I completely agree with the previous review, a good hotel for families. The main contingent of tourists - couples from Germany and Scandinavia. The hotel has a children's pool, a children's park with swings and slides. There are a lot of playgrounds and attractions on the Albena embankment.

I did not like the resort of Albena at all. In Albena there are only hotels, entry and exit to the resort with passes. There are no good cafes, restaurants, there is no beautiful promenade, in the evening you can walk along the street with souvenir shops. nowhere to go. I'll start with the fact that we wanted to book the Kaliakra 4 * hotel, which is located nearby. According to the tophotels rating and reviews, it was very suitable. However, at the time of the purchase of the tour, it was already the end of June, the hotel was under request and, as expected, everything had been booked since May. Therefore, the second option went Flamingo Grand 5 *. And we didn't regret it.

Although Kaliakra 4 * is located next to the beach, you can even say on the beach itself, but after walking from Flamingo Grand 5 *, I was convinced that Flamingo Grand 5 * is the best hotel in Albena! (In my opinion). Located in the so-called center of Albena, next to the walking street with numerous eateries and shops. Hotels stand one after another near the beach, alternating with pools and slides, and at first glance it’s hard to understand where whose pool is. I went to neighboring hotels calmly and no one says anything (they don’t know that I’m a “stranger”)) I went to Kaliakra 4 *. Hmm, the reception is small there, you can even say there is no place where guests can sit, unlike the reception of Flamingo Grand 5. Although in Kaliakra 4 this is a specially designated place with a counter, but in Flamingo it’s just a table!))) and that’s all.

We went on the recommendation of my sister, because she rests in Bulgaria every year, and having heard and convinced herself, she recommended Flamingo Grand 5 to us. What does it turn out (I didn’t know) that Flamingo and Flamingo Grand 5 * are different hotels nearby.

I want to say that I absolutely do not like flights departing from Moscow, they are somehow inconvenient for a trip with a child. We took off from Moscow-Sheremetyevo at 17.30 (delayed for half an hour for some reason). We arrived at 18:35 local time. Varna Airport did not impress me, but I expected this after reading the reviews. The Germans came with us at the same time. So we stood and waited until they get their luggage and then we. Having received the luggage, I had to run around in confusion where to go, because it was not clear who to contact, and not only we were so lost. Well, it was necessary to look into the documents and see that the host party was "Good afternoon" and we were looking for Intourist)) well, I must say that those who sold us vouchers could explain.

We drove from Varna airport to the hotel for an hour and a half!! They said 40 minutes as a result ofigeli go, the child did not wait for the sea and fell asleep. There was a traffic jam from the airport (it was lucky because the airport is small and we got a lot of arrivals) then while we drove through the narrow streets to the hotels, bringing people in ... It should have been seen how the bus back and forth (backward!!) drove along a narrow road. As a result, at some hotel, we and other people from another hotel were transferred to a car and after 5 minutes we were at the hotel.

No one escorted us to the reception and we ourselves had to navigate where to go with a sleeping child and suitcases and a stroller.

The main point we did not have time for dinner and that, as promised by the host, they did not provide us with dry rations, saying that they had no information. Although then the representative of Good afternoon was surprised to say that she left all the info.

It is important that drinks are paid. So we arrived without thinking, but we had to buy a drink at the bar. As a result, then they got used to it and, like many others, they bought water in the Aldo supermarket (10 minutes from the hotel, at least) 3 liters for 3 Levs (1 euro = 1.86 lev).

The bodyguard brought us things, or I don’t remember what it’s called) having received 100 rubles for tea .. it’s not sickly so) and he himself said when he saw that we were confused about what to give for tea, maybe we haven’t changed the euro yet, which can be in rubles))

The room turned out to be without carpet, they wanted to change it, but did not. There are pros and cons to this. Plus carpeting is that it is not a traumatic floor. The downside is that there may be smells from it, because it is not known what they did on it before us and how they washed it. As a result, we dance on a slippery floor, as when leaving the bath, it is even very wet for any reason. puddles in the bathroom)

I liked that the room is big! There is a stove in the room! Yes yes there is. For some reason, we thought not seeing anywhere in the picture that there was only a sink and tea accessories.

In addition, in the mini kitchen there are: mugs with saucers, one cut knife, cutlery, spoons, forks, butter knives, a kettle, tea bags, sugar, a sweetener, an extractor hood, two burners, a sponge for washing dishes, washing liquid, a saucepan, glasses.

