Crimean parks in French. Nikitsky Botanical Garden: Museum of World Flora. Park "Crimea in miniature"

Vacationers in Crimea appreciate not only the sea and the sun, but also the presence of picturesque shady parks where you can hide from the midday sun or spend the evening, where there is leisure for kids or entertainment for adults, where you can take pictures and just take a walk.

It is important to know that many parks on the Crimean peninsula are monuments of gardening art. They were broken long ago (the youngest is the Cypress Park, which was formed at the beginning of the last century) and for a long time they are carefully guarded, maintained in exemplary order. The largest and most popular such parks are:

  • Alupka park;
  • Gurzuf park;
  • Cypress Park (on the territory of the Artek camp, near the village);
  • Livadia park;
  • Massandra park;
  • Miskhorsky park;
  • Forossky park;
  • Kharaksky park (Gaspra village).

However, the list can be safely supplemented with Partenit parks (Ayvazovskoye and Krym sanatoriums), Primorsky Park of Alushta, the park of the Coastal boarding house in Yalta, Karasansky Park and many others.

Of course, all these parks are unique and beautiful, and it is better to see once than to read a hundred times, but still I will try to describe those Crimean parks that I love the most.

Alupka park

The famous Alupka Park is divided around another, no less famous Crimean tourist and historical object - the Vorontsov Palace, the summer residence of the Governor-General of the Novorossiysk Territory, Count M. Vorontsov. Actually, the palace and the park are a single ensemble, but the entrance to the palace for tourists is paid, and visiting the park is free. So people are always walking freely here, hurrying to the beach or to their sanatorium, just sitting on benches in the shade of spreading trees, or, in search of coolness and freshness, are drawn to the numerous artificial waterfalls scattered throughout the park. However, excursions are led here - of course, paid ones, starting in the palace and passing along the alleys, which are sometimes interesting and exciting to listen to, but an independent walk will bring many pleasant minutes.

The park was created at the beginning of the 19th century by the German gardener Karl Kebach. Maybe German laconicism and the desire for simplicity and perfection made it so intuitive - the park is vast, it occupies 40 hectares, but it is simply impossible to get lost in it.

In the park you can see:

  • three lakes with romantic names: Trout, Mirror and Swan;
  • fountains: "Trilby", "Fountain of Tears" (similar to Bakhchisaray) and the "Sink" fountain;
  • several hundred rare plants, including magnolias, plane trees, pines, palms and olives;
  • several sources - "Cat's Eye", "Tea House".

But for me, the main attraction of this place was and remains the Alupka lions - the so-called "Lion Terrace" of the Vorontsov Palace, which is adjacent to the park. Three pairs of marble lions - huge, beautiful, as if alive. The lower ones are sleeping, those above are waking up, and those at the very top are awake and guarding the palace with a menacing look.

Gurzuf park

The park of the Gurzuf military sanatorium was founded at the beginning of the 19th century and still attracts vacationers and tourists. Its main features are wonderfully trimmed trees and bushes: either in some intricate wave, or in the form of a ball, or in the form of an animal. As the guides say, this haircut style is called “topiary” and is now rarely practiced anywhere, as many people prefer to emphasize its natural component in the park, rather than create an artificial world by cutting bushes and trees intricately.

As for vegetation, local plants and acclimatized overseas plants cohabit in the Gurzuf park - pine, pistachio, cypress, magnolia, cedar. From all this, the air is saturated with the aromas of flowering and pine needles, very pleasant!

The park is relatively modest in size - only 12 hectares, but it has its own curiosities:

  • fountain "Night";
  • fountain "Rachel";
  • Museum of A.S. Pushkin;
  • Gurzuf Dolphinarium.

The park goes straight to the embankment, it is located quite conveniently, and if all of it is wild slopes, then there is a relatively flat area, you can relax while walking.

The park is very beautiful, but, alas, sometimes it is closed - there is a strict guard at the gate, who lets only those who rest in the Gurzufsky and Pushkino sanatoriums, which are adjacent to the territory, into the park. It remains to stare at the park from behind the fence ...

Partenita parks

In a small urban-type settlement, there are two amazing parks at once that should be visited by inquisitive tourists - this is the Aivazovskoye recreation center park and the Crimea sanatorium park.

