Skyscanner cheap railway. How to find cheap flights with Skyscanner? How to book the cheapest tickets on Skyscanner

In fact, there is nothing difficult in saving on air tickets and flying with the maximum benefit. I have been consistently buying flights only through skyscanner for many years, but I recently learned about some of the tricks of the site, which I am happy to share with others. In my opinion, this is the most convenient site of all.

How to buy the cheapest flights

There are several rules, following which you will purchase the cheapest ticket on this site.

1. If you are planning a trip in principle, for example, you dream of visiting Maldives , and it doesn’t matter to you which month to fly, on the skyscanner there is such an option as cheapest month for air travel to a specific country. By setting this parameter, the search engine will give you the cheapest prices for the whole year. Further, thanks to the scale, you can choose the cheapest day, flight, and so on.

Prices are available both in the graph in the form of scales and on the calendar. Just click on the cheapest ones and collect your profitable round-trip flight.

2. Probably everyone knows what to buy two-way ticket cheaper than one way often twice. That is, if you buy two tickets from the same carrier in both directions, it will practically cost you the price of one. In addition, in many countries, for example to Zanzibar , a visa is required to enter the country and it is issued if there are round-trip tickets. But this also applies to domestic flights around the country, both ways are always cheaper (I apologize if I didn’t discover America, but I considered it necessary to write)

3. I almost always take tickets not directly from the skyscanner, but go to the official website. Let me explain. If I get the best price from Flydubai or Qatar Airways I will most likely go to their official website and buy tickets there. This will help save another 400-500 rubles per ticket, but that's not the point. Skyscanner, whatever one may say, is not a complete list of all airline flights. Therefore, on official sites there is an opportunity to buy at a more convenient time, for example.

4. It is very easy to pay for a ticket, with a bank card. You simply enter all the necessary data and in a couple of minutes you will receive an electronic ticket for any flight by e-mail. If you are flying on international flights, it is better to print a ticket if it is not necessary within the country. Just go to the check-in desk with your passport, where you are already listed. For many years I have never been asked for a ticket printout (both domestically and in other countries). The only thing you need it for is to apply for a visa at the border, where you need a return ticket and a guarantee that you are not going to stay with them))

Skyscanner is an Internet service used to search for cheap flights to various destinations around the world. This is not its only function, since here you can also find suitable hotels in the place of stay, which will satisfy you in terms of price and other parameters. Prices for all services can be compared in real time, from several companies that match the search conditions. Flexible search engine settings provide an opportunity to find the cheapest tickets for the coming month. An additional advantage of the service is the absence of a commission on the purchase and other fees.

The main role of the service is that you can find the option you like by working with all the airlines connected to skyscanner at once. Here you do not need to check each one separately, as the robots will do everything for you and collect information in one place.

How to find tickets for 2019?

In order to find plane tickets to the place you need, the service uses a functional, and at the same time intuitive search engine. To get the result, it is enough to carry out the following series of actions:

  • Enter the city of departure. All airports that are located in this location will be listed here. There is also a function to connect the nearest airports in other cities, if it is not in the original one.
  • Next, you need to enter the city of arrival and a specific airport. If you specify only one city, all possible airports that support the direction will be shown. Here you can also connect stations from nearby cities.
  • The next important item is setting the range of departure dates. First, you set the nearest convenient date from which the search for a service in the selected direction will begin. In the next window, you should indicate an acceptable date for the return flight, which will limit the search.
  • You also need to set the number of people who will participate in the flight with you in order to book seats on the same flight. Here the gradation of adults and children is observed.

There are three different items in the top header that make it easier to use the service. One of them helps to search for round-trip tickets immediately, the second gives results in only one direction, and the third allows you to search along a complex route.

One of the standout features of the skyscanner service when searching for tickets is the ability to select special options, including:

  • Popular destinations from your city, which often relate to business and tourist destinations;
  • Weekend tours that offer weekend trips to various tourist destinations with round-trip tickets;
  • Special offers for May, which is very important to look for in advance, since during the almost week-long "May vacation" people choose where they can fly for a vacation.

How to buy tickets?

