City Day Moscow 2017: the authorities will spend about 740 million rubles

According to information RBC, the Moscow authorities plan to spend about 741.9 million rubles on the celebration of the City Day on September 9-10. In their publication, the journalists relied on data from the public procurement website. The city authorities have raffled off 116 tenders for the jubilee celebrations, and another five are being auctioned.

360.1 million rubles will be spent on festive decorations, reports Rsute.ru. The second largest expense item will be the organization of events - 229.9 million rubles. Another 97.4 million rubles were allocated for dispersal of clouds, fireworks will cost 31.4 million rubles. RUB 22.9 million assigned to concerts.

The most expensive on this day will be the show of Valery Meladze. 3.3 million rubles will be spent on the performance of the artist from the Moscow budget. Another 1.7 million rubles is the cost of Bianchi's concert, the Pizza group cost the city authorities a million rubles, and Alena Sviridova's performance was paid 680 thousand rubles.

The guests of the exhibition got acquainted with the history of world architecture, built a micro-city, played towns and sea battles, listened to the music of brass bands and competed for the sword of King Arthur.

More than 50 events, 17 interactive platforms and over 500,000 visitors - this is how it went at VDNKh. On September 9 and 10, the exhibition turned into a huge "City of Children", which this year was dedicated to architecture. 17 interactive sites are located on the territory from the Friendship of Peoples fountain to the City Farm and Ostankino Park. The children were able to try themselves as builders, designers, engineers and gardeners.

On the alley in front of pavilion No. 66, an open-air museum was opened, where children got acquainted with the history of world architecture. They made masks in the form of cities, created flower arrangements in a landscape park, participated in an architectural parade, made cardboard houses. 90 masters helped the children in this.

In the film lecture hall, lectures were given and cartoons and films about construction and architecture were shown, and at the City Farm they presented the premiere of Russia's first children's immersive performance based on the fables of Ivan Krylov. In two days, the production was seen by about five thousand people.

One of the most popular playgrounds was the play area, which was visited by about 12,000 guests over the weekend. In the "Park of Crafts" they competed in the rally and participated in master classes. More than 15,000 people visited its territory in two days.

The musical program was also varied. At the festival of brass bands, which was held at the site of the Green Theater of VDNKh. Stage on the water”, marches and waltzes, Balkan melodies and Dixieland sounded. Oleg Nesterov's Megapolis team performed in the Crafts Park, and the concert "Moscow Policemen to Muscovites!" was held near the Worker and Collective Farm Woman pavilion.

For sports fans, a crossfit tournament was organized next to Pavilion No. 27 "Physical Culture and Sports". More than a hundred of its participants fought for the main prize - the sword of King Arthur.

On City Day at VDNKh, the work was completed. Here one could find novelties and rare editions, communicate with the authors of contemporary works. More than 50,000 people attended the fair over the weekend.

In total, the City Day was celebrated at more than 300 venues. Over 400 major festive events were held for them: concerts, exhibitions, performances, competitions, games and excursions.
