Certificate of employment for a visa to Poland

Before obtaining the coveted Polish Schengen, the applicant must prepare a certain package of documents, including a certificate of employment. A prerequisite for issuing a visa is the financial solvency of the applicant, i.e. You need to confirm that you have sufficient funds for the trip.

In addition, a certificate from the place of work is a kind of guarantee for the consulate that you will return back and will not remain an illegal immigrant in the Schengen zone. Practice shows that the vast majority of applicants have no idea what such a certificate should look like, as a result of which an incorrect document is issued, and this, in turn, leads to a refusal to issue a visa.

In this article, we will look at the main points of obtaining a certificate of employment for a visa.

If we talk about the form of the document, then there are no clear rules. The only thing that needs to be observed is that a certificate from the place of work must be issued on the letterhead of the organization. Each company has its own letterhead template, on which, on your own, you should issue a certificate. The letterhead must contain information about the employer, in particular, the actual and legal address (if different), contact details and UNP.

As for the content, there are a number of rules that must be observed.

  • First: the document must have the outgoing number and date of issue of the certificate.

  • Second: the certificate must contain the full title of the employee's position and the date of commencement of employment in this company.

  • Third: in the certificate it is necessary to indicate that the employee retains his position during the vacation. Some consulates require that the certificate must indicate that the employee has been granted leave during the trip. Ask the accounting department to add such a line, it certainly will not be superfluous for the Polish consulate.

  • Fourth: the certificate must necessarily indicate the average monthly earnings for the last six months. The amount can be broken down into months or as a single figure. Wages are indicated in the national currency of the country, in our case, in Belarusian rubles. There is no need to transfer the amount into dollars, euros or zlotys.

  • Fifth: the document must be certified by the head of the company with his signature and seal. In large companies, in addition to the director, the certificate is also certified by the heads. boom. If the company is small, only the director will be enough.

  • sixth: and lastly, in the upper right corner of the help, you must indicate to whom this document is addressed. You can indicate directly the Polish consulate to which you are applying, or you can simply write “At the place of demand”, which is also acceptable.

What salary should be indicated in the certificate for obtaining a visa

So, with the design of the certificate, everything is clear, now it remains to find out what salary should appear in this document. The higher the standard of living in the country, the more stringent the requirements for visa applicants. Fortunately, in Poland the standard of living is much lower than in Germany, and therefore a salary of 350BYN per month will be enough. If your salary is below the specified amount, then you will have to provide additional documents, for example, or a bank statement.

Can I buy proof of income?

What to do if the salary does not reach the minimum limits or the applicant is not officially employed anywhere? In this case, many begin to think about how to buy a certificate from work. Under no circumstances should you do this! If the consular staff suspect something is wrong, they will definitely check your documents, and if they find out the forgery, they will refuse a visa. In addition, you will be blacklisted as an "unreliable" applicant. Getting a Polish visa next time will be very, very problematic!

In this case, a sponsorship letter from an employed relative or a bank statement with the movement of funds for the last three months will come to the rescue.

Schengen visa without a certificate of employment

If you decide to get a Polish Schengen, but do not have a permanent job, then you can avoid issuing a certificate of employment. Officially unemployed citizens: housewives, students, schoolchildren or dependents can submit a sponsorship letter from a relative, for example, parents or spouse, to the Polish consulate. In addition, the letter will need to attach a certificate of income of the sponsor and documents confirming kinship.

Please note that only a relative can act as a sponsor. Strangers cannot be sponsors of a tourist trip, regardless of the nature of your relationship!

If you are an independent applicant who has funds in the account, then you can provide a bank statement with the movement of funds for the last three months. The movement of funds is an important condition for an extract. The account must have at least 35 euros per day of stay, calculate the amount based on the number of days of stay in the Republic of Poland.

Director of the company: how to issue a certificate of income

If you are the CEO of the company you work for, then in addition to your own signature, the certificate must also contain the signature of another authorized person. Thus, the consular staff will be able to make sure that the data in the certificate has been verified by another official, which means that you could not “draw” a RFP for yourself.

What do lawyers and tourism industry experts say?

Lawyers strongly recommend that you treat this document with all responsibility and in no case provide false documents to the embassy. The consular staff will definitely find out that the documents are invalid, and you, in turn, will receive a refusal and big problems in the future when obtaining a Schengen visa. The document forgery mark will remain a black spot in your visa history, so spend a little more time and prepare the required documents.
