Premiere of the film “Flight over Russia. Natural landscape park "Zaryadye" Opening hours and hours

On November 4, 2018, in the pavilion of the Media Center of Zaryadye Park (Moscow, Varvarka St., 6)) a presentation and press screening of the new film “Flying Over Russia” took place.

The “Polyot” media complex is a complex technological complex that consists of a movable support platform (39 seats) installed inside the projection surface. There are no analogues to it in Russia. Due to panoramic aerial photography, a dynamic platform, movable seats and a 13-meter hemispherical screen, the illusion of flight is created. Generators of wind, water spray and smells enhance the effect of presence in the sky. The “Flight” attraction was created with the participation of Dynamic Attractions (Canada) and KRAFTWERK (Austria), leading experts in the field of audio and visual effects, manufacturers of attractions for the best parks in the world.
The Polet media complex has already received international recognition within a year of operation and won the prestigious InAVation Awards 2018 in the Visitor Attraction category in Amsterdam.
The film “Flight over Russia” for the “Flight” media complex was created by the “Red Square” media group by order of the Moscow Department of Culture. A unique shooting technique made it possible to show the most beautiful natural and architectural sights of Russia from an unexpected angle.

This is the second film specially designed for the Polet Media Complex. The first film, “Flying Over Moscow,” which has been shown in Zaryadye Park for a year now, takes viewers over the Great Patriotic War memorial, Victory Park, over the Arc de Triomphe, a symbol of Russia’s victory in 1812; over the Crimean Bridge - the first long-span suspension bridge in Russia, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior - the main cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church and other key places in the capital. Unique filming equipment was developed for filming the film; Preparation for the filming process took five months, and filming lasted several weeks. To create the 8-minute film, the crew spent more than 50 hours in the air.
“Tourists usually visit “postcard” places in Moscow. When foreign tourists leave the “Flight over Moscow”, having seen more than a dozen locations that are completely unknown to them, they get a completely different impression. We showed those places that are located outside the Garden Ring: Kuskovo, Tsaritsino, Kolomenskoye. After this, tourists say: “Why haven’t we been here? We want to see it."
Often, even residents of our huge metropolis have no idea what beauties our city has. After watching the film, Kuskovo was a big surprise. For many Muscovites it was a discovery that this was not in St. Petersburg.

Open to visitors daily. On Mondays it is open from 14:40 to 18:40, and on other days from 13:00 to 18:40. This schedule will continue until the end of September.

And starting from October, “Polyot” will be open from 11:00 to 19:40 on all days of the week. Guests of the park will be able to attend screenings of the exciting eight-minute film “Flying Over Moscow” and see the huge metropolis from a bird’s eye view.

“You can examine in detail more than 20 iconic places and attractions of the capital from an unusual angle. For example, the flight passes through Red Square, Zaryadye Park, Alexander Garden, Tverskaya Street, New Arbat, Gorky Park, the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, Sparrow Hills and the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve,” said the chief architect of the city of Moscow and Head of the Zaryadye design team Sergei Kuznetsov.

In a unique cinema hall with a hemispherical screen 13 meters high, a dynamic platform on which 39 movable seats are located, and multi-channel surround sound, viewers are created the effect of being completely present in the most significant places of the city. Prices for film screenings of “Flight” will soon be published on the Zaryadye Park website.

“Visitors to the cinema seem to be flying over the Moscow Kremlin, monasteries and churches, new stadiums, highways, central streets, parks and public gardens. Thanks to various special effects - water splashes, wind, smells - the virtual journey turns into a bright, memorable show,” said Pavel Trekhleb, director of Zaryadye Park.

He also noted that another film, “Flying Over Russia,” is planned to be released this winter. In the same cinema hall, viewers will be able to travel through the most beautiful corners of the country.

The Media Center began operating on September 9, the opening day of Zaryadye Park. The pavilion houses the Polet media complex, which operated in test mode until September 19. There is also a media complex here, which began receiving visitors from the moment the pavilion opened. The interactive panorama broadcasts events in the history of Moscow from ancient times to the present day. Visitors to the media complex can witness the emergence of the Zaryadye district, the construction of the Kremlin, and the fire of Moscow in 1812.

