Holidays dedicated to aviation. Russian Aviation Day. History and traditions of International Civil Aviation Day

Flag of the Air Force of the USSR. The one in the heart.......

Yesterday, through Odnoklassniki, I received congratulations from my classmate at the military school. He congratulated me on the start of the festive week. At the same time, it was quite logical to note that if the vast majority of representatives of, so to speak, ordinary professions have only one holiday a year, then military aviators have two of them :-). This week begins with one holiday, with Sunday 12th oh, and another ends, in Sunday the 19th.

Somehow I didn't attach any importance to it before. Probably because he has never lived in Russia since it became a separate independent state. As they say, my homeland is the Soviet Union. And then we, the army, had only one aviation day. The one that Stalin installed in 1933. Then it was August 18th.

Since then USSR Air Fleet Day celebrated every third Sunday in August. Moreover, this holiday was more associated with the 18th. There was also the day of Aeroflot (more precisely, the civil air fleet) - the second Sunday of February, but then we did not consider it ours (in general, and correctly) and many did not even hear about it.

Then the day of Aeroflot in 1988 was canceled and combined with the August aviation day. And three years later the Soviet Union ceased to exist. Socialism, so plainly and unbuilt, sunk into oblivion ... Then everything around collapsed, starting with the economy and ending with many years of historical and spiritual traditions.

Soviet aviation, unfortunately, did not escape this fate (and not only military, but also civilian). The losses that she suffered probably cannot be compared even with the losses during the hostilities. Especially in the second half of the 90s and early 2000s.

It was painful and bitter to watch all this. Every even slightly positive action and any, even a small movement forward, was perceived with great hope. And now, it seems, these hopes are beginning to come true.

Our well-deserved, now, just as once in the first years of its existence, Russian aviation, which has always had many victories and outstanding achievements, begins to spread its wings again.

On August 12, exactly 100 years ago, the first military aviation unit was officially formed by royal decree. This is how the Russian Air Force was born. And since May 31, 2006, by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, this day has become an official holiday, Happy Air Force(has the status of a memorable day). Absolutely correct and logical decision :-).

As you can see, all good things come back :-). Russian aviation is beginning to restore its former power and perfection. I really want to believe that this process will only accelerate and go in the right direction, which means there is and will be something to celebrate. And we will definitely do it :-).

Now, after all, we have two festive dates: the 12th and the 19th following it (officially approved, by the way, in 1992 by the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation). Air Force Day and Russian Air Force Day. And I don't even know if I should share them. All this is easy for me Aviation Day.

And today, on the eve of these two big holidays, I want to congratulate everyone on the 100th anniversary of our glorious Air Force and on the upcoming Russian Air Force Day.

I congratulate everyone who had and has great happiness (that's right!) to touch the mysteries of the fifth ocean, those for whom the sky has become a second home, and its gentle blueness and snow-white light clouds are their favorite colors in life.

I congratulate everyone who is "on you" with powerful, heavy and, sometimes, formidable machines. Thanks to your work on the ground, often very difficult and even thankless, planes take to the air and there they turn into light birds of the sky :-).

Happy holidays to all those who create the most complex modern aircraft, build them at giant factories, who in one way or another ensure the possibility of daily flight work of Russian aviation.

Happy holidays to all aviators, past, present and future. Although, of course, there are no former aviators, as well as former officers ....

Congratulations to everyone who understands, who remembers, who knows...

Work in the air is associated with daily risk, heavy workloads and stress for the whole organism. The profession of heroes, it is respected, admired, aspired to, it is worthy of awards and generous, high-profile holidays and congratulations on the dem aviation. Aviation holidays are those days on which you simply have to congratulate friends and relatives working in this field. About and congratulations on aviation day read below.

If the heavens parted for you

So you are winged wizards,

And marvelous expanses spread out,

And soar, from dawn to dusk you.

Daily life is trusted

Hundreds, thousands or more people

Hearts and souls entrust everything to you,

To carry them into the distance faster!

Take care of them, take care and keep them,

Side to avoid trouble

On your wings carry

We will always pray for you!

Of course, such a large-scale multifaceted profession associated with daily risk has more than one date to celebrate.

