Not a bad budget hotel.
Good afternoon. We rested in this hotel from 03/11/14 to 03/21/14. The tour was purchased through online tours, the tour operator "LABYRINTH".
The holiday was ruined by the incompetence of these companies. Let's start from the very beginning. There were four of us (3 adults and one child). The tour was paid for three months in a room in the main Superrior building. Always look at what is written in the contract and voucher. We paid for Superior (which is indicated in the contract), but the office sent documents two days before departure, which indicated accommodation DE LUXE (bungalow - with a maximum accommodation of three people). And they did not try to resolve the issue promptly about the correct placement, citing that they could there will be problems with plane tickets and the rest will be covered in general. There was nothing to do - we fly. We were greeted upon arrival and quickly taken to the hotel. DASHA met us at the hotel. We immediately settled in bungalow 412, where there was one double bed and immediately brought another bed (there is no extra space for the second one). As a result, the three of us on one large bed ("Thank you" to travel agencies). To pay tribute immediately brought an iron, hair dryer, ironing board and adapter (tea and coffee was already in the room) . On the very first day of rest, Dasha sailed in the evening and declares that our room will be renovated and asks us to move tomorrow to the neighboring 414 bungalow. Okay, repair is repair. The next day we left for Dubai on a free hotel transfer (they have a trip to Dubai on Wednesday and Friday, Friday is a day off in the Emirates by the way.) Arriving in the evening we were very surprised that our things were transferred to another bungalow, including the contents safe. The room was ready to receive new tourists, but not as if not for repair, while the keys remained with us. Approaching the reception, they gave us the contents of the safe (everything was sealed in an envelope with an inventory - money, passports). We were moved to the same room, nothing has changed from the living conditions. The next day, new tourists drove into our old room. And why it was necessary to lie and make these gestures to Dasha, we did not understand. (The next day she fled to Moscow, so they said at the hotel and we never saw her again). This is one of the points for which we put the hotel for accommodation - 1.
The hotel is located near the lagoon (not by the sea), it did not bother us. Ebb, tide, algae, you can go into the water. On the one hand, a shipyard, we didn’t smell anything from there, as some wrote and did not pay attention to it. On the other side there is a parking lot for boats, of which there are few. And on the same side there are fish and fruit markets. The hotel has two swimming pools, one of them heated (height 1.20 m) and the second unheated (1.80 m). There is an awning at the second pool - very convenient. Sun loungers, umbrellas, barbecue tables - everything is up to the mark. A good gym, two locker rooms and each has a sauna. Everything is very close to the rooms and the shore of the lagoon. Went out of the bungalow and into the pool. Bungalow rooms - TV, table, chair, two bedside tables, safe, wardrobe. Toilet combined with shower. The rooms were cleaned well and every day added tea, coffee, shampoo, soap, towel. It was like that for five days, then either they had another change of staff, or the sun began to bake into their heads - the brakes started - they would leave one or two sheets for everyone, there were always four towels. it became two or three, then shampoos and soap will be forgotten. And so I went to the end to add parosti, towels and other trifles. The staff is polite and tries to solve your problems as soon as possible (Indians, Filipinos - something like this). Russian and English are hardly spoken. The hotel rests mainly Russian speakers (CIS). What I noticed in ten days is that the staff is not particularly tense with their knowledge of languages, in ten days everything is also NOT BELMES. These are not only our problems with the language, I just saw how the Arabs tried to explain something to them and how it ended. So learn shortly in all languages and gestures. The food is good, everything is delicious, but monotonous, it suited us and in ten days we were not tired. We took breakfast and dinner, you can change it without problems. But we are all different. As for alcohol in this emirate, it’s easier - next to the hotel there is a wonderful store that specializes only in alcohol. The prices will surprise you, in a good way. What I liked about it: prices, assortment (beer, wine and stronger) and real promotions (I’ll explain - carefully look at the price tags and inscriptions: you take two - the third as a gift (my personal purchase), you pay for beer for five, and you take six bottles "Everyone drinks - Arabs, Indians, locals. Regardless of faith and religion. In the evening you go to the store, full of Hindus with full carts. Alcohol from Indian to European. How we took their alcohol home with us: I chose bottles that are sold in boxes , why is it so, all this is folded into luggage in a bag-suitcase, in a box there is less chance that you will break it, neatly overlaid it with things and check it in at the airport. Everything arrived safe and sound. If you want to take a chance in your hand luggage - with luck, they can let you carry it, or they can force you to pour it out. (Pour out more often). The hotel itself is clean and tidy, well-groomed territory, makes a good impression, two playgrounds, many vacationers with children, pool circles, two lifeguards who really work and watch you. The guards made a good impression, watched him - someone else's car drove in, immediately to the driver, why and to whom. Several times I saw how the guard went around the territory, there are cameras. Every day transfer to the beach from 10.00 to 13.00. Take towels and sunscreen with you. No amenities on the beach. But what sensations when big waves. Transfer to Dubai - Wednesday and Friday from 13.00 to 21.00. Three stops - 1) Deira city center (shopping center) 2 hours on it (remember the way back to the bus - maps inside the center are in Russian) 2) Gold land (gold market, do not confuse with Blu Suk, which is in Sharjah) 2 hours - there is nothing interesting in the store, you can walk along their streets, where there are many shops - to feel the multinational flavor of their life (my glamors didn’t like anything. It seemed to them that this area looks like a ghetto). In fact, this is their life (I will attach a photo), not the center of Dubai. Dubai is divided into old and new. What do you want to see??