There are 2 toilets in the room! There is a separate toilet and toilet in the bathroom where, in addition to the bathtub, there is also a shower cabin.

We went without travel agencies - on our own, check-in went pretty quickly, we got a room on the 8th floor (studio) (double bed, folding sofa (also double) and an extra bed for a baby (as always in hotels - a playpen bed). The room is very spacious, convenient that the room had a small kitchenette (microwave, kettle, stove, set of dishes, mini-fridge).With small children it is very convenient!! bathroom with shower, bathtub, toilet, sink and there was also a separate toilet (also Convenient when 3 adults)). In general, the number was extremely satisfied. The water was both hot and cold - the children poured a bath almost daily, they themselves mostly used the shower, everything worked.

Cleaning - cleaned every day, we had a change of linen on demand - just took off the linen and left it on the floor, as well as towels, then they went for a walk and hung a sign asking them to clean up - upon arrival everything was cleaned and covered. Unpretentious.

The food is quite tasty, everyone ate, they are healthy)) the little son was on his own diet)) We had breakfasts and dinners - we dined in numerous cafes (by the end of the vacation we already loved them).

The only negative for our company is the evening animation. Since we had a small child with us, he had to fall asleep to a rather noisy animation (unfortunately, our beautiful room overlooks the stage), and even the tightly closed windows could not drown out the funny sounds)) But, nothing, fell asleep ...

The beach is good)) And a small promenade to the sea did not bother at all. Of course, there were cigarette butts on the beach (but this is more a claim for vacationers), in the evening the beach is cleaned by cars (but not between the sunbeds, but only around ...)

Good afternoon! We rested in Flamingo 4 for the first 10 days of August. The sea is warm, very shallow. In order for the water level to be above the shoulders, one must go very far. By the way, as such, there are no buoys on the beach. Sun beds and umbrellas are free, BUT this beach is not only the Flamingo 4 hotel (Grand Flamingo 5 has a separate beach), but also the Kaliope hotel and one more. (I don't remember the name). Judge for yourself, the beach for three hotels and places in the peak season is not enough. Book sunbeds with towels, etc. items DO NOT. The beach administrator is looking after this. Our compatriots like to occupy and leave at 6-7 in the morning .... then at 8.30 the administrator comes and takes all the things to his tent .. like this. Of course, this awkward moment was the subject of controversy for many tourists. Many people bought umbrellas for themselves.

The beach is sandy, very wide, it is cleaned. Pretty clean.

The sea bloomed. All seaweed washed ashore. It was inconvenient for the kids and their parents. And so move away and the water is clean. Algae "gone" on the eve of our departure. It's Aug 10 somewhere. The weather is changeable: quiet, calm, and bang the wind. Rescuers put up a yellow flag, and then a red one. What does it mean: "Swimming is prohibited." But, lifeguards work until 18.00. Then do what you want, swim!!!

The resort is surrounded by pines and deciduous trees. You feel very comfortable, there is no heat. There is a lot of oxygen. There is a natural forest in Albena - a lean forest! Indeed, nature is very similar to ours.

Nutrition. Breakfast is very tasty. A set of dishes like everywhere else: oatmeal porridge, eggs in various forms, rolls, jams, fruits, etc. For dinner they gave: salmon, lamb, pork, rabbit, lulakebab and of course chicken. Side dishes are the same as everywhere else: french fries, rice, broccoli, etc. You won’t be hungry, but in general it didn’t seem very tasty to me .. In Greece, the food is tastier !! Although in the previous review the chefs were given a higher rating .. a matter of taste ..

Our room was SMOLL ROOM. the tour operator said that this is like a standard, only a smaller area. 13 sq.m in my opinion. EVERYTHING was right, and everything was air-conditioned and TV set. Only the refrigerator is paid (we did not pay for it). But be prepared that there is no view from the room!!! The building looks like the letter "G". these small ones are located in the corner of this letter.... It didn't bother us very much.

For lunch we went to Grand Flamingo 5. It costs 18 lev for 1 person. (2 leva approximately 1 euro). In general, there is a problem with the course in Albena. They change the euro at 1.86!!! And it is woven in ALL Alobene. In Golden Sands (we were there) 1.92. the hotel is worth it.It looks like it's at the official rate.

This hotel is generally Scandinavian6, Finns, Swedes, Norwegians and Germans naturally. Animation in German for reference. In general, our language is from Bulgarians. very similar, but for some reason the staff prefers to communicate in English!!

