1. Blankenese area, metro S1/S11. This is the most beautiful, absolutely original old district of the city, located near the Elbe. Previously, it was a fishing village, which gradually turned into one of the favorite vacation spots of the townspeople. The entire Elbe embankment from the fish market (Fischmarkt), where, by the way, young people go after the night on the Ripperbahn (this is nearby) and to Hafen City, certainly deserves attention for its architecture and beautiful views of the port docks and various ships, Firstly! You can ride on the Elbe on modern small ferries - it's very invigorating! There you can also take a sightseeing tour on a steamboat along the Elbe, the docks and the world-wide storage area (Speichestadt).

Where to eat? I recommend a very authentic fish restaurant located on the most beautiful pedestrian street Colonnaden 104 (this is the very center, the nearest metro station is U1 Stefansplatz). It's called "Fishfeinkost Delikatessen des Meers". The restaurant is over 100 years old, it is tiny, if the weather allows, try to sit outside. There is always only one dish on the menu (dish of the day, every day is different, of course). It costs 6.50€, the plate is huge, delicious is crazy! It's always a fish dish, usually with a powerful garnish backing! You can order wine for dinner, there is nothing else on the menu. You need to order and pick up lunch at the restaurant itself. They will also tell you after which bell (bell) to come for your portion.

5. A great option is to rent a sailboat / boat / catamaran / kayak / SUP and enjoy the beauty and nature of the city from the water surface. Usually tourists are limited only to walks on small steamboats, which is also beautiful, but banal and unsportsmanlike. There is an active cultural life there, especially in terms of contemporary and street art, theatre, avant-garde music and various underground art practices. But all this is difficult to penetrate if you come for a couple of days or a week.

And so - take a walk around the Alster Lake, see the town hall, Speicherstadt, the Miniatur-Wunderland toy museum (it’s really great, and children can easily spend a day there): there are working models of literally everything that has been created by civilization, everything moves, makes sounds, everything headlights work, even planes naturally fly.
