The check-in area and boarding gates in Terminal A are located on the second floor. On the third are cafes and airline offices. There are also several smoking rooms on the territory of the terminal.

The transition between terminals A and B is carried out only along the street. Please note that there is no overpass entrance to Terminals B and D, so you can only get there from ground level. It is also important to remember that the entrance to terminal D is through the entrance of terminal B.

The Vnukovo 2 complex serves special flights of the leaders of the state and other countries.

The Vnukovo 3 complex is intended for business flights, Roskosmos aviation and flights of the Moscow government.

Additional Information

To make the journey more enjoyable for passengers, the Express Line service is available at Vnukovo Airport. It allows you to quickly go through the airport formalities. The cost of the service varies depending on whether the passenger is flying on a domestic or international flight.

Moscow Vnukovo International Airport is one of the largest air transport complexes in Russia. It ranks third in the country in terms of the number of passengers served. A unique terminal in terms of its architecture and functionality is currently being built here, which will replace the complex of obsolete airport buildings. Also here is the first underground railway terminal in Russia, providing fast communication between Vnukovo airport and Kievsky railway station in Moscow. The recently completed part of the terminal has been opened to passengers and is now serving domestic lines. Let's take a walk around the terminal and see what the passenger sees now, and what he will be able to see very soon.

A little information about Terminal A.

The project of the new terminal is carried out by JSC Metrogiprotrans. The project is based on the concept proposed by the German company Obermeyer. The total area of the Terminal is 250 thousand square meters. m. The terminal has 4 levels.

At the first (underground) level there is the Vnukovo Airport railway station, connecting the airport with the Kievsky railway station in Moscow, the station project was also developed by Metrogiprotrans. Also on the underground level there are technical rooms and underground passages to the Terminal building, to the street and to the parking lots.

On the second level there are the arrivals hall, luggage compartments, cafes, shops, passport control and office space. On the second level there are connecting galleries connecting the exits to the aircraft, transit halls, passport control hall, arrivals hall and technical rooms.

On the third level there is a departure hall and check-in counters for domestic and international flights, passport and customs control, a security check zone, passenger areas with shops and cafes. From the departure hall there are 26 exits with air bridges for boarding aircraft.
The fourth level is located on the mezzanines and bridges above the departure hall, there are restaurants and cafes, departure halls for VIP and business class passengers.

The main architects of the project are N. I. Shumakov and L. Borzenkov.

Like many passengers arriving at Vnukovo Airport on Aeroexpress trains, we will start our photo tour from the underground railway terminal.

1. Vnukovo Airport Station. Please note: between the rails there is a safety chute for fallen passengers, as in Metropolitan stations.

2. The station is in many ways reminiscent of.

3. Exit to the lower level of Terminal A.

5. Ceiling of the station.

6. The station, as well as the entire Terminal A, uses diffused or reflected light, which gives softness to the lighting.

9. Escalators are backlit.

10. The lobby is also like in the subway.

11. You can buy a ticket for both the Aeroexpress and both the Express and the Metro.

12. The lower level of Terminal A.

13. Terminal A architect Leonid Borzenkov and journalists.

14. Leonid Borzenkov.

15. An elevator connecting the lower level of the Terminal with the arrival/departure halls.

16. Ceiling of the lower level.

17. The second level of Terminal A: arrival halls.

20. Baggage claim.

21. Cleaning.

23. Baggage claim/reception hall.

24. This staircase leads to the unfinished part of the Terminal, where we go later.

And then we went up to the third level of Terminal A. This is the departure hall. It makes a lasting impression with its space. The high wavy ceiling with glass inserts and unusual columns-lamps, in which the light is propagated by reflectors, evoke associations with some kind of tropical forest. There is absolutely no feeling of being in a closed room. Mezzanines and bridges make it possible to use the space more efficiently: they house cafes, waiting and relaxing areas with sofas, as well as VIP rooms.

