On vacation, many try to get away from the bustle of the city and gas pollution somewhere in nature. For Muscovites and residents of the capital's satellite towns, there is a wonderful place - the Pirogovskoye Reservoir, where you can fully breathe in the clean air, admire the amazingly beautiful landscapes, sunbathe, swim to your heart's content and even catch fish. And all this is practically close to home. There is no need to pack your suitcases for the trip or wait for a vacation. The weekend has arrived - and off we go to Pirogovka.

Where is it, how to get there

The Pirogovskoye reservoir is located near the village of Pirogovo (just 10 km from Mytishchi and 30 km from Moscow). There are quite a few settlements located on its banks. Among them are Boltino, Terpigorievo, Povedniki, Chiverevo, Zhostino, Sorokino, Podrezovo, Ostashkovo. There are also areas of forested areas that have not yet been affected by construction. So everyone can choose the vacation spot that suits them best. As a hydroelectric complex, the Pirogovskoye reservoir is one of the “links” of the chain of reservoirs in the Moscow region. It is separated by a dam from Klyazminsky, essentially being its eastern part, and the Moscow Canal connects with the Khimki and Pyalovsky man-made reservoirs.

There are several excellent routes connecting Moscow, Mytishchi, Dolgoprudny, Cherkizovo, Mamontovka, Pushkino, dozens of other cities and the Pirogovskoye reservoir. How to get to the reservoir by car? The route depends on the starting point. From Moscow you can drive from the Moscow Ring Road along the Ostashkovsky highway. The length of the route is about 18 km. Or from the Moscow Ring Road along the Yaroslavl highway to the Yauza River. After it, turn left onto Pirogovskoye Highway.

There is also public transport going to the Pirogovskoye Reservoir. How to get there and what? Firstly, by buses (minibuses). In Moscow they depart from the Medvedkovo metro station. No. 438 - to Boltino, Pirogovo, Sorokino, Bay of Joy and Chiverevo, and No. 314 - to Boltino and Pirogovo. It’s even more convenient to travel from Mytishchi. From here there are 4 buses No. 22, 26, 23 and 31.

Geographical description

The Pirogovskoye Reservoir is very beautiful, but small. Its length is only 7 km, and its width is on average up to 1 km. There are places where it is less, and at some points it reaches 1.5 km. A reservoir appeared along the bed of the Klyazma River, completely flooding 1 village and partially the second. Its depths are not the same throughout the water area. So, there are places where they are only 5-6 meters, along the river bed they reach 11-12 meters, and in some places, for example, near Sorokino, there are points with a depth of up to 20 meters. The banks of the reservoir are mostly built up, but there are still many beautiful places left here. The largest green area is the Khlebnikovo Park and the Klyazmensky Forest Park, located between the villages of Povedniki and Terpigoryevo. The Pirogovsky and Uchinsky forest parks are partially adjacent to the reservoir. Plants in the parks are spruce, pine, and birch. There are mushrooms, berries, and various herbs. The fauna is represented mainly by birds. Among the large ones are ducks, snipe, herons, owls, and woodcocks. Here you can also meet some animals - raccoons, muskrats, stoats, squirrels, hedgehogs, beavers, foxes, martens. There are a lot of fish in the reservoir, and artificial stocking is carried out. Pike, burbot, carp, tench, bream, silver bream, pike perch, roach, crucian carp and others are caught.

Fishing

In winter and summer, fishermen go to the Pirogovskoye Reservoir. Relaxing with a fishing rod is a heavenly pleasure for them. There are many places on the shores where you can rent a house inexpensively and, after a successful fishing trip, use the barbecue in a cozy gazebo. There are also many retail outlets offering a variety of drinks and snacks. Each fisherman has his own “cool” places here. Among the most popular are the bays near the villages of Cheverevo and Pavedniki, where the terrain is difficult. White and predatory fish are caught here. There are always a lot of fishermen near Dubrava, Ostashkov, Sorokino, near the water pump, as well as the former factory. In summer there are many yachts and catamarans on the reservoir, which makes fishing somewhat difficult, but in winter it is quiet. This is precisely why many fishermen like to come here in winter.

