There is a large shopping center Nha Trang, where there are shops and boutiques, a supermarket, a large food court, bowling alley, massage, cinema and children's entertainment.

All hotels are high-rise. Most hotels have categories of 4 and 5 “stars”, the level of service is higher than European. Almost all hotels are located across the street from the beach.

Hotels most often offer only breakfast, sometimes half board. You can find hotels that operate on an all-inclusive basis, which is rare in Vietnam.

Russian-speaking staff is found, but not often. English is used for communication. There is no animation in the hotels.

A direct flight to Nha Trang airport from Moscow will take about 10-11 hours. Transfers are short. If you fly to Ho Chi Minh City (9 hours from Moscow), the transfer will take about 8 hours.

To beckon the waiter with your hand is considered indecent, to behave noisily and actively gesticulate is considered bad manners.

The free sandy beach of Nha Trang stretches for more than 7 kilometers. There are sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, and you can go diving, windsurfing and parasailing.

Paragon Villa Hotel 3* is located in the southern area of ​​Nha Trang city near the sea coast. There are many picturesque villas around, built by local residents, and there are several restaurants and cafes. The hotel is mainly visited by vacationers from Russia, but there are also tourists from a number of European countries, for example, Poland, Belgium, Germany and Croatia. In 2019, local authorities are actively reconstructing the nearest beach; before leaving, it is advisable to check with your travel agent whether it has been completed or not.

There is a specially fenced shallow area in the pool for children, where they can swim in the hot season.

The opening took place in 2012. In a small area there are 2 five-story buildings. Between the beach and the road, hotel guests like to relax on lawns with palm trees, but, according to tourists, there is no park area near the complex itself. There are many construction projects in the surrounding area, so those for whom napping is important should check to see if there is any construction work going on nearby. After the beach opens, the hotel can become a good budget option for a family vacation.

Rooms

The best rooms are located on the upper floors of the complex. The windows offer views of the sea, surrounding hills and villas.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, but guests sometimes complain about the connection quality. Even if there are available rooms, vacationers are rarely checked in before 14.00. Towels are changed daily, bed linen every few days. Also, the maids constantly bring water, tea and coffee. There are electric kettles in the rooms.

If you are accommodated in a room overlooking a construction site, it is better to immediately ask the administrator for another one. The work continues until late in the evening, so it will be difficult to rest. Sometimes there is an additional charge for changing the number. Guests note that the lighting is not good enough. Since in Vietnam it is already dark at 18.00 in the summer, in the evenings the rooms are dim. There is air conditioning and a paid minibar, but they are not silent. The rooms of the lower categories have small balconies; it is better to take a clothesline with you. It doesn't have time to dry at night.

Cots are provided for children. The cheapest rooms have only 2 single beds or one double bed. There are no wardrobes, instead there is one hanger in the hallway. There are few sockets; tourists are advised to take extension cords with them. Adapters are usually not needed.

Bathrooms have both bathtubs and showers, depending on the category. Washing supplies are replenished daily. Laundry services are paid. The condition of the plumbing sometimes causes criticism.

Nutrition

The food concept at Paragon only includes breakfast. Guests have lunch and dinner at nearby restaurants. The menu corresponds to a hotel with so many stars. In the mornings they serve:

• sausages, fried bacon;
• cheese and sausage slices;
• vegetable stew;
• seafood;
• cupcakes;
• fruits (watermelon, bananas, dragon fruit, papaya);

There are always desserts, several types of meat, toast, butter and jam. Parents with children note the lack of dairy products and a small selection of fruits. Not far from the hotel complex there is a store that sells yoghurts and curds.

In the evenings, vacationers go to the center of Nha Trang to try fresh seafood. You can have lunch at a cafe nearby. If tourists are tired of traditional local cuisine, it is worth looking for a restaurant with a European menu. The owners of many establishments are Russian, so you can try hearty, familiar dishes - borscht, pancakes, casseroles.

Staff

The staff does not speak Russian, although most guests come from Russia. Administrators only know English, but not at a high enough level. The maids try to carry out cleaning at a time convenient for vacationers, sometimes they don’t even take tips and chocolates that guests leave for them. The restaurant does not always replenish food dishes quickly. If necessary, the reception staff will call a free shuttle to the city.

Entertainment and animation

Families with children most often come to Paragon due to its proximity to the beach, but there is no entertainment program in the complex. There is also no games room.

There is a swimming pool on the 2nd floor between the two buildings.

The recreational area around it is not well equipped. There are no umbrellas or sun loungers nearby. In winter, the pool is rarely open; it is better to check the schedule before your trip. There is no heating, so the water is often too cold for swimming when the weather turns bad. The advantage is the round-the-clock operation. In the evenings, vacationers gather near the pool.

Beach

When visiting Vinpearl, it is recommended to plan 2 days to relax in the water park and ride the rides. On the island, kids will love the zoo, the huge Ferris wheel, the flower park and the singing fountain show. This amusement park often hosts colorful performances, which tourists film on video.

Regular buses run to the city. They can quickly get to Cho Dam Market and mud springs. The local taxi service is inexpensive, so you can always quickly get to your favorite cafe.

Among the excursions, we recommend a trip to Dalat with an overnight stay, as well as a trip to the Northern Islands. Fans of extreme recreation will appreciate an ATV ride through the tropical jungle. Local agencies usually have significantly lower prices than tour operators. Also popular among holidaymakers are trips to the Ponagar Towers, the Lotus Garden and a visit to the Rock Garden.