26. The third level of the Terminal.

30. On one side the ceiling is lower...

31. ... on the other hand, on the contrary. In fact, behind the advertising banner there will be a continuation of the Terminal, symmetrical to its part in the previous frame, and now there is an old building of Terminal D.

32. Reception desks.

34. Waiting room and exits to aircraft.

35. And here I found the first cafe of the Mu-Mu network, which I liked. I liked it because you can’t smoke in it, as in the entire terminal, unlike its urban options, which I always bypass so as not to inhale the tobacco stench and get a headache as a result. Well, the prices there, as in all cafes of the chain, are democratic: for 300 rubles, I ate two salads, dumplings, drank juice and tea.

36. Riga and Vilnius habitually wormed their way into domestic flights :).

37. Reception desk.

And now let's go to the part of Terminal A under construction, it still has finishing work to do. In plan, this part has a teardrop shape and is placed perpendicular to the forecourt and the already completed part. In the center of this wing is the trunk of a 40-meter tower for controlling the movement of aircraft and vehicles on the platform. Inside the hall, the trunk forms an elliptical space around itself, where winter gardens and a food court will be located.

Updated 09/08/2019

In this article, you will learn how to get to Vnukovo Airport in a variety of ways - budget and not very. Vnukovo is the only one of the three air harbors of the capital's air hub, which is territorially located within Moscow. Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo are located in the Moscow region. It just so happened that for me Vnukovo is the most dear airport, since I come here every three months. And all because the Hungarian low-cost airline WizzAir flies only from here.

There are exactly the same number of main ways to get to Vnukovo as to other airports, that is, four:

  1. Aeroexpress.
  2. Public transport.
  3. Taxi.
  4. Own car.

Below I will tell you more about each of them.

How to get to Vnukovo Airport by Aeroexpress

Aeroexpress trains to Vnukovo depart from Kievsky railway station (Kievskaya metro station) every day from 6:00 am (from Moscow) and from 6:00 am (from the airport).

Frequency of movement: every 30-60 minutes (depending on the time of day).

Travel time:35 minutes.

The last Aeroexpress from Moscow leaves at 00:00, from Vnukovo at 00:00.

Fare:420 rubles when buying a ticket on the website and through the Aeroexpress mobile application. In other cases 500 rubles.

How to get to Vnukovo airport from the metro

The metro does not go directly to Vnukovo airport. The most budget option: a bunch of metro + bus. Buses to Vnukovo depart from metro stations

  • Southwestern.
  • Troparevo.
  • Salaryevo.
  • Filatov Lug.

For non-residents of Moscow, it is optimal to pay for travel in two ways.

  1. Ticket "Single" - 55 rubles for 1 trip or 110 rubles for two (metro + bus to the airport).
  2. Troika card - 50 rubles deposit (refundable upon return of the card). 1 trip by metro - 38 rubles, 1 trip by other public transport - 38 rubles. A trip at the rate of "90 minutes" with transfers - 59 rubles. The main thing is to have time to transfer from the metro to the bus within an hour and a half.

Bus from Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station

  • Bus number and opening hours? No. 611 (runs from 5:30 to 1:20).
  • How to find: exit from the first car, into the underpass to the right, then left along the stairs.
  • Travel time: 40-60 minutes (traffic interval from 11 minutes).

Please note that the information provided in the article is not a reference. I recommend looking at the exact timetable on the Mosgortrans website. To do this, you need to drive in the route number, indicate the day of interest and the direction of movement.

From the metro station "Troparevo"

In December 2014, a new station of the Sokolnicheskaya (red) metro line Tropaervo was opened. It is located right behind the Yugo-Zapadnaya station and the above buses also pass next to it. But I would still recommend taking the bus to Yugo-Zapadnaya, since this stop is the final one, that is, there is a high chance of taking a seat and not shaking with luggage for 40 minutes in the aisle.

