Vienna-Schwechat Airport is 16 km away from Vienna. The center of the capital can be quickly and conveniently reached by public transport. It’s up to you to decide whether to travel by train or high-speed shuttle train, by bus or taxi. I wish you a pleasant journey!

CAT high-speed train – the fastest way

The easiest, most convenient and fastest way is the CAT train, which is connected to city trains and the metro.

The City Airport Train/CAT route runs from Schwechat Airport to Wien Mitte station (Landstraße metro station, lines U3/U4) without stops.

The CAT train runs daily from the airport from 06:06 to 23:36, from Wien Mitte station from 05:36 to 23:06 with an interval of 30 minutes. Travel time 16 minutes.

SAT train ticket price

• A one-way CAT train ticket costs €11;
• Round trip – €19;
• CAT ticket + city transport ticket – €14;
• CAT ticket + 24-hour pass for public transport – €20;
• Children under 14 years old are free.

Tickets can be purchased:

• Electronic ticket (can be shown from a mobile screen)
• In the baggage claim area at the machine
• online on the carrier’s website €1 cheaper;
• in vending machines in the arrivals hall or on the platform;
• at the tourist information center at the airport;
• from the conductor with a surcharge of €2.

Along with an express ticket, you can buy a 24, 48 and 72 hour pass for public transport.

A City Airport Train ticket to the airport gives you the right to check in on the day of departure at any time (but no less than 2.5 hours before departure) for the flight directly at the Landstrasse/Wien Mitte station and receive a boarding pass.

Finding the train at the airport is easy: in the arrivals hall, follow the green CAT signs.
In the center of Vienna: you need to find the Landstraße metro station (U3/U4), and signs will lead you to the train station to Schwechat.

Electric train S7

The most economical way to travel from the airport to Vienna is the S7 train of the S-Bahn intracity railway. You have to look carefully at the board and at the train; sometimes the train will only go as far as Wien Mitte. As you leave the arrivals hall, look for the S7 logo. Opposite the exit from the baggage claim hall there is an elevator to the platform.

The S7 journey to Wien Mitte is only 9 minutes longer than the SAT train, as the S7 makes a number of stops where you can get off and transfer to the metro, tram or bus.

Landstrasse/Wien Mitte station is connected to the U3 and U4 metro stations.

Ticket price for S7

Since Schwechat Airport and Vienna Airport are located in different but adjacent tariff zones, you will need a ticket for €4.20. The same ticket includes (City Ticket Wien) until the end of the day.

If you already have a city transport pass or , you will need to purchase an additional ticket for €1.80 through the red ÖBB railway machine. Children under 6 years old travel free on the S7 train.

Tickets for the S7 train are sold:

Vienna Airport Lines buses

The bus is a good option to get from Wien-Schwechat airport to the center, provided that it is not rush hour. The bus stop is located near the arrivals hall. Very convenient to get to train stations.

Route VAL1 Airport → Westbahnhof station

Bus 100E departs from the airport every 20 minutes from 05:00 to 01:20. The ticket costs 900 forints, you can buy it at a special window at the airport or at a ticket machine (by card or cash). The journey from the airport to the center of Budapest takes about 45 minutes; along the way, the bus drops off passengers at three stops: Kálvin tér, Astoria, Deák Ferenc tér (final). At the Astoria and Deák Ferenc tér stops you can change to the metro, bus or tram to your hotel.

The easiest and most popular way is the 100E bus.

Route 200E. The bus goes from the airport to the middle of nowhere, but it will be more convenient for you to get off at the Kőbánya-Kispest M or Határ út M metro station. The city center is 8-10 stations away. On this route, regular tickets for public transport in Budapest are valid (350 forints per trip), you can buy them at a special window at the airport or at a ticket vending machine. During the day, the interval of the 200E bus is 10-15 minutes; at night, the route changes its name to 900 and runs at intervals of 30-45 minutes. 2. From the center of Budapest to the airport by bus

Route 100E. The bus leaves every 20 minutes from 03:40 to 00:40 from Deák Ferenc tér Square ( stop on the map). The train is a much less convenient way to get from Budapest Airport to the city center. But it exists, so let’s write about it too. This method is best for you if you live near Nyugati West Station.

1. From Budapest airport to the center by train

Most likely, you will fly into Terminal 2 of Budapest Airport. You will need to go to terminal No. 1, next to it is the Ferihegy railway station you need ( a point on the map). Trains from the airport to the center of Budapest run very frequently, up to 100 times a day. A ticket to Nyugati West Station costs 350 forints; you can buy it at the ticket office at the station or at the ticket machine there. 2. From Budapest to Liszt Ferenc Airport by train

Actually, everything is the same: you arrive at the Nyugati train station ( a point on the map), buy a ticket at the ticket office or machine and go to the airport. By train

The most convenient and fastest way to get to Helsinki is a comfortable high-speed train. Travel time will be 27-30 minutes. Ticket price is 5 euros.

