Oceanarium coral garden. Exhibition "Coral Garden" - Marine Aquarium at Chistye Prudy. Oceanarium at Chistye Prudy

The marine aquarium at Chistye Prudy is nothing more than an acquaintance with the majestic underwater kingdom, about which there are many myths and legends.

Drawn by deep mysteries, humanity has managed to study quite well the countless underwater inhabitants that inhabit rivers and seas, lakes and oceans.

At the same time, modern people have a great opportunity to personally get to know such a variety of animals and learn more about their lives.

Clean ponds. Seawater aquarium

An excellent example of an artificially created underwater world is the Marine Aquarium, located on Chistye Prudy (not far from the station of the same name). Indeed, on its vast areas (about 800 sq.m.) you can find almost everything!

It is not without reason that coral reefs are one of the most amazing creations of nature, giving shelter to countless living organisms, from giant sharks to the smallest plankton. Moreover, each of its inhabitants is interesting in its own way.

Current expositions

When embarking on an independent journey through the Marine Aquarium, it should be understood that it is divided into separate aquarium complexes.

And they copy the following biotopes:

  • African lakes - a deep, freshwater lake Tanganyika (or Tangayka), located on the site of a tectonic depression, and Malawi - a vivid example of the specialized evolution of endemic fish species;

  • the Amazon basin, in which predatory piranhas are found in abundance, as well as many "classic" aquarium fish - angelfish, guppies, swordtails;
  • shelf and pelagic zones of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.

  • and of course tropical coral reefs.

A special pride is the unique aquarium (its length is neither more nor less than 6 meters), in which it was possible to reproduce the picture of the real seabed in the smallest detail.

It is only possible to compete with him with a circular 25-ton aquarium, where a flock of reef sharks settled with all the amenities.

Walk through the Coral Garden

What is the exhibition called "Coral Garden", which you can visit on your own or by ordering an organized tour in the Marine Aquarium?

The first thing that catches your eye is a very realistic picture, personifying the eternal "sea tragedy". We are talking about a huge aquarium that meets visitors at the entrance to the largest hall, in which fanged piranhas gracefully swim past a human skeleton.

The only thing missing is a chest and sonorous piastres scattered along the bottom ...

Worthy of attention are less pretentious aquariums inhabited by:

  • toothy moray eels (leopard, giant), not particularly attractive - few people will like their naked elongated bodies, devoid of any scales;

  • the most dangerous lion fish (they are also lionfish) - amazingly beautiful inhabitants of the underwater kingdom, whose poisonous needles cause paralysis of the respiratory and skeletal muscles (without having time to get ashore, a person can easily drown);
  • cichlids and "parrot fish" whose fused mouths vaguely resemble a bird's beak;

  • sea anemones (they are anemones) - close relatives of jellyfish and corals, whose curving bodies are crowned with mouth disks with poisonous tentacles (an effective tool for defense and attack);
  • special shrimp (they are also called doctors) that can cure most "fish" diseases;

  • funny "skates" - amazing "animals" which were feared for a long time, considering them chthonic creatures (in ancient times they personified all the power of wildlife and the underworld). Perhaps their extraordinary appearance and innate ability to change their color are to blame;
  • tropical fish and reptiles, whose habitual habitat is the waters of the Caribbean;

Among the most popular of them are flying fish and sea devils, "angels", tarpons, sardines, grouper goliaths and lobsters, barracudas, wahoo, marlin, and also turtles (for example, green, olive and leatherback turtles).

  • tiny and colorful "fish-girls", cheerful flocks of which frolic among the corals;

  • funny "clown fish" and "surgeons" - funny owners of long noses;
  • spherical sea urchins - very beautiful and dangerous "porcupines" of the underwater world, who have chosen the rocky bottom of the Red and Mediterranean Seas;

  • colored jellyfish and predatory reef sharks, the edges of the fins of which are “painted” white;
  • amazing underwater "birds" or electric rays - leisurely, flat relatives of sharks, the "devilish" reputation of which is greatly exaggerated (only a few species are armed with electric charges);

  • fanged piranhas, famous for their jaws, studded with small sharp teeth-plates, which make it easy to snatch a piece of meat, bite off a finger or bite through steel;
  • porous sea sponges that extract food from the water itself;

  • pulsating corals "Xenia", which takes root in almost any habitat;
  • poisonous fish-stones - masters of disguise that do not have a catchy appearance, which are quite difficult to see on a sandy or rocky bottom;

  • sea flowers - amazing animals known as ricordei;
  • all kinds of coral formations - in separate compositions there are hard, soft and hard corals of unimaginable colors and shapes.