From the metro station "Salaryevo"

In February 2016, the Sokolnicheskaya line was replenished with one more station - Salaryevo. From here, every 8-15 minutes (the frequency depends on the time of day) there is an express bus No. 911 to Vnukovo Airport (the stop is located 15 meters from the metro exit). Travel time takes approximately 20 minutes. This route operates on the line from 7 am to midnight. Get off at the Vnukovo Airport stop (200 meters from terminal A through the underpass).

At the moment, I consider this method the best way to get to Vnukovo using public transport.

From the metro station "Filatov Lug"

The bus goes to the stop "Hotel" (intermediate). After disembarking, you need to cross the intersection diagonally and move towards the terminal to the underpass with the Aeroexpress sign. Walk about 500 meters. Bus operating hours: from 5:11 to 0:20.

Night bus H11

Since 2018, a night bus has been running between the center of Moscow and Vnukovo Airport.

Departs from Slavyanskaya Square (Kitay-Gorod metro station).

Working hours

  • From Vnukovo airport to the center - from 23:30 to 4:30
  • From the center to the airport - 1:00 to 6:00.

Taxi to Vnukovo

I recommend using the services of legal taxis, that is, those that are licensed to carry out their activities. In my opinion, now in Moscow all licensed taxi cars must be painted yellow. At Vnukovo Airport, you can order a taxi at the counters, which are located on the first floor of terminals A and B. You can pre-order via the Internet.

The main advantage of ordering a taxi to Vnukovo Airport online is a fixed price. That is, you will know in advance how much you need to give to the driver. Or you can pay the entire cost of the trip with a bank card when ordering a car and don’t pay anything to the driver at all.

A taxi from the center of Moscow to Vnukovo airport will cost from 1,500 rubles and this is a fixed price, no extra charges. You can also order a taxi from Domodedovo to Vnukovo, which is suitable for those who arrive at one airport and then fly further from another. In addition, when ordering, you can choose the class of the car on which they will come for you. Naturally, the higher it is, the more expensive the trip will be.

You have already understood that the main plus of a taxi to Vnukovo airport is a fixed price, but it is far from the only one. You can instantly pay for the order with a bank card or PayPal and no longer think about cash or that the driver will not have change. It is also convenient for those who arrive at one airport, depart from another and do not want to change their currency to rubles.

If a lot of you go on a trip (from 5 people), then a great option is to order a minivan. In this case, a trip to the airport can cost as little as 350 rubles per person, that is, even less if you travel by Aeroexpress.

Uber, Yandex.Taxi or Gett

One option to get to or from Vnukovo Airport comfortably is to use the taxi app. The main three and each can be downloaded to a smartphone, both on the iOS and Android operating systems.

  • GETT - enter promo code GTVKFYM and get up to 500 bonuses (1 bonus = 1 ruble). The amount of the bonus depends on the region.
  • Uber - Currently, the service does not provide promotional codes.
  • Yandex. Taxi - use the code kvtgmnqn get a 30% discount on the first three trips (the total amount of the discount is not more than 250 rubles). The discount is applied only when paying for the trip by credit card.

In Vnukovo by car, airport parking

Depending on the route and traffic load, you can arrive at Vnukovo Airport by car along one of three highways - Kievskoye, Borovskoye and Minskoye. If there are no traffic jams on the Kiev highway, then this route is the most optimal.

In the immediate vicinity, as well as not far from the Vnukovo airport, there are several parking lots. The cost of a day depends on the distance in relation to the passenger terminal.

Parking in multi-level car parks No. 1 and No. 2 or at the airport terminals. It is located directly opposite the entrance to the passenger terminals of the airport. Days of parking are worth 750 rubles in open area and 1 000 rubles in a closed box.

Long Term Parking No. 4 located inside the overpass ring closer to Borovskoye highway. It is convenient to enter it for those who travel from Moscow along the Kyiv highway. The cost of a day of parking - 500 rubles.

