which the best 5-star hotels of the island are concentrated. The coastline is formed by light sand, cleanliness is carefully monitored here and even in the low season the coast remains clean.

Nusa Dua Beach has everything you need to relax. First-class restaurants open their doors here, where you can taste dishes from different nations of the world. Along the shore there are sunbeds with umbrellas. During the day, a huge amount of entertainment is available, including water ski rental, wakeboard, surfing and more. On the beach you will never see annoying traders, any kind of trade in this region is punishable by law.

Bias Tugal Beach

If you are a true romantic and want to enjoy the Balinese sunrise, then this beach is what you need. It is located in the southeast of the island. This beach is a great place for diving and snorkeling. There are almost never high waves here, and the underwater world is striking in its beauty and diversity.
