Filling out an application for a new passport - the current form and sample filling

In 2017 - 2018, you can get a new type of international passport at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the functions of the Federal Migration Service in this matter have been transferred to the specified body. For registration, a standard application form is used, the form is approved by Order of the FMS No. 211, as amended. from 05.05.2015. In the article, we will analyze the procedure and rules for filling out the application paper.

The transfer of administrative functions, the issue of registration and issuance of international passports from the Federal Migration Service to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, did not change the application form; in 2017, you need to fill out the same form approved by the FMS.

A foreign passport allows the owner to leave the country for other states and is the main identity document outside the Russian territory. A foreign passport is required not only when leaving the Russian Federation, but also when entering it.

For adult citizens, there is a separate application form, which is somewhat different from the similar one developed for persons under 14 years of age.

An application for a new passport can be filled out manually by printing the required form. You can fill it out electronically on the website of public services.

What do you need to know when applying?

To obtain a new passport, it is enough to fill out one copy of the application form;

• check the completed document for relevance;
• all sections of the application must be completed;
• if errors are made during handwriting, it is not allowed to correct them, you should take a new form and fill it out again;
• when handwritten, write legibly, the letters should be printed, ink of exceptional dark shades (blue, black).

In general, the rules for filling out an application for a new generation passport are set out in paragraphs 24 and 25 of the Administrative Regulations, approved. Order of the Federal Migration Service No. 211.

What documents are needed to obtain a foreign passport

If we are talking about a new generation passport, then in 2017 a citizen over 18 years of age must prepare the following documents:

1. statement of the standard form from appendix 1 to the regulations approved by the Federal Migration Service;
2. Russian passport;
3. previous passport, if any;
4. for men under 27 years old - a military ID;
5. a receipt confirming the payment of the state duty for issuing a new passport;
6. photo - if the application form is sent through the single services portal, then in electronic form;
7. for a limited circle of people - permission from the command.

The international passport of the new sample is distinguished by the presence of an electronic information carrier and is issued for a period of 10 years.

After filling out the application and collecting the necessary documents, the papers must be submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia:

• personally to the territorial body;
• electronically through the Portal of public services.

To apply for a new passport, you must provide your fingerprints. In case of personal submission, scanning is carried out directly on the day of submission of documents. For electronic filing - within fifteen days from the date of confirmation of acceptance of electronic documents, the applicant should come to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to scan the pattern of fingers.

Processing time:

A new passport can be obtained one month after the submission of the completed application form and other documents to the Ministry of Internal Affairs - if the documentation is submitted to the department at the place of residence. If papers are submitted at the place of residence, then receipt is possible after 4 months.

Urgent production is possible within 3 days in emergency cases - when travel abroad is required due to a serious illness, death of a relative, the need for treatment outside the Russian Federation.

To obtain an identity document outside the Russian Federation, you need to prepare a standard application form and submit it to the nearest department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the MFC. If there is an office on the portal of public services, then it can transfer papers in electronic form.