Aivazovskoye Park is a small branch of heaven on earth. Outlandish plants, landscape gardening figures that make up an organic composition with elements of wildlife, the cleanest beach. The park is located near Mount Bear and seems to be sandwiched between two capes - Plaka and Tepeler, because this place has its own microclimate. The park occupies 25 hectares and all this is waterfalls, streams, fountains, flowers, palm trees. I want to photograph literally every step. There is a relic grove of olives, which is more than five centuries old, more than six thousand coniferous trees grow here - the air is clean, saturated with the aromas of the forest and the sea.

In all this splendor, you can find only one minus - the park lies on a rather steep slope, so the descent to the sea is easy, but climbing back to the exit from the park is quite difficult, especially in the heat. But here there is a special type of fixed-route taxis - electric cars, on which, for a moderate surcharge, you can get to the exit from the park.

In addition, unlike paradise, a person in this park is not a king and a god, so if you want to frolic on a green lawn or take a picture in flowers, get ready to be yelled at completely indelicately.

And the entrance to the park is an expensive pleasure. It will cost 150 rubles for an adult, there are discounts for children - about 100 rubles. With this ticket, you can stay in the park from 8 am to 9 pm, go out and come back again. Use a free beach or pay a separate fee for visiting a paid beach.

The park of the sanatorium "Krym" is also a partenite curiosity, another small paradise, among the sights of which are:

  • dolphinarium with an interesting show program of three dolphins Jesse, Judy and Caesar;
  • the exhibition "Wonders of Nature" - interesting, with humor;
  • the ruins of the monastery and the grave with the relics of John of Gotha;
  • an underground elevator passing between the buildings of the sanatorium in a tunnel with a length of 122 meters (available for those who do not want to climb to the top platform of the park on foot).

The seaside part of the park is an old park of the Raevsky estate, with rare exotic plants, picturesque alleys, quiet paths along flowering flower beds, various monuments, fountains, streams. The park goes directly to the promenade, the beach, which is open to everyone who has paid a visit to the park.

The entrance to the park of the sanatorium "Krym" is paid, it is about 100 rubles, in the high season this price can be even lower. A visit to the dolphinarium and the museum of curiosities is paid separately. If you have a ticket in the park, you can be present all day, from 8 am to 9 pm, leave the park and return again (but not more than once).

The Southern Coast of Crimea over the past couple of centuries has earned a reputation as a wonderful resort. Climate and landscape are the main healing factors used by doctors for a long time of its existence and development. Visiting aristocrats needed not only recovery, but also coziness and comfort, and they brought with them a retinue, including also the most fashionable gardeners and architects. After all, what kind of estate without a beautiful park? Thanks to this trend, the Southern Coast of Crimea boasts many beautiful corners of nature reserves. A significant role in this was played by the life physician Botkin, who taught his wards to use the health path for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. In Soviet times, all the estates were nationalized and turned into sanatoriums, whose workers also carefully monitored the plants and trees brought in the 19th century. However, after the restructuring, the parks received unequal care, so many of them, although they are monuments of landscape architecture, are somewhat neglected. Moreover, some resorts are closed to everyone except vacationers, so you will have to pay to visit other parks.

A park

Vorontsovsky, or, as it is also called, Alupkinsky, is one of the oldest parks in the Crimea. It was founded over 150 years ago. Built around the palace of the governor-general of the Novorossiysk Territory, Mikhail Sergeevich Vorontsov, the park occupies about 40 hectares. The park was laid out by a gardener brought from Europe, Karl Kebach, in a landscape landscape style. At that time in Europe it was fashionable to imitate naturalness, and not to build the geometric purity of the bushes. The park is so big that it is not surprising to get lost in it. It is most convenient to start exploring the park from the eastern entrance, where the tasting complex is located, entering it along a wide path, on both sides of which there are spacious green lawns with majestic cedars, beautiful views of Ai-Petri. We follow an exotic tree, fenced with a fence - Chilean araucaria, to ponds with swans, in which the Soviet movie fairy tale about Pinocchio was filmed. After resting in the shade on comfortable benches, you can make a detour to the north to another attraction of the upper park - stone chaos - a geological heap of gray-green diabase stones, skillfully used by man when zoning the park. From there we will go down past the ponds and waterfalls directly to the palace, after which it is worth slowly exploring the lower park, with clearer alleys, flower beds, marble fountains and the famous lions of the Southern terraces.