There is no “buy” button on the service, since Skyscanner monitors prices. But if you have found an option that meets your needs, then in a couple of clicks you can go to the desired page for the purchase. First of all, you need to find a suitable option through a search engine. Among all the proposed results, which are displayed according to the cost rating, you choose the one you like and click the "view" button. This takes you to the box office site where these tickets are sold. There you can already order and pay for air travel. Official site in Russian: https://www.skyscanner.ru/

How to save?

The skyscanner service provides information on hot tickets to popular tourist destinations. This helps to save a lot on flights. You can also take advantage of early booking, which starts three months before departure.

How to find cheap flights and deals with Skyscanner

Modern travelers are gradually weaning from traditional ticket offices, and they use search engines to order air tickets. Russia is no exception. The online ticket search system turned out to be convenient and in demand among millions of passengers. The list of the most popular aggregators deservedly included Skyscanner or, in the Russian manner, Scanscanner.

How Skyscanner works

The online ticketing system includes the following types of sites:

  1. Air carrier websites, which makes sense to visit only if you clearly understand the geography of flights. Otherwise, you will spend a lot of time looking for the information you need.
  2. Websites of agents or intermediaries, the purpose of which is to conclude a ticket sales agreement with the airline and get the maximum income. They work where there is a benefit, so they do not provide information in full.
  3. Sites aggregators- search engines for air tickets on network resources in automatic mode. Scans information from hundreds of airlines looking for the best price, allows you to find cheap tickets. Their database contains both scheduled and charter flights.

Skyscanner is one of the 3 types of sites that collects information about all the world's air carriers and airports, including flight schedules. The service cooperates with such large carriers as Aeroflot or low-cost airlines like Pobeda. Comparing fares, you select the desired flight, automatically redirected to the carrier's website and buy a ticket. You do not need to spend hours making the necessary route, taking into account all possible connections. The official site in Russian provides visitors with a flexible search system and convenient tools.

Why is Skyscanner good?

More than 25 million users use Skyscanner to book flights to any of 220 countries every month. The company's partners are 1,200 airlines and 45 travel agencies.

The main advantages of the site "skyscanner.ru":

  • buying tickets online without commission and additional fees;
  • objective information;
  • convenient search tools;
  • the ability to find the cheapest air tickets available;
  • cooperation with low-cost airlines;
  • flexible search;
  • additional services - car rental and hotel search;
  • convenient interface design.

In Skyscanner air tickets are available for booking not only a month in advance than surprise no one but for the whole year before the intended trip.

If you find a profitable air ticket, I advise you to take it immediately. Delay threatens to lose a profitable offer. Perhaps the next morning, or even an hour later, the ticket you like will be bought. This requires experience and knowledge of prices, so I advise you to monitor the cost of air tickets in advance in order to understand which price is really profitable, and which one only seems so.

If necessary, a special program helps to build difficult itinerary. Its meaning is that you will visit more places for less money, but spend more time. This is not always beneficial, because. you will need to eat and sometimes spend the night at a waypoint.

Skyscanner has partnered with low-cost airlines (cheapest airlines) where only hand luggage is allowed. But conventional air carriers also set different tariffs. Tickets without luggage will be cheaper.

How to find the cheapest flight ticket

It is understandable that the client wants to fly on vacation as cheaply as possible, while maintaining the usual comfort to the full extent. Knowledgeable tourists know that with all equal components (direction, type of aircraft, company) airfare is not the same on different days. That is, tomorrow's price may be cheaper than today's, and the day after tomorrow the same ticket will cost an order of magnitude more expensive.

So that the buyer can navigate freely and be able to find cheap options, maps have been created and are indispensable helpers for those who are looking for an inexpensive flight in the first place, and only then set a departure date.

Air travel map will help you find the cheapest flights from your city to anywhere in the world. It is useful when you are choosing where to fly based on airfare prices. You can find it by the link, or on the main page of the site in the search form in the "To" field select "Everywhere".

Low price calendar you will see on Skyscanner if instead of specific dates in the search form, select the option "The cheapest", or select a specific month if you know that you will fly, for example, exactly in November, but have not decided on the date. Skyscanner will show prices by day during the month, indicated by different colors:

  • red - high price;
  • green - the lowest price;
  • yellow - medium level.

He determines the price level by comparing with previous prices for the selected direction. Your goal is green prices.