3) Dubai Mall - 3 stop (3 hours) from 18.00 to 21.00. Excellent MALL. how it is decorated, the navigation inside is understandable - at the entrance the dinosaur skeleton is huge, here you have fountains, and here is a stunning aquarium (80 dirhams per person inside), parking, illuminated palm trees and next to the Burj Khalifa (did not climb). There was live music inside the center (a trio performed) - the impression is strong.
We went to Dubai MALL for certain equipment and found it, only more expensive than in Russia. I was looking for music discs in SACD and BLU-ray audio formats, gentlemen, they don't have it. BUT they shout in the EMIRATES THERE IS EVERYTHING. Yes, there are new items and the rest of the glamor, but not all.
We ourselves went to the Emirates mall, it’s very beautiful and seemed better to us than the Dubai moll, we got to an open Fashion show there, my wife was impressed (photo will be). Sky Dubai - winter behind glass, spectacular, unusual, well done Arabs . Of the hardware stores, I liked Virgin, beautifully decorated. The children wanted a PS4 game console, they found it in one of the centers for $530. But their school grades did not allow me to buy this miracle of gambling. In general, this generation of young people can be called gaj wai faev. We came to rest, and since Wi-Fi was only at the reception, the children hung out there - kicking into the pool, into the street, onto the sand. And many so, not only in the hotel - world practice. Taxi from Dubai Mall to Emirates Mall 50 dirhams. From the Emirates mall by taxi in Um Al Quwain to our hotel, we gave 179 dirhams. Take a municipal taxi - with a meter.
Ride on the subway - well, probably liked it. independently went to Dubai to Nasser Square (old name). The new name is Basiar.
You can get there by metro. We went from Nasser to the Creik Strait and rode their boats to the other side (1 dirham per person). On the other side we got to the old market, felt the flavor of the oriental bazaar, it is small - it makes a good impression. There are a lot of immigrants in this area.
We went from the hotel by taxi to Sharjah (60 dirhams). We looked at the square with a Ferris wheel, with shops and the AL kasba strait, (excuse me for my English and some incorrect spelling of the names of attractions) - it's better to go after 17.00. More beautiful and start working after the siesta. On foot for an hour we reached the "trains" - the gold market (BLU SUK). Go to the waterfront of the strait and walk to this market. See Sharjah. The gold market and the carpets on the second floor did not hook us and did not impress us.
We went by hotel transfer to Ajman (Thursday-Sunday from 16.00 to 21.00), not to the city itself, but to a small shopping center. You will pass it very quickly and start to wander around it. You can take a taxi to the city to see it or stay in a merchant's shop while waiting for the bus.
We got a good deal at Pier Karden, bought a coat and shirt for $250 and it was all over $1,000. Real discount -70%. For all the time, for the first time I saw a real discount in the emirates.
Sometimes we went to LuLu for groceries, very tasty juices.
We also visited the outdoor Dremland water park. Tickets were bought at the hotel - they were cheaper than there, according to the words, they did not check (80 dirhams), it seemed to me that they gave a coupon. We arrived by taxi - 30 dirhams. Take towels and water with you, otherwise you will buy there. There were few people in it, the water park itself is green, not all slides worked, but most worked. In general, my impression is that the water park is falling into decay, then there the bricks will move away on the path, then there is no paint, rust, it may not be noticeable, but I saw it all. When I was near a large pool where waves were made, a small snake was caught by the workers of the water park. There is food on the territory of the water park (fast food), lunch for three of us was about 100 dirhams. Alcohol is sold on site at the bar (a little expensive - a bottle of beer and ice cream the child wanted - 40 dirhams).