  • The success of aviation on an international scale could not go unnoticed. In 1992, the UN General Assembly established the holiday "International Civil Aviation Day", which has since been celebrated on December 7th.
  • February 9 - Civil Aviation Day in Russia
  • December 23 - Long-Range Aviation Day
  • June 1 - Day of Military Transport Aviation
  • July 17 - Naval Aviation Day
  • August 12 - Russian Air Force Day
  • 3rd Sunday of August - Air Fleet Day.
  • And of course, every 13th day of every month, as if contrary to fate, the heavenly warriors celebrate their safe, countless landings.

Air fleet great holiday

We single him out among many.

And it is collected in the hearts of the most diverse

Whose deeds we do not know.

Heroes, quickly soaring into the sky,

Risking my life daily for you

Whose infinitely continuous strip,

Both takeoff and own.

civil or military,

We honor you all and congratulate you,

Immortal, steel and permanent,

From the whole world we wish you:

Take off... fly... fly...

Always, at any time of the year,

So that an angel can give his protection,

Both on sunny days and in bad weather!

How to congratulate the pilot?

If a person close to you has connected his life with heaven and such a special profession as a pilot, then you should congratulate in a special way. Choose beautiful words that reflect the essence of the profession, create an unforgettable entourage and, of course, interesting gifts.

Why are wings given to man?

To soar into the sky endlessly

How small are the particles of the planet from above,

And the little men are not visible at all.

You fly up, you fly up

Every day, keeping a finger on the pulse

Responsible for life, responsible for everyone,

So, beautifully hovering above the ground, and circling!

We wish you health, strength and patience,

We wish good weather always

Let luck fly with you, luck,

And there will never be non-flying hours!

Probably the greatest holiday feeling for pilots is being at home with family, so don't suggest trips to restaurants or other establishments. The holiday should be family, unless, of course, it is no longer a corporate party.

Fly pilot, fly, soar

Be above everyone every day

And throw all your strength

On landing without interference!

And on the sides they fly with you

May your angels

And they're looking after you

Right down to the ground!

Holiday decoration at home.

Order a cake in the form of a steering wheel or a uniform cap, you can arrange lunch, like on an airplane, serve all the dishes on delivery and in disposable packages, but, of course, exclusively home-made. Or prepare them in the form of an airplane, emblems and other flight paraphernalia, give interesting names associated with this profession. For example, come up with cocktails and call them in an original way, “Runway”, “Turbulence Zone” or “Seven Thousand Above Ground”. Decorate and also name the salads - “Chassis”, “Steering wheel”, “Trap” (for the color palette we use black olives, brown nuts, purple onions and cabbage). Spread hot on a dish in the form of an airplane or an airline emblem.

Hang around the apartment small paper airplanes, balls and other little things associated with air.

Corporate.

Banquet invitation in the form of tickets. The attendants of your banquet should change into the uniform of the company that is celebrating, handing out "take-off and landing" sweets at the entrance. Decorate the hall with balloons with the logos of the airline, choose the appropriate music, periodically diluting it with announcements that sound on airplanes and airports.

Chairs can imitate the semblance of aircraft seats, for example, equip with headrests or seat belts. Meals can be served in disposable containers, foil, or simply reflect a specialized theme.

Organize the event itself in the form of a flight, an exotic trip, an exam for employees of the air industry, an unplanned landing. In retro style, for example, "Flight of the 60s", or maybe, on the contrary, "Heaven, 3100" and so on.

Present

It is very difficult to surprise a person who has seen many times more than you, but you still need to try. One of the options is to approach the issue with humor and give him a ticket for a train, bus or ship for a tour of the cities, countries of Europe. Present a model of an aircraft, cufflinks or a cigarette case with symbols, a nominal watch, a comfortable leather chair, as in the cockpit.

Of course, these are exclusively themed gifts and nuances of the holiday, you can choose topics that are completely unrelated to flying.

Congratulation lines.

Pilots, flight attendants and flight attendants! Every third person in the world at least once trusted you with their lives and the lives of their loved ones. And you, at the highest level, coped with this task millions of times. And all because you have neither professionalism, nor courage, nor courage, nor dedication. From the bottom of our hearts, on your holiday, we would like to wish, most importantly, health! After all, only it gives you the opportunity to soar into the skies, and we can be in good hands. Incredible luck, on which our fates also depend. A cloudless sky, endless expanses, the strongest guardian angels and thousands of flight hours ahead! Happy holiday to you heavenly employees of the flight industry!

