A simple card allows you to use the halls twice a month, and costs more. Different banks have different conditions. I use unlimited Priority Pass from Sberbank, which I will tell you about.

Connection history

I fly frequently and visit airports regularly. There you have to look for free places, water, food, charging for the phone, the opportunity to sleep during a long transplant. All this is not very convenient.

I was periodically told that. I admit, I was skeptical about this possibility - where am I and where are the business lounges. But then I carefully studied the conditions, and before a long New Year's trip with 7 flights, I connected this card to myself.

In the case of Sberbank, the card is issued along with the package. It includes an unlimited Priority Pass, five gold-platinum cards free of charge, international travel health insurance for the whole family, a personal manager, and some other conditions.

Price

The prime package costs 2500 rubles per month. Not cheap. And it pays off only with frequent flights. Or infrequent flights with a large number of fellow travelers (for example, a large family). For the first two months, the package can be connected for free, tested, and decided whether it is needed or not. Many of those who connect it for free then get hooked on the service.

Here I am hooked. In order not to pay 2,500 rubles a month, you can keep on accounts with Sberbank from 1.5 million rubles. Then the "Premier" package will be free, and you can consider the saved 2500 rubles per month as an additional bonus to the deposit.

Some banks issue such a card if you spend more than a certain amount on the card per month. Terms vary, please check. But it's not a cheap service anyway. And, if you fly 3-4 times a year, it is better to buy access to the business lounge for money - you come and pay a certain amount for entry per person. This is also often possible - the price of entry varies from 9 to 25 dollars (from those halls that I saw).

How Priority Pass works

Priority Pass is valid upon departure - you can sit in comfort and eat when you fly somewhere. I once saw a mention of business lounges upon arrival at the New Delhi airport, but I myself was not in such.

You must have a boarding pass for the flight and the card itself. As a rule, after passing control and registration, you come to the business lounge, show it, say how many fellow travelers are with you (if any), put your signature and go through. The bank will pay for your stay in the business lounge.

Halls are different

Business lounges are very different. From absolutely chic with a huge selection of food, drinks and alcohol (for example, at Warsaw airport) to a crowded little room where they can bring you a sandwich if you persist (Goa airport).

I did not find any pattern in where the halls are better and where they are worse. Of course, the smaller the airport, the more problems with business lounges. Otherwise, you can't say something like "In Asia there are good halls, but in Europe they are bad."

Find the entrance to the hall

The Priority Pass application also indicates where this or that business lounge is located. Usually this is an indication of the terminal and the nearest departure gate. Usually, business lounges are located in the departure area, but it also happens that the lounge is located before passing control (for example, a business lounge in Vnukovo for domestic flights).

Every time I'm at a new airport, I have to look for a Priority Pass lounge. Often this is not easy. There were such cases that I did not find the hall. And I searched for some halls for 15 minutes. Unfortunately, there are no diagrams in the application by which you can quickly find the hall.

It is still impossible to rate the hall after visiting, write a review, read other people's reviews about this hall so that you can find the best hall at the airport. This is bad.

Departure time

Airports are huge, and it is often not easy to calculate the optimal time when you need to leave the business lounge and go for a landing. Employees of business lounges, as a rule, do not warn about a departure, but in the hall itself there are boards with information about departing flights. You can keep up to date with them.

Usually, when I enter a business lounge, I calculate the time and set myself an alarm. And then in a comfortable environment, you can forget yourself, and be late for the flight.

Keep in mind that a lot of time can be spent at border control and security checks. And, if you still have to go through them, then set aside time for it. Better yet, go and see what they are.

My personal stats

I have been using Priority Pass for almost half a year. During this time, I made 30 air flights, I managed to use the business lounges 20 times, and 5 more times I took two fellow travelers there. There are business lounges in Sheremetyevo in every terminal. When planning a trip, you can familiarize yourself with the conditions for receiving guests in the Business Lounge on the website of the air gates of the capital and choose the appropriate hall in advance. Prices in recreation areas and the range of services are different, but for children under 12 years old the ticket price is 2 times lower than for adults, kids under 2 years old are served free of charge.

Business lounges accept Priority Pass holders and other passengers around the clock. Travelers departing from Sheremetyevo via Terminal D can use the comfort zones in other terminals. There is no entrance fee if you have a Gold or Platinum Aeroflot Bonus, Diners Club or Elite Plus card from any SkyTeam airline. The MasterCard Business Lounge in Sheremetyevo is located in Terminal E, only cardholders and their companions can use the service.

Business lounges in Domodedovo

Departing through Domodedovo Airport - the Business Lounge service is available to all passengers, regardless of flight class. If you have not acquired a Priority Pass - there are other ways to expect a flight with comfort. Entrance to Domodedovo business lounges can be paid at the reception after passing through passport and customs control. In total, the airport has 11 business class recreation areas, most of which are owned by air carriers.

Unfortunately, Aeroflot's business lounges in Moscow are only in Sheremetyevo, and in Domodedovo, passengers of the largest Russian air carrier will have to use the Business Lounge on general terms. The Priority Pass business lounge is located in the gallery on the second floor, but sometimes there are no empty seats in it.

Several halls are also available in Vnukovo. The main thing that distinguishes the airport is the location of one of them BEFORE the control zone. Although it’s impossible to enter like this “from the street”, employees check the boarding pass.

We were in two business halls of Vnukovo:

• business lounge- the one before control. It is located near the Mu-Mu cafe and is available to passengers of both international and domestic flights. This is a standard hall, without secluded areas, but you can massage yourself in a chair for free. There is a set of hot dishes (meat, garnish), snacks, drinks
• Rachmaninov Lounge- after control, available only for domestic departures. Recently opened and quite nice. It is objectively quieter and better here due to the fact that you can sit in separate "booths" for 2-4 people. Food is about the same + there is a shower

Other Vnukovo business lounges: Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky and Top Lounge. The last two are for international flights.

Aeroflot business lounges

Aeroflot business lounges are located at 48 airports in Russia and 86 in other countries. This list includes the capitals of states, as well as airports in tourist centers and popular resorts. From Russia, Aeroflot planes can comfortably take off from large resort towns, regional and regional centers. There are six business lounges in Moscow Sheremetyevo and two in St. Petersburg: one each at Pulkovo Airport and Pulkovo-1.

Access to the Aeroflot Business Lounge is open to:

It seems that the moment has come when the next business lounge in 99% of cases automatically falls into the “standard” category. There are comfortable sofas, food and coffee too - that means everything is in order. Therefore, here we will talk about 1% of "non-standard" halls that surprised, disappointed or caused a desire to escape back to the common area.

✓ New York, JFK, terminal 8- Bobby Van's Steakhouse: an unusual interpretation of the concept of a business lounge 🙂 This is a restaurant where the priority pass holder is given a bonus $28. They can be spent on anything from the menu - steaks, burgers, salads, beer. If you go beyond the limit, you pay extra by cash or card. Swipe by guest priority - plus another $28. For $56 we got a burger (huge ones), soup and two bottles of water. But ... it was tasteless 🙁 And, of course, it was not possible to sit quietly there.
