Aeroflot weight limit. Aeroflot: baggage allowance (free of charge). Standards for the carriage of hand luggage and baggage in the company "Aeroflot". The values of baggage parameters are

» - inquire about baggage and carry-on baggage in advance. Avianiti briefly talks about the main requirements of the main Russian airline for passengers' luggage.

The carriage of luggage and hand luggage is included in all Aeroflot airfare, the differences are only in the number of pieces and weight of luggage. For example, in a cheap promotional fare, you can carry only one piece of baggage, and in business class, two or three pieces, depending on the direction. Aeroflot recommends that customers study information about ticket fares and baggage before purchasing air tickets.

Excess baggage is subject to additional charges. Aeroflot will carry it on the condition that there will be free space on the plane after loading the passengers' belongings. If you plan to carry oversized baggage weighing from 32 to 50 kg and larger than 203 cm during your trip, please notify the airline 36 hours before the flight departure. Any excess and oversized baggage must be agreed with the airline and receive permission and confirmation of carriage from it. Otherwise, there will be no place for your luggage.

Payment for excess baggage is possible only at the check-in counters at the airport.

Requirements for hand luggage

Aeroflot airlines allow hand luggage items weighing up to 10 kg and up to 115 cm in size in the sum of three changes in economy class, up to 15 kg in business class. In addition, a passenger can take additional personal items into the cabin of the aircraft, they are not weighed and are not registered at the check-in counter.

For the safety of things carried in the cabin, only the passenger is responsible.

Aeroflot Airlines takes into account baggage according to special rules, while being one of the most famous Russian carriers. This company has certain requirements for luggage that are on board aircraft during flights.

Definition of baggage

Passengers take certain things with them on board the aircraft. All this is subject to sorting for the purpose of verification, careful transportation that does not interfere with other passengers, and subsequently handed over to the owner. All baggage can be divided into two parts, which is indicated by the terms:

  1. Hand luggage. These are things that a passenger can bring into the cabin of the aircraft and leave there until the end of the flight.
  2. Baggage. A bag, suitcase or other container that is handed over to employees upon check-in at the airport.

Aeroflot requirements for hand luggage

Aeroflot is one of the most loyal companies that have low requirements for hand luggage. Each passenger can carry up to 10 kg of hand luggage into the aircraft cabin, and people who have bought a business class ticket have the right to take up to 15 kg of hand luggage with them. The restriction is the maximum dimensions inherent in the items of hand luggage. The three sides of objects together cannot exceed 115 cm.

In addition to the main carry-on baggage included in the above parameters, each passenger can additionally take the following items with them:

  1. with small dimensions and without protruding parts. Men can take a special briefcase, which should also be of moderate size and fit on the back. Large travel briefcases are out of place.
  2. It can not be placed in other containers, but left in the hands.
  3. Umbrella. Any variety of this item is available in length and width. The exception is the beach umbrella.
  4. Cane or crutches.
  5. Flowers. You can even take a large bouquet, but there should not be a strong smell.
  6. Outerwear is brought in in moderation with virtually no size restrictions.
  7. Digital devices. You can freely carry a camera, laptop, as well as a phone, even a professional video camera.
  8. Printed products, as passengers can read on the road.
  9. Baby food if you are bringing a small child with you.
  10. A container for placing a small child, such as a cradle.
  11. Clothes in a bag. Usually a dress or a business suit is placed there.
  12. Any purchases from Duty Free.

Features of baggage transportation

Many passengers choose Aeroflot. Baggage is an integral part of the flight, so a few years ago, its leaders decided to simplify the rules for carrying luggage. This action is not recognized as successful, since a large number of passengers have a lot of questions, dissatisfaction, and incomprehensible details have come to light that need to be resolved in each specific case. Previously, a simple weight system was used. If the luggage exceeded the required parameters, you had to pay extra for its transportation. At the moment, the calculation is based on the number of seats. Now, along with the weight, workers calculate this indicator.