A park

Located not so far from Yalta, in the village of Miskhor, this park has long attracted visitors. Relatively small, only 6 hectares, it leaves a good impression. The paths are well-groomed, there are enough shade and benches, the plants are pleasing to the eye with variety. Here are decorative grapes, and fan palms, cypresses familiar to the eye, a pool with water lilies and red Chinese carps. The park also has a playground for families to enjoy. In summer, the entrance fee includes access to the beach. The water in Miskhor is clean and transparent. The main attraction of the park, of course, is the palace of the Grand Duke Romanov, Dulber, which in Arabic means "beautiful, captivating hearts." The history here is also felt in everything. If you go around the palace from the western side, you can see a stone niche left from the fountain with a half-erased medallion, which contains the following inscription: “1897, October. Grand Duke Pyotr Nikolaevich, Grand Duchess Milica Nikolaevna and their children - Princesses of the Imperial Blood Marina Petrovna, Nadezhda Petrovna, Prince of the Imperial Blood Roman Petrovich were present at the consecration of the Dyulber Palace.

A park

The park surrounding the summer residence of the last emperor of Russia has a completely different mood. There is more sun here, and, unfortunately, asphalt. You can even come here in high heels, walk slowly along the alley past the court, on the site of which once stood the small red Livadia Palace, which Alexander III visited. Pay attention to the variety of vegetation: a marble fountain with a tulip bowl is surrounded by mulberries, in June you can even taste their ripe berries. In the park there are many small-fruited strawberries, or shameless, a tree that throws off the bark, as if exposing its velvety amber skin. Livadia Park is as huge as Vorontsovsky, most of it is now occupied by the road to the beach, going down it you can see a Turkish-style gazebo with a beautiful view of the Yalta coast. The famous Sunny Path, formerly called horizontal, begins in Livadia Park - it is specially laid so that it has practically no slope.

This park is an organic continuation of the Embankment. Starting right behind the Oreanda hotel, it goes deep into almost two kilometers. Couples in love and families with children come here especially often. There are many fountains in this park, flowers behind the Opera Prima building, a round fountain in front of the Chekhov monument, a light and musical fountain near the Fabrikant restaurant, a fountain in the shape of the Black Sea. Also in the park are monuments to Chekhov and Gorky, a colonnade, a pump room with hydrogen sulfide water, restaurants: Colonnade, Verdi, Levant, Fabrikant, Comrade Sukhov, lounge café Park and tennis courts. Park, Landmark

The Botanical Garden has existed for more than 200 years; it is not only a scientific center, but also a great place for walking. The climate allows you to observe flowering from January to November. The garden includes several parks: Lower, Upper, Primorsky, as well as the Cape Martyan nature reserve. The real pride is the dendrological park, which contains more than 1500 varieties of trees and shrubs collected from all over the world. The lowest part of the park is considered to be the oldest; it was founded under the founder, Steven. When planting the park, they tried to group trees and plants to obtain a natural landscape effect. Therefore, the park has bamboo thickets, an olive grove, a stone wall and a grove of cork oaks. You can enter the park from the north and south, as it is more comfortable to explore it from top to bottom; the main administrative buildings, a tasting complex, a swimming pool and a summer theater are located at the northern entrance to the park. On the same side, annual tulip exhibitions (in April-May) and a chrysanthemum ball (October-November) are held. The park also has a cherry laurel maze, with an additional fee to enter.

A park

This is the most modern park, it is built around the Aivazovskoye sanatorium in the village of Partenit, not far from Alushta. The park is eclectic, combining classical style with English and even Japanese. There are many small sculptural forms scattered around the territory, combined with an abundance of carved benches, pergolas and cozy bridges, this place is a pilgrimage for wedding corteges. In summer, the entrance fee to the territory even includes the opportunity to swim in the sea on the beach of the resort, which offers a beautiful view. The park also has a well-equipped playground. It is better to allocate more time to visit this place, because in terms of the diversity of vegetation it is comparable to another botanical garden. Plants are also grouped according to a certain principle: an island of succulents, conifers, exotics.