Also a buffet, everything is fine, there is a lot of food. Both at lunch and at dinner, very tasty confectionery products: mousses, cakes. etc.

The overall impression of the hotel and the resort is good. if you do not pay attention to the Soviet appearance of the resort. (Many hotels, bars from my childhood) is generally cool. Albena is a family vacation. There are no cool discos. Everything is aimed at children.

We rested in Flamingo at the end of July for 2 weeks. The hotel is very good. The room is just huge, there is a microwave, which is very convenient with small children, carpet on the floor, bathrobes, slippers, all shower accessories, everything is as it should be. And we had lunch in a cafe next to the hotel. There are a lot of food outlets, everything is very tasty and home-style. Our children ate chicken soup, they really liked it, and I was delighted with cabbage rolls. The only negative (again, , my subjective opinion) the hotel area is small, but, on the other hand, next to the main shopping street of the masters, you can take a walk in the evening. But as for the sea .... The beach is gorgeous, sun loungers, umbrellas everything is fine, but we were not lucky during our visit , algae washed ashore and all 2 weeks we had to observe give an unpleasant picture, and smell too. This spoiled the impression of the Black Sea coast. But we did not lose heart, there are a lot of entertainments for kids in Albena, and we also went to the water park, the botanical garden, Cape Kaliakra and Sozopol. The hotels have a wonderful SPA complex. Highly recommend! And I also really liked the climate, it is very similar to ours and with small children it is very important for those who are afraid to go to hot countries. But the vegetation .... For example, I like the Mediterranean more. In Bulgaria, plants and trees on our they are similar, but the roses are awesome there.

This is a closed-type resort - as a separate city, on its territory there are about 25 hotels, all of them have 1 owner - Albena joint-stock company. They practice the interchange of hotels (but only equivalent ones - for example, Boryana - Nona - Elitsa). The resort is guarded and safe. The entire resort as a whole is Soviet-built, but the hotels are constantly being renovated and renovated. The Flamingo Grand and Kaliakra hotels are the newest (they have been completely refurbished, including the facades).

1. furniture! - on the pictures - it's really cool - and in reality - from the same distance - from 4-5 meters it looks the same, when approaching - a cheap, cheap laminate! From the series - kitchen 3 meters for 15 tr. in the supermarket :)

2. Doors - almost everywhere "paper" - frame, with cardboard filler - light and swollen - hard to close;)

3. any melos - like the one in the pictures - the holder for the paper - fell off on the first day - and everyone FSUs! In the toilet, he has not yet fallen off, but hangs crookedly. Shelf for shampoo in the bathroom - at an angle. The panel on the bath itself rests on one corner of the bath, the second on the floor. The platbands on the doors - all disperse. In the kitchenette, the doors hang crooked.

4. and now the most chic - I would not even write about these, in fact, little things that distinguish 5 * from, say, 3 *;) if not for THIS! Hot water! Here they are clearly trying for the Russians, for whom warm weather should be directly associated with the lack of hot water from the tap :) - everything is fine here! 10 times a day there is simply no hot water :) I even filmed it on video - after talking with the staff (very, insanely polite and good-natured, but absolutely, in Russian poh%estic;)) - I decided to shoot everything.

5. - a day after arrival - the light in the toilet went out - it caught fire the next time after 3 days - during this time the maid came 3 times and the technician 2 times - who quietly disappeared 2 times as soon as I turned away :) I had to call again reception desk, and for the third time he changed the light bulb like that! Half of the lamps in the room are not lit. there are enough burning ones - we don’t disturb the technician - otherwise he will still go crazy - he changed one light bulb for 2 days, and then ...

6. - about the Internet. It is - there are sockets in every room - we have 2 rooms = 2 sockets :) The cable is given at the reception for free! BUT! it is short - it's really better to bring it with you - buy a longer one in a computer store - and then use it. They wrote here that there is Wi-Fi - it's true - 3 types - at the reception - just open, free. In all public places - open, but you need a login-password (login - reservation number, password - last name) - it's easier to go to the reception - and they will write all the data on a piece of paper. The third type is the general Albena wi-fi - the whole city is covered by it - right up to the beach. It is necessary to buy access cards - but where and how much - I did not understand. On the Internet (when you connect, their page opens) - they write - at the reception of YOUR hotel - the flamingos don't know anything about it :) I scored. Up to the room (9th floor) flaming fi-fi reaches, but the quality is below the baseboard - it breaks constantly, so - the wire! :)

In general - a really wonderful hotel - very good rooms - in terms of layout, good territory, pools, restaurant, SPA - everything is wonderful, everything spoils the little things. They just mess up badly. For both in design and in appearance - real 5 * - but looking closely - it's like a Chinese fake !!!

