The urban-type settlement of Lenino is located in the west of the Kerch Peninsula, on a plain, on both sides of the Dzhankoy - Kerch railway. It is only 5 km from the Sea of Azov.

In the Leninsky district there is the Chokrakskoe lake with healing mud. Also in the vicinity of the village there are a large number of archaeological sites.

At the dawn of its existence (beginning of the 20th century), the village, alas, could not boast of the number of its population, but thanks to the construction of the North Crimean Canal, the settlement gained new life. In the post-war years, the construction of the Yuzmatsky reservoir began here, and after the village was renamed Lenino, the construction of the Crimean Nuclear Power Plant began, which led to a significant increase in the number of local residents.

The urban-type settlement of Lenino belongs to the center of the largest of the 14 Crimean districts - the Leninsky district of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The area of the settlement is 772 hectares.

Village infrastructure and local residents

Lenino takes its history from the time of the construction of the railway. In 1921, on the site where the village was formed, there was only a small station “Seven Wells”, where 34 people lived. 18 years later, after the construction of a school, a food processing plant, a grain collection point and a cotton mill, the population grew to almost 1,700 people.

Since the use of this railway line was rapidly developing, already in the 70s the first large-panel house building appeared in the town of Lenino. And the village itself quickly expanded and new microdistricts appeared (on Shosseynaya and Kurchatova streets).

The entire infrastructure of the rapidly growing village also did not stand still. Some enterprises that began their work back in the 50-60s. last century, they still work today. The exception is the winery - it was closed a long time ago.

In the town of Lenino, everything has been created for the development of modern youth: 2 schools, a lyceum and a very recently built gymnasium have been opened here, there is a library and a music school, and there is a vocational school to continue their studies. For those who are interested in sports, the OSOU sports club is open. But despite this, schoolchildren, having received their graduation certificate, strive to leave the village for big cities.

Climatic features

As on the entire coast of the Azov Sea, the climate of this area is also dry, although thanks to the sea wind the arid air is slightly softened. Precisely because the Azov Sea is one and a half times less salty than the Black Sea and almost three times fresher than the Mediterranean, this air reduces the load on the body, namely the heart.

During the warm season, half of the annual precipitation falls in the region. But rainy weather very quickly gives way to sunny weather.

The Leninsky district of Crimea is located on the hills, which is also conducive to the improvement of the human body.

The Leninists open the swimming season in different ways; in some years, by the end of May, the water is already well warmed up, but in other years, not everyone will risk diving into the waters of the Sea of Azov by mid-June. In general, statistics indicate a stable duration of the swimming season of about 4 months (125 days). Although the beach is located a little far away, it still attracts tourists. Most often, the water temperature by the end of spring is almost +20°C, and in September +22°C.

Recreation and entertainment

Life in the village is simply in full swing. Every year various sports competitions are held here. In any weather, both winter and summer, football and volleyball are especially popular. For fans of sports fighting, children's and youth boxing competitions are held.

Quite often, family groups compete at family sports competitions, in which any family can take part if desired.

You can eat in the village at a local restaurant or canteen. There are quite a few cafes here. But there are many stores that offer a full range of necessary products. More recently, just 2 years ago, in the village. Lenino built the first large ATB supermarket.

What is the village famous for?

Naturally, the main attraction of the village is the monument to V.I. Lenin, after whom it was named.

There are also a lot of interesting places here that are connected with the Second World War. For example, on Nekrasova Street there is a monument to fallen soldiers. And every year on April 12, memorial processions are held near such monuments.

In the village there is a summer cinema “Rodina”, which, unfortunately, is no longer operating at the moment. Near the house of culture you can see the honor board of the village of Lenino.

How to get there

Getting to Lenino is quite easy. If you decide to travel by train, there are several options: Moscow-Kerch, Nikolaev-Kerch and Moscow-Dzhankoy. These trains run daily, but this spring (2014), due to additional border and customs operations, it is better to check their schedule in advance.

If you take a commuter train, there is only one: Kerch - Dzhankoy. This train runs twice a day - in the morning and in the evening.

If necessary, you can get to Lenino from the villages of Mysovoe, Shchelkino, Uvarovo, Vinogradnoye, Kirovo, Ilyichevo, Krasnogorka and Ostapino. Intercity flights operate from cities such as Kerch, Simferopol, Sevastopol, Armyansk and Dzhankoy.

