1. Flight. I do not advise you to fly on a charter flight from Irkutsk with the Nord-West airline. They sometimes delay flights by 3-5 hours. And if your flight is scheduled at night, then get ready for the fact that you may have to spend the night on iron chairs at the, to put it mildly, terrible international airport in the city of Irkutsk, without food, and only with a bottle of drinking water. At the same time, do not expect that you will be fed and / or provided with a rest room, as provided by law, no, this will not happen. And also get ready for the fact that this airline can, instead of the scheduled direct flight from Irkutsk to Sanya (Hainan), first deliver you to Thailand (Phuket), where you will sit at the international airport for about three hours, and only then, somewhere in the evening, you will find yourself in place, having lost a whole day of your paid vacation. Well, if you decide to express your claims to the crew, get ready to hear an answer, like, rejoice that you were generally taken to a vacation spot for "such a penny." If such adventures do not excite you, and you are ready to throw away money for one day of your tour paid for by you, then fly with this particular airline.
2. Guides. We were seen off and met by the company Pegas-Touristik. Before the vacation, I read a lot of reviews about this company, and most of them were negative, especially these reviews concerned the guides of this company. I was a little scared by this, and doubted. But now I can say with accuracy and reliability, do not believe the negative reviews. When we arrived in Sanya, we were met by one of the guides of this company, forgive me, I forgot her name, a very smiling and pretty girl, they took us by bus to the hotel, where another guide, Evgenia, was already waiting, she quickly helped us register and escorted to the room. The next day she gave us a detailed briefing, while being polite and very patient, after that we saw her every day at the hotel, in the morning she came, sat on soft sofas in the lobby, and sometimes answered questions from tourists, helped to solve problems if these problems were. 3. Yalunvan Bay (Yalong Bay - it is also called that), where our hotel was located, is beautiful! It's clean, beautiful, calm. If you want complete relaxation and rest from the noisy city and from the crowd, then you need to go there. For comparison, we were in Dadonghai Bay (dirty and noisy there, but cheap) and Sanya Bay (more or less decent there), but we have not seen such beauty, such tranquility anywhere else. If you like an active and cheap holiday, then Yalong Bay is not for you.
4. Nature, weather. In the company Epos-Tour, where we purchased tickets, we were warned that in June there will be monsoons (rains) in Hainan. But for all the time of our vacation there was heat, exhausting. and the air temperature warmed up to 35 degrees, the water in the pools was hot, in the sea it was cooler, the sand in the daytime was so hot that it burned the legs and it was impossible to walk on it without slippers. The humidity there is almost 100%, all the time it feels like you are in a sauna, the clothes are always wet, they do not dry out. From 11 to 16 hours without an umbrella and cream, you can literally burn out under the rays of the scorching sun, in 5 minutes. Therefore, we went to sunbathe before 11 and after 16 hours. Even if it is cloudy, you can still burn out very quickly. Therefore, I recommend taking an umbrella and sunscreen with you. We saw rain and thunderstorms there only on the day of our departure.
The nature there is wonderful, the cleanest air, blue sky, palm trees, and of various types, ever-blooming trees and shrubs, fragrant flowers, mango trees, breadfruit. Outside of the hotels, on tours, we saw huge banana fields, papaya harvesting, and rice fields and much more.