Most of our contemporaries at least once took to the air aboard an airliner. This means that he entrusted his life to the reliable hands of the employees of the civil air fleet and workers of the aviation sector, who ensure the safety of air transportation to no lesser extent than the flight personnel. And on August 21, we all have the opportunity to thank these people by celebrating their professional holiday with them. Yes, and do not confuse Air Force Day with Air Force Day - these are different holidays.

Story

Military aviation was the first to appear in our country, the civil air fleet was born second. Regular air communications began in the USSR in 1922, when the permanent Moscow-Kenigsberg line was launched. As the civil air fleet of the country developed, it “became on the wing” and, in order to celebrate this phenomenon, in 1933, thanks to I.V. Stalin, this important holiday was born - at that time it was called “The Day of the Soviet Air Fleet”. It is clear that after the collapse of the Union, a change was made to the name and the holiday received its current name.

Today, more than 4,000 aircraft and 2,000 helicopters belonging to various Russian airlines carry up to 30% of passengers and cargo on long-distance and international airlines "from the southern seas to the polar region."

Traditions

Every year the celebration of this important date is gaining wider scope in our country. Large-scale air shows are held at all civil airfields, both with the participation of professional aerobatic teams and with the participation of amateur pilots.

In many Russian cities, mass public celebrations are held, TV programs include:

  • stories from the life of civil aviation;
  • stories of outstanding pilots about their working biography;
  • reports from the performances of pilots;
  • feature films on relevant topics.

Not only civilian pilots walk on this day, but also the military, as well as everyone who is at least to some extent connected with aviation in general. And, quite naturally, most people meet not only on the streets, but also at the festive table. Many airlines gather employees for cooperative events. Distinguished specialists are awarded awards and valuable gifts.

The development of aviation in the USSR can be illustrated by the following major events of those years:

On May 1, 1918, the first military and aviation parade of the troops of the Moscow garrison took place on the Khodynka field.

It involved infantry units, cavalry, artillery and armored vehicles, as well as the first aviation detachments, and many aircraft still had the identification marks of the Russian Army.

From Red Square, after the rally, V.I. Lenin arrived here (accompanied by N.K. Krupskaya and M.I. Ulyanova). He examined the hangars, planes, talked with pilots and aircraft technicians.

After the passage of infantry, artillery, cavalry, everyone's eyes turned to the sky, where pilot I.N. Vinogradov flew over Khodynka on a Nieuport-21 aircraft and performed aerobatics.

January 17, 1921 - the first Soviet legislative act on aviation was adopted - the Decree "On air movements in the airspace over the territory of the RSFSR and over its territorial waters."

May 1, 1921 - the Moscow-Orel-Kharkov postal passenger airline was opened (served by old Ilya Muromets aircraft).

May 1, 1922 The first international airline Moscow-Konnigsberg (Deruluft airline) was opened in the USSR.

February 9, 1923 - The Council of Labor and Defense adopted a resolution "On the assignment of technical supervision of air lines to the Main Directorate of the Air Fleet and on the organization of the Council for Civil Aviation" - the official date for the creation of civil aviation.

March 8, 1923 - the Society of Friends of the Air Fleet (ODVF) was created, which took part in the equipment of airfields, raised funds for the construction of aircraft for the Air Force of the Red Army, and held All-Union glider competitions in the Crimea.

March 17, 1923 - the Russian Joint Stock Company of the Voluntary Air Fleet - "Dobrolyot" was established with an authorized capital of 2 million rubles in gold. The main goal was the organization of air mail, passenger and cargo airlines, as well as the development of the domestic aviation industry.

September 3, 1923 - V.I.Lenin and N.K.Krupskaya contributed six personal gold coins to Dobrolet JSC for the purchase of a Junkers Yu-13 Pravda passenger aircraft.

January 23, 1927 - the Society for the Promotion of Defense, Aviation and Chemical Construction - OSOAVIAKHIM (since 1951 - DOSAAF of the USSR, since 1991 - ROSTO) was formed.

March 20, 1930 - on the basis of the aeromechanical faculty of the Moscow State Technical University. Bauman, the Higher Aeromechanical School was formed (since August 29 - the Moscow Aviation Institute).