You can purchase train tickets at the airport:

• at the Alepa supermarket (terminal T2, arrival hall 2B);

Once off the plane, proceed to the train station from the arrivals hall, following the train signs. The entrance to the station is located in the passage between terminals T1 and T2. The passage is equipped with escalators and two elevators.

Passengers arriving in Helsinki at night will not be able to use the train: the first train leaves at 5 a.m., the last at midnight.

Please note that as of June 19, 2017, train tickets can no longer be purchased from the conductor. To avoid a fine (80 euros), buy your ticket in advance at the airport or online.

By bus

Regular buses will take you to Helsinki at any time of the day. You need buses number 615 to Central Station and number 617 to Hakaniemi Market Square (operates during peak hours from Monday to Friday). Travel time is 35-40 minutes. The cost of a ticket when purchased from the driver is 5.50 euros. In the machine – 5 euros. Night ticket (from 2.00 to 4.30) – 8 euros. The Finnair City Express bus takes you to Central Station. It departs from the airport every 20 minutes. The ticket price is 6.70 euros, if purchased online - 6.60 euros. How to get from Singapore airport to the center by bus

From Singapore Airport to the center you can take bus number 36. Stops are located in all three terminals; at the airport, follow the “Bus to city” sign.

Buses run from 6 am to 12 midnight every 8-12 minutes.

The fare for a regular ticket is 2.5 SGD, with an Ez-link card it is cheaper. Yes, if you pay in cash, the driver does not give change. So either have money ready without change, or buy a card first.

Singapore: how to get from the airport by shuttle bus

You can get from the airport to your pre-booked hotel by car. airport shuttle, i.e. shuttel bass. It runs around the clock every 15-30 minutes depending on the time of day. The cost is 9 SGD for an adult ticket and 6 SGD for a child.

The advantage of the shuttle bass is that it brings straight to the hotel! List of hotels that can be reached from the airport by shuttle. And this is the only transport (except taxi) where you can leave the airport at night.

The easiest and most convenient way to get to the center of the Spanish capital is to take the Airport Express bus. It connects Barajas International Airport with Madrid's main transport hub, the train station (Estación de Madrid Atocha).

If there are no traffic jams, the journey takes 30–40 minutes. A ticket for one trip costs €5, which can only be purchased from the driver. Banknotes over €20 are not accepted; you can pay with a contactless Visa or MasterCard. Baggage allowance is included in the ticket price.

You can take the Airport Express bus from terminals T4, T2 and T1 in the arrivals area (Llegadas) – 0 floor. The bus does not stop at T3 as it is an easy walk from T2.

During the day, the Airport Express bus follows line 203 with an interval of 15–20 minutes, at night it is renamed N27, and the interval between flights increases to 35 minutes.

The Exprés Aeropuerto bus runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, the Atocha stop is only open during the day from 06:00 to 23:30 hours. The rest of the time from 23:30 to 06:00 – the final stop of the bus will be (Prado – Plaza de Cibeles), where all night buses in Madrid intersect.

City buses are the cheapest

Bus 101 runs from terminals T1, T2 and T3 from the ground floor (arrival area) to the city center. Its final stop is Intercambiador Canillejas.

A ticket for 1 trip costs €1.50 and is sold from the driver. The maximum banknote is €5. There is no need to pay separately for luggage.

Metrobus passes for 10 trips are also accepted to pay for travel. They are sold at ticket offices or vending machines at any metro station or in tobacco kiosks in the city. For more information about tickets in Madrid, see.

Route 101 runs from Monday to Saturday from 06:00 to 23:25. On Sundays and holidays - from 07:30 to 23:25. The waiting time is 15–30 minutes.

Bus 200

The route passes through all 4 terminals and goes to the Avenida de América stop.

The fare is €1.50. The ticket is purchased from the driver upon boarding. It is worth taking care of small change in advance, since bills larger than €5 are not accepted. Baggage allowance is included in the ticket price.

Buses route 200 run at intervals of 12–20 minutes, starting from 05:00 in the morning until 23:30.

Renfe train, line C1 – the fastest

From terminal T4 to the center of Madrid there is the C1 train, which reaches the main railway station (Estación de Atocha) in 25 minutes, and to its final station Príncipe Pío in 38 minutes. Trains run every half hour from 05:58 to 22:27.

A train ticket costs €2.60. Sold at stations in ticket offices or vending machines. Keep your ticket until the end of your trip: it must be passed through the terminal both upon entry and exit.

The C1 train stop is only in terminal T4 on the ground floor - a commuter station. There is a free shuttle bus from terminals T1, T2 and T3 to terminal T4.

Metro line 8 runs from Barajas Airport to the center of Madrid. Trains run from 06:05 am to 01:30 am.

There are two stops at the airport:

• Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3 located in terminal T2 on the ground floor, from where you can walk to terminals T1 and T3;
• Aeropuerto T4 - in terminal T4 on the 1st floor.

The final station in the center of the capital is Nuevos Ministerios, the ride takes about 15 minutes.

Tickets are sold at ticket offices and vending machines located in the lobbies of any metro station. The average trip costs €4.5–5.
