In addition to its main purpose - the transmission of television and radio signals, the tower also serves as a tourist attraction, is considered one of the symbols of Tokyo. Every year, more than 2.5 million tourists visit the observation decks, halls and museums of the tower, and in total, about 150 million people have visited it since its opening.