What is free baggage allowance on an airplane? Aeroflot has introduced several nominal values:

  1. Economy class at the standard fare is available one seat, it is allowed to carry luggage with a total weight of up to 23 kg.
  2. Economy class, the ticket for which is purchased at the rates "Premium Economy", "Premium Comfort", provides for two pieces of luggage. On each of them, Aeroflot also regulates the weight of luggage, so it should not exceed 23 kg.
  3. Business class allows you to slightly increase the weight up to 32 kg, but leaves the right to 2 seats.

Exceptions to the rules

When flying between the United States (excluding Miami), the Middle and Far East, Asia (excluding the Russian Federation and some other countries), Africa, India in economy class seats, passengers can take 2 pieces of baggage at a standard 23 kg each. The Aeroflot company allows you to store luggage in excellent conditions and offers many programs, with the participation of which people can take an extra seat for things absolutely free.

It should be remembered that in addition to weight, the restriction also applies to dimensions, so before collecting all the luggage, you should check whether it meets the permissible standards. A suitcase, bag or other container is measured by three parameters, which usually include length, height and width. Then the received information is summarized. The resulting value should not exceed 158 cm, otherwise you need to make an additional payment. From this aspect, you can see how much Aeroflot controls luggage.

Baggage rules for passengers with children

Children aged 2-12 are entitled to carry the same amount of baggage as adults. When a flight is carried out with an infant, that is, with a person under 2 years old, a person has the right to take a separate piece of baggage. At the same time, things put in it should not exceed 10 kg in total, and the total dimensions of the three sides should not exceed 115 cm, that is, the weight of luggage on an Aeroflot aircraft is clearly normalized.

Paid baggage transportation on Aeroflot flights

Exceeding at least one parameter for free baggage transportation obliges a person to pay for the possibility of a flight with all the necessary things. If the weight of either an individual bag has become higher than the allotted norm, it is necessary to return the things to the escorts or pay for their transportation, so the decision should be made quickly, which is regulated by the rules of the Aeroflot company. Hand luggage is the most problematic part of the flight.

Excess baggage by number of pieces

To better understand this aspect, we can imagine an example situation. A person flies with two suitcases weighing 10 kg and 13 kg. If he is in economy class and does not use special programs, an excess in the number of seats is recorded. It does not matter that Aeroflot recognizes the total weight of luggage as acceptable, since two bags or suitcases nominally occupy exactly two places.

To get out of this situation, you need to purchase an additional seat. Depending on the country from which the flight is made, a person will be forced to pay 50 euros or 50 dollars. When a ticket is purchased at the Premium Economy or Comfort fares, as well as when flying in business class, the third seat will cost 150 euros or dollars. These tariffs were developed by Aeroflot specialists. Luggage is stored in excellent conditions.

Overweight

It is very easy to explain this aspect. When a person travels with a suitcase or bag in economy class, the total weight of which, together with the contents, is more than 23 kg, an excess weight fee must be paid.

Even if the passenger is entitled to two seats, and he has only one bag, he will have to pay extra. For business class, this limit rises to 32 kg, but if it is exceeded, you will also have to pay separately for the opportunity to transport things when flying on airplanes from Aeroflot. Baggage rules allow you to carry only according to established standards.

Previously, when fixing an overweight, a person had to pay extra for each extra kilogram. At the moment, these rules have changed. The excess is paid in the amount of $ 50, and its size is not important. When flying in business class, a person must pay an extra $ 100.

In order not to get into unpleasant and unexpected situations, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the rules of baggage transportation before the flight and take all necessary actions in advance, prepare to comply with the requirements.

Issues related to baggage allowed for air transport are quite exciting for many. After all, the rules are constantly changing, some of them are being tightened. And for many passengers, the size of luggage on the plane is of fundamental importance. Therefore, it is worthwhile to study the issue in advance, so that later on the delivery of bags in luggage and when weighing hand luggage there are no serious problems.

