Alila diwa goa 5 india. Hotel Alila Diwa Goa, South Goa. Public areas

From mid-autumn, when the rainy season ends in India, last-minute tours to Goa become popular. To escape the dank dampness of the mid-latitudes and get out of the gray landscapes into the world of the sun, tropical palm trees and the warm Arabian Sea - isn’t this a dream? Goa is the only state in India where the touch of Portuguese and Christian culture is strong. This administrative unit also holds the palm in terms of the number of tourists received. Goa is divided into North and South. The border between them is quite arbitrary and runs along the Zuari River. With similar climatic characteristics and nature, holidays in the North are radically different. This state was “discovered” by hippies in the seventies of the last century. Then they were joined by Rastafarians and downshifters. But all this informal public was pushed out from the south from the beginning of the 2000s. Now only North Goa is left for hippies and fans of trance music. The southern territories have become a refuge for wealthy European retirees and those who love a luxurious vacation. In this article we will talk about one such hotel called Alila Diwa 5*. We based the description of the rooms, infrastructure and beach solely on reviews from tourists.

Where is the hotel located

Naturally, we will talk about the South Goa hotel. Many complain that there is no trace of “real India” in this part of the state. Yes, outwardly they are not much different from Salou, Ibiza or Hawaii. But Alila Diwa 5* is located in the Majorda resort. This place is famous for its excellent (reviews say - the best in the state) thirty-kilometer sandy beach. The entire coast along it is built up with luxury hotels. So the guests of “Plila Diva” will not be surrounded by “poor neighbors”. But it should be taken into account that the hotel is located on the third lane. The famous Majorda Beach is six hundred meters away. But many tourists say that this is not a problem. After all, a free bus runs to the beach every fifteen minutes during the day. Since there are no slums shocking Europeans here, you can travel calmly and safely. Majorda unites eleven resort villages - from Betalbatim to Velsao. There is an excellent bus connection between them. The international airport of Goa - Dabolim is also located nearby. It will take about twenty minutes to travel from the airport exit to the hotel gate.

Territory and buildings

From the very first minutes, tired after a long flight from Moscow to Goa, travelers are surrounded by care. It seems as if you have crossed the gates of heaven. “Alila Diva 5*” is part of the “Design Hotels” hotel chain, and therefore they pay great attention to the design of the territory. By the way, it is huge - forty-eight thousand square meters. The hotel was built in 2009. Now it is divided into two unequal halves. One, big one, is Alila Diwa 5*. The second, smaller one is called “Diva Club Wing”. Tourists call this part of the hotel complex an “enclave of exclusivity.” Three dormitory buildings, built in neo-colonial style, rise in the tropical garden. These houses are low. One building is two-story, the rest are three-level. The buildings surprise with their original design: porticos and columns everywhere. But on the hotel grounds and in its rooms you feel like you are in India. Asian and European motifs are intertwined in the design.

Hotel Alila Diwa 5*: description of rooms

All guest rooms have spacious balconies or terraces. And this is a huge plus, since you can sunbathe without leaving your room. The most popular category is the standard, which the hotel calls “terrace room”. These rooms are located both in the ground floor and on the upper levels of the buildings. If you choose a standard, then you should ask to go to the southern building - the reviews suggest. There the view from the windows is more beautiful. There is also a “loft room”. These guest rooms are located in the attic and feature beautiful wooden finishes. These rooms have large private balconies. The Alila Suite is twice as spacious as the Terrace Room (88 versus 44 square meters). The room is intended for two guests. The Family Terrace Room is located on the ground floor and has its own patio. The pride of the hotel is its family suites. The Diva Club guests live in a separate building. This is a real island of luxury. This building also has a room and a suite.

Room equipment

As can be seen from the reviews of tourists, all guest rooms at Alila Diwa 5* are very beautifully and stylishly decorated. The design combines Indian motifs with modern European ones. The technical equipment of the rooms is impeccable. There is a TV with satellite channels, air conditioning, minibar (its contents, except drinking water, are paid), telephone, free safe. Wi-Fi is freely available in all rooms and at the reception. Tourists say that the rooms have brand new furniture and even a desk. The bathroom makes a special impression. It is simply huge, beautifully decorated, conducive to the pleasures of bathing. Guests are provided not only with various hygiene items, but also bathrobes and slippers. Guests were also pleased with the kits for making their own coffee and tea. The bags were replenished as they were used.