By the way, in the SPA - 2 showers in the common area - all the markings are knocked down - and you don’t understand how they turn on, in the end - we figured it out, but the hot water never went :) - only cold.

The first thought - while going to the room - this is how to mock the hotel, so that in 3 years (it, after all, opened in 2008) - so disfigure it - shabby - finally everything :) even the doors !!! Then I realized - the materials were used - which cannot be used in hotels. Absolutely not wear resistant. The laminate on the ends is already peeling off in many places - it looks like all 2 * :)) tiles in the rooms - in each room there is consistently one tile that has already "bounced off" :))

We rested at the Flamingo Grand 5 * hotel from June 13 to June 27, 2011. Tour operator Transaero tour. I really liked the hotel, justifies its 5 *, in the Albena resort there are mainly 3 * and 4 * hotels. Studio room (the presence of a kitchenette) is large, bright, overlooking the sea. Bathrobes, slippers available, shampoo, shower gel, Yves Rocher body milk. WI-FI in the room. The food (HB) is very good and of high quality (for breakfast - delicious pancakes, croissants, honey, sausages, for dinner - 2 types of soups, meat, chicken, salads, vegetables, fruits - cherries, peaches, watermelon, melon). The bar on the 1st floor has delicious brewed tea and cakes. The hotel is very clean, they clean, rub and wash until the night. Walk 150 meters to the sea past the Laguna Beach and Laguna Mare hotels, near which there is a meadow of beautiful roses. The description of the hotel indicates the first coastline, in fact the second. I really liked the wide sandy beach with golden sand and the clear sea (shallow, up to a depth of 100 meters). For 1 room, 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for free, mattresses for a fee, beach towels are issued at the reception for a deposit. Money (euro) was changed at the reception. The hotel has a good SPA - salon (cheap facials). and now about the most important thing.

In this regard, we got to Bulgaria at 9 pm and sawed on a minibus for 2-2.5 hours, at 12 at night we were in the room.

The hotel is good, they clean well, the rooms, as in the photo of the hotel, are spacious, with a kitchen. Very friendly maids and clean well, they try to speak Russian. But the girls at the reception, arrogance and lack of goodwill in the eyes ... The minus of the hotel is that it is very cold in the lobby, you come in after the heat and here you are hypothermia, nothing for adults, but our daughter got sick as a result, and many others the kids were walking around with such a wonderful cough.

The food is good, the chicken is cooked wonderfully, Shopska Salad, I even became a fan of Bulgarian cuisine, but, nevertheless, it was all overshadowed by our poisoning, first my husband, and then me, and at the end of the holiday, already a daughter. There was practically nothing to feed small children in the hotel restaurant, there was only semolina porridge and oatmeal on the water every day, there was also a problem with a light soup, there were mostly fatty and spicy cutlets with peppers, boiled carrots and chicken, twice a good boiled fish.

We didn’t like the sea, it was completely dirty at times, algae, floating disposable dishes, hygiene and protection products ... You won’t go into such a sea with a child. But there were days with wonderful warm clear water, there were no wire cutters.

We rented a car, drove around the surroundings, saw Varna, “Stones driven in”, the Aladzha monastery, Cape Kaliakra, Dobrich.

But we will not go to Bulgaria again, once was enough for us. There were a lot of sick children with high temperature, cough and diarrhea.

The location of the hotel is good, 7 minutes walk to the sea. We rested at the end of June, the sea was + 21C, the air was + 25C, it rained for 14 days for 5 days. People occupy places on the beach from early morning, so the first line is always busy, especially the Romanians, who come and take sunbeds for everything family, and there are 20 such people, no less, also according to rumors, beach workers are selling the 1st line. The rooms are large, all with sea views. the food is very tasty and of high quality, although brewed tea is in short supply, the service is at the level. The territory of the hotel is small, unfenced, but green. There is wi-fi at the reception. The maids clean the rooms badly, bathrobes and slippers were brought on the third day after being reminded. Prices in the cafe are affordable, beer "Zagorka" is not bad, plum "Rakia" is also nothing. The people are very friendly and always ready to give advice and help. The arrival to Varna spoils the rest a little, the airport is very small and cannot cope with the flow of passengers thrown out of the Boeing, and in the heat the picture is completely depressing. On departure, the situation is slightly better. In general, I liked the rest, but in terms of service with Turkey, it can hardly be compared in the next few years.