Today, carriers use two systems, taken as the main ones, which allow for the final settlement of the transportation of bags and suitcases. This:

  1. Weight system
  2. By number of seats

The first option is often used on flights that depart through the CIS countries and Asia.

An important point in the measurement system is the allowable weight, i.e. one that is free of charge. The gradation of the number of kilograms directly depends on the ticket class. The following rules apply today:

  • 20 kg per passenger in economy class
  • 30 kg - in business
  • 10 kg per child up to 2 years

In the first system for calculating how much luggage you can take on board, the following principle works - a passenger can take as many bags as they like, but their weight should not exceed the allowable standard. You will have to pay for all the extra pounds.

The second system implies that the minimum free kilograms must be packed in only one bag or two, if it is provided by the class of the ticket. That is, if the suitcase is filled with 10 kg, it will already take up the allowable number of seats, and for the second suitcase or travel bag that is not related to hand luggage, even if it is filled with 5 kilograms, you still have to pay. This calculation option is used for the most part in America. Of the Russian companies, Aeroflot recently introduced a similar scheme. In such a calculation system, the bonus is the fact that there is a little more free baggage allowance:

  • For the economy - 23 kg
  • For business - 32 kg

It is important to understand here that if passengers go on a trip together, their baggage cannot be summed up. Everyone is responsible for himself. As a result, if the bottom one has an advantage, and the other one has a shortage of kilograms in a suitcase, the first one will have to pay extra for the excess.

There is also a bonus for regular customers of the airline - they are provided with benefits on membership cards and for miles in the form of providing an additional number of seats on board the aircraft, or the option of adding a kilogram to the total weight of luggage is allowed.

Luggage dimensions

Baggage dimensions, even for transportation in a special compartment of the aircraft, must be taken into account. So, it is considered standard and acceptable for transportation without any additional procedures, except for weighing, a suitcase, which in the sum of its width, length and height is 1.58 m. This measure is valid for a system that takes into account the number of seats. In the weight system, this indicator should be equal to 2.03 m.

If your luggage goes beyond the limits, for example, you are taking skis, a bicycle and other oversized items with you, they will have to be checked in at a separate counter, and in some cases you will have to pay extra. The luggage on the plane in terms of size and weight in 2018 has the same parameters, but it is worth remembering that the situation may change.

After all, the principles for determining the baggage allowed on board are determined by the carrier itself. And you should regularly look through the relevant section on the airline's website or call the hotline so as not to get into a mess.

Excess baggage

Baggage, which by weight or number of seats exceeds the norms stipulated by the ticket, is called excess baggage. And in most cases you will have to pay extra for it. There are, of course, carriers that allow a small excess - a kilogram or two - without surcharge. But for the most part, for every kilogram in excess, you will have to give money. The cost of excess baggage varies from carrier to carrier. It is worth clarifying in advance how much money you will have to pay for an overabundance of things, if there is no opportunity or desire to lay out the excess.

Heavy baggage

Special attention is paid to luggage that weighs over 30-32 kg. This is called heavyweight. This includes those options that go beyond the allowable dimensions:

  • Skis and sports equipment
  • Musical instruments such as guitar or double bass
  • Appliances such as oven or refrigerator

Such goods can only be transported by agreement with the carrier - he should be notified in advance. On the day of departure, you must arrive in advance, because. the check-in of such baggage takes some additional time. At the same time, it should be understood that the air carrier may refuse to carry baggage, for example, if the baggage compartments are small or there is no more space in them.

Fragile luggage

There is a need to carry fragile luggage - glass, decor elements, paintings, etc. In this case, you will also have to draw it up separately and put an appropriate mark on the cargo. If the baggage fits the dimensions of hand luggage, the best solution would be to carry it with you into the cabin - this will ensure the integrity of things.

