Park near Kyiv metro station. Botanical State Garden of the National Agrarian University

Pechersky Park is a landscape park in Kyiv, it was created in 1981 on the slopes of the Dnieper. The total area of the park is 43.7 hectares. During the creation of this park, the slopes between the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, the new museum and the Naberezhny Highway were ennobled, asphalt paths were laid along its territory, recreation areas, steps were arranged, flower beds and lawn were laid out. In the late 1980s, the Singing (Singing) field was built in the central part of the Pechersky Park, and since the 90s, the annual city flower exhibition has been held here.

Beautiful trees such as Norway maple, horse chestnut, birch, hornbeam and decorative and valuable species of shrubs grow on the territory of the forest park.

The Singing Field is a traditional place for holding cultural events; concerts, festivals and exhibitions are regularly organized here. Every year in the summer, the national music festival "Kraina Mriy" is held here.

The plans of the Kyiv administration include the arrangement of landscape expositions from different countries of the world near the Singing Field in the Pechersk Park.

Amusement park in Pripyat

An amusement park in the city of Pripyat in Ukraine is now one of the strangest and, as they say, creepy places in the city. Therefore, apparently, the interest of tourists in this place is so great. In fact, the amusement park is one of the most contaminated places in Pripyat. And the fact that once this place rang with joyful voices, especially children's, but now it is quiet and gloomy, evokes thoughts of something unusual.

The park was located in the city center, on weekends and holidays it was just full of adults and children, there were always many attractions, and now it’s just frozen metal swings, boats, cars, a Ferris wheel. Like everything in the city, it is overgrown with lush vegetation.

Mariinsky park

Mariinsky Park is part of the Park Ring of Kyiv and is the oldest park in Ukraine. It is located along the Dnieper hills on the territory of about 10 hectares. The general style of the park is sustained in the English manner, although many lindens, maples and chestnuts naturally grow on its territory. Mariinsky Park is a unique monument of gardening art.

The Mariinsky Palace is a state residence that hosts events at the highest level. Foreign guests are impressed not only by the architecture of the palace ensemble, but also by the park of the same name. In front of the palace, the park gradually turns into a square decorated with patterns, which ends with a semicircular observation deck, which offers a magnificent view of the city panorama. The entrance to the park itself is made in the form of an unusual Art Nouveau arch, from which a forged fence begins.

The park is home to the most popular place for romantic dates - the Bridge of Lovers. It connects the Mariinsky and Khreschaty parks. Newlyweds leave locks with their names and colored ribbons here.

Park of Eternal Glory to WWII Soldiers

The Park of Eternal Glory in Kyiv is located on 18.3 hectares, representing a magnificent ensemble of a complex of man-made monuments inscribed in the ancient landscape of the slopes on the banks of the Dnieper.

Multi-level, with three viewing platforms on the left bank of Kyiv and a view of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, it is located in the historical part of Kyiv-Pechersk, from Askold's grave to the Lavra.

The Park of Glory is a place of memory for people, there are no entertainment attractions and even tents with food or cafes, people come to the Park of Glory to honor the memory of the heroes of the war and for aesthetic enjoyment of the views of Kiev, it is also one of the favorite places for newlyweds. Many of them do not forget to leave a bouquet of flowers near the eternal flame, in memory of the heroes.

The Park of Glory in Kiev is a memorial complex that includes an alley of heroes, with 35 buried heroes of the Great Patriotic War, an eternal flame - lit in 1957 from a fire on Mamaev Kurgan, a memorial stele over the grave of an unknown soldier, made of granite 27 meters, a monument to the hero of the USSR, combat pilot I. Kozhedub, and a memorial to the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933, built in 2008.

City park of Kyiv

The regular garden, which laid the foundation for the future City Park, appeared in Kyiv in the 17th century. Peter I himself took part in its creation, by order of which several vineyards and fruit trees were planted on the left bank of the Dnieper.

On the basis of this garden in 1763 a park was built, called the Tsar's Garden. Its ensemble was created by the park masters Fock and the Chamberlain under the direction of the famous Bartolomeo Rastrelli. Alleys were laid in the garden, pavilions, greenhouses were built, many trees were planted, brought from all over Ukraine. The area of the park in which the Dynamo stadium stands today was called the "Valley of Roses", in those days there was a lake on the site of the stadium.