Housing situation

The issue of housing in the village of Lenino is quite complicated. If you buy a house or apartment here, you can still find some sale options on the Internet. If you get in line for housing, you will have to wait a long time, since nothing new is being built at the moment. Now in the village itself there are five-, three- and two-story buildings, but the majority are one-story buildings. The main part of the village is located south of the railway.

But if you come here on vacation, things are much more difficult, especially when you don’t have any friends in the village. Upon arrival at the Seven Wells station, many taxi drivers offer accommodation of poor quality or at inflated prices, but if you are satisfied with everything, you can stay with one of them. As an option, there is one hotel “Vostok” in the village.

Cities and objects closest to the village

The closest place to the village of Lenino is the village. Korolevo (2.6 km), village. Ilyichevo (3,1), p. Kalinovka (3.6 km) and the village. Krasnogorka (5.9 km), but these places are not famous for anything special.

Another nearby village is Zavodskoye. It’s worth a visit, primarily because it is located on the shores of the Arabat Gulf. This can be called a resort town, as there are even holiday camps here. This place will also please fishermen, since fishing is very well developed and there will be no problems with renting a boat or gear.

The closest cities are Feodosia and Kerch. You can get to them again by train or bus. Feodosia is rich in interesting places, among which you should definitely visit the National Art Gallery. I.K. Aivazovsky. If you wish, you can explore the towers of St. Constantine, Dokovaya, Round, Thomas, the fountain to the “good genius” or Pushkin’s grotto. The city of Kerch is also famous for its attractions. This includes the Royal Mound, the Kerch Fortress, Chokrak, and an ostrich farm, a museum of flora and fauna and many other interesting places.

Afterword

The town of Lenino is a fairly quiet place with a favorable environment and climate. It is ideal for a family holiday or for those people who are tired of the constant city noise and bustle. But it is best to go here in the summer, so that there are no problems with housing. The pleasant and slightly humid climate of this area has a healing effect on the entire body. It is very easy to get to the sea, so if you want to swim or lie in the sun, it is not difficult to do.

An excerpt characterizing Lenino (Crimea)

“Yes, I knew this for a long time, but I forgot that except baseness, deception, envy, intrigue, except ingratitude, the blackest ingratitude, I could expect nothing in this house...
– Do you know or don’t you know where this will is? - asked Prince Vasily with an even greater twitching of his cheeks than before.
– Yes, I was stupid, I still believed in people and loved them and sacrificed myself. And only those who are vile and nasty succeed. I know whose intrigue it is.
The princess wanted to get up, but the prince held her hand. The princess had the appearance of a person who had suddenly become disillusioned with the entire human race; she looked angrily at her interlocutor.
“There is still time, my friend.” You remember, Katisha, that all this happened by accident, in a moment of anger, illness, and then forgotten. Our duty, my dear, is to correct his mistake, to make his last moments easier by preventing him from committing this injustice, not letting him die in the thoughts that he made those people unhappy...
“Those people who sacrificed everything for him,” the princess picked up, trying to get up again, but the prince did not let her in, “which he never knew how to appreciate.” No, mon cousin,” she added with a sigh, “I will remember that in this world one cannot expect a reward, that in this world there is neither honor nor justice.” In this world you have to be cunning and evil.
- Well, voyons, [listen,] calm down; I know your beautiful heart.
- No, I have an evil heart.
“I know your heart,” the prince repeated, “I value your friendship and would like you to have the same opinion of me.” Calm down and parlons raison, [let's talk properly] while there is time - maybe a day, maybe an hour; tell me everything you know about the will, and, most importantly, where it is: you must know. We will now take it and show it to the count. He probably already forgot about it and wants to destroy it. You understand that my only desire is to sacredly fulfill his will; I just came here then. I'm only here to help him and you.
– Now I understand everything. I know whose intrigue it is. “I know,” said the princess.
- That’s not the point, my soul.
- This is your protegee, [favorite,] your dear princess Drubetskaya, Anna Mikhailovna, whom I would not want to have as a maid, this vile, disgusting woman.
– Ne perdons point de temps. [Let's not waste time.]
- Ax, don't talk! Last winter she infiltrated here and said such nasty things, such nasty things to the Count about all of us, especially Sophie - I cannot repeat it - that the Count became ill and did not want to see us for two weeks. At this time, I know that he wrote this vile, vile paper; but I thought that this paper meant nothing.
– Nous y voila, [That’s the point.] why didn’t you tell me anything before?
– In the mosaic briefcase that he keeps under his pillow. “Now I know,” said the princess without answering. “Yes, if there is a sin behind me, a great sin, then it is hatred of this scoundrel,” the princess almost shouted, completely changed. - And why is she rubbing herself in here? But I will tell her everything, everything. The time will come!

