Designed to receive passengers traveling both in Russia and around the world. Therefore, many passengers need to correctly and clearly navigate the airport building. It was finished building and preparing for 2009, when the first flight took place.

The building itself has the shape of a swan with a huge dome, which seems to be covered with petals. To better understand where and how to go there, you need to know the scheme of the Sheremetyevo terminal, namely terminal D.

The terminal is part of the South Terminal Complex. From the center of Moscow to it about 9 km, which means that it will take about an hour to get to it, if you count without traffic jams.

Multi-level parking in Terminal D of Sheremetyevo Airport is located in a neighboring building. Designed for 3950 seats.

It is not very convenient, since the markings there are made in such a way that, when opening the door of your car, it is difficult not to touch the next one. Driving directions to the parking lot of Terminal D in Sheremetyevo are presented below.

Sheremetyevo is one of the largest airports in Moscow. The capacity of the air complex allows serving up to forty million passengers a year. This is the number of people who visited the site in 2017.

Four operating terminals (A, D, F, E) are located on an area of five hundred thousand square meters, the building of the fifth terminal (terminal B) is under reconstruction. If you look at the general scheme of objects, you can see that terminal A is located much further from the others. And terminals E, F, D and the Aeroexpress railway station are connected by pedestrian corridors and are called the “South Terminal Complex”.

Many experienced tourists still remember the relatively new Terminal C, which was opened ten years ago and met the level of international standards. It is this building that is now integrated into Terminal B. Its opening is scheduled for May 2018. This new facility is planned to be connected to the South Passenger and Luggage Underground Rail Complex.

Terminal A (SVO-A)

This is the smallest area of the aerocomplex, serving private jets and belonging to the class of business aviation. The facility occupies three thousand square meters and serves about seventy thousand passengers a year. From the Moscow ring road to building A, drive about thirteen kilometers along the Leningradskoye highway.

Terminal D (SVO-D)

This object occupies the largest area - one hundred and seventy-two thousand square meters. More than twelve thousand passengers pass through it every year. The SVO-D building consists of four floors. The right side of the complex is designed for international flights, and the left side for domestic flights.

In 2009, Terminal F was opened after significant modernization and reconstruction. The five floors of the SVO-F building have everything for a comfortable stay of passengers. On the first floor of the building in the arrivals area, you can make a free call within Russia. Three telephone booths are located immediately opposite the exits from the building.

You can order a licensed taxi from a single airport operator (Yandex.Taxi) at the counters on the left and right sides of the complex (next to the exit). There are also ATMs, currency exchange offices, a post office, a pharmacy, a first-aid post, and interactive information kiosks in the arrivals area.

On the second floor, in the departure hall in the left wing of the building, you can find a pedestrian crossing to the railway terminal (aeroexpress), to air complexes D and E. Passengers get to the third floor after passing through customs and passport control. It is here that there is a large selection of catering places (cafes, restaurants), duty-free shops, VIP halls.

The fourth floor occupies a small area where there are a couple of restaurants. The fifth floor will be of interest to those who want to visit the Sheremetyevo History Museum. On an area of five hundred square meters, unique exhibits are collected, in the amount of more than three thousand.

This modern exhibition will amaze you with its design features, panoramic views of the runway, and the historical value of the items. Here you can listen to the tour guide and take a beautiful photo.

Railway terminal (Aeroexpress)

This terminal has been serving passengers for ten years (open since 2008). It can be found in the southern complex at the level of the third floor of terminal F. The infrastructure of the zone includes skype-cabins of the Sheremetyevo hotel, restaurants, cafes, a mother and child room. Two ticket offices operate on the right and left side of the hall.

At the entrance to the railway terminal area, you can use the luggage wrapping service. In the same left part of the hall there is a pedestrian corridor with travolators to the airport shuttle and terminals F, E, D.

The changing room is also located on the left side of the hall next to the Pelmeni cafe, opposite the elevator and escalators. You can use the free phone charging service in the central part of the zone, next to the Shokoladnitsa cafe, Burger King fast food restaurant and Starbuck coffee house.

Eleven ATMs of Sberbank, City Bank, VTB 24, Promsvyazbank are distributed around the entire perimeter of the terminal. A branch of Sberbank can be found on the left side of the hall, not far from the transition to other airport complexes. The opening hours of the branch are from half past nine in the morning until half past eight in the evening.