Long-term parking No. 5 and No. 6 located on Central Street. It has a convenient access from the Kievskoe or Borovskoye highway. Parking is located about a kilometer from the Vnukovo terminals, but you don’t have to walk. There is a free shuttle service to/from the airport terminals. The cost of the first two days of parking - 300 rubles, from the third and subsequent days - 250 rubles.

Pay attention to parking lots in Vnukovo with a free shuttle service. For example, on this one. Only from 225 rubles per day.

You get not only a free transfer, but also the following services, for which you will not have to pay extra:

  • Free baggage wrapping.
  • Client room with shower, toilet and wi-fi.
  • Free tire inflation and battery recharging.
  • Discounts for regular customers.

The free shuttle is available around the clock. Travel time from the parking lot to the terminal is only 5-7 minutes. You can reserve a parking space in advance online using the form above.

If you find out about other parking lots in Vnukovo with a free transfer, write in the comments and share the information :).

If you do not live in Moscow and travel according to the plan train - Moscow - Vnukovo airport, then you will need applications Yandex.Metro, which will lay the best route from the station where you arrive, then the point from where you will go to the airport (if you need a bus, then this is the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station, if Aeroexpress, then the Kievskaya metro station). For example, you need to find out how to get from Kursky railway station to Vnukovo airport. We fill in the "From" field with the Kurskaya metro station, in the "To" field with the Yugo-Zapadnaya metro station (I always try to use cheap public transport, not the expensive Aeroexpress). We see that the journey will take about 33 minutes and 1 change is needed.

Readers also once asked me how to get from Kazansky railway station to Vnukovo airport. The road in this case will be even easier, since no transfers are needed. I sat down at the Komsomolskaya radial metro station, drove 13 stops, got off, got on bus 611 and in 35-40 minutes you were at the airport.

Similarly, we lay the route from any railway station in Moscow. This can be done in advance at home on your computer or you can install the application on your phone (there are versions of Android and iOS).

How to get from Vnukovo airport to Moscow

All of the above methods are suitable - choose according to your taste and budget. The only point concerns the bus 611. When it arrives from Moscow, passengers disembark at the first stop after the turn.

When you flew in from somewhere and you need to get to the city, there is no point in getting on this bus and waiting for it at this stop - 611 goes further along its route, not to Moscow. You need a stop, which is located on the street. Central (about 5 minutes walk from the terminal). That, perhaps, is all that I wanted to tell.

Always yours, Daniil Privolov.

Vnukovo (VKO) is the international air hub of Moscow, located ten kilometers from the Moscow ring road. On an area of eight hundred thousand hectares, there are three terminal complexes (Vnukovo 1, 2, 3) for passengers and one cargo terminal (Vnukovo-Cargo).

This airfield is famous for the fact that it is in Vnukovo 2 that the flights of the President of Russia, as well as airliners of other dignitaries, are served. Vnukovo 3 is designed for business aviation, and Roscosmos airliners and Moscow government aircraft are also based here.

The capacity of Vnukovo is more than eighteen million people. The main share of passenger traffic falls on the Vnukovo 1 terminal complex. It is also considered a hub (technical base) for carriers: UTair, Russia, Rusline, Gazpromavia, I Fly charter flights and Pobeda low-cost airlines.

This air gate consists of three terminals (A, B, D). Terminal A began operation eight years ago (in 2010) and was recognized as the largest in Russia. Terminals B, D are located in close proximity to each other and are connected by a common pedestrian zone.

Terminal A can only be accessed from a separate entrance, but in the coming years it is planned to be modernized, during which it is planned to combine this site with terminal B, and dismantle building D.

Terminal A

The terminal building consists of five levels:

  • - 1 ground floor. Aeroexpress trains come here from Kyiv metro station. On the floor there are left-luggage offices, toilets, information desks, self-registration kiosks.

From the basement floor, you can exit through the underground passage to the Vnukovo hotel complex, which is a fifteen-minute walk from the terminal. Vnukovo is a two-star hotel with single and double rooms. The hotel is equipped with a park area with a lake, flower beds, playgrounds.