How to choose a ticket

Even an inexperienced user can book a ticket using Skyscanner, just follow the steps of this guide:

  1. Go to www.skyscanner.ru.
  2. Select your departure and arrival points. Use the function of connecting the nearest airport, it is possible to fly to a neighboring city cheaper.
  3. Please enter travel dates within the acceptable range. Keep in mind that round trip tickets are cheaper than one way tickets.
  4. Specify the number of passengers - adults and children.
  5. Select the class of service (economy or business class) and click on the Find button.
  6. In the window that opens, you can narrow the search boundaries by specifying the airline, approximate cost, departure time, type of flight (direct or with a transfer), flight with luggage or light. Find out if a visa is required for a transplant in a foreign country
  7. Explore the details and select an air carrier.
  8. Opposite the appropriate option, click the green "Select" button. You will find yourself on the website of the selected airline, where you will book and purchase a ticket.

Many carriers encourage early booking and often arrange sales, profitable promotions, which the newsletter will let you know about.

For an additional fee, you will be offered insurance in case of trip cancellation, lost luggage, flight delays.

You can pay for your ticket with a Visa or Mastercard. After payment, you will receive a confirmation of purchase to the specified email, and then air tickets. Which can be exchanged at the airport ticket office for regular ones.

Registration and subscription

If you intend to become a regular customer of the service, it makes sense to register. You can do this through a social network, or by entering an email address and creating an individual password.

On the main page, in the upper right corner, click the login button. Next, the program prompts you to enter using:

  • Facebook networks;
  • Google account;
  • email addresses.

Now you can track prices for the month for the desired flights, view the best deals of the day, search history.

By subscribing to the newsletter, indicate the information you want to receive. Choose a city or country, and check your email periodically. News about price changes in rubles, as well as special offers from airlines for the selected destination, will be sent to your address.

Applications for mobile devices

Especially for users of tablets and smartphones, Skyscanner has developed a free application that retains all the advantages of the main version. It is enough to download the program for Android, and you will get access to the service offers anywhere where there is Internet.

If you need train tickets or choose a hotel for a comfortable stay, it is not necessary to specifically refer to the Russian Railways and Booking websites. You can choose an air ticket, book hotels, cars on one site.

Skyscanner analogs

To be fair, Skyscanner has serious competitors who search for flights. The main rival is Aviasales, a major aggregator offering cheap flights around the world. There are other worthy analogues. Just like Skyscanner, cheap flights, special offers are found for you: Momondo, OZON.travel, One Two Trip , Kupibilet . The rating of the best companies is compiled on the basis of passenger reviews. At the same time, the function is the same for everyone - searching everywhere for favorable prices for a flight, compiling the best route and additional services, such as booking hotels and renting a car.

Which is better: Skyscanner or Aviasales?

People have different preferences. Having successfully used one of the resources, the user often remains his regular client. He already has a personal account, he receives newsletters, searches for air tickets and hotels through a mobile application, he is entitled to airline promotions and additional discounts.

Services successfully complement each other, each of them has its own advantages.

To buy online plane tickets, and at the same time not overpay, it makes sense to look at the offers of different companies and find an acceptable option.

Do you know that more than 80% of Russians and Belarusians have never been abroad in their lives? Not a single drop! How, how can this be? Do you believe in such statistics? I refuse to believe!

Now I decided to fill the blog with useful information in order to make a small contribution to the development of a culture of independent travel.

I want anyone, even someone who has never traveled abroad and bought nothing on the Internet, to be able to quickly plan an independent vacation or trip from start to finish with the help of my blog.

The first question that a traveler faces is how to buy cheap air tickets to get to their destination?

Like many other travelers, I buy tickets online and use two search engines for this: , in the exact order in which they are listed in this proposal.

I enter my flight dates, destination and check the prices on three sites at once, after which I buy where the price is lower and the flight conditions are the most suitable.

First of all I go to Skyscanner

Why do I love Skyscanner?

1. Skyscanner often finds the lowest prices

2. Skyscanner is very flexible and comfortable search: you can specify in the criteria not the cities of departure and arrival, but countries or the whole world. You can also choose not specific dates, but the whole month or year and see which days are the cheapest to fly. Below I will talk about this in more detail.