But also picturesque parks. It is pleasant to walk in them both in winter and in summer. Most of them are located near Yalta. The climate on the south coast is subtropical, so the places are primarily interested in foreign plants that have taken root here and live happily ever after. Secondly, there are many interesting landscape decisions that were made in the 19th and even 18th century. Photos and videos do not convey all the charm of the Crimean parks, they must be enjoyed in real time.

Vorontsovsky (Alupkinsky)

Vorontsovsky or Alupka park - one of the most picturesque parks of Crimea - appeared in the first half of the 19th century. It was laid out during the construction of the Vorontsov Palace and occupies 40 hectares. The German gardener Karl Kebach worked on its creation, taking into account all the features of the local relief.

The park consists of two parts: Upper and Lower. In the Upper Park, the main attractions are the Small and Big Chaos, four meadows with a view of the mountains, as well as three lakes: Mirror, Swan and Trout. The famous Moonstone is also located in this part. It got its name from the mirror surface in which the moon is reflected.

The lower park descends to the sea. He is best known for the "Lion's Terrace". From the Vorontsov Palace there is a main staircase, which is guarded by six marble sculptures of lions. In this part, you can find plants not only from the Crimea, but also from the other side of the globe.

Price: for free.

Working mode: during the daytime.

How to get there: from Yalta by minibuses No. 102 (from the bus station) and No. 32 (from the center) to the Vorontsov Palace stop, then walk 10 minutes along the road to the northern front yard. Or by minibuses No. 107 and 115 from the Yalta bus station to the bus stop "Autostation" and walk 15 minutes to the western entrance.

Livadia

Livadia Park is another masterpiece of park art in Crimea. In size, it is slightly larger than Alupka, it began to be created under the first owner of these places - Prince Potocki, but acquired its final appearance at the end of the 19th century. Around the Livadia Palace, all the paths are straight, the plants are planted according to certain rules and neatly trimmed. But one has only to move away from the central part and the alleys become more and more curved, and the park becomes more natural.

During a walk through the Livadia Park, you can meet a variety of trees, including sequoias, Lebanese cedar, Pitsunda pine. If you want to relax, you can choose one of three pavilions: Royal, Pink or Turkish. A special place is a long gallery (as much as 8 meters!) of roses, grapes and wisteria. It leads to a beautiful fountain from where you can admire the mountains, the sea and Yalta. To the sea itself, you can go down the tunnel or by elevator.

By the way, not far from the palace begins the Tsarskaya or Sunny path, along which Nicholas II once walked.

Price: for free.

Working mode: during the daytime.

How to get there: from the Yalta bus station by minibuses No. 11, 100, 108 to the final stop "Livadia".

Kharaksky

Kharaksky park is not striking in scale, like the first two, but, in my opinion, it is very cozy. It is located on Cape Ai-Todor, where once there was an ancient Roman fortress and the first lighthouse. In the 19th century, this place was bought and built here by the grandson of Nicholas I, Grand Duke Georgy Mikhailovich. He named it Charax.

On the territory of the park there is a wonderful palace of Charax, all entwined with wisteria and beautiful at any time of the year. He has recently become especially fond of wedding photographers and bloggers. From the palace you can go down the stairs to the sea: take a walk in winter, swim in summer.

The park keeps signs of different times: from the ancient Romans to the 19th century. One part of it is well-groomed, signs with names are installed near the trees and plants. The other one, closer to the Ai-Todor lighthouse, looks a little abandoned, but this desolation has its own charm. Near the lighthouse you can find a beautiful viewing platform and a museum of anchors, which was collected by one of the caretakers.

Price: 100 rubles.

Working mode: daytime.

How to get there: from the bus station of Yalta by minibus number 102 to the stop "Sanatorium" Dnepr ".

Forossky

Foros Park is another jewel of the Southern Coast of Crimea. In terms of its picturesqueness, it can compete with Vorontsovsky, and in terms of the amount of foreign flora that has taken root in this area, even with the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Everyone who has ever walked along its shady alleys was captivated by its beauty and would definitely come back again.

