Yeltsin center for industrial tourism. The director of Ural Music Night criticized the tourism board for supporting mowers and redheads. Ural is the center of the industry

URAL IS THE CENTER OF INDUSTRY

In the BarBoris restaurant in the Yeltsin Center, a man in a good business suit steals a glance at his watch. The minute hand approaches 14:00 hours. He throws a few words at his companions. And the company moves to the adjacent hall of the center. In the congress hall, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Roman Skory is immediately invited to the stage. He was honored to open the First Industrial Tourism Conference of the Russian Federation as part of the largest tourism exhibition EXPOTRAVEL-2017.

– I have never been to the Yeltsin Center. My acquaintance with him began with a restaurant, - Roman Skory admitted to the public. – And since we are talking about the hospitality industry, the food here is very tasty! As for our conference, this is the beginning of a long journey for the development of industrial tourism in the Urals. Popularization of enterprises, factories is a huge contribution to the recognition of the Ural region!

Excursions to operating enterprises have recently become a real trend. People from all over the world dream of visiting the Cadbury chocolate factory in England. Not without reason, excursions bring her more money than selling chocolate. There are a lot of people who want to walk around the Toyota concern in Japan, where the best-selling cars are assembled. But the Urals in this sense is a real storehouse of amazing enterprises. We have UMMC, UVZ, and NTMK, NPO Automation.

THE SCALE IS AMAZING

An impressive howitzer on the screen is replaced by the pride of the Soviet army - T-34 tanks, followed by shots with fighters and bombers. This is the UMMC presenting its museum of military equipment to the audience in the congress hall of the Yeltsin Center.

An important component of attracting tourists is uniqueness, - says Evgeny Bragin, Deputy General Director of UMMC-Holding OJSC. - We conducted a comparative analysis of similar museums. And our museum complex is the only one in the world that has so many exhibits! But we have built only a third of the museum. The plans include the construction of an automobile hangar, an aviation complex, a parade crew museum. Up to 200,000 people visit our museum annually. Moreover, our advertising budget is zero.

According to Yevgeny Bragin, these figures could be even higher if the infrastructure is properly built. In particular, today there are no buses or trams that will directly take tourists from Yekaterinburg to Verkhnyaya Pyshma.

There is a tram line project, but when will it be implemented? the speaker asks. - A tourist who comes to Yekaterinburg for three days must clearly allocate his time. In addition, each object must have an internal infrastructure. Personally, we will improve parking, catering. Thirdly, there should be independent places of visit next to the industrial facility. And the fourth is activities. Our military parade on May 9 attracted 20,000 visitors to the museum in one day!

THE BRILLIANT OF INDUSTRIAL TOURISM

Neighbors from the Chelyabinsk region did not lag behind. There are also enough unique productions in the Southern Urals. The most impressive of them is the shop of the Chelyabinsk pipe-rolling plant Vysota 239. The first shop in Russia for the production of white metallurgy. No soot, gray gloomy walls and smoking chimneys. The enterprise is more like a museum of modern art. A corridor in the form of a pipe leads inside. The walls are hung with paintings. In the hall there is a winter garden where flowers and trees grow. On the roof is a rock garden…

The plant "Vysota 239" is recognized as a diamond of industrial tourism in Russia! - Proudly declared the Deputy Minister of the Chelyabinsk region Georgy Tsukerman. - In addition, on November 9 and 10, the Forum of International Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan will be held in Chelyabinsk at the site of the Conor industrial enterprise with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin. The forum will host an industrial exhibition that will demonstrate our enterprises from an unusual perspective. We hope that the forum will help us popularize working professions and establish tourism cooperation with neighboring regions.

Interregional routes, according to the deputy minister, are one of the leading directions that will make industrial tourism successful. In this regard, the politician mentioned the Ural Tourist Destination project, which unites the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions.

We do not want a tourist to come to us for 20 minutes, - added Georgy Tsukerman. - Our task is to offer not only industrial tourism, but also event, ecological and any other tourism. So we need to work together!

YELTSIN CENTER IS A HIGH LEVEL

Representatives of Kaliningrad, Tula, Kurgan and other regions also participated in the first conference on industrial tourism.

Many of them came to the Yeltsin Center for the first time.

We thought that a good federal-scale event should be held in the heart of Yekaterinburg. Therefore, a convenient, modern and technically equipped Yeltsin Center was chosen, - explains the executive director of the Ural Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev. - We had guests from 4 countries and 17 regions of our country. High-ranking officials, representatives of the consulates general. It is very convenient that the Yeltsin Center had the opportunity to give our participants a tour of the Museum of the first President Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin.

The guests were shown the Chaika car, in which the first secretary of the regional committee, Yeltsin, traveled around the Sverdlovsk region, as well as the nuclear suitcase that Boris Nikolayevich carried with him when he was already president.

“This is the only case that such an artifact was exhibited in a public museum,” the employees of the Yeltsin Center reassured. - All the electronic stuffing from it, of course, was removed.

In addition, those who wish were able to visit Newton Park and the exhibition "Associates" - one of the few Russian projects that are intended not only for hearing and seeing people, but also for those who are limited in this.

The founding conference of the Council for the Development of Industrial Tourism in the Russian Federation was recently held in Yekaterinburg at the site of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center. The event was organized as part of the International Tourism Exhibition EXPOTRAVEL-2017

The conference brought together participants from 15 regions of Russia and 6 countries of the world. Among them are the heads of relevant executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, heads of industrial industrial enterprises in the regions, representatives of the structures of the Russian Foreign Ministry abroad, travel and transport companies, military-patriotic facilities, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of Tourism Industry (PCT), Ural Association of Tourism, Union of Travel Agencies, etc.