Floor plan and main infrastructure

From the railway terminal there are exits to the first floor arrivals area, to public transport stops, to multi-level parking and to the second floor departure area;

  • The 1st floor belongs to the arrivals area, connected to the railway terminal on the ground floor by escalators and elevators. There are three baggage claim desks, three information kiosks, two cafeterias, an airport taxi service, an unclaimed baggage room, two communication lounges, ticket offices, and a free passenger-police telephone in the hall.

In the right wing of this level, opposite the unclaimed luggage chamber, the procedure for processing weapons that the passenger wishes to carry is carried out. This service is located before the screening point and is intended for those who have already arrived at the airport;

  • The main arrivals area is one level above the first floor. The hall is divided into two parts. The right one is for domestic flights, and the left one is for international flights.

This space lacks a variety of infrastructure (toilets, changing rooms, information desks for transit passengers). This is where the check-in of transit passengers takes place, there are exits to the first floor for baggage claim and to the second floor to the departure area of the connecting flight;

  • 2nd floor - departure area. The most saturated hall for services and operations carried out here. The space is designed in the form of a vessel, in the narrow part of which all the main formalities for the departure of passengers take place.

Eighty-eight check-in counters are located here. They serve passengers of both international and local lines. Access to the departure area is free. On the floor there are also terminals for self-service check-in, information kiosks, bank branches, a post office, service centers, ticket offices, a cafe, a first-aid post, and a children's playroom.

There is baggage wrapping on the floor, and excess baggage payment kiosks are located next to the check-in counters. The first-aid post can be found in the right wing of the complex, the rest room for mother and child can be found on the left side, next to the boarding gate for domestic flights.

It also checks in bulky luggage and serves passengers with disabilities. An Internet cafe can be visited on the right side of the terminal next to the communication salon and pharmacy.

An infinite number of cafes, bars, duty free shops are located in the passenger boarding area, where they get after passing through passport and customs control. Each zone has a business lounge;

  • The last floor is the third. It is occupied by VIP lounges for business class passengers. There are also offices of major air carriers, cafes, restaurants, exits to domestic and international flights. On the same floor, the registration of transported weapons for VIPs takes place.

The entire aerocomplex of Terminal A meets all international standards. It will also be convenient for passengers with disabilities, since there is not a single threshold in the building, a “smooth floor” system is provided at all levels, with smooth transitions, spacious elevators and ramps.

Terminal B ceased operations in 2016, the airlines of this complex were transferred to the site of Terminal A. But if you look at the scheme of the official website of Vnukovo www.vnukovo.ru, you can see that Terminal B is now used as a separate building of the international passenger terminal of the VIP lounge .

Terminal D is being phased out of service. As of April 2018, it is used as an area for post-flight screening of passengers on some domestic flights. In the hall there is a children's room with changing tables, comfortable beds for babies up to 7 years old, playgrounds, soft sofas for rest and feeding.

Other terminal complexes Vnukovo

Vnukovo - 2

This air complex is closed to ordinary citizens. You can get here as a passenger if you are a member of a government delegation. Provides flights on all airliners a special flight squad "Russia", which is subordinate to the Office of the President.

A fleet of sixty-four aircraft of various modifications and capacities is based at the government airfield. The terminal has been in operation since 1956. In 2009, the new Vnukovo 2 building appeared, which is impossible to see due to increased security requirements and a high metal fence.

Vnukovo - 3

These are several buildings designed to serve VIP passengers. Whipport Vnukovo 3 - this is the name of the complex of the government of the city of Moscow. It is used for the reception and departure of city hall delegations and its guests.

Terminal Energia is the air zone of the Rocket and Space Corporation. Private business jets land here, as well as elite charter flights. Next to it is ABT Vnukovo - 3. It is able to receive VIP persons of private airlines or delegations in the amount of no more than fifteen people.