Aeroexpress from Sheremetyevo departs every thirty minutes and goes to the Belorussky railway station. The train arrives at its destination in thirty-five minutes. The fare is five hundred rubles one way, if you buy a ticket on the website, then the transfer will be cheaper.

Sheremetyevo is a new major airport in Russia. In addition, he entered the list of the largest airports on the European continent. The planes of all airlines that are engaged in international flights depart from here.

About 97 thousand people pass through the territory of Sheremetyevo Airport every day, this number grows to 35 million people a year.

Airliners are constantly taking off and landing here. The area occupied by Sheremetyevo and all its terminals is huge. That is why it is so important to be aware of their location. Let's take a closer look at the airport plan, access roads, public transport stops and private vehicles.

Plan of Sheremetyevo Airport: Terminals of the Southern Complex

The unified scheme of terminals is made in the same style and according to general principles. They are placed at the information stands of Sheremetyevo Airport due to the huge passenger traffic and expanded infrastructure. This solution allows tourists to better navigate the place.

The path to the South Terminal Complex lies along the railway route. It goes from Moscow to the final stop "International Terminal Sheremetyevo". You can get from the city to the desired flight using Aeroexpress. Transport departs from the Belorussky railway station every 20-30 minutes throughout the day. The train does not make stops, so the whole journey takes a little more than half an hour.

The southern complex is represented by three operating terminals - D, E and F, which serve domestic and international flights. The Aeroexpress train arrives at the station, from where you can go to the desired part of the terminal. Inside the building there are inscriptions and cursors that help you navigate in this area of the complex. Also here is a detailed map of Sheremetyevo.

Terminal D

This compartment serves domestic and international flights. The building contains 4 levels:

  • 1st floor (aircraft arrivals hall);
  • on the 2nd there are comfortable waiting rooms for passengers, they also lead to parking spaces;
  • 3rd is for those who check in before departure. There are 99 counters for checking documents, access to the other two terminals of the complex, as well as access to runways 1-3 and 5-8;
  • 4th opens access to runways 11-32.

The entire complex of terminals is designed for the needs of guests and air passengers. At their disposal are recreation areas, cafeterias, mother and child rooms and much more.

Terminal E

On the map of Sheremetyevo Airport, Department E is clearly visible. The first floor of this building is reserved for the arrivals area.

On the second one there are registration desks, as well as exits - to terminal F and the train stop. From the third floor, passengers go to take-off areas 33-41.

Terminal F

At Sheremetyevo Airport, this terminal is the largest. It consists of five floors, where the first two have the same purpose as the other departments. Runways 42-58 open from the third level, the fourth is completely reserved for restaurants. The 5th floor has placed a museum on its territory, which can be visited by all guests.

Scheme of Sheremetyevo Airport and the terminals of the Northern Complex

The map of Sheremetyevo clearly shows the location of this complex. It occupies a place in the northern part of the building and is under reconstruction. So far, all the terminals that function here are zones A and C. Unlike other terminals, air transportation services are provided here for business customers and passengers of business airlines.

It is expected that after the completion of the restoration, the Northern Terminal Complex will increase its capacity to 40 million people a year. Points A, C can withstand a passenger flow of 15 million people. Together with Terminal B, which is temporarily out of service, an underground corridor is expected to open, connecting both sections of the building.

Terminal A

The scheme, where Sheremetyevo is revealed in great detail, point A is located on four floors. The 1st and 2nd levels perform work according to the standard principle, like the rest of the terminal objects. On the 3rd and 4th floors, in addition to access to the runways and recreation areas, the largest duty-free zone in Europe has been built. From terminal A there is a passage to the parking lot, it is designed for a thousand places. Tourists and citizens can leave their vehicles here for the duration of the trip.

Terminal C

Service Point C operated until April 2017. It is under renovation until 2018, so for some time no one can use charter services in this area. Scheme of the airport by floors:

  1. place of registration and issue of luggage;
  2. branches of Sberbank and Russian Post;
  3. passage to sites 1-11;
  4. business hall;
  5. VIP waiting area.