Plan ahead for the day. It is better for the main events after 15.00 when the heat begins to subside, but not all shops can work. They mostly work after 17.00 and until night (siesta). FRIDAY is a day off, why I celebrate it. On Nasser Square, most shops are closed until 15.00. I was there drinking beer honey, but this does not apply to all stores - they also want to earn money, before 15.00 we already bought something in Nasser Square. Get out of the hotel on Friday - why??? The local population has a day off and where do you think they arrange a holiday of life, of course, under your bungalow by the pool with a feast, it may or may not be quiet and swimming in the pool. Preparation begins in the afternoon or in the morning. In short, wait for Friday and it will come to you!!! Some people get in the way, and some people get bored. Everything depends on you. And for this, I also put the hotel for accommodation - 1. YOU DO NOT THINK ABOUT HOLIDAYS.
In general, the holiday was a success and the hotel for three stars is not bad.

The very next day, I understand that I probably didn’t describe everything and I’ll add a couple of lines to make it interesting and useful for you.
Taxi - from the hotel to Lulu and Manama supermarkets costs 5 dirhams. From Lulu it will be easier to go back. Lulu can be reached on foot for 40-45 minutes. Look at the shops on the first floors, where you can buy some souvenir items cheaper than in Dubai, Sharjah. If you catch a taxi on the road near the hotel, look at the taxi driver (if he inspires confidence in you and can somehow explain himself), ask for his phone number, you can agree with them to travel cheaper, for example, to Dubai on your own.
I was lucky with this, I thought I’d lay out the phone number for you, but I hid everything somewhere. They can take you and wait, and everything will be cheaper. Come to the reception and ask to dial his number and they will connect you, all this is free. Somehow they approached the reception, we had a taxi to Dubai - they immediately charge 200 dirhams, we say "goodbye" and agree on the road with a taxi driver for 100. Always bargain. The roads are excellent - they fly low and fast. I think you understand me.
Exchange - somehow there was no local currency (1 dollar - 3.66 dirhams). At the reception they wanted to change us 1 dollar - 3.50 dirhams. We went to the liquor store and they changed us at 3.60. - everyone is more cheerful, and the exchange rate is 3.66 dirhams per dollar.
Tea-coffee - we thought we'd bring that exotic original. You are wrong. They have less teas than ours, and then everything is standard. Coffee - look how much ground coffee costs in a package, at first we bought one pack for 18 dirhams 250 gr. (Lulu). And right there where they sell nuts, they have grain, and the prices are 200 gr. it will cost you 6 dirhams. We scored different grains: black (strong), green (Arabic), and medium roast.
BANK CARDS - I come home and understand that the bank took a lot of money from me. (I followed the account through the Internet bank). There is such a thing as conversion, and when you pay for purchases through a card, you are asked for dirhams or dollars. If the dollar is one conversion, and if you say dirham, as they said in the RUSS.ST-T bank, this is already a double conversion (at the beginning they transfer to the dollar, and then to rubles). Here's a (removed by the moderator) Calculated, it was necessary to buy bucks with this money and not bathe. The card is debit, so we can say that purchases have become more expensive. With cards, sooner or later, some kind of splinter comes out - that's on you.
Nasser Square - why I decided to stop, suddenly it will help someone, I’ll tell an episode, we just arrived - we get out of the car, (damn you still have a siesta), three or four people fly up and start to put their photo with goods: madam want fur coats, bags. watch. And they don't offer me anything. We brushed them aside. So called
"barkers". go with him, add 20-30 percent to the purchase. We start walking, someone does not work until three on Friday, but there is someone who works (I wrote already). You go to their shops and start to choose and bargain. Ask a question immediately ORIGINAL ?? For example, they told us right away that these are very good fakes, and this is the original already. One "barker" stuck on the road - well, I say show it, brag about your goodness (bags - watches). He led us through gullies and streets. We went into some kind of entrance and went upstairs in a shabby elevator. We leave on the 3rd floor - when we are on the floor, an African one is sorting out a checkered bag. A characteristic smell. The wife and the eldest child are in a slight shock, the little one is interested, but I find it funny from this situation, I expected about all this. And the Hindu is kidding "MADAM WORRY". Calling calls at the door "Sim-Sim open" - we went into the room, several rooms and everything is hanging neatly as in a window: clothes, bags. didn’t like anything, there is a monitor and four cameras in the room that show who came to them on the floor, safety is first of all. Haha. Let's go one floor above. Everything is the same, only the goods are different. This is their trading life, I understand this very well, but my impressions are just super from what I saw. The rest of my twenty minutes I pumped out of what I saw.