The issue of carrying hand luggage in 2018 does not lose its relevance. Moreover, the data on it is constantly changing. The amendments made to the law are now working. Previously, up to 10 kg of free weight was included in hand luggage, now from 5. But at the same time, air carriers independently determine how much weight they are allowed to carry on board. Thus, the country's major airlines said they would remain at 10 for the time being, both for regular tickets and for non-refundable ones.

In general, on average, there are such options for carrying hand luggage:

  • In business class - 1 seat weighing 15 kg
  • Economy - 1 piece 10 kg

It is important to take into account the dimensions of the bag so that it fits all the restrictions. So, hand luggage should be packed in a bag 55 cm high, 40 cm wide, 20 cm thick. Some carriers, such as Aeroflot, plan to check the compliance with the dimensions using special limiting frames, which will allow you to immediately determine all the necessary parameters.

We take to the salon without registration

Hand luggage and other baggage options include the following items:

  • Costume
  • Laptop
  • Video and photo cameras
  • Mobile phone
  • Books, newspapers and magazines
  • Outerwear
  • Ladies handbag
  • Briefcase
  • Cane and crutches
  • Umbrella

You can also take with you to the salon, without making out in any way, baby food and a baby carrier.

Packing hand luggage

As hand luggage in the cabin of the aircraft are issued:

  • Glasses repair tools
  • pacemaker
  • Pharmaceutical devices that you are allowed to keep only with you
  • robot toys
  • Razors
  • Eyelash curlers
  • Oxygen cylinders for medical purposes, etc.

Carefully study the baggage allowance so that there are no troubles with their transportation. And if you have any doubts about this or that piece of luggage, it is better to arrive at the airport in advance in order to arrange everything correctly, pay or set aside the excess.

For those who are not aware of the tragedy of a universal scale, or simply do not fly on airplanes, a brief digression into history:

On February 15, 2018, Aeroflot Airlines suddenly tightened free shipping rules hand luggage, reducing its allowable dimensions.

Some readers will not even understand why there is such a panic: well, just think, they removed some few centimeters. But in fact, thousands of travelers around the world found themselves in an unpleasant situation.

What are the new rules that everyone is discussing?

According to the new rules of Aeroflot, the height of hand luggage has decreased from 25 to 20 cm, and also reduced the number of items that could be carried in the hands if they did not fit in hand luggage.

What can be carried on the Aeroflot plane in the hands, in addition to hand luggage:

  • briefcase
  • handbag
  • bouquet of flowers
  • outerwear
  • suit in a suitcase
  • baby food for the baby during the flight
  • crutches, canes, walkers, rollators, folding wheelchair
  • medicines in the amount required for the duration of the flight
  • additional backpack weighing up to 5 kg and dimensions not exceeding 80 cm
  • folding baby stroller weighing no more than 7 kg and dimensions no more than 42x50x20cm
  • goods purchased in Duty Free ( one sealed plastic bag, with dimensions not exceeding 115 cm)

What has become impossible to carry:

  • Photo equipment, camera, lenses
  • laptops

According to international standards, the size of one free piece of baggage (backpack, bag, briefcase or suitcase) that you can take with you to the aircraft cabin is 55x40x25 cm with a total weight of up to 10 kg for economy class.

Such dimensions allow you to carefully fill the luggage rack above the three seats, at the rate of one passenger in the seat - one piece of luggage for hand luggage.

So almost all manufacturing companies produce bags and suitcases of exactly this size for flights in the cabin. And at Aeroflot, all of a sudden, in an instant, these dimensions became invalid. And in the cabin with a suitcase standard size it became impossible to pass.

20 cm height limit ( and even less) is found at low-cost airlines - airlines that save on everything for the sake of a favorable price for their tickets.

But Aeroflot is far from a low-cost airline, and no one expected such a trick from the oldest national air carrier.

What to do if hand luggage does not meet the requirements

Airports have special "calibrators" - metal baskets in which you can put your luggage if you are not sure if it is the right size for flying in the cabin, and not in the luggage compartment.