While such conversations took place in the reception room and in the princess's rooms, the carriage with Pierre (who was sent for) and with Anna Mikhailovna (who found it necessary to go with him) drove into the courtyard of Count Bezukhy. When the wheels of the carriage sounded softly on the straw spread under the windows, Anna Mikhailovna, turning to her companion with comforting words, was convinced that he was sleeping in the corner of the carriage, and woke him up. Having woken up, Pierre followed Anna Mikhailovna out of the carriage and then only thought about the meeting with his dying father that awaited him. He noticed that they drove up not to the front entrance, but to the back entrance. While he was getting off the step, two people in bourgeois clothes hurriedly ran away from the entrance into the shadow of the wall. Pausing, Pierre saw several more similar people in the shadows of the house on both sides. But neither Anna Mikhailovna, nor the footman, nor the coachman, who could not help but see these people, paid no attention to them. Therefore, this is so necessary, Pierre decided to himself and followed Anna Mikhailovna. Anna Mikhailovna walked with hasty steps up the dimly lit narrow stone staircase, calling Pierre, who was lagging behind her, who, although he did not understand why he had to go to the count at all, and even less why he had to go up the back stairs, but , judging by the confidence and haste of Anna Mikhailovna, he decided to himself that this was necessary. Halfway up the stairs, they were almost knocked down by some people with buckets, who, clattering with their boots, ran towards them. These people pressed against the wall to let Pierre and Anna Mikhailovna through, and did not show the slightest surprise at the sight of them.
– Are there half princesses here? – Anna Mikhailovna asked one of them...
“Here,” the footman answered in a bold, loud voice, as if now everything was possible, “the door is on the left, mother.”
“Maybe the count didn’t call me,” Pierre said as he walked out onto the platform, “I would have gone to my place.”
Anna Mikhailovna stopped to catch up with Pierre.
- Ah, mon ami! - she said with the same gesture as in the morning with her son, touching his hand: - croyez, que je souffre autant, que vous, mais soyez homme. [Believe me, I suffer no less than you, but be a man.]
- Right, I'll go? - asked Pierre, looking affectionately through his glasses at Anna Mikhailovna.
- Ah, mon ami, oubliez les torts qu"on a pu avoir envers vous, pensez que c"est votre pere... peut etre a l"agonie. - She sighed. - Je vous ai tout de suite aime comme mon fils. Fiez vous a moi, Pierre. Je n"oublirai pas vos interets. [Forget, my friend, what was wronged against you. Remember that this is your father... Maybe in agony. I immediately loved you like a son. Trust me, Pierre. I will not forget your interests.]
Pierre did not understand anything; again it seemed to him even more strongly that all this should be so, and he obediently followed Anna Mikhailovna, who was already opening the door.
The door opened into the front and back. An old servant of the princesses sat in the corner and knitted a stocking. Pierre had never been to this half, did not even imagine the existence of such chambers. Anna Mikhailovna asked the girl who was ahead of them, with a decanter on a tray (calling her sweet and darling) about the health of the princesses and dragged Pierre further along the stone corridor. From the corridor, the first door to the left led to the princesses' living rooms. The maid, with the decanter, in a hurry (as everything was done in a hurry at that moment in this house) did not close the door, and Pierre and Anna Mikhailovna, passing by, involuntarily looked into the room where the eldest princess and Prince Vasily. Seeing those passing by, Prince Vasily made an impatient movement and leaned back; The princess jumped up and with a desperate gesture slammed the door with all her might, closing it.
This gesture was so unlike the princess’s usual calmness, the fear expressed on Prince Vasily’s face was so uncharacteristic of his importance that Pierre stopped, questioningly, through his glasses, looked at his leader.
Anna Mikhailovna did not express surprise, she only smiled slightly and sighed, as if showing that she had expected all this.
“Soyez homme, mon ami, c"est moi qui veillerai a vos interets, [Be a man, my friend, I will look after your interests.] - she said in response to his gaze and walked even faster down the corridor.

