In most metropolitan areas, “minibuses” may legally reappear on a number of city streets as early as next year. This was one of the results of the conclusion of the Transport Service Agreement between the Governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region. Thanks to him, the transport departments of both regions approved new "adjacent inter-regional" suburban routes operating at unregulated tariffs.

Long live "minibuses"?

This means that the carriers themselves will set the tariffs for transportation and benefits. For routes in the Moscow Region, in this case, the Strelka card only works as an electronic wallet, from which a sum of money is debited during the trip in the amount invented by the carrier. And Troika cards and social cards did not work on such routes at all until now.

In addition to paying in cash to the driver, most of the approved routes will be associated with “minibuses” by passengers also in terms of the dimensions of the rolling stock. More than 90% of them will be represented by small class buses (minibuses). Formally, these routes can only stop at certain stops from the approved list. But in the absence of proper control, the “shuttle” method of boarding and disembarking passengers in any place not prohibited by the Rules of the Road can be widely used on them. After all, the financial interests of carriers, in contrast to work under government contracts within the framework, depend primarily on the number of passengers transported. And not from remuneration for compliance with the conditions set by state customers of transportation.

The newly agreed routes were divided into two groups - "routes starting from the territory of Moscow" and "routes starting from the territory of the Moscow region". The relevant regional authorized body will organize transportation for each of the lists.

The Moscow Region Ministry of Transport has already begun holding tenders for the right to serve the newly approved routes. The results will be summed up at the end of December, and in January-February, carriers will be able to enter the routes. A little later, the selection of carriers and the Metropolitan Department of Transport will begin.

"Old Friends"

The routes of many of the approved ("established") routes are already familiar to passengers in the Moscow region. It so happened that several dozen routes had the approval of only one side - either Moscow or the regional, although they worked in both subjects of the Russian Federation. After the adoption, a new mechanism for settling relations between neighbors appeared. An Interdepartmental Coordinating Council has been created, and the lists of public transport routes are partially preserved as they were, and the rest are written from scratch.

The routes from the "regional" part of the register have acquired the letter "k" behind the number - this is how buses operating at unregulated tariffs now began to be distinguished.     By launching a fixed-route taxi or a micro bus in this direction, this will reduce the flow of cars along Mayskoye Highway by dozens. (people will get to the station by public transport, and not by personal), the money for the journey will go to the budget of M.O. In the spring-autumn period, children, the elderly, pensioners will use only accessible public transport (arriving by train in Sofrino, do not go to the dacha on foot along the roadway, but take a minibus), it will also reduce the likelihood of traffic accidents hundreds of times pedestrians!!!