Zaryadye Park is open every Monday from 14:00 to 22:00, the pavilions on this day are also open from 14:00. On other days it will be open from 10:00 to 22:00, pavilions - from 10:00 to 20:00. You can enter the park until 21:00.

What awaits you? A film that will show the most beautiful places in Russia in just 8 minutes (they were chosen from 50 hours of video material).

You will be able to see the weathered stone pillars of Man-Pupu-Ner in the Komi Republic, a unique landscape complex - Lena Pillars in Yakutia, the largest memorial complex in the world about the Great Patriotic War - Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd. Perhaps someone saw them, but not from a bird’s eye view, they say in Zaryadye.

I saw “Flying Over Moscow” and it’s fantastic - the capital is shown from unexpected sides, another reason to fall in love with your city. Therefore, I went with great interest to watch the new film “Flying Over Russia.” We assembled a group of 39 people. Everyone was seated in comfortable chairs, like in a movie theater, but fastened with belts, like on an airplane. Before our eyes we have a 13-meter hemispherical screen, creating the illusion of flight. We were warned that during the flight we would feel wind, smoke, and smells. The light went out and they “flew”.

The journey through the vast and vast Motherland begins right in Moscow from Zaryadye Park. It is from these seconds, when the Moscow River, the “floating bridge”, appears under your feet, that you forget that you are in an ordinary chair, it seems that you are flying in the cockpit of a helicopter. Moreover, there is no glass before your eyes, no restrictions at all. Hands are reaching out to touch familiar buildings, for example, the Moscow City Hall. And then there was a flight that no travel company could provide.

Of course, we were not “flying” in reality, but along the route that the copter took and filmed this film. But emotions simply overwhelmed you when you looked at the Genoese fortress, the top of Mount Ai-Petri and the Swallow's Nest in Crimea from above. At the same time, you hear the aromas of greenery and feel the coolness of the Black Sea. And then we seemed to fall from the dam of the Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power station, the largest power plant in terms of power, and went on a journey through the valley of geysers in Kamchatka. The most interesting thing is to try to see your native places.

Wow, this is ours! I’ve never seen the sculpture “The Motherland Calls!” from above like this,” said the girl in the next chair.

The film shows the most beautiful cities of the country - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi. And also the main water arteries of Russia - the longest and most abundant river Volga, the largest river in Siberia - Lena, Moscow City skyscrapers and the tallest building in Europe and Russia - the Ostankino TV tower.

As planned, we will present a new film about Russia on National Unity Day,” said Alexander Kibovsky, head of the Moscow Department of Culture, at the opening. - When we opened Zaryadye Park, our goal was to fill it with additional attractive objects. Then we opened the “Flying Over Moscow” attraction, which was already visited by 350 thousand people. We said that there will be more than one film. And now we are presenting a new one. In it we wanted to show not urban places, but amazing natural places in Russia. Many sites are not easy to visit - even difficult to get to. And in the film the effect is almost complete presence. We hope that the film will become a powerful driver for tourism in Russia.

The idea of the Zaryadye interactive park in the very center of Moscow was truly realized: it is distinguished by a wealth of multimedia content and technological solutions. One of the content creators was the Red Square company, solving several complex problems of creating content at a new level. The company’s creative team took on the shooting of unique immersive films “Flight over Moscow” and “Flight over Russia”, took part in the script and technological development of the “Time Machine” attraction, prepared the content of information kiosks and information screen systems for park visitors, as well as created a multimedia exhibition in the Zaryadye underground museum.

The greatest response from visitors and specialists was “Flying Over Moscow” - the first attraction film in Russia that allows you to experience the feeling of a real flight. The effect is achieved using unique video content that interacts with a special moving platform on which the spectator seats are fixed. Viewers buckle up as if on an airplane, finding themselves in front of a 13-meter panoramic screen. The platform follows the camera movements of the film, enhancing the first-person experience, while surround sound, water splashes and even different scents complete the effect. Departing from the center of Moscow, spectators fly over Red Square, Victory Park, Crimean Bridge, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Moscow City business complex, Luzhniki Stadium, VDNKh and other picturesque places of the city. In addition to “Flying Over Moscow,” this year park visitors will also see the film “Flying Over Russia.”