Wikipedia reports that in 1926, 372 people lived here, almost half of them were Germans, slightly less Ukrainians, even fewer Russians, and only eight Tatars. Then the village was called Seven Wells, after the railway station of the same name, thanks to which it appeared. In the legend explaining the name, the Germans also play an important role. The colonists also lived in the surrounding villages. Now the majority of the eight to nine thousand inhabitants are Russians, many Ukrainians, and many Tatars, for whom a mosque with megaphones on the minaret was built on the outskirts.
Lenino is the center of the largest region in Crimea, specializing in agriculture. Until the nineties, several industrial enterprises (mainly processing) operated in the village. In the summer, the Seven Kolodezei station serves as a transfer point for vacationers traveling to the nearby city of Shchelkino. Near the station, combined with the bus station, there is a market, in which and near which all the business activity of the village is concentrated. The houses are mostly one-story, but there is an area built up with high-rise buildings. Two newspapers are published, a couple of banks operate, and there are many gardens. Almost all grocery stores belong to the district consumer cooperatives.

Pushkin Street, central. Perpendicular to Lenin Avenue. There is a printing house, a post office, shops, a school, and residential buildings on it - one-story at the beginning, multi-story at the end.

The Vesna department store at the beginning of Pushkin Street, which turned out to be unnecessary not so much because of the impoverishment of the residents, but because the center of trade moved to the railway station.

School named after Gorky. During the war there was a hospital there.

An unfinished new building of the same school. It's been around since the late eighties.

The village of Lenino began to develop relatively recently; in the twenties, only 34 people lived here. But now it is a good resort area, promising and developed. It is very calm and peaceful here. Some tourists visit Lenino while passing through, while others stop here for a while and travel around in search of attractions in the surrounding area, because the transport infrastructure is well established enough to go to several settlements in Crimea at once. From the article you will learn everything about holidays in Lenino, Crimea in 2019 - what the village itself and its surroundings can give you.

Brief historical background

Of course, the territory of Crimea has been inhabited since ancient times, but the history of the village of Lenino is not at all distant. At the end of the 19th century, the infrastructure in the region developed, and a railway station was built here. It was called Seven Wells. There were very few residents, several factories and a high school. During the Great Patriotic War, heroes of underground groups were active here.

In the middle of the 20th century, a village grew here, which was named Lenino. At first the settlement was Soviet, then Ukrainian, and now, according to the legislation of the Russian Federation, it is part of our country. With the development of tourism in Crimea, the infrastructure of the village is slowly developing.

Brief geographical information and climate

Lenino is located in the west of the Kerch Peninsula and is a regional center. The climate of this cozy place can be classified as subtropical. In summer, when the season begins in Crimea, the temperature is moderate, only 26 degrees, and there is little humidity. The weather is pleasant with sunny days with virtually no precipitation.

Planning a trip to Lenino: transport and accommodation

How to get there?

Getting from Lenino means at least a couple of transfers. If you choose a plane before, the cost of the air ticket will be about 5,500 rubles one way. Buses run from Simferopol to Lenino. But the easiest way is to get from Moscow to the city - this can be done, for example, by purchasing a single ticket to Crimea from the railway workers. And from Kerch to Lenino is much easier: there is a train, there is a bus, and you can get there by car. The cost of travel on public transport will be about 100 rubles.

Where to stay?

Currently, the hotel infrastructure in Lenino is practically undeveloped: this village is just beginning to slowly develop as a place for summer holidays. Neighboring Shchelkino and Mysovoe, for example, are already more developed. However, who said that vacation necessarily means hotels? There are many people who would like the economical option of accommodation in the private sector, and there are similar offers in the village.

Holidays in Lenino: attractions and entertainment in the surrounding area

It should be immediately noted that getting to the sea from the village itself will take about half an hour by bus. As a rule, people from here go to the beach either to Semyonovka or to Semenovka - they are located about 10 kilometers from Lenino. Therefore, many tourists stay here only for a while. The sea and the beach are really good - sand, easy access to the water, but you have to get to the sea.