Nutrition

“BB” - this is how you can characterize the type of boutique hotel Alila Diwa Goa 5*. This means that breakfast is included in the price. And in terms of nutrition, the guests of the “Diva Club” have greater preference. They have their own restaurant, where breakfast lasts from early morning (the establishment opens while it’s still dark) until lunch. They serve a la carte there. You can only enter this restaurant once a day. Guests of the Terrace Room eat buffet style at Vivo. On the territory of the hotel complex there is a luxurious a la carte restaurant "Spice Studio". They offer Indian cuisine. Less generously spiced food is served in the small but cozy Breeze. In the hotel lobby there is a stylish Zee Edge bar with soft sofas and an extensive wine list. The hotel has an open area for organizing banquets and wedding receptions.

What tourists say about food

The guests of Alila Diwa Goa 5* were satisfied with the breakfast. The food is very satisfying and varied. Reviews claim that breakfasts are quite suitable for baby food. There is muesli, milk, sausages. A large number of pastries and fruits. In recent years, an “All Inclusive” system has been introduced for Russian tourists. But this program is used only by those who are interested in “free” alcohol. As for food, there are a huge number of cafes around the hotel with huge portions and ridiculous prices. Reviews urge you not to be afraid to visit local catering establishments. This is South Goa! You will not find any unsanitary conditions there, and the cuisine is simply wonderful. Many cafes have menus in Russian. Tourists say that having an electric kettle with drink bags in the room is a big plus. Reviews advise having lunch on the beach. If you take something from such a restaurant, the sunbeds and umbrella are free. Tourists recommended “Fishka” and “Martin”.

Beach

Tourists really liked the warm and mostly calm Arabian Sea, on the coast of which the Alila Diwa 5* hotel is located. The beach, however, is located six hundred meters from the hotel. But a free hotel bus runs to a section of the coast called “San Set” (“Sunset”) from morning to evening at fifteen-minute intervals. Entry into the sea is very comfortable, smooth, which is good for swimming children. There are no stones or corals, so you can do without beach shoes. The sandy coast is very long. All beaches in Goa are municipal. The owners of sunbeds and umbrellas are cafes and restaurants. The use of beach equipment can be called conditionally free. You order food or drinks and lie on a sun lounger under an umbrella. Although the beach is municipal, it is cleaned regularly. The coast can be reached on foot in seven minutes.

Swimming pools

Almost all photos of the hotel taken by tourists show these tanks in one way or another. And there is a reason for this. Under the hot tropical sun, the water warms up so much that there is no need to swim to warm up. How about lying in the water? Nothing could be simpler. The pool has shallow water with sun loungers. Only the head of a resting person rises above the surface. Diva Club guests have their own swimming pool. Other guests are not allowed to enter. But club VIP clients can use both tanks of the Alila Diwa 5* hotel. A children's pool is also available. Surrounding these freshwater lagoons is a spacious sunbathing terrace. It is lined with sun loungers, mattresses and umbrellas.

Hotel services

What level of service does Alila Diwa 5* greet guests? The hotel infrastructure fully meets its declared status. Although reviews say that the star rating of hotels in India does not in any way reflect the level of service in them. But Alila Diva belongs to an international network, and therefore they set the bar high. The rooms are cleaned twice a day. In the evening, the maids beautifully make the bed, draw the curtains and light a candle in the bathroom. The latter, by the way, is located right in the bedroom. But with the help of a sliding wooden screen it can be easily turned into a separate room. Despite the fact that the hotel has quite a few tourists from the Russian Federation, there is a Russian-speaking employee at the reception. You can park your car for free at the hotel. A porter will deliver your luggage to your room. There is a currency exchange office and a tour desk. Guests are greeted with a welcome drink. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Vacation with children

Of course, every tour operator will say that you should not go to India with a very small child. The flight from Moscow to Goa will be too long, and the acclimatization of a small organism will take a long time. But if you start your trip from the eastern regions of Russia and are planning a trip for at least ten days, then your vacation at Alila Diva 5* promises to be wonderful. The hotel attracts families with children with its pricing policy: all children under five years old stay in the hotel for free. Upon your request, a baby cot can be installed in the room. The hotel offers professional babysitting services.