The hotel is located on the most central street, 3 minutes from the chic sandy beach. All rooms are excellent. Russian-speaking staff at the reception, the territory is small (pool and playground), however, like many hotels in Bulgaria. Food is excellent. The hotel is great for those who interesting nightlife (next to a huge number of cafes, restaurants with live music, not far from a disco) and a high level of service.

This is not a 5 star hotel for sure. Reaches up to 3 ((. Room cleaning always began around 14-15.00 when the children returned from the beach. The mini-bar attendant came into the room when we walked in a negligee or were in the bathroom - with the words of apology, she still went to her goal - check the refrigerator, when we refused. Terrible! There weren’t enough staff in the restaurant. Sometimes they sat down at uncleaned tables, sometimes they didn’t bring coffee to us (they didn’t have time to track who had what. Cleaning is disgusting! For 2 weeks we have never been cleaned balconies above us, so our balcony served as a toilet for them.) Shampoos, gels and other little things were provided only on the first day of arrival - 2 tubes (30 ml) for a family of 4. I asked for toilet paper in two bathrooms - they gave out one roll😱catastrophe We won't come here again for sure.

The hotel is quite old, shabby furniture, carpets, reception. The pools are dirty with leaves inside. The water in the pools is ice cold, even in the children's. Swimming is impossible. The food is mediocre, not 5k, more like 4k. The staff is not friendly. We arrived with a sleeping child, 1.5 g, in our arms, asked to quickly settle in, and in response: “are you in a hurry?” ended up taking 20 minutes. Paid drinks for lunch and dinner - unpleasantly surprised. The work of the maids leaves much to be desired. For example, the toilet was not washed even once in a week. In the shelf we found a glasses case left over from the previous tenants. The frying pan in our room 460 was absolutely unsuitable for frying on it. It should have been thrown away a long time ago! Since we didn't have lunches, I planned to cook something for lunch myself. But when I saw this pan, I realized that cooking on it is unrealistic and just disgusting! After staying 7 nights, for some reason the machine for parking payment counted 8, I had to pay for parking for 8 days.

The most important advantages of this hotel - breakfasts and dinners are beyond praise, as well as a very spacious comfortable deluxe studio room! We traveled with children, two children and two adults. The room was very comfortable and convenient for us, this is a big plus of the hotel. There are no such rooms in neighboring hotels. Breakfasts and dinners were also very surprising with their variety, tasty, healthy, beautiful, worthy! Thanks chefs! You need to walk a little to the beach through a nearby hotel with gorgeous roses. The walk to the sea did not tire at all, only 7 minutes. The hotel staff is friendly, speaks all the necessary languages. Children's animation is weak, the children were bored, my 10-year-old son had nothing to do with himself, except for the pool. The animation still needs work. It is better to request a room above the 5th floor, where the view is better and probably the noise from the pool is not so audible. In general, we are satisfied with the rest in this hotel, but we expected more, to be honest. The room has a kitchen and a full-fledged small refrigerator, in addition to the minibar.

Do not steal things from the rooms. And the rest of the hotel is normal, although the renovation is fresh, but something has not been completed (the light does not work in some places, there was no 1 bathrobe, the sockets fall out).

However, upon arriving at the hotel, I was informed that there were no rooms available, since I had not paid, but only booked. (Why then such a booking, if it does not book anything?). We were offered to stay at the nearby Paradise Blue Hotel. The hotel is new and modern, there were no complaints about food, beach and entertainment. But on the day of departure, 2 T-shirts and a bag of food were stolen from our room. Food that we bought in the supermarket for further travel. In the morning we took the main part of the things into the car and went to the beach, when we returned by 11.30, the bag and T-shirts were gone. It would seem - a trifle. But how can you be calm about your things if they disappear right from the room. And we also had a camera, a laptop and a bunch of valuable things. When asked by the cleaning lady, she replied that she did not come into our room. When contacting the reception, they received the answer: “Well, you won’t go to the police because of 2 T-shirts?”. Not "Sorry", not "We'll look and let you know", just "Goodbye, there's nothing we can do". After this, my path to this hotel is closed, it turned out that not "the client is always right", but "the staff is always right." By the way, we asked for a recording from CCTV cameras, but there were simply no (cameras). I think that hoteliers first of all need to increase the trust of customers, and not scare them away, which happened in this case.