My glamours expected brilliance and chic only from the emirates.

I read a lot of reviews about the hotel, very ambiguous .... but they arrived and realized that people are all different and the opinions are the same. Believe me, the food is like at home and even tastier! The rooms are cleaned constantly and with high quality. Any requests at the reception are immediately fulfilled. The pool is one specially cold, and the second is at the level of 28-32 degrees, both with fresh water without bleach! To this huge well-kept free beach by taxi 5 minutes for 5 dirhams, i.e. 100 rubles or 15 minutes of the usual step. In general, the rest was a success !!! And we wish you the same.

We rested with a young man from 02/11/18 to 02/17/18. Arrival: drive from Dubai airport for more than an hour, despite the fact that there were no traffic jams and traffic lights on the way. Weather: excellent, it was moderately hot, +30. Hotel: not bad in general, quiet (with the exception of Friday and Saturday, when the Indians came and arranged their Valentine's Day from some kind of fright in our hotel! Because of this, it seemed that the hotel was a passage courtyard, but by the evening everything was quiet and it got much better). Beautiful grounds, two swimming pools, heated and not, the rooms are clean, not shabby. Every day they cleaned, brought 2 bottles of water, coffee, tea, cream. Towels were also changed every day, 2 regular and one for feet. Sea: This is a bay, so don't expect blue shores and big waves, for example. Of course, one thing can be said: in the morning and in the afternoon, approximately until 15.00, when the tide is high, it is quite possible to swim. With us on one day it was very good, the water is not dirty, and in principle warm, you can quickly get used to it. When the tide is out, that is, in the evening, the situation is reversed: the sea and the beach itself seem rather dirty. But then again, this is the bay, it will be so here. There is little sand, and this gives the impression of a bad coast. Food: OK, could have been worse, but the problem was that sometimes they brought a menu and sometimes there was a buffet; considered such changes due to the fact that there were very few tourists. So the food from the menu was so-so, the buffet is better. As for food, we ate in the canteen, so to speak, which was a restaurant, which meant that there were a lot of incomprehensible people who not only came to eat, but also to drink and smoke, which also left the impression of a passage courtyard. Noisy and smoky, how to relax and eat here. Excursions: taken from the guide Ferhat, speaks Russian, a good guide. We took an excursion to Dubai, there was a choice with an ascent to the Burj Khalifa ($ 115) or with dinner on a boat in Dubai Marina ($ 100). We took the second option, but we didn’t really like it, there were a lot of people and therefore the buffet turned into “hungry and angry tourists”. But the view is beautiful. True, such a walk will not take much time: you will ride along Dubai Marina itself for about 30 minutes, as it seemed to us, and you will not be taken far. We liked everything else: the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall, the Sail Hotel, the Jumeirah Palm, all of which impressed us. It’s better not to drive from Umm Al Quwain on your own, taxi drivers take very expensive to take you to Dubai (approximately $ 100, we spent so much on the entire excursion). There is also no public transport. We also took a free tour of the Dubai market: as it turned out, it was jewelry and leather and furs. Expensive, but you can bargain well if you really need something from this. In the store where leather and furs, on the ground floor, you will be taken out to buy souvenirs, where you can buy everything: magnets, figurines, oils and ... Amazingly delicious dates. Ordinary, with nuts, in the form of sweets. Be sure to take dates in the form of sweets, they are really tasty. As for nearby places from the hotel: there is nothing but a gas station with a burger king and a small supermarket, and a fish market. There is a promenade next to the market, but it looks more like a fishing pier (although it is). There is a shopping center Lulu, it takes about 25 minutes to walk to it. There are ATMs and shops there, but we did not go there, we were told by tourists from our hotel. In general, I liked everything. But it would be better if the hotel becomes closed from strangers who do not rest in this hotel, and the beach, which needs to be put in order if it gets better - only after that I would recommend this hotel. And so, decide for yourself. Have a good rest and great impressions!