By the end of the 19th century, the Tsar's Garden fell into decay. In the course of a large-scale reconstruction, in 1902-1912, the park was divided in two by Petrovsky Alley, over which an openwork park bridge was thrown. In the valley of roses, a cafe-chantant "Chateau de Fleur" was opened, which attracted a huge number of Kyiv public.

Today, the City Park is part of the Central Park of Culture and Leisure of Kyiv, which stretches along the entire embankment of the Dnieper.

Park Koncha-Zaspa

Koncha-Zaspa is a forested area of Kyiv, which is picturesquely spread on the right bank of the Dnieper. It is from here that wonderful views of the Dnieper bays open.

Coniferous and deciduous trees, bushes of buckthorn, hazel, blackthorn and barberry grow in the park. Between the bushes there are beautiful glades and blue lakes, among which the largest are the lakes Koncha and Zaspa, which gave the name to the whole park. The name of the park has no definite explanation; there are many legends that are difficult to call true.

Koncha-Zaspa is one of the largest and most popular recreation centers in Kyiv, where sanatoriums, restaurants and expensive buildings are located.

You can get to the park from the metro station "Vydubychi" by bus number 43 or minibuses at numbers 311, 313 and 314.

Taras Shevchenko University Park

Shevchenko Park is a small park near the building of the main building of the university in Kyiv. There is an interesting legend about the creation of this park. In 1876, Emperor of Brazil Don Pedro II, traveling through Europe, visited Kyiv incognito. One day out of three spent in the Ukrainian capital, the Emperor devoted a visit to Kyiv University. It is said that when he saw a wasteland in front of the building, Don Pedro advised the officials accompanying him to arrange a park there for walking students and professors of the university.

They listened to the advice. The arrangement of the park was entrusted to the famous gardener Carl Christiani. In 1890 the park was opened to the first visitors. At that time the park was called University. Soon it was renamed into Nikolaevsky (a monument to Nicholas I was erected in the center of the park). In 1939, a monument to Taras Shevchenko was erected at the same place and the park got its current name.

Today Shevchenko Park is one of the most well-equipped Kyiv parks. The park is decorated with an unusual fountain made in the shape of the Black Sea. Near it, amateur chess players traditionally gather to play a game or two. Recently, a monument to "Classic Grandmother" was erected in the park. Here is the building of the very first public toilet in Kyiv. Although this building is over a hundred years old, it still functions.

Khreshchaty Park (Merchant's Garden)

In 1882, the city authorities decided to lease to the Merchant Assembly of Kyiv the derelict section of the Tsar's Garden behind the European Square. So the Merchant's Garden appeared on the map of the city - now Khreshchaty Park.

After the construction of the building of the Merchant Assembly in front of the park, its territory gradually began to be put in order. In 1901, the Summer Theater was built in the garden with a shell stage, on which musical performances were given for everyone. This place was very popular among the people of Kiev. In 1982, the platform was demolished, and in its place was opened the "arch of friendship of peoples" - a monument dedicated to the unification of Ukraine and Russia, the most noticeable architectural element of the park.

The first two water towers of Kyiv (built in 1872 and 1876) are located in Khreshchaty Park. Today, after restoration, the towers house the Museum of Water and the Water Information Center.

On the territory of the park, in a building similar to a toy castle, the Kiev Academic Puppet Theater is located. The park paths near the theater are decorated with sculptures of famous fairy tale characters.

Sights of Kyiv

In Moscow, near the Kievskaya metro station, there is a park overlooking the European Fountain, located on Europe Square. The park opens before your eyes from any exit from the station. You can see the park with different eyes from the river, which will make it possible to make a wonderful yacht-restaurant in Moscow for city guests and Muscovites. After walking through the park, everyone will want to climb the Crystal Bridge - an unusual translucent structure.
If you turn left behind the bridge, you will notice a barely noticeable narrow path.
After walking along it, on the way there will be a lot of shops deployed "face" to the Moscow River. You should definitely stay here for some time to feel the atmosphere of this place.
Literally just now we were crowding at the station, among people, noise and hustle, where there is nowhere for an apple to fall, and next to it is a market with the usual hustle and bustle of people back and forth. After all this, suddenly - comfort and peace, right in the middle of the metropolis.

