Features of obtaining a tourist visa

Before completing the application, we we suggest you walk through the main nuances of obtaining permission to enter Bulgaria.

Documentation

Check out the list of required documents so you don't forget anything:

  • international passport + copy of its first page;
  • questionnaire in one copy;
  • one photo (as for a passport);
  • transport tickets;
  • hotel reservation confirmation;
  • certificate from the place of work;
  • confirmation of your financial solvency;
  • a copy of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
  • medical insurance;
  • consent to the processing of personal data.

Where to apply

There are visa centers in Bulgaria in 20 cities of Russia, including Murmansk, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Khabarovsk and others. A complete list of cities can be found on the official website: http://www.vfsglobal.com/bulgaria/russia/index.html.

You will be greeted by a start page with three buttons: "Moscow", "St. Petersburg" and "Yekaterinburg". To see a list of cities, hover over the "Moscow" button.

Carefully read the opening hours, and especially the hours for accepting documents and issuing visas. Applications are not always accepted all day, often certain days and hours are allocated for this.

How much to pay

We found out where to go with a package of documents. But how much money to take with you? Let's count:

  • 35 euros if you are not in a hurry;
  • 70 euros if you need to go faster;
  • 19 euros - service fee (does not affect the speed of consideration).

Thus, if there are still a couple of weeks before departure and you do not want to rush and pay extra money, then you will need 54 euros (about 4.5 thousand rubles). If you fly away the other day, then you will have to pay 89 euros (7 with a little thousand rubles).

Payment is accepted in cash in rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank on the day of treatment.

Timing

Without haste, a visa is prepared in 5-6 working days. Documents will not be accepted if you decide to submit them more than 3 months before your trip.

Urgent entry permits are issued within 3 working days. To apply for an urgent visa, you will have to come to the visa application center early. Documents are submitted before 11 am.

Nuances

Often, when issuing the first visa, Bulgaria insists that it be a single entry. If you receive such a document again, then you have every chance of obtaining a multiple entry visa.

Separately, it is worth noting that Bulgaria rarely refuses permission to enter, and if you have a multiple or double entry Schengen visa, then you can enter the territory of the state without a separate Bulgarian visa. It is important that it is valid throughout your stay in this sunny country.

If you have a visa of Croatia, Cyprus or Romania and it is multiple, then you can enter the territory of Bulgaria using it.

Why was my visa denied?

There can be several reasons for visa refusal.:

  • incomplete package of documents. It also happens like this: all the papers are there and they are filled perfectly, but the passport, for example, is expired or the questionnaire is left at home. Treat this carefully;
  • non-compliance of documents with the requirements. Filled out the questionnaire in lowercase letters - wait for a refusal;
  • providing false information or forging documents;
  • inappropriate photo (older than 6 months or not of the best quality);
  • There have been violations of border crossing rules in the Schengen area. If due to your fault there were problems at the border or you were expelled from the EU country, then a refusal is also possible.

Filling out an application for a visa to Bulgaria

Citizenship by birth is a bit more complicated: if you were born in the USSR (before December 25, 1991), then USSR is written, and if later, then the field is left blank. In the current citizenship, Denmark should be indicated, in the old - Ukraine.

Your Bulgaria visa application form is ready. It remains to carefully double-check all the data and submit an application along with other papers to the visa center.

Basic Mistakes

Consider the most common mistakes when filling out the questionnaire:

  • There are many sites on the Internet that provide the ability to download forms. Often these forms are invalid or belong to another country. Questionnaires for a trip to the countries of the Schengen zone are very similar and differ only in the "attributes" of the state: the flag, addresses of embassies, phone numbers, duplication language of texts. On our website you can download the application form for the Bulgarian visa, relevant for 2018;
  • signing the questionnaire only in paragraph 37 is not enough. Your signature will be required at the very end, on the third page of the questionnaire;
  • the most common errors are data errors (incomplete or incorrect information). Once again, pay attention to the fact that there should be no more than three errors in the questionnaire. All corrected places must be certified side by side with your own signature;
  • the color of your ink can also play a cruel joke. Ditch the green pen in favor of blue or black.

Summing up

Now that you have a correctly completed visa application form in your hands, you can safely pack your suitcase and plan your walks through the streets of Bulgarian cities. Have a good trip!
