The dessert ball is the final event of the Moscow gastronomic festival (photo). The official closing ceremony of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival was held at the Four Seasons Moscow Hotel and the winners of the IHF Dessert Ball were announced

On October 30, 2017, the “Dessert Ball” took place at the Four Seasons Moscow Hotel - the official closing ceremony of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival, which throughout October became a real celebration of taste. The authors of these sets, the best chefs of the city, restaurateurs, journalists and trendsetters became guests of the “Dessert Ball” - a beautiful end to the gastronomic holiday.

Eclairs with chocolate malachite, biscuit airships on sugar clouds, truffles with chicken liver, cakes in the form of forbidden sausages and cheeses, sweet sashimi and rolls, desert cake, for which, according to guests, “you can give your soul,” evaporated alcohol, sweet dumplings, they or wagashi with strawberries - all this magical beauty of taste was created by the following restaurants: AVIATOR, BRO&N, Butler, Bolognetta Osteria&Pizzeria, I Like Bar, La Bottega Siciliana, Moregrill, Maritozzo, LevelDva, Jamie's Italian, White Rabbit Family, "Balcony", "Hungry - Evil", "On Mosfilmovskaya", "Chaika", "Swallow", "Rappoport restaurants", "Makoto", "Cheese", Confectionery of the Metropol Hotel, "Panaehali", "Ptifour", "Eclair Claire".

The GRAY GOOSE bar served the main IHF cocktail throughout the evening - Le Grand Fizz - proof that vodka and gastronomy are inextricably linked. Achieving the standard of taste in a cocktail is an art, a fine piece of jewelry. Mixology requires the same skill and dedication as a chef in the kitchen.

The organizers remained true to the spirit of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival and invited the guests of the Dessert Ball to continue experimenting with flavors. Christian De Nadai from Four Seasons Moscow created a special recipe for desserts, where he directly used coffee as an ingredient and coffee as a flavor vapor. The result was a surprisingly harmonious combination: “Avocado with airy vanilla” and Nespresso Lounge Origin Guatemala and “Coffee ganache with ginger and coriander” accompanied by Nespresso Ristretto Origin India. The Nespresso Professional coffee bar treated guests to the perfect espresso, cappuccino and latte, while Italian mineral water Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino accompanied the exquisite desserts.

Rich Juice at the Dessert Ball for the first time presented the innovative Rich Crystal bottle, created in collaboration with one of the most famous industrial designers in America, Karim Rashid. Juice no longer requires glasses: Rich Crystal and a bright straw are the perfect presentation that emphasizes the multifaceted taste of Rich.

The festival is over and we all need to be patient and wait for the next Moscow Gastronomic Festival, for new amazing discoveries from the work of chefs and pastry chefs!

So many desserts in one place and at once? It is impossible to resist, it is unrealistic to try, and willpower refuses to work.

What's happened "Dessert Ball"? This is the official closing ceremony of the XI Moscow Gastronomic Festival, which took place in Moscow, when you could go to restaurants, try tasting sets and give your own ratings. And also the opportunity to try the “calling card” of the restaurant at an affordable price and form your own idea about the cuisine and the restaurant.

At the “dessert ball” the winners are announced, awards are presented, drink Nespresso coffee and Martell cognac (even those who were driving couldn’t resist a small cocktail, just shhh!).

Imagine a room in the Atrium of a hotel Baltschug Kempinski, full of desserts and only desserts? Now remember that Halloween is coming soon and complete the picture with pumpkin-skeleton desserts.

What do I personally remember from desserts? Tartlets with chestnut cream from Christian Lorenzini and desserts from the Bank restaurant.

I didn’t try even a tenth of everything there was! But the next morning I had heavenly pleasure in the form of “bird's milk” from Grand Cafe Dr. Zhivago” and I want to repeat it!

The results of the VI Moscow Gastronomic Festival, which took place in the Russian capital from November 8 to December 8, have been summed up. More than 50 restaurants took part in the festival, the menu of which included special tasting sets designed to demonstrate everything that the restaurant is proud of and what its team can do. The winner of the Festival is the restaurant that created the most popular set and received the largest number of positive ratings in the “Visa Gourmet” rating among festival guests.