Entertainment

Hotel Alila Diwa Goa 5* is trying to diversify the beach holiday of its guests with interesting activities. Board games can be borrowed free of charge from the reception. There is a cinema that can be visited by those who speak English. There is a small library with beach reading, where you can also find books in Russian. Of the paid services, most reviews recall yoga classes and a luxurious spa. In the last oasis of bath pleasures, you can not only steam in the sauna and hammam, soak in the jacuzzi or relax under the fingers of a massage therapist, but also undergo a wellness course on cleansing the face, body, and all sorts of wellness procedures. Tourists, especially female ones, highly recommended visiting this spa. You can rent bicycles and freely visit the gym. And for the youngest guests the hotel organized a mini-club.

Modern style. Each one has a private terrace, a seating area with a 40-inch flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with a separate bathtub.

The beach can be reached in just 10 minutes. Five-star hotel Alila Diwa Goa located on Gonsua Beach in South Goa. It offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and stunning views of the rice fields, 4 cafes and restaurants and an outdoor pool.

Guests can enjoy a relaxing body massage at Alila Spa or relax in the library. The hotel also provides concierge, ticketing and car rental services.

Hotel Goa Alila Diwa is a 20-minute drive from Dabolim International Airport. Free parking is available.

The 24-hour VIVO Restaurant serves Indian and international cuisines with a show kitchen. The open-air Spice Studio restaurant serves exotic Indian dishes. There is also a gourmet restaurant, Bistra, and the Edge Bar, which serves cocktails.

Reviews of the hotel Alila Diwa Goa 5* (Alila Diwa Goa) South Goa India

We love GOA, we love staying at Alila Diwa, having arrived for the fourth time, we were so disappointed that we don’t want to come again. We arrived early in the morning, we were taken to the hotel and then it began. Chadwick and Kasuga were on duty at the reception; I have never encountered such disgusting attitude in any hotel. Kasuga acted very arrogantly and did not want to communicate with us at all. She categorically did not want to check us in earlier, although the hotel had free rooms, we wanted to pay extra, but there was no way. At the same time, no one offered us, as in previous times, neither to go have breakfast, nor to wait for check-in near the pool, nor the Wi-Fi password, nor anything at all. Several times she came up to the reception and asked us to check in, because... I felt very bad after the flight. The last time, this person just threw...

4 days passed like 10. Wonderful hotel. Beautiful rooms, excellent cuisine.

After a tiring flight, a surprise awaited us in the room - a filled bathtub with rose petals.

Food. I never thought that Indian cuisine could be so diverse and very tasty.

The hotel staff is impeccable. Nothing to add.

Despite the fact that the hotel does not have its own beach, we did not experience any discomfort. We relaxed and had fun near the pool.

The SPA deserves special praise. Beautifully decorated offices, relaxation areas after spa treatments.

I want to come back here again and again

Check-in: immediately upon arrival, early in the morning. It was autumn, by the way, after an overnight flight. In correspondence, the Hotel said that early check in is a matter of availability, but
Number. We had room w251, in the western building, at the very end, near the theater. On the one hand - it’s good, far from everything, on the other - one evening there was a corporate event in the theater with a very loud sound.
Room: very nice. We had a terrace room on the 2nd floor. On the first floor the terrace is larger and overlooks the lawn, but the second floor was quieter in terms of creeping things. The room has a bath and shower. The wet area is separated by thin sliding doors: this may be confusing for some. Excellent bed, two pillows each. Coffee, tea, sugar, kettle. The minibar refrigerator was 15 degrees, not too cold. There are two couches on the terrace...