A kaleidoscope of fish passing by will appeal to the most sophisticated audience!

P.S.

At the Marine Aquarium, hundreds of kids get their first unforgettable biology lesson by viewing marine life, touching an old turtle and petting a "wish-fulfilling" starfish.

Here, children are instilled with a kind and caring attitude towards wildlife, the amazing underwater world and all its inhabitants.

Good afternoon, I really like to walk, see new places.

Often you want something bright, beautiful)

And so my family and I decided to go to the aquarium, which is located on Chistye Prudy.

I advise you to buy coupons (I took it on the Biglion website), then a ticket will cost 350 rubles for an adult on weekdays, 250 rubles for a child with an interesting excursion. Entry for pensioners on weekdays from 10.00 to 12.00 is free.

Photography costs 150 rubles, but a few shots can be taken quietly without payment)

The Oceanarium itself is located in a beautiful house, a 7-minute walk from the Chistye Prudy metro station.

I want to note that there is no wardrobe - there is only a small utility room where you can leave your clothes.

The tour lasts one hour, very interesting and informative! We learned a lot about sharks, moray eels, starfish and more! time flew by unnoticed.

After that, you can stay, take a closer look at the beautiful coral garden.

Corals are moving, you can watch them for a short time.

There are 3 halls in the aquarium, they are small. There are aquariums, the fish are all signed.

Without a tour and for the full price it would not be interesting.

And so - just wonderful

At the aquarium there is a shop with accessories for fish and aquariums.

To sum it up, here are the pros:

1. Location - in the center and near the metro

2. coupon value

3. interesting excursion

4. Lots of fish

5. Beautiful coral garden

1. No wardrobe

2. Crowded, feeling of poverty

3. 3 small halls

4. Dampness and a slight unpleasant odor

if you don’t expect too much, then I advise you to go for an excursion and beautiful fish!

I wish you all a great mood1

In Moscow, on Chistye Prudy, there is a mini-"oceanarium" Aquarium "Coral Garden".

In fact, this is an exhibition of small aquariums with the inhabitants of coral reefs, as well as representatives of the marine and river ichthyofauna.

The entire exposition fits in the basement of a house on Chistoprudny Boulevard.

In fact, in each room there is a set of medium aquariums and a bunch of "cages" for fish along the walls. How have they not gone crazy yet?

The inhabitants of the cages can be conditionally divided into 2 groups: those who joyfully swim towards you (maybe they have not been fed for a long time), and those who are frightened and instantly move deeper into the depths.

To all more or less large aquariums, the approach is fenced, it is impossible to walk closer than a meter.

There are few visitors, but there are many employees walking back and forth, bawling with those in the back rooms.

Wardrobe - a couple of hangers on the wall behind a curtain, self-service, and it is almost at the exit already. Those. first you need to evaporate, passing in clothes through 2 rooms to the third.

The feeling that this is not arranged at a professional level, but amateur art, moreover, of the last century. Very dirty, the walls are smeared with peeling signs, full of rust and pipes - should visitors see this? In the toilet, for example, there are just 2 pushes without cubicles with closing doors.

This home-grown museum for the province may have been the very thing, but it is strange to see this in the capital.

Ticket for adults weekdays 400r, 500r. on weekends, for photography without a flash, another 150 rubles. (There is no mention of this on the website.) In the end, I paid 550r. for visiting the "Coral Garden", but in fact the exhibition of aquariums - which is a very dubious pleasure, taking into account my visit to the Moskvarium at VDNKh for free and the giant Oceanarium in Crocus for 400 rubles.

The Coral Garden may be suitable for school trips, for parents of toddlers (who live nearby) or for those who like less visited places and who are not particularly pretentious.

In terms of showing a minimal set of the underwater world - fish, big fish, sharks, rays, turtles - it will do.

Agree that most of all we are conquered in oceanariums by huge 2 or 3 pools with bathyscaphe options, tunnels and a lot of windows that you can cling to. And here it is not.

I found an individual tour with a family with a 4-year-old. Where did they get such a guide, a rude aunt, I wouldn’t let such a child near children. This would look organically at the back exit of a grocery store with a cigarette in his mouth. Honestly.