This site was bought by Nikolai Raevsky, the hero of the Battle of Borodino, with whose family the poet Alexander Pushkin traveled around the Crimea. The park was founded in 1834, but it was not Raevsky who made it the pearl of the Crimean coast, but the Moscow merchant Alexander Kuznetsov. In 1887, the tea magnate and porcelain manufacturer bought 70 hectares from the Raevskys and created a "paradise" on this land. In this he was assisted by the famous landscape painter Clover, the gardener Albrecht and the candidate of agronomy Yanin. It took 6 years to create the most beautiful park, but it was worth it: during the walks you can meet plants from Europe, Asia and America. At the same time, the imagination of visitors was amazed not only by the flora, but also by the fauna. Now guests will have to be content with only trees and shrubs, outlandish animals are out of the question.

In Forossky Park, on the orders of Kuznetsov, a house was erected in the style of Italian classicism. Despite various transformations, wall panels, oak doors, and a marble staircase have survived since that time.

The park in Foros is heterogeneous: the upper part is a forest park, all the most beautiful and interesting is located in the center. Here you can admire firs, cedars, sequoias, palm trees, magnolias, breathe juniper, admire the cascade of artificial reservoirs, walk along an elegant bridge and look at blooming white lilies (but only in the warm season!). After that, you can go down to the sea and get acquainted with the sculpture, which all the locals call Alyosha. According to some reports, the composition appeared after Foros visited Yuri Gagarin, but this is not certain.

By the way, many famous writers, poets and musicians rested in Foros. For example, in 1916, Maxim Gorky and Fyodor Chaliapin met on the estate.

Price: for free

Working mode: around the clock.

How to get there: from Sevastopol from the bus station several times a day there is a direct bus to the Foros bus station. At other times, you can take a bus going to Yalta, get off at the turn to Foros and go down to the village. There are no direct buses from Yalta to Foros, so you will also have to get off at the turn and walk to the park on foot.

Mellas

The history of the Melas Park began in the same year as the Foros Park. In 1834, Lev Perovsky, a participant in the Patriotic War of 1812, became the owner of the land on the Black Sea coast. By his order, the architect Elson built the white palace "Mellas". It still delights visitors and reminds of Renaissance villas. The palace, as was customary at that time, was accompanied by a park. Along its alleys and paths you can go down to the sea, where there is a large well-groomed embankment.

After the death of Perovsky, the poet Alexei Tolstoy became the owner of Mellas. He visited the Crimea several times and was inspired by this place, which he inherited. Now "Mellas" is a sanatorium. But not only vacationers, but also visitors can enjoy a walk through the park and the embankment.

In the Melas Park there are many viewing platforms from where you can admire the sea and mountains, for example, at the stone Rotunda. There is even a spring with mineral water similar to Essentuki No. 20.

Price: from 60 to 300 rubles.

Working mode: from April-May to September-October during the daytime. Visits to the park must be booked in advance.

How to get there: from Yalta by bus number 28 to the village of Sanatornoe, then go down to the sanatorium "Mellas". You can also take any bus Yalta - Sevastopol, exit at the turn to Sanatornoye and go down on foot. The same applies if you are traveling from Sevastopol.

Paradise (Aivazovsky)

The park of the sanatorium Aivazovsky "Paradise" in Partenit is one of the youngest parks on the southern coast of Crimea. He has over 50 years behind him. But despite its youth, it is the most picturesque and popular park on the peninsula.

Aivazovsky Park was created in 1964. It is believed that Leonid Brezhnev ordered that a rest house for the top party leadership appear in the village. But it was only in the 2000s that this place was finally brought to mind.

The main attraction of "Paradise" is a bicentennial olive grove. But you need to come here not only for this. And then, to breathe in delicious air, sing in an acoustic gazebo, make a wish in the well of temptations, find all the sculptures of ancient Greek gods, read the magnificent poems of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, going down the main staircase.

Price: 600 rubles (entrance only with a guided tour, the schedule of excursions can be found on the official website). 500 rubles - Japanese garden.

Working mode: 8:00 – 19:00.

How to get there: from the Yalta bus station by minibus number 110 to Partenit (from the upper platform). Get off at the first stop after turning off the highway. It is called "Sanatorium. Aivazovsky.