So, Aeroflot employees meticulously force many passengers to check their backpacks and bags, right in front of the check-in counters for flights. If the suitcase does not fit into the calibrator, or sticks out of it, there are two ways out:

1. Check in baggage. Yes, yes, all the delicate equipment that you want to carefully carry on a cozy shelf above the chair is offered to be given into the rough hands of airport workers. It's like playing roulette: you might get lucky with neat movers, or maybe not ( more often no).

2. Pay extra for oversized hand luggage. This option is preferable, although it can plunge you into a slight confusion: prices range from 5,000 rubles for flights within our country, to 150 dollars (or euros) for flights abroad, if the sum of hand luggage dimensions exceeds 203 cm.

Any chance of slipping through with my bag?

You can try to squeeze your bag into the "calibrator" if the bag or backpack is soft. That's how I got through with my secure backpack, which was ugly bloated with a sweater stored there in case of cold weather in Barcelona.

An Aeroflot employee found my backpack to be oversized, so I was politely asked to check it for size. The check was successful, the backpack fit in the iron container, and I was allowed to board the plane.

If your backpack doesn’t fit into the “calibrator” in any way, you can pull out some of the things and put them in a bag or a soft backpack. I always carry with me such a fabric backpack inside the main one - it takes up little space, but it can come in handy at any moment far from home.

According to the rules, the passenger is entitled to an additional backpack ( or package), which does not exceed 80 cm in total dimensions and weighs up to 5 kg.

Thus, it is possible to outwit the system, and not check in hand luggage as luggage. Approaches to "calibrators" are not limited - you can combine things, check and combine again.

Is the difference of 5 centimeters insignificant? No matter how!

Most suitcase manufacturing companies have in their lineup a special line of " cabin luggage”: these are suitcases, bags or backpacks that comply with generally accepted dimensions for unhindered travel in the cabin of an aircraft.

Only now Aeroflot has dimensions decreased by 5 centimeters in height. As a result, angry posts on social networks, scandals, tantrums, spent nerves and money, and as a result, a negative attitude towards the airline, up to threats of boycott.

It's good that Aeroflot changed their minds. Just the other day, the conditions for carrying hand luggage have changed again on the official website: the company has returned the generally accepted dimensions of 55x40x23-25 cm. True, without official statements.

But what to do in order not to get on the money right before the flight? You need to buy the right suitcase that will pass any “calibration” test without any problems and fit in the luggage rack.

And there are suitcases. They cost adequate money, contain enough things and save the passenger's nerves.

Choose what you want. All is good.

With any suitcase from this collection, you can confidently go straight to the plane, no one will say a word. Until some Aeroflot quietly changes the established standards again, of course.

1. Embossed suitcase with an unusual lid

2. Aluminum and lightweight Xiaomi 90FUN

3. Durable and cheap WOVELOT suitcase

4. Stylish and spectacular Y-ROAD TRAVEL Business

5. Compact bag on wheels from Y-ROAD TRAVEL

Aeroflot is one of the most popular Russian companies. Thousands of passengers fly by its planes every day. To make your trip go smoothly, I recommend that you check the baggage rules with the airline in advance. I have collected all the norms and dimensions of Aeroflot in one article.

When setting their own baggage rules, airlines are guided by the general ones, which establish a minimum amount of transported volume. Most recently, airlines have been allowed to introduce no-baggage fares and carry 5 kg hand luggage for free. For the transportation of things from above - you can legally charge an additional fee. Aeroflot decided not to follow the path of higher fares and left its fares and baggage allowance at the same level. This distinguishes it favorably from the Pobeda airline, which maximally limited the conditions for the transportation of things. I already told you which ones.