3. Skyscanner shows ticket prices for low-cost airlines, including Ryanair, Wizzair, AirAsia and other European, Asian, Latin American low-cost airlines

I recommend watching a video in which I show the whole process of buying tickets online and tell you what you should pay attention to. If you prefer to read, then below the video is a detailed text instruction:

How to Find and Buy Flights Online at Skyscanner

1. Today we will be looking for a flight from Moscow to Thailand, but the same principles apply to any other flight.

It does not matter where you are flying from and where you want to land - in Rome, London or Johannesburg.

2. Where. Fill in the first field "From". This is one of the main advantages of Skyscanner - you can search for flights all over the country.

For example, you want to get from Russia to Thailand and you can fly both from St. Petersburg and from Moscow. Then you just type in the first line - "Russia".

The same applies to flights from Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan. You can choose your city of departure or the country of departure.

If you want to fly from Moscow, and the airport of departure does not play a role, then in the first line you should type "Moscow (Any)".

Accordingly, if there is a need to depart from a specific airport, you can specify its name, for example, "Moscow Domodedovo (DME)"

3. Where. Fill in the second field "Where". This is your destination. You can also specify a country, a specific city, or an airport on this line.

My favorite feature of Skyscanner is the ability to select “Everywhere” in the “To” column, then the search engine will show all flights from the city you need around the world, sorted by cost.

4. Routes. You can check the "Only direct flights" box, then the search engine will only find non-stop flights.

You should also note if you need a one-way or round-trip ticket. If you want to fly, for example, to Rome, and stay there to live, then it is more expedient to buy a one-way flight. To do this, we put a mark in the column "one way", but if you need a ticket in both directions, then we mark the column "There and back".

If you plan a difficult route. For example, Moscow - Bangkok - Phuket - Moscow, then choose "Difficult route"

5.Dates. Choose a departure date. Click on the calendar icon on the right. You can select specific dates on the calendar, or if your travel days are not fixed, click "All Month" and see which days are cheaper to fly.

For example, weekday flights often cost less than weekend flights. You can even set "Cheapest month" and find out the cost of the cheapest tickets of the year.

6. We choose the date of the return flight according to the same principle.

7. Passengers. We drive in the number of adults and children (from 12 years old, up to 12 years old, up to 2 years old) and select the class - Economy, Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class. The cheapest is usually in Economy class. After that, click the "Find" button

8. Result. A window opens in which we see which cities in (in this case in Thailand) we can fly from Moscow.

In our example, in October 2016, it will be cheapest to fly from Moscow to Phuket - a ticket with transfers will cost 359$ roundtrip. Ticket to Bangkok 380$

If you check the box “Only non-stop flights”, then Moscow-Phuket-Moscow tickets will cost $682

9. Prices. A price calendar appears. In the left column are the price of a ticket there, in the right - back.

You need to select one of the days so that the final price for the dates that suit you appears, and then click on the "Show flights" button.

Keep in mind that hundreds of thousands of people are looking for and buying tickets at the same time as you, so the prices in the calendar and in the table are approximate. The data is updated daily and taken from the cache. For the time you're looking for, someone else might buy.

You can also switch the calendar to a spreadsheet by clicking on the corresponding tab

10. Flight details. Next, a table pops up with available flights and prices, as well as an indication of the airline operating the flight. I always look at the time of departure, arrival and the duration of the transfer. To do this, you can click "More".

If the time of departure or arrival is at night, I try not to buy such tickets, since in this case I will have to take a taxi and overpay at night rates.

If the transfer is too short (1 hour), I read other people's reviews about the airport on the Internet. For example, in Minsk you can definitely make it in 1 hour, but you won’t be able to make a transfer in Mexico City in 1 hour, no matter how fast you run

11. Ticket booking. If the ticket suits me in all respects, I book it, if not, I click “New Search” again, check the calendar, change the dates until I find cheap flights that will suit me in all respects.

After the necessary conditions are found, click "View". A waiting window appears for a few seconds. During this time, Skyscanner redirects you to the website of the agency or airline. In our example, this will be Sindbad, but in your case, it can be any other resource with a lower price.

The essence of Skyscanner's work is to check the prices of all ticket agencies and airlines, and then show you from whom it is more profitable to buy a ticket. Myself Skyscanner sells nothing, but only searches and compares suitable options.