5. Hotel Marriott, its territory and service. Corresponds to 5 stars! Walking along the Yalunwan Bay, and visiting the hotels located along the coastline, we were convinced that the Marriott Hotel is the most beautiful. The photos of the hotel that can be found on the sites are real photos, everything is without deception, it really is. When you enter the hotel lobby, your eyes immediately rush to the terrace, which offers a wonderful view of the sea. The garden located around the hotel is very well maintained, gardeners are constantly working. who cut something there, clean it, etc. There is a two-level pool on the territory of the hotel, it is winding, you can swim on it for a very long time, find some secluded place, retire, and enjoy this solitude. No one is there and no one interferes. There is a bar by the pool, they give towels for free, there is a volleyball net, a basketball basket, they also teach diving there. The hotel is located on the 1st coastline. There are a lot of sunbeds on the beach, they are almost always empty, despite the fact that there are a lot of tourists in the hotel. Towels are provided free of charge, it is not necessary to hand them over, you can leave them on the sunbeds, then the hotel employees will pick them up. You can take badminton, football or volleyball for free, but you can only buy frisbee, dress circles. The sand on the beach is white, you can see small crabs that pull out minks there and hide in them, the sea is very warm, the waves are small, you can swim. a yellow flag was almost always hung. Sometimes they put up a sign with a warning about the invasion of jellyfish, but we never saw them there, so we swam calmly. At night, swimming is allowed only in the pool. There is also a children's playroom, a children's pool, a large pool for those who swim. the most interesting thing is that the depth of the pools does not exceed 1.5 meters. Therefore, if someone does not know how to swim, it is easy to learn it there. The service is excellent, the attitude of the staff is excellent, respectful. The only thing is that there was only one person who speaks good Russian, he is a student, he came there for only 1 year, for practice, his name is Gani, a good guy, so we solved all issues with him. 6. Number. Our room was overlooking the sea and partly - the garden, the view is wonderful, there were two armchairs and a table on the balcony, we drank tea there, looked at the sea, heard the birds singing and the sound of the sea. Words can't describe it, you have to feel it. The room is very clean, cleaning was carried out daily, towels were changed daily, bathrobes and slippers were changed three times a week, and bed linen was changed twice a week. The room has a kettle, a safe, a refrigerator, a TV (there is a Russian channel), a table, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe, a hairdryer, an umbrella, rubber slippers for the beach, and soft white cozy house slippers. the bathroom is combined (bath, shower, toilet, sink). There is shampoo, shower gel, razor, nail file - and all this is added or changed as you use it.
7. Nutrition. Excellent. Morning buffet. I must say that it is very diverse. Every day we ate something new. Delicious pastries, freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruits, friendly service. Breakfast starts at 7 am and ends at 10:30 am. We paid for evening meals in advance, when booking a tour, so we had the so-called Hawboard menu. There are only three restaurants on the territory of the hotel: Chinese, Japanese and European. We ate every day in one or the other. Overeated. The food is very tasty, we also ordered unusual dishes, such as we will not try in Russia, and we really liked them. The restaurants are chic, the decoration is awesome, many of our restaurants have not yet reached this level. If dinner is not paid in advance, then I advise you to stock up on money for food within the hotel at the rate of 2500 rubles per person. But it's worth it, and besides, it's safe. If you want to eat cheaper, but without a guarantee of safety, then on the territory of the Plaza Hotel (4 stars) there are 12 restaurants, in our opinion, of dubious cuisine. We went there twice for lunch, to eat, the first time we were fed in dirty dishes. The waiters didn't care about us. Service is terrible. We thought that we were mistaken, suddenly, it would be better in another, and another time we went to the Peking Duck restaurant to eat Peking duck. I have never eaten such disgusting things, and the waitresses, instead of serving us, were watching some movie on TV. I do not recommend visiting this restaurant. Eat at your hotel if you want to go home healthy.
8. Shops of Yalunwan Bay.
Everything is very expensive there. For comparison: on a paid Chinese beach, souvenirs, clothes, etc., which are sold in hotels, cost 10 !!! times cheaper. If you want to buy something, it is better to go to Dadonghai Bay and buy there, or pay 53 yuan and go to the park where there is a shell museum, there is also a beach for the Chinese, and there are souvenir shops that cost a penny).
9. Excursions. I recommend: monkey island, thermal springs. the rest - did not cause an impression, and it is a pity for the money that we spent on it. I do not recommend attending a sightseeing tour, because you will be taken to a supposedly silk factory (in fact, it is just a shop selling silk of unknown quality), then to a tea ceremony and to a snake farm, where they will “push” you expensive goods, spin them for money, All in all. Think before you go there. Zombies what you need! I do not recommend Safari Park. There are emaciated, skinny and hungry animals that cause not delight, but regret. Horror is simple!
10. Tourists who stay at the hotel. Basically - the Chinese (a lot and not for long), Americans, Germans, French (a little and not for long), Russians (a little and for a long time). Everyone is very cultured.