Sheremetyevo International Airport is rightfully considered one of the most progressive and huge not only in Russia, but also in the world. It's no joke, now the airport even has its own underground metro. In this article, we will talk about the renovation of Sheremetyevo Airport and Terminal B (B), what has fundamentally changed and what innovations to expect.

So, Sheremetyevo Airport and the new terminal B. In fact, the terminal is not particularly new, since it was here before, but in a short period of time the airport management radically transformed it, organized convenient access to the once remote terminal, which created the prerequisites for relocation of domestic flights from terminal D and B.

Yes, it will come as a complete surprise to someone, but starting from June 2018, Aeroflot is gradually transferring domestic flights to Terminal B, and from 2019, all domestic flights of this airline (and something suggests that not only this one) will move to the terminal IN.

All international flights remain at their former locations, the changes affected only flights within Russia.
It is not worth ringing the bells about the difficult transport accessibility, everything has already been resolved and passengers will not have problems with moving at all. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail and you no longer need to wait for a free shuttle, as there is a metro.

Important, carefully check the place of arrival and departure, in addition to the abbreviation SVO, the terminal is also indicated on the ticket.

How to get there

So, getting to Terminal B has become even easier for Aeroexpress passengers, and nothing has changed for public transport lovers or owners of a private car.

Let's start with the simplest - the subway or, according to the generally accepted abbreviation, the mover.

If you plan to get to the terminal complex by Aeroexpress from the Belorussky railway station, after the train arrives at the terminal station, go down between and E (follow the signs). Every four minutes, an improvised metro departs from the station, which is powered by cable traction (there are no drivers). For residents of St. Petersburg, the mover will remind you of the local metro, but only remotely, since the station is separated from the train by a glass wall.

By the way, there are two stations and they are called Sheremetyevo-1 (terminal B) and Sheremetyevo-2 (terminals D, E and F).

There are four cars in total, but only three are reserved for ordinary transit passengers (one car is designed for 8 seats and 19 standing ones). The fourth car is intended for transit travelers.

What is the point, if you are flying abroad through Sheremetyevo and your plane lands in terminal B, and the flight abroad departs from the southern terminal complex (D, E or F) and you have to travel there by underground metro, all pre-flight procedures the passenger goes through in the terminal In, and in a car fenced from the outside world, it arrives at the place of boarding the plane to its destination, bypassing repeated inspections, customs and passport control.

However, this scheme works in one direction, if the flight is to be, on the contrary, from abroad, and arrival is expected at the terminal of the southern complex, and departure from the northern one, you will have to use an ordinary car and go through all the procedures again.

After arriving at the terminal station, passengers go up the stairs to the hall, and here is the attention! Not many people know that elevators are hidden behind the stairs, with a capacity of up to 21 people each.

The metro ride is free.

In the event that you plan to travel by bus, then fixed-route taxis (fare - 75 rubles) 948 and 949, as well as buses (fare - 50 rubles) 817, 851 and H1 (night route, departs from South-West), which first stop near Terminal B, and only then follow to the northern part of the airport. You can read more about how to get to the airport in our article. There are several unpleasant moments, immediately after the opening there were problems with minibus stops (they stopped near the "Police" and then it took quite a long time to go), if the problem disappeared, write about it in the comments.

For a car, it is better to use a navigator when laying a road, although the path is not the most difficult. It is worth remembering that if you are coming from Moscow, you do not need to turn onto the international highway, since terminal B is located on Sheremetevsky (the second lapel).

The route map is shown below.

Below is a map that you can explore on your own.

As for car parks (parking), the system is exactly the same as near terminal D, there is a so-called express parking lot where you can’t stand for more than 15 minutes. In case of violation of this requirement, the fine is 800 rubles per hour. If you want to leave the car for a longer period, then you need to go to the parking lot, where the rate is already quite acceptable - 200 rubles per hour or 800 rubles per day. Don't worry if your flight arrives late at night, parking is open 24/7. A huge covered passage stretches from the parking lot to the airport building.

If you decide to use taxi services, expect that the price of the trip will be from 600 to 1500 rubles, and it is best to use Yandex.taxi or any other application to call a car.