Nikitsky Botanical Garden

The Nikitsky Botanical Garden appeared in the Crimea thanks to the Kherson military governor de Richelieu. The date of creation was 1812. The famous scientist and naturalist Christian Steven was appointed the first director. It was he who created this place as a nursery for exotic plants, which were then planted throughout the Crimea and southern Russia. Those 12 years that Steven led the botanical garden, he collected a collection of more than 450 species. His student, Nikolai Andreevich Gartvis, served as director for 33 years. The botanical garden collection doubled during his reign. Pines, firs, cypresses were planted, giant sequoias arrived from California, a large vineyard was laid out and the Magarach viticulture and winemaking establishment appeared.

At the end of the 19th century, funding was cut at the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. Therefore, I had to sacrifice part of the experimental work. But already at the beginning of the 20th century, the situation began to improve, botanical research resumed. In 1912, the centenary was solemnly celebrated. Then a colonnade was installed at the entrance to the Lower Park, and visitors still pass through it.

The Nikitsky Botanical Garden is beautiful at any time of the year, in the spring and autumn the Tulip Parade is held here and, at the beginning of spring, snowdrops bloom and envelop everything with their honey smell. Sometimes miracles happen. For example, snowdrops appear on New Year's Eve or a fluffy blanket of snow covers trees and shrubs. Filmed here: "Assu", "Mio, my Mio" and others.

Price: 300 rubles, for children from 7 to 14 years old - 150 rubles.

Working mode:

How to get there: from Yalta from the stop "Clothes Market" or "Bus Station" by minibus number 34 and trolleybus number 2. From the bus stop "Avtovokzal" you can also leave by minibus number 29. From Simferopol and Alushta, you can take a bus or trolley bus to the stop "Nikitsky Botanical Garden". And then go down on foot to the main entrance or get to it by minibuses No. 34 and 29.

Montedor

Montedor Park in Yalta is the youngest of all those listed. It opened in autumn 2017 and is part of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden. The first attempts to create a park on the site of Chertovaya Balka were in the middle of the 20th century. Work began, a palm alley was planted, an artificial reservoir was created. However, there was not enough funding and the project was frozen. For the next 25 years, the leadership of the botanical garden did not leave hope for a revival. Luck smiled only after the annexation of Crimea to Russia in 2014: money and opportunity appeared.

Although Montedor Park is the youngest, it makes you fall in love with it the first time, just like the oldest Crimean parks. Cozy alleys, tall trees, a beautiful artificial pond, a bamboo grove wonderfully rustling in the wind, a Mexican slide and many, many elegant bridges ... What else do you need for a good walk on a summer (autumn, winter, spring) day ?! And by the way, you can get into the cactus greenhouse for free! I was at the opening and described in detail my feelings from walking along Montedor in.

Price: 100 rubles, for pensioners and children under 14 - 50 rubles.

Working mode: from 8.00 to 18.00 in winter.

How to get there: Montedor Park can be reached from Yalta from the stops "Clothes Market" and "Bus Station" by minibuses No. 29 and 29A. Exit at the lower colonnade of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, the entrance will be opposite it.

Miskhorsky

Miskhor Park dates back to the end of the 18th century. It is known that the owner of these places was Count Potemkin. He also ordered to lay a park here, which has survived to our times. The most curious thing is that this territory was inhabited by the ancient Greeks. There is information that in ancient times there was a Greek settlement here. However, this has little to do with the park on the southern coast of Crimea. But Prince Naryshkin, who bought this land from Countess de Witt, the second mistress, did a lot to make walking along the alleys and paths bring joy and pleasure.

The palm alley has become the main attraction of the Miskhor Park. But not only she pleased the guests: there are observation platforms, a beautiful fountain, sculptures, cozy villas. Of course, not everything has survived from the 19th century. But the palm alley still beckons to take a walk, cozy villas adorn the park, and the fountain was restored and made musical. Fans of legends will definitely like the sculpture of the Miskhor mermaid and the fountain "Robber Ali Baba and Arza's Girl".

Price: for free.

Working mode: around the clock.

How to get there: from the bus station of Yalta by buses No. 102 and 115, from the stop "Clothes Market" by minibuses No. 122 and 132.