The basic baggage rules for Aeroflot airlines are as follows:

  1. All baggage (including hand luggage that the passenger takes into the cabin of the aircraft) must be presented at check-in for the flight;
  2. It must be marked with special tags;
  3. On all flights of the airline, a piece baggage system is installed. In simple words, this means that one piece of luggage = 1 suitcase (bag). Even if its weight is less than the allowable one, you will not be allowed to carry the second one for free;
  4. The number of pieces of baggage depends on the class of service and the type of fare used;
  5. To find out how many pieces of baggage your ticket includes, look at the numbers on it - 1rs, 2rs, 3rs. The figure also renders the number of bags or suitcases that you can carry for free;
  6. If the total weight of the passenger's luggage, including hand luggage, is less than 10 kg, the number of pieces is not limited;
  7. It often happens that Aeroflot operates codeshare flights with partners. In this situation, different en-route baggage allowances determined by the dominant carrier may apply.
  8. On codeshare flights operated by Aurora and Rossiya airlines, the same rules apply as on Aeroflot flights. The exception is Aurora flights: SU3630-3639, SU4526-4545, SU4591-4629, for which the baggage allowance is one piece for all fare groups.

Aeroflot baggage allowance and dimensions

All baggage that a passenger takes with him on Aeroflot aircraft is divided into:

  • Checked baggage (the baggage that is checked in at check-in)
  • Hand luggage (taken in the cabin)

On airline flights, regardless of class, the following dimensions apply:

  1. for checked baggage, the dimensions must be no more than 158 cm in the sum of three dimensions;
  2. for hand luggage, the dimensions must be no more than 115 cm in the sum of three dimensions.

The free baggage allowance varies depending on the class of service and the selected fare. The minimum weight of baggage on an airplane per person in Aeroflot in 2017 in economy class (excluding premium fares) is:

  • checked baggage 1 piece up to 23 kg;
  • hand luggage 1 piece up to 10 kg.

Business class allowed

  • checked baggage for two pieces of 32 kg each;
  • hand luggage 1 piece no more than 15 kg.

The picture is clickable. Click to enlarge.

For children from 2 to 12 years old, Aeroflot aircraft have the same baggage allowance as for adult passengers.

For infants under 2 years of age (who did not purchase a ticket for a separate seat), the free baggage allowance is 1 piece weighing no more than 10 kg with a sum of three dimensions no more than 115 cm. This procedure applies regardless of the class of service.

Special baggage allowance

In some cases, Aeroflot may establish special baggage allowances. For example, the airline has increased the number of seats allowed on certain routes or introduced privileges for members of the Aeroflot Bonus loyalty program.

What is allowed and prohibited to be carried on an airplane in luggage

In checked baggage you are allowed to carry:

  • crossbows, spearguns, checkers, sabers, cleavers, scimitars, broadswords, swords, swords, bayonets, daggers, knives with ejected blades, with locking locks, imitators of any type of weapon;
  • household knives (scissors) with a blade (blade) length over 60 mm;
  • alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of more than 24%, but not more than 70% alcohol by volume in containers with a capacity of not more than 5 liters, in containers intended for retail trade - not more than 5 liters per passenger;
  • liquids and alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of not more than 24% by volume;
  • aerosols intended for use in sports or domestic purposes, the outlet valves of which are protected by caps from spontaneous release of contents in containers with a capacity of not more than 0.5 kg or 500 ml - not more than 2 kg or 2 liters per passenger;
  • medical thermometer containing mercury, in a standard case - one per passenger.

Prohibited for transportation in baggage are, first of all, hazardous substances that can harm other passengers or the aircraft. For example, explosive or flammable agents. The greatest restrictions apply to the transport of things in hand luggage. You can clearly see what is allowed and prohibited to be carried on an Aeroflot plane in the diagram below.

