Lizaveta Petrovna imagined her old age as follows: a quiet, cozy village house, tulle curtains on the windows, a stove, creaking floorboards, Vaska the cat. A small garden - carrots, parsley, cucumbers ... The morning cock crow, the night starry sky, the crackling of branches in the forest. In summer, the house is filled with noise and bustle. Children and grandchildren are coming. Lizaveta Petrovna only has time to put fragrant cabbage soup and ruddy pies on the table. In the evenings, grandfather builds a fire, takes out a samovar, and sings the songs of her youth. Birds chirp, apples crunch on teeth, grasshoppers chirp all night long. Hands, although weakened over the years, can still do something. And wash, and wash, and tidy up, and knit socks for the beloved youngest bully-great-grandson. Lizaveta Petrovna's parents, her grandparents met such old age.

But it turned out differently for her. She buried her husband early, and was not yet 50. My son-in-law made good money, but he spent all his money in casinos and slot machines. I had to give up an old village house for debts. Lizaveta Petrovna moved in with her daughter in a two-room apartment. Grandchildren were born, and the grandmother began to interfere, even create problems. Either he will forget the kettle on the stove, or he will not close the door, or he will get lost in three courtyards. Then there was a stroke, and another. There was no money for a nurse; relatives could not go after a semi-paralyzed granny. The daughter and son-in-law suffered for half a year and took Lizaveta Petrovna to a nursing home - at least there was care.

And stretched a series of harsh everyday life. Alien hands roughly turned Lizaveta Petrovna over, alien eyes watched angrily as she spilled the soup, dropped pieces of porridge from her mouth. A strange voice gave orders indifferently. Her frail body was wrapped in someone else's official dressing gown. And for days on end she lay face to the wall and thought only about one thing: “How long will it be? .. After all, I will die - and there will be no one around.”

And for days on end she lay face to the wall and thought only of one thing: “How much longer? ...”

At first, my daughter went regularly. She carried some sweets, sweets, which Lizaveta Petrovna took care of so tenderly that they stale in the nightstand until a white coating on the chocolate icing. Then a great-grandson was born, they moved to the other end of the city, they visited my grandmother less and less. And she herself reacted less and less to her surroundings, confusing events and dates, names and faces.

Lies and looks into the void with faded eyes. Minutes turn into hours, hours into days, days into weeks, weeks into months. She lies in a sack and does not know if she is alive or dead already. Little hands will not reach out to her, they will not hug her neck, her childish voice will not call affectionately “woman”. The world froze, as if stopped. Nothing happens, nothing is wanted.

- Unfortunately, this is a common situation for Russian nursing homes and disabled people. The saddest thing is that older people lose their motivation and interest in life, and with them their mental activity and, in general, their connection with reality, comments Anna Rusakova, Executive Director of the Old Age for Joy Charitable Foundation. - The staff of the institution does not have any physical ability to organize leisure time for the elderly, even just to talk to them. There are often more than 50 bedridden patients per day for one nurse. And even if artists come, seriously ill grandparents do not see them, because they cannot walk to the hall where the charity concert is taking place on their own. No one will speak for each chamber separately. A person bedridden, completely devoid of attention and emotional support, tunes in to “survival”, begins to think about imminent death and be sad. As a result, he completely withdraws into his own world, much more comfortable than what surrounds him.

Even if artists come, seriously ill grandparents do not see them, because they cannot go to the concert hall on their own

This story happened in a nursing home deep near Tambov. Lizaveta Petrovna hadn't spoken for several years, didn't sit down, didn't get out of bed. And then a miracle happened in the life of a lonely grandmother.

- A healthy guy comes in, right with a button accordion, sits down in the aisle between the beds and opens his bandura. I thought, my mind decided that this is happening! And he sang - we all died. How well she sings, - says a neighbor in the ward. - They clapped him for a long time. I looked into her corner - fathers! And she claps! And we thought she no longer hears, and does not understand anything. Another time he came - the nanny lifted her pillow, planted it. She moves her lips, as if singing along, looks at us and cries. I say to her: “Lizaveta, look, soon you will go dancing!” Then she laughed.

Charitable Foundation "Old Age in Joy" has been organizing classes for lonely old people in nursing homes who are unable to move independently for five years now. Artists, musicians and caregivers come to bedridden patients, who communicate with grandparents, sing songs with them, read poetry, take them for a walk, work with feelings and emotions. That is, they arrange a short but regular holiday, actually bringing them back to life.

Charitable Foundation "Old Age in Joy" has been organizing classes for lonely old people who are unable to move independently for five years

Now the Foundation needs to raise 841,424 rubles to implement a program to support lonely old people in the Rzhev boarding house for the elderly and disabled, where there are 300 bedridden patients who have difficulty moving. This money will be used to pay for a year of work for two specialists responsible for care, communication and walks, and one accordion player who will arrange concerts for grandmothers three times a week.