We were very pleased with the trip, the hotel, cuisine and service did not disappoint) large and regularly cleaned room, varied breakfasts, availability of shuttles ready to take you to the beach and back at any time, live music and cocktails in the bar after dinner) attentive and helpful staff

Everything was up to standard, pleasant staff, clean rooms, although old.
There are decorative pools on the territory, they are practically unmarked, several have lighting; during the 2 days of my stay, two people fell into these pools. Be careful! The staff, although friendly, is very slow! You can drink drinks by the pool for 30 minutes. When checking out, we waited 46 minutes for luggage from the room.

Good afternoon everyone! We rested with my wife from December 21 to 29, 2018. I think this hotel is the best in this place. Everything is very clean, tasty, beautiful, we have been to many other countries before, this hotel is in the top 3 of our visits. Regarding the staff: all the employees are responsive and always ready to come for a cleaning. There was such a situation, we went on an excursion, we forgot both phones in the car, there is a Russian-speaking girl at the hotel, Cindy, who helped us a lot during the entire vacation, helped us get our phones back, arguing with the taxi driver, who delayed the return of the phone for more than 4 hours, with whom the telephone numbers were passed on, many thanks to her, I have never met such kind and sympathetic people on vacation. Thanks again! The beach in this place is the best in Goa, I recommend it to everyone! Attached are photos from the women's blog...

For a long time I couldn’t decide to go to India, having watched enough different programs. But it happened. I rested with my wife at the Alila Diwa hotel. The hotel is wonderful! Purity! Cleaning and linen change daily. Every evening a compliment from the hotel - fruits and sweets. It's a small thing, but nice. Moreover, no fuss, no carts in the corridor with dirty laundry, as is usually the case. The staff is very pleasant and smiling. It was very nice that we were checked in right away, even though we arrived at 5 am. It’s good that the hotel has a Russian-speaking administrator, Cindy. Many thanks to her for her advice and recommendations on many issues. The hotel is excellent. The vacation was a success.

South Goa. Beautiful territory, wonderful rooms, cool balcony-terrace. The staff is caring! I especially want to mention Cindy, our guardian angel, who helped us with everything! Thanks a lot! The breakfasts are delicious, I really liked the system when you order an omelette and don’t have to wait for it, but just give your table number and they bring it to you when it’s ready.
There are almost no shops near the hotel; we took a taxi and went to a small supermarket 7-10 minutes away. Beach. The beach itself and the sea are clean, but the cafes around (the cafes where you can get a sunbed and not pay for it if you order something) are average. The food there is tasty and inexpensive, but the sunbeds and tables themselves are far from 5*. Very annoying sellers of all sorts of nonsense. We were so tired of them that we spent the last 2 days at the hotel near the pool. If we talk about Goa in general, then...

The hotel is great! Very beautiful. Breakfasts are very good.
The downside is the groups of guests from India arriving every Friday. They do not behave modestly, to put it mildly). They walk very noisily all night long! A huge plus is the Russian-speaking manager at the hotel, Silvia, who is a very caring person who cares about Russian tourists! On call 24 hours a day. We were behind her as if behind a stone back! Sylvia, thank you

We rested with my husband in November 2018. A quiet, relaxing hotel for relaxation, without parties or discos. We had breakfast at the hotel, everything was very tasty, clean, a large selection of European and local dishes. The sea is not far away, you can take a shuttle, we liked to walk along the road to the beach, we perceived it as exercise, the sea is clean, there is a cafe on the beach, umbrellas are not hotel ones, but all the amenities are there. I recommend the hotel for a relaxing holiday

We have been staying at this hotel for several years and always at the same time. Despite the distance from the sea, civilization in the form of shops, we were satisfied, first of all, with the service and wonderful attitude towards residents from the administration and employees, alas, all this is a thing of the past. You can, of course, in a 5-star hotel not pay attention to the fact that the same liquid was poured into the bottles with the inscriptions Shower Gel, Shampoo, Conditioner - well, the employees joked, it happens... They poison mosquitoes not at night, but in the evenings when there is a cluster residents who are forced to run through a dense veil of an unknown chemical - this is probably also funny to watch from the outside. But the fact that they did not consider it necessary to congratulate their regular client on their birthday, which they did more than once before this year - ...