Surcharge for overweight baggage

If your baggage exceeds the allowed weight or the number of pieces established in accordance with the selected fare, you will have to pay extra. So the payment for an additional piece of luggage on domestic flights will be 2500 rubles, and on international flights the price depends on the country (from 2975 rubles to 6900 rubles). It should be noted that every third and subsequent bags (suitcases) will cost many times more. Aeroflot also takes an extra charge for exceeding the size by the sum of three dimensions. To avoid unnecessary payments, plan your baggage in advance, both in terms of weight and dimensions. The excess baggage allowance is an additional cost. The price of the excess baggage allowance depends on whether you are flying on a domestic or international flight. For more details on the cost of the surcharge, see the table.

Click on the picture to enlarge

If the free baggage allowance is exceeded in several categories (for example, the number of pieces and dimensions), the sum of the relevant baggage rates is applied for excess payment.

Oversized baggage

Oversized baggage on Aeroflot flights is baggage that weighs more than 32 kg (but not more than 50 kg) and/or the sum of three dimensions exceeds 203 cm. It is also called heavy baggage. The transportation of such cargo must be coordinated with the airline no later than 36 hours before the flight departure.

Skis

On Aeroflot flights, the following ski equipment is included in the ticket price and is regarded as one piece of baggage: a bag with 1 pair of skis and 1 pair of poles + 1 piece of baggage with a pair of boots (or 1 bag with a pair of water skis). If the sum of the passenger's baggage items and their weight do not exceed the parameters specified in the ticket, then no additional payment will be required for the transportation of ski equipment.

Snowboarding

The carriage of one snowboard in one bag and one piece of luggage with a pair of boots is included in the ticket price.

Bicycle transportation

According to the rules of the airline, you can transport a bicycle prepared for transportation as baggage. It will fit one piece of luggage. If you don't have any more checked baggage, or if your rate includes 2 or more pieces, you'll be able to take your bike for free.

Transportation of fishing rods

Fishing equipment is transported packed in one container or case. One piece of luggage corresponds to 2 fishing rods or 1 set of tackle.

For more information about the rules for carrying sports equipment, see the photos.

Other sports equipment not listed in the table counts as one piece of baggage and is included in the free carriage allowance.

Rules for transporting weapons on Aeroflot aircraft

A weapon (one item or a special container for transportation with several weapons belonging to one passenger) and one piece of baggage with ammunition for it are considered one piece of baggage. If the baggage allowance established by the tickets is not exceeded, then you will not need to pay extra for transportation. However, if the allowable weight is exceeded, then payment will be required. The gross weight of the ammunition may not exceed 5 kilograms. It is forbidden to transport weapons and ammunition in one container. Cartridges for gas weapons are also prohibited from being transported. Transportation of weapons is carried out in a discharged state.

When transporting weapons through the territory of the Russian Federation, a passenger needs a permit for the right to store and carry weapons. When importing or exporting abroad or transporting through the territory of Russia, the passenger must have a permit for the import or export of weapons issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. When flying with a transfer, the weapon must be re-registered.

Weapon simulators are not allowed to be transported in the aircraft cabin. They must be checked in as baggage.

For the carriage of firearms, it is necessary to coordinate it with the carrier no more than 36 hours before the flight departure time. To check in for a flight, a passenger transporting weapons must arrive 1.5 hours before departure.

Transportation of musical instruments

On Aeroflot aircraft, musical instruments can be transported both in the aircraft cabin and in baggage.

  1. In the cabin - the weight of the tool should not exceed 80 kg, and the dimensions should correspond to the dimensions of 135x50x30. In this case, the rules for carrying baggage carried in the passenger seat apply.
  2. In the luggage compartment, the general rules for the carriage of checked and excess baggage apply.

For the carriage of musical instruments, prior agreement with the airline is required no later than 36 hours before the flight departure.

Wheelchair, pram, guide dog

A wheelchair, pram and guide dog are carried on Aeroflot aircraft free of charge if used by a passenger.

In addition to a wheelchair, you can carry a special-purpose wheelchair free of charge. For transportation of an overall wheelchair powered by batteries and weighing more than 32 kg, an agreement with the carrier is required no more than 36 hours before the flight departure.
