She sheltered us in her unearthly arms for some time. also left behind. We have gone through everything. Our brief acquaintance with. We fell hopelessly in love. We have fulfilled an old dream - beaten! And finally, you can read the story about.

I hope you liked the story, and you will find on our site a lot of interesting and useful things for yourself.

We're back in California!

After taking a walk near the huge cacti, in the late afternoon we again found ourselves in the company of the prickly inhabitants of the desert. On the border of the national park, a colony of pretty cholla cacti grows. We wandered around the field, got to know them, and then rushed on, on a long-awaited date with Joshua Three. I fell in love with these lovely trees so much that I already called them in my own way - joshiks.

On that day, we not only saw our old acquaintances again, we also met the most beautiful sunset, which I will probably remember forever! The colors that day were bright and piercing, such beauty is worth living!

It's a shame, but the long road from Arizona to California took a lot of time, and we still didn't get to enjoy Joshua Three as we should. So, we decided, we will definitely return, and not sometime later, but literally in a week. After all, we had free days, which we still have saved! Very pleased, we drove in pitch darkness to a pre-booked hotel.

The full moon was approaching, and we had promising plans for that day. Return to the Valley of Death and acquaintance with its northern part, where he hid, as well as the hard-to-reach flat bottom of the lake called Race Track, that is.

When we arrived at the crater, a very strong wind was blowing outside (because of which we did not dare to set up a tent like last time in the nearby campground to avoid sand invasion). And walking along the edge was not very comfortable. We walked along the edge, we were blown away, tourists ran up, took a couple of pictures and hid in the car. What to do? Right! Climb inside the crater! There is no wind! We descended along the path of volcanic pebbles moving under our feet. Spreading my arms wide as in childhood, I ran to the bottom of Ubehebe. It turned out to be much more interesting down there! True, it was more difficult to climb up under the scorching sun, but doesn’t curiosity require sacrifice?

The road to the Racetrack starts right at Ubehebe and the entrance clearly says 4WD required! And we have a Chevrolet Cruze! And as I found out later, there is also a screw in the wheel! The people there drive in their big wheelbarrows as if they are in a hurry somewhere, and assume that there can be no one on the road except him! We drove at four in the evening, everyone was returning from the Racetrack, and we needed to be there in the dark with a full moon. And we assumed that there would be a full house on the spot. However, we ended up wandering around the flat lake all alone. Whether stones move or not, read in our report. We drove back in pitch darkness, and only the moon illuminated the road when it appeared from behind the clouds.

Cruz did not let us down this time either, and the driver's skill in general turned out to be beyond praise. Although I was as scared as only once in my life, when we were on the Civic with its low ground clearance on the road where Kamaz got stuck. Then, too, only calmness and a cool head brought us out of trouble. And a manual transmission, of course. But Cruz had a machine gun! Nevertheless, in two hours we covered these 25 km and set off to pitch a tent under the full moon. The head of the screw, by the way, fell off somewhere along the way, leaving the leg inside.

Another reward that night was the stunning starry sky. There, in Death Valley, away from the city lights, the sky is closer and more majestic. I didn't want to sleep that night! We sat at a table, drank tea and looked at the stars, thinking how lucky we are to see this beauty, and just a few hours ago we drove along the most difficult road. But I didn’t want to think about it anymore ... I just wanted to plunge into the darkness and the starry sky ...

And in the morning we had to climb the mountains and go towards the Sierra, because this time we planned to spend the night in a magical place! In September, the Tioga Pass was opened and we arrived safely at the park, although we were warned that some roads were now closed due to fires in the park. At first we didn't pay attention. And in the valley it became clear that all the campgrounds were occupied, and we might have nowhere to spend the night, in which case we would have to leave for civilization and settle in one of the nearest towns, the road to most of which is just closed. And we had one last chance to try to check into a campsite near the Mariposa Grove, where we planned to end the day according to our plan.