Terminal description

The operation of the new terminal B began in the summer, and the reconstruction made itself felt, the appearance of the building has undergone major changes. The terminal includes two floors, on the first floor there are:

  1. Toilets.
  2. First aid post.
  3. Pharmacy.
  4. ATMs.
  5. Information window (information desk).
  6. Cafe.
  7. Arrival zone.
  8. Waiting hall.
  9. Luggage compartment.

Luggage storage is located near the luggage compartment.

It is worth noting that the construction of the new terminal has affected the external decoration, so now there are sockets on the chairs, in the waiting room and there is no need to squat near the wall.

The departure area is located on the second floor. On both floors there is an information board that informs those meeting about landing or flight delay, and those departing about the status, how much time is left before boarding, etc.

In the center of the first and second floors, a zebra is applied, imitating the transition through the roadway. Such a move by designers is fully justified, you instinctively want to move along it.

The decoration of the walls is inconsistent. Here on one wall there are inscriptions in the style of the USSR, and on the other in the style of Hi-Tech.

Everything is new in the new terminal, even the toilets. New plumbing has been installed here, everything is clean and well maintained, all dryers work, there are special cabins for the disabled.

There are also two business lounges (Kandinsky and Rublev), everything is the same as in conventional terminals. When using the services of superior comfort halls, payment is charged immediately. Among other things, there is a room for the disabled - "Mercury", designed for 20 seats.

An interesting point, in terminal B you can order food right in the arrivals hall (you won’t need to go anywhere) - a kind of food delivery, but the prices are not low either. In addition, you can order flowers for the arriving passenger to the gangway.

Food is ordered through the Globus Gourmet website, and flowers are ordered through the Flowers in a Square sales site or counter.

The official address of terminal B is Russia, Moscow region, Khimki city district, Sheremetyevo airport. More details can be seen on the map below.

So, the photos and videos are very cool, but it's better to see it live, and believe me, you won't be disappointed.

    What to do if the flight is canceled

    If the flight was canceled more than 24 hours before departure, then passengers are transferred to similar flights of the airline. The costs are borne by the carrier, the service is free for the passenger. If none of the options offered by the airline suits you, most airlines can issue a "forced refund". After confirmation by the airline, the money will be returned to your account. Sometimes this may take several weeks.

    How to check in at the airport

    Online check-in is available on the websites of most airlines. Most often, it opens 23 hours before the start of the flight. You can go through it no later than 1 hour before the departure of the aircraft.

    To check in at the airport you will need:

    • the identity card specified in the order,
    • birth certificate when traveling with children,
    • printed itinerary receipt (optional).
  • What can you take on a plane

    Hand luggage is the items that you take with you on the plane. The carry-on baggage allowance can vary from 5 to 10 kg, and its size most often should not exceed the sum of three dimensions (length, width and height) from 115 to 203 cm (depending on the airline). A handbag is not considered hand luggage and is carried freely.

    The bag that you take with you on the plane should not contain knives, scissors, medicines, aerosols, cosmetics. Alcohol from duty free shops can only be carried in sealed bags.

    How to pay for luggage at the airport

    If the baggage weight exceeds the norms established by the airline (most often - 20-23 kg), you need to pay for each kilogram of excess. In addition, many Russian and foreign airlines, as well as low-cost airlines, have tariffs that do not include free baggage allowance and must be paid separately as an additional service.

    Baggage must be checked in at the airport at a separate drop-off check-in desk. If you are unable to print your boarding pass, you can get it at the regular check-in desk of the airline, and check in and check in your luggage there.

    Where to find out the arrival time if you are a greeter

    You can find out the time of arrival of the aircraft on the online scoreboard of the airport. The Tutu.ru website has an online scoreboard of the main Russian and foreign airports.

    You can find out the exit (gate) number on the arrivals board at the airport. This number is located next to the arrival flight information.

    Online arrivals board Sheremetyevo Terminal D

    Terminal D is the largest terminal of Sheremetyevo Airport, put into operation in 2009. It is designed for 12 million passengers annually.

    Both domestic aircraft (for example, Ufa - Moscow) and aircraft operating international flights arrive at Terminal D. For example, planes arrive here from Kazan, Astrakhan, Krasnodar, Omsk, Paris, Tel Aviv, Helsinki, Istanbul, Seoul.