We were on vacation with my wife and 3-year-old child, we lived in the main building, a standard room, they brought a cot for the child, the room has everything you need, the breakfast is simply wonderful, there is absolutely everything you need and even more. There is a free shuttle to the beach, we have never waited more than 2-3 minutes, the ride is also 2 minutes. There are two shakes on the beach, the prices and quality of food are approximately the same, you can bargain. The beach is of course super, but this was our third time in India, before that we were even further south on Benaulim, the beaches are very similar, there are only much more shakes on Benaulim. If you leave the hotel, there will also be two cafes opposite, both quite decent, serving Russian cuisine. I definitely recommend the hotel, but it has become much more expensive.

Wonderful hotel As soon as you enter the hotel grounds, you understand that your vacation will be wonderful. A beautiful, well-kept hotel, all surrounded by greenery. The rooms with terrace are great. You go out onto the terrace and you immediately find yourself in paradise. The pool is very beautiful. The hotel staff is friendly. All our problems were solved immediately by Cindy. We forgot half of our things near the pool. We remembered about them after 2 days)))) they brought everything and saved it. That. The fact that the hotel is not on the 1st line is not a problem at all. We didn't wait more than 3-5 minutes for the car to get to the beach. . On the beach, the shake - “our Masha” - are sincere guys: they will feed you very, very tasty and love to chat. They know several languages very well and therefore they have their own approach to all of them. The only negative is that we had very noisy neighbors living in the hotel. We went out...

We were at the hotel from November 8 to November 18, 2018. We are very pleased with the food, comfortable rooms, the service staff is attentive, quickly respond to requests, polite and smiling. I especially liked Sindija Pinhero, the hotel's Russian guide. Attentive, surprisingly sensitive to every tourist, She told us a lot of interesting things about India, traditions, and people. You won’t find such an intelligent guide in every hotel. I wish the hotel prosperity!!! Sindija, we hope that next time you will meet us!!! We will come here for the sixth time!! Thank you

Good day everyone, in fact, we just booked this hotel, according to our friends it is a very good hotel, there is a shopping street, restaurants, Aurveda. In the past, we vacationed at the Hollywood Hotel near Colva, but there was absolutely nothing there. The hotel is far from entertainment. We eat for the service, I want to try what’s new that the hotel has to offer. Reading the reviews we were not disappointed, apparently there is something to offer. I'm waiting for a big plate of shrimp and sea bass)). What I like about Goa in general is its good food, various European and Indian. And not far from the hotel they say there are two exits to the beach. The beach is not sealed, this is a very big plus. We don’t eat in Sheki, and this time we chose the hotel based on the walking distance of a restaurant and small cafes, including a store. Everything is fresh and delicious and cheaper. There is a tap place near the hotel...

I really liked this hotel. beautiful, clean area, polite staff, excellent rooms. There is not enough evening entertainment programs for guests - in the evening you can only sit in a good restaurant.

All liked it. First we checked into a hotel nearby. They couldn’t stand the squalor and ran away a day later to Alila Diva. Fortunately, the discount was also 38%, since it was the beginning of the season and there were few tourists. Level 5+, the staff is super, they try very hard to be helpful and attentive. The area is a fairy tale compared to the rest of Goa. There is no direct access to the beach, so it turned out to be unnecessary when there is a wonderful pool. Although we took a free shuttle to the beach in the morning. Back from the beach too - you tell the security guard that you want to go to the Hotel, he calls the shuttle. I liked that the hotel doesn’t require cash, you leave a deposit, then cover all expenses with a card. The flight was early and we didn’t have time to have breakfast. They prepared lunch boxes for us, very tasty sandwiches, juice, fruit, water. We are glad! The hotel is wonderful!
We rented bicycles...

A wonderful hotel if you are looking for a quality relaxing holiday. I immediately advise you to pay attention that the hotel is not on the first or even second line. 3rd line and public beach. The hotel's free shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes. So getting there is not a problem. The drive takes about 5 minutes. You can walk in 10-15 minutes, a distance of about 500 m. But drive or walk through a dirty village. So such a walk will bring little pleasure, but if you look at the life of the locals and how they really live there, you can take a walk. But the smells may shock some. Immediately at the entrance to the sea where the shuttle stops for several sheks. With relatively cheap seafood and other food, but very annoying barkers. The first day or two it’s annoying, but then you don’t pay attention at all. There are also local shops on the beach...