The benches are placed high enough to be able to admire the view of the river surface, passing barges and the tall skyscrapers of Moscow City. Returning back, it is better to go the same way, through the Crystal Bridge, which, by the way, has a balcony. Be sure to stand on the edge of the balcony and look at the landscape.
With the onset of darkness, the bridge lights up from the inside with lights, which will only embellish eco-tourism in Moscow.
After the bridge, you can first take a walk near the fountain, go to a store not far from here and buy something to eat, because at the station the same products are more expensive. Now you can head to the metro station. In the meantime, couples in love and tired Muscovites who want to take a walk after work will begin to fill the park near the Kievskaya metro station.

The Moscow Metro was opened on May 15, 1935 by the line "Sokolniki" - "Park Kultury" and over the two decades of Stalin's years it has grown with new stations, the rich interiors of which resemble an art gallery. 44 stations of the metropolitan subway are recognized as objects of cultural heritage. Since 1955, in connection with the resolution of the Central Committee of the CPSU and the Council of Ministers of the USSR "On the elimination of excesses in design and construction", the metro construction has abandoned expensive decor in favor of standard projects. The walk along the old metro began in Sokolniki, continued with winding squiggles along the Sokolnicheskaya, Koltsevaya, Zamoskvoretskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya lines and ends today at the Kievskaya Koltsevaya and Park Kultury stations.

The Kievskaya ring station was opened on March 14, 1954 as part of the Belorusskaya - Park Kultury section and closed the Ring Line under construction.

In 1953, Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev took over the post of First Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU, and among his first deeds was the perpetuation of the great fate of the people of Ukraine in the Moscow metro. At that time, none of the two existing "Kyiv" did not satisfy him. According to the results of the announced competition, 40 projects were submitted, in which the people of Kiev won.

The architects E.I.Katonin, V.K.Skugarev, G.E.Golubev worked on the project of the station, the interiors were designed by artists - A.V.Myzin, G.I.Opryshko, A.G.Ivanov.

Eighteen pylons are decorated with smalt mosaic panels dedicated to the history of Ukraine and the friendship of the Ukrainian and Russian peoples.

On the end wall of the central hall of the station there is a large panel with stucco molding in the form of flags and a mosaic portrait of V.I. Lenin in the center. Around - the lines of the anthem of the USSR, and under the portrait - Lenin's quote: "The unbreakable eternal friendship of the Ukrainian and Russian peoples is the key to national independence and freedom, the flourishing of national culture and the prosperity of the Ukrainian people, as well as other peoples of the Soviet Union."

The station was the last and most "rich" in the images of I.V. Stalin. As many as five of his profiles could be seen in the design of the station on the mosaics “Proclamation of Soviet power by V.I. Lenin. October 1917”, “Reunification of the entire Ukrainian people in a single Ukrainian Soviet state”, “Victory salute in Moscow. May 9, 1945”, “Friendship of Russian and Ukrainian Collective Farmers” and at the very end of the station a large profile of Lenin-Stalin was placed, which was replaced by a small portrait of V.I. Lenin.

It is curious that in the marble you can see the petrified branches of corals. You can read more about this on the website "Paleontology of the Moscow Metro": http://www.paleometro.ru/metro29.php

The station "Park Kultury" (radial) was opened on May 15, 1935 as part of the first launch section of the Moscow Metro - "Sokolniki" - "Park Kultury" with a branch line "Okhotny Ryad" - "Smolenskaya".

Station "Park Kultury" (ring) was opened on January 1, 1950. Architect I.E. Rozhin. In the early years of its existence, the station was often indicated on the diagrams under the name "Park of Culture named after Gorky". To get to the favorite vacation spot of Muscovites in the 1930s-1950s, the townspeople had to go to the opposite bank of the Moskva River along the long Crimean bridge. From time to time there were ideas of renaming the station to "Krymskaya" or "Krymsky Most".