June 26, 1930 - near Voronezh, under the leadership of L.G. Minov, the first mass training of paratroopers in the USSR for jumping from an airplane began. This day is considered the birthday of Soviet parachuting.

In November 1932 Commander of the Red Army Air Force Ya.I. Alksnis submitted to the Revolutionary Military Council (the highest military body of the USSR) a proposal by the Air Force to establish a new holiday - "Aviation Day", "in order to further popularize civil and military aviation among the masses"

The holiday was proposed to be held annually in August ("the best time for weather conditions, after training in the summer camps of the Air Force personnel") in the form of air parades, with a demonstration of the best examples of military and civil aviation, piloted by the best military and civilian pilots, as well as with the participation of outstanding athletes aviators and paratroopers.

Previously, there were no regular aviation holidays either in Tsarist Russia or in the USSR.

This proposal was considered by the Government and the Central Committee, after which, on April 28, 1933, the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR adopted Decree No. 859 "On the celebration of the day of the air fleet of the USSR."

So, since 1933, a tradition has arisen annually on August 18 to celebrate the Day of the Air Force of the USSR. This holiday was established both for military and civil aviators, as well as for developers and creators of aircraft.

USSR Air Force Day was celebrated annually on August 18 until 1980, when Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated October 1, 1980 No. 3018-X “On Holidays and Memorable Days” established that the USSR Air Force Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of August.

In the future, air demonstrations of new models of military and civil aviation equipment were held in Domodedovo (the last one in 1967).

In 1977, an aviation and sports festival of DOSAAF athletes was held in Tushino, dedicated to the sixtieth anniversary of the Great October Revolution.

In the 70s and 80s there were no central air parades.

However, the tradition of holding air festivals dedicated to the Day of the USSR Air Force has been preserved at the regional (local) level. Every year, air festivals were held in Zhukovsky (by the forces of test pilots of the LII), in Monino, in Kubinka and other cities of aviation belonging.

From 1955 to 1991, the celebration of the Day of the USSR Air Force was opened with solemn meetings held by the heads of the Air Force of the Ministry of Defense, Minaviaprom, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, DASAAF.

The first ceremonial meeting took place in 1955 in the green theater of the Park. Gorky (G.K. Zhukov participated), and the last one took place on August 16, 1991 in the Concert Hall. Tchaikovsky (almost all members of the future GKChP participated).

All solemn Meetings of representatives of the working people of Moscow and the soldiers of the capital's garrison, dedicated to the Day of the USSR Air Fleet, were held according to one scenario.

They were held on Friday (the closest to Aviation Day) in turn at the Central Theater of the Soviet Army, the Hall of Columns and in the Concert Hall. Tchaikovsky.

The official part was opened by a very representative presidium from among the leaders of the Air Force and aviation industries, general and chief designers of aircraft equipment, champion athletes of aviators, cosmonauts of the USSR.

The main report was made as a rule by the Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force, sometimes by the Ministers of the Aviation Industry and Civil Aviation. Then advanced production workers from the aviation industry and champions, champions of aviation, spoke. The official part lasted about 1.5 hours.

Then an hour-long break, during which it was possible to eat and drink a little at the tables set in the foyer. A military brass band played (with the obligatory "March of the Aviators"), those who wished could dance.

This solemn meeting was completed by a Big festive concert with the participation of the most popular and famous artists, singers and dancers.

Sometimes video filming of this concert was carried out, and then on Sunday the recording of the concert dedicated to Aviation Day was shown on Central Television.

The ceremonial meetings dedicated to the Day of the USSR Air Force continued until August 1991. At the meeting

On August 16, 1991, several people quietly entered the presidium, in whom everyone was surprised to recognize the very first persons from the leadership of the Country (except for Gorbachev).

B.K. Pugo (Minister of the Interior). Never before have such high leaders attended the ceremonial meetings dedicated to Aviation Day.

None of them showed up. They left before the others, as quietly as they had arrived.

It was a mystery to everyone.

And only on Monday, August 19, did everyone find out that these same leaders of the USSR, who were present at the celebration of Aviation Day in the Hall. Tchaikovsky, formed the GKChP (State Committee for the State of Emergency) and made an unsuccessful attempt to save the USSR and the CPSU from impending destruction.