We were incredibly lucky, we took the last place! Moreover, the previous tenants moved out just in front of us. Disappointed and confused tourists drove along the road, and could not find a place for themselves. And it was still a weekday, by the way! Oh Yosemite! You are beautiful, but so popular!

We nevertheless went to the Mariposu grove, met the sunset there among the high redwoods, and then returned to the campsite. It was dark, of course. And we are hungry! We took out our ladles and a frying pan, but nothing was visible, and we had to turn on the headlights of the car to illuminate ourselves. Before we had time to cook everything and sit down to eat, a German neighbor came, judging by the accent, and began to scold us. He supposedly endured while we cooked food, this is normal and can be understood, but we can eat without light, they say the importance is great! According to the rules of conduct in national parks, it is forbidden to shine headlights in campsites after dark!

We were a little slow. And although the guy was right, it was unpleasant. He chose a very dissatisfied and didactic tone in order to clarify the situation. Yes, and personally we did not interfere with him - we only shone on our table. Of course, we turned everything off. But dinner was ruined. But it was worth waiting just another five minutes, and everything would have been peaceful and beautiful. Or you can just explain the situation more peacefully. On the other hand, we weren't the only ones in Yosemite that evening! Although sometimes it seems that all this beauty is only for us!

Be that as it may, although the Germans themselves love order, they made a decent noise from morning and night, snoring in their van. I wonder if there is a rule that you can not snore in campsites after 11 pm and before 6 am? We woke up early and went upstairs to look at the valley from above, from a high place!

Of course, a lot should be written about Yosemite and only with enthusiastic words. The beauty there is so tender and completely understandable to us humans. Everything pleases the eye - sparkling mountains, high waterfalls, greenery, lakes, meadow flowers, fearless animals! Everything is just great! And we, leaving further north, did not even think that in just a couple of days we would meet an even more reverent miracle!

California or Florida: A Comparison of Life in America. Part 3

03.11.2016

California and Florida are two southern states that have a number of their own characteristics and differences. The main difference is the high prices in California compared to Florida. In addition, California has a more developed IT industry.

- Job. What industries are developed?

— Again, it is quite difficult to describe the state as a whole. If you talk about Los Angeles, then it will be a service industry - restaurants, service, cinema, any cultural industry, media. Looking further into California, it is clear that in Silicon Valley it will be the IT market. If you look at Sacramento, there are a lot of construction businesses and truck drivers. Each city is somehow individual, so it's hard to single it out.

- In Florida, probably mostly entertainment and services. The whole of Orlando is built around the world's largest amusement park, Disney World. There are also a lot of cruise ports in Florida. Florida is washed by water from three sides, beaches are everywhere, hotels are everywhere, resorts are everywhere. There are a lot of tourists in Florida, so everything related to tourism is very developed here. Even I know people who worked in IT for tourism, for hotels. When I say “tourism”, this does not mean that you can only stand at the reception in a bar or change clothes and stand to entertain at Disney in Goofy.

“Let's just say it's the ultimate way a company makes money. You can be a system administrator somewhere, but in any case, it will be a Disneyland server.

— Yes, a lot of that.

- This all comes from the fact that Orlando is generally in first place in terms of tourists - 55 million tourists a year, I read. Therefore, all the work there is on Disney, on Universal, etc.

- And in California on Disney, on Universal, not only in the parks, but in the television company.

- Let's move on to salaries for key specialties.

- Well, let's talk about IT, we have people working here in California and Florida.

Moving to the USA is difficult, but there are categories of people who can afford it:

— Investors. It is enough to invest from 1 million dollars and in 2 years all family members will receive the status of a permanent resident of the United States ( EB-5 visa).

- You can also open a branch of an existing company in America or buy a ready-made business in the USA (from $100,000). This will entitle you to an L-1 work visa, which can be exchanged for a green card.

- Famous athletes, musicians, writers and other extraordinary people can move on an O-1 work visa.

- In case of harassment by the state for religious, political reasons or humiliation due to belonging to a gay minority, you can request