The pylons of the station hall are decorated with 26 white marble bas-reliefs by S.M. Rabinovich, depicting the rest of the Soviet youth.

HOW TO GET TO: Art. Metro Kyiv

ADDRESS: Moscow, From the railway station across the crystal bridge.

This metropolitan park is located right next to the Kyiv metro station. You go out through any exit, and before you opens a magnificent view of the European Fountain, which is located on Europe Square. We head towards it and climb onto the translucent bridge. By the way, it is called "crystal" and is unusual in itself.

After the bridge, you need to turn left, go down a narrow, inconspicuous path and continue along it. On the way, a large number of benches appear, deployed to the Moscow River. In this place you need to spend some time and feel its atmosphere.

Your path began at the ring metro station, among the hustle and bustle of people, where people are simply invisible, next to the market with its usual confusion. And now, after that - suddenly a "paradise".

Relax on the benches, they are located quite high, which allows you to admire a wonderful view: barges floating along the river, skyscrapers of Moscow City.

Have a rest? You can go back. It is better to return just through the "crystal" bridge. It has a balcony. If you are not afraid of heights, be sure to stand on the edge.

At night, the bridge glows from the inside, which will add positive emotions to you. After the bridge, do not go straight to the subway, take a walk near the fountain. Go to the grocery store located nearby and buy something to eat, then you will not need to buy expensive at the station. The park near the Kyiv metro station is cozy in itself, but not very quiet - the station, after all.

In the evening, romantic couples like to gather here. And don't be "greedy", be sure to tell your friends and family about this place. Joy just needs to be shared.

To actively relax and have fun with friends, visit Gorky Park or the Stunt Base - it is just a short walk from Kievskaya. And just one metro station is the Moscow Zoo - a good option where to go to the shop. Well, after that you can slowly walk to the Old Arbat.

In the middle of the 20th century, Kyiv was known as one of the greenest cities in the world. “I have seen many parks in cities, but for the first time I see a city in a park,” is how, according to rumors, Charles de Gaulle reacted when he first came to Kyiv. Lennox Lewis also expressed his enthusiasm for the Ukrainian capital: “This is an amazing city - the trees in it grow higher than the houses!”. Many celebrities note how beautiful the parks of Kyiv are.

Since then, unfortunately, much has changed for the worse. In the place of many green parks in Kyiv, through the fault of greedy developers, faceless skyscrapers and shopping centers have grown.

But in the city of Kiya there are still beautiful green places where you can take a break from the "aroma" and noise of the big city.

Today we will tell you about the best parks and forests in Kyiv.

Pushcha-Voditsa

One of the oldest forest areas. Back in the 11th century, the sounds of horns and the barking of dogs were heard here. It was local princes with warriors who went hunting.

The name of the forest and the village is derived from the "dense forest" - "Forest", and the name of the river Voditsa that no longer exists.

At the end of the 19th century, after suburban recreation came into fashion instead of distant resorts, a holiday village was organized here. And in 1904, the first tram was put into operation.

Today there are more than 40 sanatoriums and rest houses.

After all, the local magical air, filled with ozone and pine aromas, is not inferior to the best resorts of Crimea in terms of healing effects.

Koncha-Zaspa

A forest area on the opposite side of the City from Pushcha.

There are two legends about the origin of the name. The first tells about the Slavic heroes, on the eve of the appearance of the enemy, who woke up their brothers with the cry “stop sleeping!”. The second - nods at the fortified shaft "End of the backfill", erected during the war with the Commonwealth.

There are a lot of lakes here, including Koncha and Zaspa (another version of the name), rivers, flood meadows, relatively close to the Dnieper. Wealthy places. But there is a nuance.

After the transfer of the capital of the Ukrainian SSR from Kharkov to Kyiv in 1934, Koncha-Zaspa was chosen by those in power. Government dachas crawled out of the ground like mushrooms after rain. Many kilometers of fences along the highway have become not uncommon, but, on the contrary, the rule.

After the collapse of the Union, the example of the nomenklatura was followed by new "masters of life". Today Koncha-Zaspa is one of the most expensive districts of the capital and suburbs.