– Caregivers are specially trained nannies who treat our grandparents with love and warmth. Once again they will hug, caress, ask about life, - Anna Rusakova hands me a photograph in which four young women roll carriages with happy old men. - At first, the patients treat the walk with distrust. For them, going outside is like flying into space. But then they get into the taste so much that a whole queue for export is formed. Many have seen nothing but a gray piece of plaster for years. For some, a walk becomes an incentive to live until spring.

For some, a walk becomes an incentive to live until spring.

Old people rejoice at communication and attention, like children. Payment for the project will be the best gift for them for the New Year. Every 100 rubles is an hour of work for a nanny. Each such light hour for grandparents is a stimulus to life. Do not be lazy, make a few movements with the mouse, and you will give the whole world to hundreds of elderly people. This is the joy of creativity, and the opportunity to be active, and a warm emotional atmosphere. Happiness is not measured by money, but in this case, your money will help make lonely old people happier and their lives longer.

Their job now is to come to the dining room or to the concert on their own. And the feat is to go for a walk and wind an extra circle on it. They are "still in service". And they try hard to keep up. But in the eyes of these grandfathers and grandmothers it is read: they would not wish such a life ending to anyone. On the eve of Victory Day, TUT.BY visited a nursing home for the elderly and disabled and saw how the old age of those whose youth was scorched by the war passes.

About 50 such old people now live in the Vitebsk boarding house for the elderly and disabled. Among them are 12 participants and 8 invalids of the Great Patriotic War, 12 former prisoners of fascist camps. 11 people were awarded orders and medals for their work during the hard times of the war. Three guests are from families where servicemen died.

The old people are returning from the concert. Discuss how amateur artists performed. “The concert was supernaturally great!” — admires one grandfather.

“We have a special attitude towards the participants and invalids of the war. They live in the comfort ward, one person per room. And so usually two people are accommodated in a boarding house. The veterans have good, comfortable rooms, they have a bathroom, a toilet, a loggia, a refrigerator, a TV,”- says Angelica Pivovarova.

They come here only by voluntary consent. The elderly person himself makes this decision - to go to a nursing home.

Elderly people are waiting to be invited to the dining room. They feed in the boarding house five times a day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, kefir at night.

The boarding house has a Catholic chapel in honor of St. John of God (pictured), as well as an Orthodox church of Our Lady of Zhirovichi.

An employee of the boarding school does not condemn the children and grandchildren of her wards: “Most have relatives. But elderly family members need special care, special medical and psychological assistance. Not all children or grandchildren can provide it. Many work, and an elderly sick person sits at home alone all day. There are cases when children live far away. Of course, nothing can replace a family. Theoretically, it is better at home, but in fact such old people are better and safer here. Here no one will lie unattended: the nurse will immediately bring the duck, and the laundress is nearby ... "

The oldest ward is 96 years old. And on average these people are 85. But life is life. In a nursing home, romantic stories happen. One grandmother walked around in old sports trousers, completely waved her hand at herself. And then a new one appeared in the boarding school - a very brave-looking grandfather. And the woman blossomed before her eyes. Shine in the eyes, beautiful dresses, brooches, handkerchiefs, going for walks! The object of her attention seems to reciprocate ...

They try to entertain old people all the time. “We have concerts, dance evenings, chess and checkers competitions, various interest clubs, and our own library. Schoolchildren and students constantly come here - they listen to the memories of our veterans. Previously, the old people themselves went to schools, but now their strength is not the same, so young people come here. In general, the cultural program here is such that if you talk about everything, then your notebook will not be enough. Well, on May 9, we generally have a full house, ” smiles Angelica Valerievna.

Pensioners find a real outlet in the games room and library. Its owner, Galina Khmylnikova, has created almost home comfort here.

It is very difficult to show unofficial love. “Here we need not just patience, but a special understanding of these people. After all, they are very well deserved. Therefore, our workers need to clean up their pride in front of these old people. Listen to them. This is the transfer of experience from one generation to another,- says the head of the department.

But… All the grandparents we talked to avoided the word boarding school. However, they did not call their place of residence home either. Most often they said evasively: "Here"

History first. Evgenia Pavlova, child of war

Evgenia Konstantinovna was born on New Year's Eve, December 31, 1929. When the war began, she was 11. And today - 84. Twenty of them she lives in a boarding house.

- This sore, war, will never leave us, it will always be with us,- the woman does not allow us to help her get out of bed, she does it herself with dignity. Then he puts on a bright robe and fixes his hair to make it look beautiful in the photo.

... The war found Zhenya in a military town near Lepel, where her father served.