It was the last Day of the USSR Air Fleet in the history of the country. Decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation of September 28, 1992 N 3564-1 establishedholiday Russian Air Force Day (third Sunday in August).

holiday Russian Air Force Day - August 12 (celebrated on Air Force Day), in honor of the event of 1912, when by order of the Military Department (Military Ministry of Russia)dated August 12, the staff of the aeronautical unit of the Mainadministration of the General Staff.

At the beginning of the second month of the year, congratulations are received by pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and everyone else whose work is related to aircraft, because the Russian Civil Aviation Day is celebrated. When and how did this holiday appear?

Story

In 1923, on February 9, a decree was issued to achieve the growth rate and quality of aircraft construction, which must meet the standards of developed countries. To achieve these goals, a special Council for Civil Aviation was organized.

There were no educational institutions that would produce specialist pilots and aircraft engineers at that time. Therefore, all the tasks set by the leadership of the state fell on the shoulders of military navigators, who urgently began to undergo retraining.

A few years later, in 1932, the new structure got stronger, it got its own flag, uniform and new name. Previously, the Russian air fleet was called "Dobrolet", and now it has received the name "Aeroflot". However, at that time they still did not think about the Day of Civil Aviation of Russia, what date to celebrate it and how. This happened only in 1979, but it was originally called "Aeroflot Day". Such a holiday exists even now, but it is celebrated at a different time.

Civil aviation in Russia

In 1923, in the USSR, the main airport was, of course, in the capital - in Moscow on the Khodynka field. The route along which the planes carrying people and cargo flew at that time was only one: from Moscow to Berlin with stops in Smolensk, Kaunas and Koenigsberg. But in June of that year, when the official structure appeared, another regular flight was added from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod. And from that moment on, more and more new airports begin to appear in the country, new flights are operated.

Today, civil aviation performs the following functions:

  • transportation of passengers and goods to different destinations,
  • delivery of humanitarian aid,
  • participation in search and rescue operations,
  • assistance in medical care for residents of hard-to-reach regions of the country, etc.

Today, Russian airliners can be found in any corner of the world, and this is not perceived as something out of the ordinary. But before, each flight (especially over long distances) was viewed as a feat and sincerely rejoiced at it. So, in 1927, at that time, a real breakthrough occurred - the Moscow-Tokyo flight was made, and after only 2 years, Russian pilots visited North America.

Flights did not stop during the Second World War, so today, on the Day of Russian Civil Aviation, when the holiday is celebrated, they do not forget about the real exploits of the pilots who transported humanitarian cargo and transported those who urgently needed medical assistance from besieged Leningrad.

celebration

February 9 is not an official holiday, but despite this, festivities take place throughout the country. How large they will be depends primarily on whether the date is round (50, 70 or 90 years have passed since 1923) and on the city in which the celebrations take place. In anniversary years, parades can be held, where members of the Government of the country and, of course, the Minister of Transport are present.

Other holidays whose history is very interesting:

On the Civil Aviation Day of Russia, congratulations are received by pensioners and veterans of the industry. By the way, those who work in the flight crew can retire quite early, having given the profession only 25 years (men) or 20 years (women). Many "pensioners" are thus not yet 50 years old. They are relatively young and full of energy, so it is worth arranging a holiday for them.

If you need to organize a celebration in a small team of pilots, stewardesses, etc., then you can turn to such entertainment:

  • fly a toy plane along a given route using radio control;
  • flight attendants can be offered for a while, holding a tray with one hand, to collect the maximum number of glasses of water from the floor;
  • check the vestibular apparatus of the pilots by placing some kind of stick (for example, a bat) on the floor, ask them to lean against it with their forehead and spin around it 10 times, and then quickly run to the nearest chair.

Russian Civil Aviation Day is a holiday when it is appropriate to talk about the jokes of pilots that once really happened. For example, about how one British captain of an aircraft took a seat in the back row among unsuspecting passengers. When everyone sat down in their seats and began to worry that the pilot was gone for a long time, he became indignant and said that in this case he himself would sit at the helm, after which he unfastened his belt, went into the cockpit, closed the door behind him, and the plane began to move .

There are many such stories. And, perhaps, someone will decide not only to tell them, but also to “joke” like that in honor of the holiday. However, it is better not to do this, because among the passengers there may be very impressionable people.