But we are interested in these places not by the palaces of the modern "elite".

Dnieper bays, pine-oak forest, transparent lakes, flowering meadows - these are the advantages of Koncha-Zaspa. And although "thanks" to the extensive development, you will no longer see that "early" beauty, these forests and meadows still remain one of the most charming in the country.

Trukhanov island

450 hectares of forest and clean air, named after the Polovtsy Tugorkhan, the father of the wife of Prince Svyatopolk Izyaslavich, who built a residence for his wife on the island (you see, he loved it very much).

In the 19th century, it began to be actively used by the people of Kiev for out-of-town recreation. They went here by boat (there was no bridge yet), families for the whole day.

Soon a steam mill and ship repair workshops were built here. In parallel, overcoming the terrible resistance of the city authorities, they built a settlement for workers, which lasted right up to 1943, when it was burned by the Germans.

In 1918, the ancestors of the Fritz, who destroyed the village in 1943, organized the first open public beach.

The idea caught on. And how!

And after 1957, when it was erected, Trukhanov completely turned into the favorite vacation spot of the townspeople.

It remains so to this day.

Long beaches (including the Central), the lake, the inlets of the Dnieper and the Desenka River. Lots of trees, cozy meadows and secluded clearings. Paradise, both for outdoor enthusiasts and for fans of lazy tanning.

Park of Friendship of Peoples

It was created in the early 70s of the 20th century, in the Chertoriy tract. The main part is divided into zones, including a memorial one, with 15 species of plants, as a sign of friendship between the republics of the USSR (oh, there was a time!), beach, children's and sports.

Hydropark

This area on two islands, located next to Trukhanov, largely repeated the fate of its neighbor.

In the 19th century, the future Hydropark became home to the workers of the factory for the manufacture and repair of artillery pieces (later Arsenal). They settled in the bridgehead settlement, named after the location in front of the Nikolaevsky chain bridge. Burnt down in 1943.

The Hydropark acquired its modern look in 1965–1968, when it was solemnly opened on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution.

365 hectares filled with forests, attractions, sports fields, and an insane amount of cafes.

It is also known for the gym, built by lovers of a sports lifestyle for their hard-earned money, a lot of beaches (including for children), and a large number of vacationers. However, this is not a problem of any Hydropark.

Goloseevsky Park. M. Rylsky

In 1957, in the northern part of the heavily damaged during the wars and revolution, but still vast Goloseevsky forest, a beautiful forest was organized. The emeralds that brought him in 1960 the title of "monument of garden and park art of republican significance" were a cascade of four ponds and a successful alternation of plots of a regular style, planted with Cossack juniper, arborvitae, willow and spruce, with natural (landscape) plots - oak, birch, maple.

In 1964, the park was named after the poet Maxim Rylsky, who died that year and lived on the outskirts of the park.

Now there is a boat station, a lot of pedestrian and bicycle paths, children's and sports grounds, attractions and cafes at your service.

And most importantly - a stone's throw from the green bulk of the Goloseevsky forest, adjacent to the other side, and a little further almost reaching the Dnieper.

Two monasteries, the font of the Spaso-Preobrazhenskaya desert, the National complex "Expocenter of Ukraine" were lost in the forest.

As well as hidden places in the depths, where the foot of a person rarely steps.

Park of Partisan Glory

A piece of the Nikolsky forest, allocated in 1965 for the development of a regional park of culture and recreation. Five years later, he, named after the partisans who fought in World War II, was already receiving visitors. Six zones are equipped here, the central of which is a memorial one - with a museum, partisan dugouts and other attributes of the life of the people's avengers.

Also of the highlights can be called a track for running and cycling. Rope park, just created for active recreation with the whole family. As many as 700 meters of rope trails for all ages. And, of course, more than 100 hectares of greenery, dozens of meadows, fountains and a couple of lakes.

Trees help people and it is our responsibility to take care of them. Moderate the appetites of those who, thinking only about momentary profit, strive to lime another square in the bud. Plant new seedlings and do not spoil those that are already growing.

Otherwise, only a memory will remain of life on earth.