Beaches

Many people come to the Pirogovskoye Reservoir for a beach holiday. The beach in Bay of Joy is one of the most popular. The service here is well developed - houses for rent and sports grounds are offered. There are cafes and a lot of attractions. In addition to this beach, there are others at the Pirogovskoye Reservoir. “Dubrava” is valued for its free entry, cleanliness, and the ability to pitch a tent. There are no attractions here, so it is somewhat quieter than other places. "Flagship" has a very beautiful design. There is a cafe, a lot of entertainment, sun loungers, umbrellas, and convenient entry into the water. "Malibu" is the own beach of the Malibu Group of Companies. It also has all the amenities, even a restaurant on the water and a swimming pool.

Which beaches in Moscow and the Moscow region offer the best conditions at the lowest prices? Where are the best beaches in Moscow?

The following beaches and reservoirs took part in the review: Istra Reservoir, Troitskoye, Borisov Ponds, Levoberezhny, Baboshkino Lake, Troparevo, Serebryany Bor, White Lake, Meshcherskoye Lake, Bay of Joy, Monterosso, yacht club "Admiral", "Flagman", Khlebnikovo , Lytkarinsky quarry.

In the summer, everyone wants to swim and sunbathe, but it’s not always possible to get out to the sea for a week. A beach holiday in Moscow, as it turns out, is also possible. Don’t think that you can’t find a single decent place for swimming in the metropolis. Today in Moscow there are 11 recreation areas with swimming and more than 20 recreation areas without swimming that have been put into operation. In addition, do not forget about the nearest Moscow region, where such wonderful and famous places as the Pirogovskoye, Klyazminskoye, Istrinskoye reservoirs and many other reservoirs are located.

In Moscow you can swim in places such as: Left Bank Beach, Beach Club, Serebryany Bor (Serebryany Bor-2 and Serebryany Bor-3), Meshcherskoye Lake, White Lake, Zelenograd reservoirs (Bolshoy Gorodskaya Pond, Shkolnoye and Black Lakes) etc. The Troparevo recreation area, which is a traditional place for swimming among Muscovites, is currently not accepted for operation. There are many more recreation areas without swimming in Moscow: Borisov Ponds, Stroginskaya Floodplain, Putyaevskie Ponds, Kalitnikovsky Pond, Oleniy Ponds, etc. It is worth noting that swimming is prohibited in all these places, as indicated by signs along the entire coastline of each reservoir. Despite this, people continue to swim in all these ponds. Summer in Moscow is hot and nothing can be done about it. Mostly people want to find a decent recreation area closer to home.

During the review, I singled out the Istra Reservoir for myself. It is located relatively close to Moscow in very picturesque places. The famous New Jerusalem Monastery is located nearby, centuries-old pine and spruce trees are located along the entire coastline of the reservoir, the beaches are quite comfortable and mostly free. In addition, I would like to highlight the Borisov ponds, which have been greatly transformed in the last few years, the water here has been purified, neat paths have been laid throughout the ponds, children's playgrounds have been built, boat rentals have been updated, etc. The Troitskoye recreation area also pleased with its amenities, but the famous beaches Serebryany Bor disappointed me a little.

The main criteria for the review were:

  • Entry price
  • Availability of basic amenities for a good rest (locker rooms, showers, etc.)
  • Cost of renting sunbeds, etc.
  • Availability of infrastructure near the beach (cafes, parking, etc.)
  • Prices for additional entertainment (boat rental, zorbing, etc.)

1. Malye Berezhki Beach, Istra Reservoir

Istra Reservoir located in the city of Istra (60 km from Moscow). There are various options for summer holidays. Some people choose to travel to hot countries, such as Turkey, Egypt or Cyprus. Others simply leave for European countries. However, many people remain in their homeland. There can be many reasons, which is why there are many hotels and holiday homes in Russia. But what about people who are not going to go there? Visit beaches and places that are more or less nearby, fortunately there are now a lot of them on the territory of the Russian Federation. Today I would like to talk about “Flagman” (beach). Mytishchi, where this holiday destination is located, is located not far from Moscow. Therefore, it is loved by many tourists.