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a ticket on the carrier's website, but most often - from ticket agencies. Skyscanner compares prices from airlines and agencies and sorts the results in ascending order of price.

If the difference in prices on the website of the airline and the ticket agency is insignificant, I recommend buying tickets on the website of the carrier airline.

12. Buying a ticket. After you have gone to the website of the airline or agency, you must fill in all the fields.

The page may look different depending on which agency's website you land on. Usually you need to specify the Surname, Name in Latin as in abroad, passport expiration date, country of issue, your nationality, phone and email.

Be careful when filling out the form, especially when specifying name and surname in Latin. Often this data cannot be changed. Electronic tickets will be sent to the email you specified, so indicate your email.

13. Payment. We choose any method convenient for you, for example, with a bank card, write the type of your card, card number (16 digits on the front side), expiration date, name of the holder in Latin as it is indicated on the front side of the card, CVC code and click "Pay".

Some sites may charge additional fees for card payments. Unfortunately, you cannot find out about this in advance until you fill in all the data. For example, on some sites you will have to pay an additional fee for paying with a Visa card. If you have a Mastercard Debit, then you will not have to pay extra.

14.E-ticket. After you have paid for the tickets, they are sent to the email specified when filling in the data (see paragraph 12).

I don’t even print e-tickets, now in most cases it’s enough to have a passport with you or know the reservation number, but you can play it safe and print it or save it to your phone.

They look different. For example, like this:

15. Checking in for a flight online. As a rule, a few days before departure, a link to electronic check-in for the flight is sent to your email. To avoid queuing at the airport, I always check in online. If I fly with low-cost airlines, I print out my boarding pass at home. If regular, then I do not print anything.

16. Checking the status of the reservation. To do this, we drive in the name of the airline that operates your future flight in Google, the official website of the company we need will usually pop up in the first line.

We go in, select a language convenient for us and look for the words "Booking", "Manage Booking", "My Booking" or something similar. These words may vary depending on the carrier.

After the section we need is found, enter your last name in Latin and the reservation number (it is indicated on electronic tickets).

If we did everything right, we will get to the personal account, where we can find out the status of our flight or manage the booking (cancel it, reschedule, etc., depending on the conditions of the fare for which the ticket was purchased).

Conclusion: For several years now I have been looking for and buying cheap tickets through, because there is a convenient search, and the agencies that the search engine works with have a good reputation.

Skyscanner often redirects to the website of the airline itself, searches for low-cost flights and finds good discounts, and a flexible search by country and month cannot but rejoice.

To calm my conscience, I also check prices from other search engines:. I will tell you about their advantages and disadvantages another time.

How do you buy air tickets?

Convenient search engines for you! Sincerely,

Skyscanner is a completely free flight aggregator search engine that I really love. In this post, I’ll tell you why, and also tell you about what chips he has, and how exactly to find the cheapest flights.

To begin with, I will briefly tell you how the whole system for selling air tickets works in general. There are three components: airlines directly, agents and aggregators.

  • You can buy tickets on the airline's website, but you need to clearly know who flies where and where - as a result, browsing through dozens of sites turns out to be tiring.
  • You can buy tickets from agents, but they do not cover the entire spectrum of tickets because they cannot conclude contracts with all airlines.
  • You can search for tickets on aggregators that combine hundreds and hundreds of airlines, agents, and even search for charter flights of tour operators. Thus, you see all possible options. Airline search engines are already directing you to a specific airline or agent that offers the best deal.

How to find cheap flights with Skyscanner?

Cheap price calendar

The most important feature of this search engine and why I love it is "cheapest month" options And "everywhere". This is just an endless source of inspiration and ideas! It is with the help of this function that incredible routes are born at the same incredible prices. Great for those who do not know exactly where they want to go, but are just looking for an inexpensive flight. See how it works:

- Go to, Drive your city or neighboring city into the “from where” field.

- In the "where" field, put "everywhere".

- In the "when" field, select "cheapest month" - the search engine displays the most cost-effective options. He takes their search histories of thousands of other people.

Thus, in front of you is a list of the most profitable flights, and here fantasy is already starting to work, where can you go on a trip this time ;-) It remains only to choose and write an application for a vacation.