The result of the event was the creation of a new advisory body - the Council for the Development of Industrial Tourism - whose work will be aimed at stimulating the development of interregional industrial tourism routes, at strengthening ties between Russian industrial enterprises and tourist companies organizing educational tours with visits to industrial sites.

The participants of the founding meeting unanimously decided to appoint Oleg Safonov, Head of the Federal Tourism Agency, as the Chairman of the Council. The Presidium of the new advisory body included the head of Nizhny Tagil Sergey Nosov, the Chairman of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Tourism Entrepreneurship, Vice President of the RST Yury Barzykin, as well as representatives of Russian industrial corporations. Executive Director of the Ural Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev was elected Secretary of the Council.

The Council will organize interaction between industrial facilities and tourism companies, assist in obtaining decisions on admission to secret and dangerous facilities, contribute to the implementation of the educational function of industrial tourist routes, and form a single map of industrial tourism in the Russian Federation.

The tactical tasks of the Council for the Development of Industrial Tourism in the Russian Federation in the first half of 2018 will be the creation of a unified map of industrial tourism in the Russian Federation, the formation of routes and programs for the development of industrial tourism in Russian regions.

Russia has a rich industrial history. There are many unique plants and factories on the territory of our country, which are promising objects of tourist display, capable of attracting additional tourist flow. Legendary industrial enterprises are one of the essential components of the tourism potential of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

For single-industry towns, the use of the tourist potential of the industrial complex is an extremely important task for diversifying the economy and creating conditions for socio-economic development.

For the tourism industry, the development of industrial tourism is of great importance in terms of expanding the range of all-season domestic tourist offers.

In addition, excursion tours to industrial enterprises contribute to solving such problems as vocational guidance for the younger generation and attracting foreign students to Russian universities for technical specialties, as well as reducing the level of youth migration from the subjects of the federation to the capital region.

In the subjects of the Russian Federation, more and more industrial tourism products appear, which are formed taking into account the successful experience of foreign countries, in particular, Germany and the United States. One of the significant projects was the creation of the tourist route "Voentur", which includes visits to production shops, a museum and a tank range of NPK Uralvagonzavod. This initiative was implemented in the course of the interaction between Rostourism and NPK Uralvagonzavod, which began in 2016, on the development of military-industrial tourism in Russia. In 2017, children's "military tours" were launched for the first time.

Many Russian cities are interested in becoming centers of industrial tourism. In addition to Nizhny Tagil, these include Chelyabinsk, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Cherepovets and others.

“The growing worldwide interest in industrial tourism predetermines the relevance of the task of organizing regular excursions and forming tourist routes to the leading enterprises of our country. Industrial tours are very important as a tool for patriotic education of citizens and career guidance for young people. Tours to the most important objects of the industrial complex of Russia fill our citizens with a sense of pride for their country and confidence in the future, and help foreign tourists get rid of false stereotypes about our country. The creation of a new advisory body will allow consolidating the efforts of stakeholders for the effective development of industrial tourism in the Russian Federation. The composition of the Council is open. We invite everyone to join its work. For our part, we will actively develop cooperation with the subjects of the federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on the creation and promotion of industrial tourism products”, - says the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov.

The Coordinating Council for Tourism of the Sverdlovsk Region this year decided not to allocate funds from the Ural Music Night for the festival. As festival director Yevgeny Gorenburg wrote on his Facebook page, this year the event “Birthday of Ural Moroz in the Park of Skazov”, the festival of redheads and the mowing tournament will receive support. At the same time, last year the Night of Music received 500 thousand rubles from the council, this year it expected to receive 1 million rubles.

“The photo of Santa Ural Frost with an amazing number of children and other winners make us think about the reorganization of the Ural Night of Music into a Threshing Festival among red-haired Santa Clauses!” Evgeny Gorenburg wrote on Facebook.

In a commentary to the site, the director of the festival stated that the tourism coordinating council did not spend funds on an event that “is capable of attracting the maximum number of tourists to our region,” therefore the council “did not fulfill its direct functional duties.”

As reported in the information policy department of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, the winners of the competition this year were the "Birthday of Ural Frost" (Aramil), the "Marble Mile" festival (Polevskoy), the festival of historical reconstruction "Pokrovsky Frontier" (Artemovsky), the VII International Mowing Tournament ( Artie) and the III Redhead Festival (Nizhny Tagil).

Evgeny Gorenburg did not like this choice. The winners were chosen by experts who evaluated "uniqueness, mass character, the possibility of co-financing from local budgets and non-budgetary sources, and others."

“Their thesis that you are already supported does not withstand any criticism. This can be regarded as we will give you a medal posthumously, since this money is also important to us. The situation can be compared when one part is missing in a car, this part can destroy the entire structure. Yesterday I reported that we have a deficit in the budget of the festival and every million is important and necessary for us, ”the Gorenburg site said.

In his opinion, “instead of buying coal for the locomotive (by their own admission, this is what our Ural Night of Music festival is), so that it would drag the entire train, they are trying to buy paint and paint the wagons that should be attached to this locomotive ".

Earlier, the Organizing Committee of the 2018 FIFA World Cup allowed the organizers of the Ural Music Night to hold the festival in Yekaterinburg during the World Cup. This has become an exception to the usual rules - the organizing committee often does not coordinate the holding of open mass events in the cities where the World Cup is held.