This reservoir extends from Chiverev to the Pirogovskaya dam. It is connected to two other reservoirs; a territory built on its eastern part is an excellent place for lovers of active and extreme types of recreation, as it offers:

The place is also noteworthy for yachtsmen. The reservoir itself was built on the territory of Pirogovskoye, which is home to about 10 thousand people. This charming place has its own interesting history and culture. There is a wood processing plant and a power plant here. On the territory of the Pirogov Reservoir there are many recreation centers and beaches, one of which is Flagman Beach.

If you are going to go there by car, then you will first have to go through Mira Avenue and turn onto Yaroslavskoe Highway. After Mytishchi, which is located at kilometer 94, we turn. Next you need to continue driving along Pirogovskoye Highway. The Flagman beach in Pirogovo is paid, but the prices here are not so high. All areas are landscaped as much as possible, the Beach complex assumes the holding of magnificent celebrations, celebrations, parties and large events. The huge area of the Flagman beach can be rented in advance; to do this, you need to contact the administration a month before the holiday date. Flagman Beach is the place where many Moscow residents come to relax and sunbathe. It is so popular because of its location and low prices. The beach occupies most of the territory of Khimki and is very deep, 5-8 meters, and in some places up to 11 m.

By the way, the cafe has a very varied menu, which includes various dishes of European cuisine; this establishment specializes in cooking dishes over fire (lulya kebab, pork, beef, chicken). On the beach there are several tents where banquets, celebrations, and master classes for children are held. For an additional fee you can arrange your own event there, fortunately the size of the tents allows it.

Reviews from tourists

A simple, inexpensive, but at the same time wonderful holiday is provided by the Flagman beach. Reviews from tourists, both regular and occasional guests, are mostly positive. Visitors rave about the magnificent nature and beautiful views of the Pirogovskoye Reservoir. Also, many note the excellent service, convenience, and abundance of services provided. Tourists especially like the opportunity to rent scooters and boats at very low prices. The beach is a favorite place for family holidays; most visitors are ready to celebrate summer holidays here and entertain children.

A few tips will help you spend your holiday profitably and comfortably, and avoid minor troubles.

  • Since this place is popular in the fall, it is better to leave home early and arrive at the beach no later than 11, otherwise you risk being left without a place “in the sun.”
  • It is better to buy food and soft drinks in advance, as the cafe and shop located on the beach offer them at inflated prices.
  • Be sure to bring a variety of skin care and protection products with you to protect yourself from sun damage.
  • Do not stay in the sun for a long time, there is a possibility of getting sunstroke; Be sure to wear a hat.
  • If possible, after being in the sun for about half an hour, take a dip in the water. Be extremely careful when in the water.
  • Do not swim where the depth is too deep.
  • Do not dive into water while drunk! Unfortunately, on the territory of some beaches there is no rescue team and all responsibility for your own life falls only on you.

Follow these simple rules and you will get the most out of your holiday and be safe. But don’t forget about other people who, like the rest, came to relax. There is no need to play your music loudly, shout, litter on the beach, especially leave glass bottles, which are dangerous objects in such a place. Be polite to people, treat them the way you want to be treated. Do not light a fire on the beach and think about the safety of those people who are with you.

Finally

A great place where you can spend time with your loved ones and just friends - “Flagman” (beach). Prices here are relatively low, there is a wide range of services, a large area, and a clean beach. In addition, the beach is located near Moscow. Once you visit this place, you will want to come here again and again. No one will remain indifferent and will not forget the time spent in nature, near the amazingly beautiful Pirogovsky reservoir. This once again proves that, without going somewhere abroad to resorts, you can have a great time at home, relax and gain strength for future work. After all, what we lack today is time to relax, to get to know ourselves, to spend time with loved ones.