Of course, most of the inexpensive flights are from Moscow and St. Petersburg, but you can often find something interesting from other regions of Russia too. You can search in other countries and in general around the world.

Prices for round-trip flights from Moscow

Let's say you wanted to go to a hospitable place: walk in the mountains, drink wine, eat khachapuri and swim in the sea. We click on the arrow on the right opposite the country and see which cities you can fly to from Moscow, and how much it costs minimally. The cheapest flight is to Tbilisi and back for a little over 5200 rubles. We are going to select dates: in the summer, of course, there are no such prices (but if you look for six months, you can catch it), but in October-November it is quite easy.

Ticket options to Georgia

It is even more interesting if you specify the route in only one direction. Let's take Georgia again as an example, although this can be done with any country. The simplest assembly: we see that there is a ticket for September 13 from Moscow to Tbilisi for only 3770 rubles one way.

We travel around Georgia for 11 days (I already wrote about it), return to Tbilisi and fly to Istanbul on September 24 for 2790 rubles.

We travel around Turkey, eat delicious fruits, swim in four seas and after 12 days we return to Istanbul, from where we fly back to Moscow on October 5 for 3410 rubles.

In total, it turns out something about 10 thousand rubles for all flights, two beautiful countries in the velvet season and without visas!

I am not particularly tied to the time for work, because I work remotely, and this is how I often pick up the cheapest tickets. For example, I saw an option for 6,000 rubles round trip for April-May and bought a few months before the trip.

Instructions for buying a ticket step by step

Now I’ll walk you through the steps of how to buy cheap flights using Skyscanner. For example, I need to fly from my native Omsk to the Crimea in September, and I can return in October.

1. We fill in the fields “from”, “where”, and in the calendar we select “September-October”. Press the "Find" button. A calendar with prices appears, where you can play around with dates, finding a suitable offer for terms and price.

2. For example, I chose to go there on September 17, back on October 15, the preliminary cost is 11,521 rubles. Click the green button "Show flights".

3. As a result, the cost turned out to be even lower (but maybe a little higher) - almost 11,000 rubles, direct flights by Ural Airlines are generally excellent, cheaper than traveling by land! On the left are sliders where you can change the flight criteria: departure and arrival times, airports, airlines, travel time.

4. We click "View", and various options are displayed from different agencies, here it's up to you to decide who to buy from. This is the beauty of the aggregator - it compares everyone at once. I can only say that only verified agents get on Skyscanner, without any offices for one day, I have never had problems. They even reported changes to the departure time :-)

Prices for the same flight with different agents

5. I chose "Svyaznoy Travel", it is well-known, I press the "View" button, then it redirects me to the Svyaznoy website. Here you can see the rules for the return or exchange, clarify the baggage allowance and hand luggage.

How to save money on air tickets?

Try to select the nearest neighboring cities

For example, there are almost no cheap flights from my Omsk anywhere except India (don’t try to leave Omsk, yeah), but from Tyumen there are a lot of flights to Moscow for 4-5 thousand rubles round trip, so you can build a route anywhere with a connection at capital. Cheap flights from Novosibirsk to the Far East and Asia.

Choose flights with transfers or connections

In most cases, connecting flights are cheaper than direct flights. Of the benefits: you can see a new city or even a country without a visa (for example, in large cities in China and Singapore, 72-hour visa-free transit). Of the minuses: there are long and not very convenient night transfers.

Avoid high season

Usually, prices in the high tourist season skyrocket for everything, including airline tickets. It is most expensive to fly in Russia in summer, and in Southeast Asia, on the contrary, in winter. And of course, for the May holidays, on New Year's Eve, prices rise a lot, so I advise you to take these dates in advance, several months in advance. For example, back in winter I bought tickets to Kamchatka for August (the most popular season) for 22 thousand rubles, in May they already cost exactly twice as much (although there were a couple of days in spring when they cost the same).

Search for nearby dates

It happens that a departure a day earlier or later will save a lot. For this, Skyscanner has a low price calendar - with its help it is easy to find out when it will be cheapest to fly.

Subscribe to Price Change Notifications

In the same Skyscanner there is such a function - it is convenient for those who need specific dates in the desired direction. As soon as the price goes up or down, you will receive an email.

I start monitoring prices in advance in the directions I need, and I already know which price is low and worth taking immediately.