Of course, in the vicinity of the village you can arrange a “savage holiday”, but if you nevertheless went to the village itself or it is an intermediate point on your route around Crimea, it is worth knowing that from here you can go to some attractions in the surrounding area.

The village of Lenino is the center of the Leninsky district, among the attractions there are only the Church of John of Kronstadt and several monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, but the nearest settlements are famous for interesting places.

Mud volcano Jau Tepe

The mud volcano is located in the village of Vulkanovka. Jau Tepe translates as “hostile mountain.” It once destroyed many settlements during an eruption. The last century was the strongest, residents watched an impressive spectacle - throwing out dirt to a height of 60 meters. For more than half a century, the volcano has shown no signs of life, it is sleeping, but who knows what could happen to it. Now lovers of natural beauty flock to this place: after all, seeing a volcano, even if it is dormant, is worth the time spent.

Opuk Nature Reserve

This reserve was created relatively recently, in the 90s of the last century. Getting to it from Lenino is only an hour and a half by car, which means you can go there for the whole day. The reserve includes the mountain and Cape Opuk. It is interesting to look at the islands called Ship Rocks, which are located several kilometers from the coast, right in the sea, and have an unusual shape. But the most interesting thing in the reserve is the unique Koyash Lake.

Koyash Lake is an amazing body of water that looks like a large pink or red (depending on the weather) puddle. Seeing it in the photo, you might think that it is just the result of work in Photoshop. But this picturesque paradise actually exists. This unnatural color for water was formed due to its inhabitants: microscopic algae and crustaceans. The lake is the saltiest in all of Crimea. The brighter the sun, the brighter its color, and the water and mud from the lake are used for medicinal purposes.

Ak-Monai positions

They are located near the village of Kamenskoye. Ak-Monai positions are defensive fortifications, the roots of which go deep into history. This kilometer-long stone building was built back in the 20s and was actively used during the Great Patriotic War as a defense point. A monument was built nearby; all the events that happened here are written on it.

Ancient settlement of Heraclius

Located near Kerch. Here you can see the remains of building walls, attractive abandoned paths, and picturesque bays. Ancient ruins attract the attention of archaeologists and simply lovers of historical mysteries. The place looks a little scary, but still continues to attract with its mystery. In spring and summer, you can see some unusual animals here, such as shelducks and sardines.

Cape Kazantip

The cape is located not far from Shchelkino, that is, you can get out to the sea and to natural beauty at the same time. It is a natural monument: covered with steppe vegetation, surrounded by cliffs with limestone rocks. Near the cape you can see those who enjoy windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Factory

From Lenino you can easily get to the village of Zavodskoye, which has a more developed tourist infrastructure. In the village you can admire the Arabat Bay and Cape Red Kut. A trip to Zavodskoye will especially appeal to those who love fishing: these places are famous among fishermen, and therefore here you can rent everything you need and get an excellent catch.

Golden Gate and Koktebel

The Golden Gate is a stunning natural landmark of Crimea. You can get to it if you go to Koktebel; regular bus routes follow from Lenino. The Golden Gate is a rock that literally broke off from the Kara-Dag massif and is located in the sea, gradually going deeper and deeper. And in Koktebel it is worth looking at the Kara-Dag volcano itself, enjoying the creative atmosphere that has been preserved in this locality for a century, and you can also go to the water park.

Kerch

In an hour's drive by bus or car you can reach the large city of Kerch. It is not as famous as other cities of Crimea among tourists, but in vain: after all, Kerch has many attractions: Mount Mithridates with the ruins of the ancient Panticapaeum, mounds, crypts, fortresses. In general, the sights of Kerch can be visited in a day, so you should definitely set aside at least a day and go to this city.

Feodosia

An hour's drive away is Feodosia, which is quite famous for its attractions. Here you can see stunning fountains, the ruins of a Genoese fortress, explore medieval and active temples, as well as a stunning art museum. Feodosia deserves that you set aside more than one day to explore all its beauties.

Lenino and the Leninsky district are a quiet, peaceful place that attracts tourists all year round with a budget holiday, the opportunity to be in a calm environment and southern climate, relax by the sea and ride around the surrounding area, visiting the sights. It cannot be said that the settlement is now as well developed as many other villages in Crimea, however, hotel establishments and catering establishments are gradually being built, and perhaps in a few years Lenino will become a very popular holiday destination.
