Map of Dubai in Russian. Sights of chic Dubai: photos and descriptions. Where to buy NOL Cards

I have prepared for you an interactive map of the Dubai metro 2019 in Russian with attractions, the name of each station and buses near them. Using it, you can easily calculate the cost of travel and plan your route faster.

What these multi-colored zones are will be described below when I show the tariffs.

Dubai metro map in Russian with closed stations 2018-2020 for those who find it easier to navigate.

You've probably already read that the Dubai Metro is fully automated and operates without a driver. The first and last carriages offer excellent views of the city.

There are really a lot of people during rush hours and this is not the most comfortable trip.

This is the longest metro in the world: the journey from one end of the red line to the other takes 1 hour.

The metro is fully adapted for people with disabilities. The city itself is not, but the metro is.

It is not customary to give up your seat in carriages, but there are special seats for pregnant women and disabled people, which ordinary passengers are not allowed to sit on. You can get a fine for this, all fines are at the end of the article.

All stations have free Wi-Fi

You need to present your cards both at the entrance and at the exit, otherwise the trip will be calculated at the maximum fare.

Please note: From 2018 to 2020, several metro stations are closed: Ibn Battuta, Nakheel Harbor and Towers, Jumeirah Lake Towers. There is a free shuttle bus between them.

Dubai metro fare 2019

Burjuman metro station - change from green to red line

You can calculate the fare for Metro Thinking in 2018 using an interactive map with zone markings. The fact is that the payment system there is not very familiar to us, because there are no one-time tickets and we pay for the distance, not for the trip, so the cost of each can be different each time.

The price of each trip depends on how many zones you travel through. (The zones can be viewed on the interactive map above). There are 3 tariffs in total:

  • T1 - travel within one zone
  • T2 - the trip starts in one zone and ends in the next one
  • T3 - a trip through several zones.

In addition, you can add the GOLD option to each of these fares; it gives you the right to travel in the first carriage, there are always very few people there, large comfortable chairs, and a view of Dubai from the windshield.

My wife and I appreciated GOLD when we were returning from the evening fountain show and there was just a huge crowd of people in the subway. In the first carriage there were even free seats and my wife happily slept in these chairs after a busy day.

Dubai has a unified transport system. If you get off the metro and transfer to a bus within 30 minutes, this is a continuation of the trip and you do not need to pay for it separately.

Travel for children under 5 years old or less than 90 cm is free. For everyone else, you will have to buy a ticket as an adult.

How much does the metro cost in Dubai (calculation examples)

Example No. 1: We are traveling from Burj Khalifa (transport zone 6) to Palma (transport zone 2). We get off at Dubai Marina station and change to the tram. We show the ticket everywhere, both at the entrance and at the exit. The zones are neighboring, so we pay once at the T2 tariff.

Example No. 2: We are driving from the Airport to Burj Khalifa. This is within one transport zone. Must pay T1 tariff. But you forgot to present your ticket at the exit and only applied it at the entrance - you pay at the T3 rate.

How to pay for the Dubai Metro

All trips are paid using Nol Card - this is a single card for all types of transport. These cards differ in type and cost. Each of them also provides certain advantages.

Video on how to buy cards in the terminal

Now I will tell you about the features of each card and what advantages it gives over others

Designed specifically for tourists, because the cost of the card is only 2 AED, and not 6 as in other tariffs. Most tourists think that this is a one-time ticket and buy it for every trip. In fact, this is not true and you can top it up at any metro station, or immediately deposit the amount for several trips into your account.

  • You can only pay for 10 trips, or 5 daily rates, then the card becomes invalid and you need to buy a new one
  • You can't view your balance through the app
  • You cannot apply for a 7-day unlimited plan
  • Fares are higher than on plastic cards. About the tariffs a little lower
  • Only with this card you can get an unlimited tariff for 1 day - price 20 AED
  • You can purchase a one-time golden metro pass to admire the city from the first carriage

Fares for travel on NOL Red

This is a basic map for regular travelers. Made of plastic, does not break, does not get wet, and is valid for 5 years. It is not personalized, so you can easily transfer it to friends, acquaintances, or simply sell it on the forum and save 6 AED

  • There is an application for smartphones where you can check your balance
  • There is a tariff - 7 days of unlimited travel at a price of 50 AED to 110 AED depending on the tariff.
  • Cheaper fares for travel.
  • Price is 19 AED, but the card is not personalized and can be sold
  • You cannot purchase the GOLD option for one trip

Fares for travel on NOL Silver

The gold card gives you the right to travel in privileged gold metro cars.

Tariffs for travel with a gold card

Where to buy NOL Cards

You can buy NOL cards at any metro station. In addition, there are machines for selling and replenishing cards, they are located at the stations: Ibn Battuta, Nakheel Harbor & Tower, Dubai Marina, Dubai Internet City, Mall of the Emirates, Noor Islamic Bank, Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall, Financial Centre, Emirates Towers , World Trade Centre, Al Jafiliya, Al Karama, Khalid Bin Al Waleed, Union, Al Rigga, Deira City Centre, GGICO, Airport Terminal 1, Airport Terminal 3, Emirates, Rashidiya.

In addition, such terminals are located at 64 bus stops.

Some bus stops have sales offices where you buy from a live person: Airport terminal 1, Airport terminal 2, Airport terminal 3, Al Gubaiba Bus Station, Gold Souq Bus Station, Jebel Ali Bus Station, Sabkha Bus Station.

Opening hours

Trains run every 7 minutes, during rush hours every 4 minutes. Remember that this is the departure time of the first trip. A trip across the entire red line takes 1 hour 8 minutes, across the entire green line - 36 minutes.

  • From Saturday to Wednesday: from 5:30 to 00:00 (working days)
  • Thursday from 5:30 to 01:00 (remember that this is like Friday for us)
  • Friday from 10:00 to 01:00 (closed)

Women's and gold carriages

The first carriage in each metro is divided into 2 halves - one of its parts is called “Golden”, the entrance to it is marked with golden lines at each station and only holders of golden tickets have the right to ride in it. The plus is that you can find a seat there even during peak hours, and it also offers an excellent view of Dubai from the windshield.

Only women and children can enter the second half of the carriage. The entrance is marked in pink and everywhere there are large inscriptions - Women only.

If you want to see Dubai through your windshield, but don't want to pay the Gold Pass. There is only one such VIP carriage and it travels one way from the front and the other from the back.

Fines

  • 100 Dirham if you entered the golden carriage with a regular ticket. Only in this case, tourists often get off with a warning. For everything else they are fined without mercy.
  • 200 Dirhams if you ride in a gold carriage with a regular ticket, but have a gold one with you to show to the controllers. Pakistanis and Afghans have already tried this trick before you.
  • 300 Dirham for sleeping at the station. This was introduced after workers from Pakistan took refuge in metro stations from the summer heat. The sight of the sleeping handymen went viral on the internet and authorities imposed heavy fines.
  • You cannot chew chewing gum - 100 dirhams.
  • You cannot drink alcohol or smoke at the stations - 100 dirhams
  • You cannot carry alcohol, even in closed bags. But I haven’t heard a single story about people being forced to open bags.
  • You cannot be drunk at metro stations - fine 100 dirhams
  • It is prohibited for disabled people and pregnant women to sit in seats. fine 100 dirhams