Location. Paragon Villa Hotel is located in one of the best areas of Nha Trang. An Vien district, many Russian-speaking tourists and locals call An Vien the “Vietnamese ruble”. The area is quiet and peaceful with beautiful cottages (many are still under construction).

There is a fishing village nearby. An Vien has three 2*-3* hotels, two shops and two restaurants + a “tent” on the beach, everything is within walking distance because... An Vien area is small.

Advantages of the area: there are not a large number of cars and motorbikes as in Nha Trang (adults and children can easily learn to ride motorbikes), a beach without waves, nearby are the ticket office and the entrance to the Vinpearl cable car and boats (Vinpearl amusement park), as well as the Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang, a supermarket with Russian-speaking employees + cafe. Bao Dai's villas are under reconstruction.

Hotel Paragon Villa. The hotel consists of 6 floors and two buildings, the buildings are connected by an outdoor pool on the third floor. Ground floor reception, mini-shop, conference room, toilets, restaurant-bar (also the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner). From the 2nd to the 5th floor there are rooms + on the 6th floor there is an attic with rooms, a basement laundry room, security with a dog and housekeeping rooms. We booked the Paragon Villa hotel for the New Year's period from December 22 to January 3 (without additional payments for New Year's dinner), we checked in quickly, and were assigned to a room on the 5th floor overlooking the sea. Tour with Senior Sea or Hill View/DBL Half Board.

The entire staff of the Paragon Villa hotel was friendly, there were no problems with communication (some speak a little Russian and English), all requests were responded to promptly.

Rooms at Paragon Villa Hotel. Senior Sea or Hill View – the room is small, but there is enough space for suitcases, bags and personal belongings. The room was cleaned every day, towels, water and gels were changed and added every day, we never saw who cleaned our room (tips and Alenka chocolates, which we put on the table, were not taken away; before leaving, we gave everything to the reception), so .To. from morning to evening we were on excursions and on the beaches. Everything in the room is standard, TV, refrigerator, minibar, tea accessories and coffee (Tam Chau artichoke tea), wardrobe, “bench” for suitcases, double bed, two cabinets with lamps. A table with a mirror and two chairs. Shower with bath. Cons: Problem with room lighting, in the evening in semi-darkness. The room smelled of dampness and mold.

Restaurant and food at Paragon Villa Hotel. Breakfast was good for us, there was always a choice. The most important thing is noodles + two or three types of soups (even “crocodile soup”, haven’t tried it, only Vietnamese noodles), hot dishes (beef, chicken, ostrich, turkey), rice, pasta. Vegetables + salads, confectionery. All dishes were updated regularly during breakfast. The fruit was sold out quickly, we had to wait.

Few people come for dinner, we booked HB, incl. attended dinner. On the first day, for dinner they brought French fries with overcooked chicken and a salad with mayonnaise (something we don’t prefer). At the reception they asked us to have only rice for dinner and nothing else. The Paragon Hotel staff accepted our wishes and did even more than asked. From the next day until the end of our stay at the hotel we had a wonderful dinner - water, vegetable salad (no mayonnaise) + soup or Vietnamese noodles, rice or noodles with meat or grilled shrimp. With good plating and presentation, just like in Fine dining.

Beach and pool at Paragon Villa. I’ll start with the pool, the pool is small on the third floor of the hotel, the entrance to the pool is on both sides of the hotel buildings) Considering that we “fell” during the rainy season (in 2016 we celebrated the New Year in Nha Trang for 21 days, there were only 2 rainy days) in 2017 -2018 we were unlucky with the weather. The water in the pool is clean but cold (due to weather conditions), we didn’t see anyone swimming in the pool, hotel guests came to the pool to “drink beer.”

Beach next to the hotel, 2-3 m/p. The beach is sandy, the entrance to the sea is sand. The water in the sea is warm, there are stones on the right. There are no sunbeds, since December all sunbeds have been removed and there is a sign that the beach is being repaired (no work has been seen). I guess they removed it so that “people” wouldn’t fight over the sunbeds. There is enough space on the beach, despite the large number of tourists (from 11-00 to 16-00). The most important thing is that there are no waves on Paragon Beach!!! At night, tourists from other hotels in Nha Trang also relax on the beach; they even have seafood barbecues and barbecues on Paragon Beach. Everything is civilized, without “drunkenness and shouting.” In the morning we often saw a “line” of tourists coming from Nha Trang looking for Paragon Beach.

The contingent of the Paragon Villa hotel is from different countries. Mainly from Russia, we also met tourists from Croatia, Belgium, Poland and Germany.

The hotel was booked through the Pegasus company. Pegasus office is located in the An Vien area next to the Paragon Villa hotel, incl. There were no problems with the excursions. Thanks to Yulia, the guide from Pegasus, she helped us a lot in solving some problems. We visited almost all excursions in Nha Trang and its surroundings, but Pegasus always finds something new. Thanks to all the guides from Pegasus (not only Russian and Ukrainian guides, but also Vietnamese guides, especially Hoan (aka Tsar)))

In general, the Paragon Villa Hotel is not a bad hotel at all, it fully lives up to expectations (we were in other four-star hotels in Nha Trang, even worse than three). We did not regret choosing the Paragon Hotel in Nha Trang!
