You can also get to Baden-Baden by bus. But I would not recommend this option. It seems to me that the train or tram is more convenient. This is because buses leave from Karlsruhe Airport and you will need to get there first. But if you arrive in Karlsruhe by plane and go to Baden-Baden without stopping in the city, then the bus will be the most convenient option for you. You need to take bus number 205. It departs from Karlsruhe Airport and arrives in Baden-Baden at the train station. The bus leaves about once an hour. It takes about half an hour on the way.