Yusupovsky

Another park worth visiting is Yusupovsky in Koreiz. He appeared along with the Yusupov Palace. The most famous gardener of the 19th century, Karl Kebach, worked on it, the one who created a miracle in Alupka near the Vorontsov Palace. By the way, Kebach consulted with the director of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden Gartvis, which of the plants would take root better in this area.

The territory of the park is not the largest. But it is decorated with numerous fountains, marble sculptures, terracotta lions stand out among them. Walking through the Yusupov Park in Crimea, you should think that the trees that surround you are from 100 to 500 years old. Interesting, isn't it?

Price: 400 rubles for adults and 200 rubles for a child (the price includes a visit to the Yusupov Palace).

Working mode: from 10.00 to 17.00.

How to get there: from the stop "Clothes market" in Yalta by bus 132 to the stop "Resort Miskhorskaya polyclinic". Then return along the road to the turn to the Yusupov Palace and the 1001 and One Nights hotel.

Gurzufsky

Gurzuf park is considered one of the oldest in the Crimea. It may surprise visitors with some curious historical facts. For example, the land in this place was bought by a descendant of the same Cardinal Richelieu from Dumas's novel about the musketeers. He fell in love with the place so much that he ordered the construction of a two-story house and a park. True, Richelieu had so much work that he rarely visited his estate, but rented it out. That is how Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin got here. The poet admitted at the end of his life that Gurzuf became "the cradle for Onegin." The poet lived in a town on the southern coast of Crimea for more than two weeks with the Raevsky family. Now in the olive grove, where he liked to walk, there is his monument.

Richelieu was the first to love these lands. But the Moscow industrialist Pyotr Gubonin, who bought the estate in 1881, breathed life into the small town. This was the heyday of Gurzuf as a resort. Gubonin built hotels, a post and telegraph station, a pharmacy, retail shops and an Orthodox church. The industrialist did not forget about the estate either, he loved it and called it his mistress. The famous fountains "Night" and "Rachel" were installed thanks to his efforts. They are still an ornament, a pearl of the Gurzuf park.

Now Gurzufsky Park is a favorite place for walking among locals and tourists, and it is also completely free.

Price: for free.

Working mode: during the daytime.

How to get there: from the Yalta bus station by bus number 106 (departs from the upper platform) to the Gurzuf bus station. Then go down to the embankment along Leningradskaya street.

Are you planning a vacation in the Crimea and do not know which sights are worth your attention and which are not? Order from me, then you will see only what you are really interested in.

The Vorontsov Palace Park is one of the largest south coast parks, its size can be roughly represented as follows: almost a kilometer from west to east, half a kilometer from south to north, the area is about 40 hectares.

According to the planning decisions, one can perhaps single out several park areas: the lower park, which is distinguished by a regular layout, descending in terraces to the sea, the central part, directly under the palace, the western seaside part and the so-called upper park with large, small chaos and a landscape part. The relief around the palace is quite complex. Different parts of the park are designed in different styles.

The park was founded even a little earlier than the Vorontsov Palace, in 1820. The author and creator of the park is gardener Karl Kebach.

The wonderful park is filled with cute small architectural forms and simply abounds with water, which is a pleasure to watch, especially on hot days.

Foros Park, covering an area of 70 hectares, is the main attraction of the resort town of Foros. It was marked on the maps as early as 1834, but the actual laying of the current park took place in 1887, when Kuznetsov, a merchant of the first guild, one of the largest tea merchants in Russia, acquired the local lands.

Kuznetsov completely replanned and remade the park. In just a few years, he managed to create here one of the best parks on the South Coast. In terms of the variety of outlandish plants, the park competed with the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, and in terms of the beauty of the landscape composition - with the park of the Alupka Palace.

The park is relatively young. It was created in 1964-1966 on the site of former vineyards. Alleys and groves of pines, cedars and cypresses were planted, a lot of engineering and reclamation work was done to strengthen the seashore, buildings were put on piles, etc. Over time, the trees grew and the park became an ordinary sanatorium forest park, large and shady, but devoid of the original park aesthetics.

A few years ago, the reconstruction of the old park began, and now it has unrecognizably changed. The new park is being created using modern landscape ideas and developments.