When preparing video material for the film, the Red Square team managed to meet the record deadline of four months of filming in order to be in time for the opening of the park. It was a time of difficult and intense work. In addition, the weather did not indulge in sunny days, so necessary for filming. The solution was technology and equipment that had not previously been used in Russia: special lenses for shooting and projection technology. To ensure a high level of camera work, Max Pinner, who shot “Flying Over the World” for Disneyland, was specially invited to the Red Square team.

During the official opening of the park, the premiere screening of the film “Flying Over Moscow” was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst.

Pavel Trekhleb, director of Zaryadye Park and an expert in the creation of theme parks, took an active part in the work of the creative team of the project and commented on the cooperation: “Working with the Red Square media holding turned out to be really fruitful, but the most important thing is its results. “Flying over Moscow” has become a truly large-scale and, I would even say, grandiose park project, which is very popular among our guests. When you see sparkling eyes and smiles on the faces of visitors to the media complex, and also hear words of gratitude for the film, it gives you strength to move on. Even native Muscovites, having visited the media complex, say that they have never seen such a capital before.”

“Our team is always ready to take on projects with complex technological solutions and ambitious creative tasks. Many years of experience in the field of multimedia content allows us to create projects that have not yet been done in our country, and to carry them out in the shortest possible time. We are the first in Russia to produce such a unique film in terms of technical parameters as “Flight Over Moscow.” And right away on such an important site, near Red Square. Zaryadye Park has become a unique challenge for us - after all, it is in the center of attention of the whole country. We confidently coped with this and are proud of such a high quality of work in the field of multimedia,” said Ilya Krivitsky, General Director of the Red Square Group of Companies.

Together with the Polet media complex, the Time Machine media hall was created in the park. This is a cinema hall with a 360-degree screen, where surround sound, projections on the walls and floor immerse the viewer, located in the center, into the world of ancient Moscow. The Red Square team took an active part in creating the concept, scenario plan and developing the equipment technological diagram together with Channel One specialists. Visitors to the attraction are transported back in time and become participants in events in the history of Moscow from ancient times to the present day.

Another project has also been implemented at Zaryadye - creating content for information kiosks and media surfaces of the park. There are 19 information kiosks installed throughout the territory, which provide assistance in navigation and purchasing tickets. For them, as part of this project, unique software was developed, filled with information and educational content. In the first month of operation of the information kiosks alone, users viewed more than 250 thousand pages with information about the park’s facilities and events.

The park, with its landscape areas characteristic of different regions of Russia, represents the country in miniature. To complement this impression, unique mesmerizing footage of animals, birds, fish, plants, and landscapes was shot during the expeditions. The quality of video content was strictly controlled, which made it possible to display videos on large screens with 4K resolution.

An interactive stand has also been developed - a video wall in the lobby of the media center with the ability to demonstrate videos on it in 360-degree format, as well as other interactive content, for example, a historical panorama drawn by professional artists, or an architectural kaleidoscope.

The historical panorama allows visitors to see not only those existing today, but also lost buildings and structures located in close proximity to the park, and the architectural kaleidoscope will allow them to view the sights of Moscow from different angles using virtual 3D models.

Also noteworthy is the module of information kiosks “Moscow Transformed” - to create it, “Red Square”, in collaboration with the State Historical Museum, created interactive collages showing how not only various buildings, but also entire districts of Moscow have changed over the years. It is planned to expand the functionality of the information kiosks by adding the ability to send video postcards, view and download excursion routes around Moscow and other useful functions.

Red Square, together with experienced specialists from the Historical Reconstruction company, took part in the creation of the Zaryadye Underground Museum, built around a part of the Kitai-Gorod wall discovered during excavations. The museum tells about the way of life in ancient Moscow. The company was faced with the task of providing a multimedia component of the exhibition - projections, interactive installations, holograms - about 15 objects in total. Many of them are created for children to introduce them to the history of the city in a playful way. Children and adults will be able to “dress up as a merchant” or “find a treasure”, hear about the museum’s exhibits from the lips of a merchant and an archer, “come to life” thanks to projection technologies.

The 3D projection of a dress from that era, found during excavations, deserves special attention - it can now be viewed from all sides without fear of damaging the ancient exhibit. The complexity of the work lay not only in the use of a variety of computer technologies, but also in the need for special careful treatment of archaeological finds.

Thanks to multimedia technologies, Zaryadye has become a new generation park and the largest technology park of such a high level in Russia.