We returned to Alila in August 2018, during the rainy season, as it happened due to work. But even this did not overshadow our vacation) We arrived at the hotel around 8 am, we thought we would have to wait until 14-15 for our room. But immediately after arrival we were checked in! This is not the first time we have been to this hotel, in the absence of available rooms (we had booked a standard room) and as regular customers we were offered the Alila Club, we of course agreed :) There are several shops and cafes right next to the hotel, there is a small supermarket, very convenient. There are several sheks on the beach, right at the exit to the sea. We usually visited Alex Place (very tasty food, calm atmosphere), and Mishmar Masha Cafe (fast, very high-quality service, “they will take the moon out of the sky” if necessary). They never got poisoned, which they were happy about, having read various...

I visited this hotel thanks to an information tour organized by the travel agency where I worked. I have been to many five* hotels but this one was special for me. We spent 2 nights there. Territory, gorgeous pool, food, everything is at its best. Even the fact that it was not close to the sea did not change my attitude) a special buggy car took you to the sea, and it also picked you up at a pre-agreed time.

The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are huge and modern, the staff works hard, the hotel is beautiful, green, well-kept, clean. We had breakfast, it was ordinary. It’s a long drive to the sea, but a car was available upon request, and secondly, the sea is gorgeous. It’s warm, clean, and the beach is so clean that I haven’t seen anything like it even in Europe. Although everyone says that India is dirty. Yes, but not here! In short, we fell in love with this hotel irrevocably and at the end of the holiday (last evening) an unpleasant surprise awaited us - the perfume that I bought in duty free was stolen from my room. It was very unpleasant. We informed the reception, the head of the security service came, someone else took a look and left. In the morning, my husband asked the reception to invite the general manager of the hotel. The main manager of the hotel turned out to be English, we explained to him the essence of the...

First there was a visit to the sights of the Golden Triangle: Delhi, Jaipur, Agra. Everything is in rhythm, with short nights, with excursions at dawn, but unforgettable. Thanks to our guide for this.
Then a flight to Goa, where we could relax and enjoy a luxurious room at the Alila Diwa Goa hotel, its beautiful green landscape, a restaurant that meets all refined tastes, and a luxurious swimming pool. Our room was quite spacious, clean linen, a snow-white bath and shower, all the necessary toiletries, a cozy balcony with two sofas and overlooking the hotel grounds with its palm trees decorated with ponds. The hotel staff is very polite, the service is at the proper level.
The hotel's short distance from the beach did not detract from its merits. It was our choice: drive a couple of minutes on a special shuttle that transports tourists to the beach and back with enviable frequency, or walk for about 7 minutes, enjoying the surrounding landscape. The gentle sea, the warm sand - everything filled with some kind of bliss, joy and happiness.
But the most valuable thing in this corner of paradise is the people, their kindness, smiles, and incredible openness. I was lucky enough to meet my savior. Last year he saved me when I was drowning at sea. I am eternally grateful to him. An unusually kind person. These were his friends - the rescuers. And I must admit, they carry out their service very responsibly. Their vigilance and appropriate preparation helped save more than one life on the Goa beach. So your safety will depend not only on you.
An addition to our amazing holiday was a visit to SwaMi Ayurveda Clinic. The visit to this clinic was based on the fact that I had an excellent impression of the procedures performed in this clinic last year. For a very small price, you can take several procedures that the doctor will recommend to you after a conversation and dosha check at the beginning of your visit. The sound of mantras will relax you even more and set you up for healing. There are professionals working there who do their jobs conscientiously. But these are also unusually friendly people who can carry on a conversation with you, by the way, in Russian, and offer you a cup of tea. It is very convenient to visit this clinic, because... it is located in close proximity to the beach on the way from the hotel. I highly recommend visiting this clinic - you will be very pleased.
I don’t know what happens to many of my friends who have visited Goa. They feel somehow renewed, energetic, happy. And they all definitely want to return. I want to go back there too! And I will return there! I will be glad if it will be the Alila Diwa Goa Hotel again!