The culmination of IFF 2010 was, according to tradition, the main gastronomic dinner of the year, Golden Triangle, held on December 13 at the Baltschug Kempinski Hotel. For the first time, two legendary Italian chefs simultaneously took part in its preparation: Massimo Battura And David Skabin. Russia was represented at this dinner by the chef of the Varvara restaurant Anatoly Komm.

“For the first time in Moscow, chefs of such a high level of skill and creativity worked in one kitchen. The synthesis of Italian and Russian gastronomic culture, like a fusion of the warm Mediterranean and frosty Russia, gave dinner guests the opportunity to experience the strongest taste emotions ", - speaks Igor Gubernsky, President of the IHF.

The capital's gourmets were served a dinner of five courses: “The Evolution of Beetroot” from Anatoly Comma, Massimo Bottura prepared “foie gras ice cream with Piedmont nuts and old balsamico from Modena”, “truffled leek cake, shallots from Romagna” , and David Skabin became the author of “raviolo with burrata and tomatoes” and “Iced fruit dessert”. Wine accompaniment for dinner was provided by a participant of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival - restaurant GrandCru on the recommendations of the vice-president of the Russian Sommelier Association Anatoly Korneeva.

The final event of the Moscow Gastronomic Festival was the Dessert Ball, which took place on December 14 in the Vremena Goda Gallery in a fashionable space where the most exquisite and sophisticated items from world designers are presented. The best chefs and pastry chefs of Moscow showed their sweet masterpieces to numerous guests of the final event of the Festival.

The name of the winner of the IFF 2010 was also announced: it was the Accenti restaurant. In addition to it, the top three included the Soho Rooms restaurant and the Dissident restaurant. The award for this year's best chef from Visa, the general partner of the VI IFF, was a weekend in Paris, the capital of Haute Gastronomy. LiveChef Accenti Igor Shurupov will be in the very center of the great city - at the Fouquet's Barriere hotel. “Paris is a special city for every restaurant business professional; visiting it is a kind of “return to basics.” In addition, the winner deserved at least a little rest and the opportunity to replenish his bag of gastronomic ideas. It’s quite possible to do this in Paris,”- thinks Oksana Berezina, Marketing Director of Visa in Russia.

The restaurant won the special nomination “For the most creative tasting set - “Grand Set By Garnd Marnier” Buono, which was chosen by the professional expert jury of the Festival. The partner of the Grand Marnier festival, a unique orange liqueur based on French cognac, presented its popular Grand'O cocktail to the guests of the festival, and presented a prize to the winner of the nomination - a trip to the homeland of Grand Marnier in the province of Cognac (France) to get acquainted with the great traditions and values of the Great House of Grand Marnier .

Grand Marnier

Grand Marnier is an unusual combination of cognac with the taste of wild green oranges from the Caribbean islands. The original bottle with a satin red ribbon and wax seal has remained unchanged for 130 years, reflecting the rich history of the drink, traditions and attention to detail of the creators of the House of Grand Marnier, creator Louis-Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle, who embodied an incredible idea, combining the noble taste of cognac with the best French lands with the tartness of wild green oranges from the Caribbean. The combination of time-tested classics and the exotic gives the character of Grand Marnier strength, courage and sensuality and challenges stereotypes.

Cocktail Grand'O: A new twist on Grand Marnier mixed with freshly squeezed orange juice and soda. Orange juice is a classic cocktail ingredient, but when combined with Grand Marnier, it brings out the full flavor and tartness of wild green oranges from the Caribbean. French cognac adds depth, complexity and length of flavor to a drink. Soda is refreshing and brightening.

S. Pellegrino

S.Pellegrino - the water of haute cuisine, has been present on the best tables of 120 countries around the world for 110 years. The basis of this success is high quality, unique style and the embodiment of Italian elegance. It was these values that united S.Pellegrino with the famous Italian textile brand Missoni and led to the creation of a joint project - an exclusive limited series of bottles “S.Pellegrino meets Missoni”. The designers of the house of Missoni interpreted the characteristics of water and dressed the S.Pellegrino bottle in a sophisticated outfit with the famous Missoni zigzag.

S.Pellegrino and Missoni invite you to meet the easily recognizable Missoni style in the best restaurants of New York, London, Paris, and, of course, Moscow, only in autumn 2010.