“Soon I lost my parents, brother and sister, I didn’t know where they were, if they were alive. Thus began my first military life. Together with other refugees, she reached Gomel, where she was born. But I didn't find any of my relatives there. And all the time while Gomel was occupied, she lived with different people, helped them with the housework. Then our soldiers came. As I remember now, I run up to them and ask:

“Do you know where my dad is?”
“How do we know that such a war is going on…”
- Aren't you leaving us?
“Don't be afraid, girl. We will leave, other defenders will come to our place.

And then I went to work in a hospital. And there my second military life began. It was hard, there were many wounded, but I did everything I was told. And in 1947 my father found me.”

After the war, Evgenia Konstantinovna trained as a cultural enlightener, worked as the head of the House of Culture and as a foreman at a factory. She married a sailor. She gave birth to two sons. She adopted another one.

“The adopted son, Valerochka, has already died, the woman cries. - He was so good, he always visited me. Others live far away. One - in the Sakhalin region, the second - in Krasnodar. But they say they want to take me away from here, take me to their place. Home is home…”

- Do you look good here?

— But how! Better, probably, it is already impossible to treat the elderly: there will be no such care anywhere else. That's just some men do not like that you can not drink. As for this, it’s strict here - no noise, screaming, booze!

At 84, Evgenia Konstantinovna is aware of all the news of the country and the world, subscribes to newspapers and magazines, reads books.

The second story. Tatyana Kozlova, concentration camp prisoner

Neat, all like a spikelet, grandmother slowly wanders along the corridor. He leans on his stick and smiles. She says that she has been living here for four years, and now she has come to her favorite procedure - aromatherapy.

Tatyana Danilovna sits down in a bright easy chair in a cozy office. And suddenly her smile disappears. And I'm already cursing myself for reminding her of Dachau. In one of the most terrible fascist camps, where medical experiments were carried out on prisoners, she ended up as a girl.

- From our village, the Germans stole those who were born in 1926-1927. They brought, I remember, to Minsk ... Then we drove for a long time. And they unloaded us at Dachau. And immediately a lot of people were burned. Old people. And we, the young ones, were sent to work at an aircraft factory. I worked there until the Americans, the Negroes, liberated us. It hurts me to remember this...

But it is not easier for a woman to talk about her own today: “I have no children. There is a niece. She changed my 1-room apartment and bought a 3-room apartment. There we lived with her. So 12 years have passed. And then ... I decided that it would be better if I moved here so as not to disturb anyone.

Tatyana Danilovna is not offended by her niece: "She's always at work..."

History the third. Fedor Sapronenko, partisan

Fedor Filippovich is 91 years old. Will you give? We met him on the street when he was going to a concert. The former partisan tries to attend all cultural events, writes poems that are published in city newspapers.

But recently life dealt him the biggest wound - his beloved wife died. During the war, she also served as a partisan. Her portrait and flowers stand at the head of the bed on which she slept. Her bed is next to his bed. Such is the heartbreaking intimacy of souls.

Fyodor Filippovich says that in order to get here, he wrote a letter to the president. An order came from the Administration of the head of state to give him and his wife a room here. “I came right away to see how things are here. I like it. Bring your wife...

Even while in a boarding school, the pensioner helped his children with money.

The old man has not been visited for a long time. The son died. One daughter lives in Polotsk, retired, but works. And the second one is in Vitebsk, she is 65 years old. But Fyodor Filippovich did not see her for a year. The social worker brings him food. He is looked after by wonderful, very sensitive, but strangers.

... Therefore, it is easier for him to talk about the war.

When it began, Fedor was 16. In 1942, he added a year to himself, said that he already had 18, and joined the partisans. “While I was completely green - I was small, my rifle was taller than me, they didn’t take me to combat operations. He put on bast shoes, a sack over his shoulders and walked around the villages, collecting information for reconnaissance: where the Germans and policemen were. Later they began to involve in more serious operations in the partisan brigade. Then he served in the infantry, ”- remembers the veteran.

It stuck in my memory how we spent two weeks in a blockade on an island in the swamps: “We got there, retreating after one battle. They made fires on this island, posted sentries. As soon as they began to dry, as again the alarm: the Germans are coming! I didn’t even have time to put on my shoes, so I ran barefoot. Everyone has a disguise on their heads - moss and a pine branch. We had barely managed to hide in the swamp when the Germans appeared. They threw wood on the still burning fire and sat down. They play, eat, rest on the harmonica. And we are in a swamp, with pine trees on our heads. 50 meters between us. We are 26 people, and there are about 200 of them. We had to wait until they left. Then we were already warming ourselves near the fire, which the Germans had thrown. Then they moved from this island to another and lived on it for two weeks. It was in May, they ate linden buds and birch "brains" - that's how we called the juicy wood that was torn off the tree with a knife.

Fedor Sapronenko met the victory as a radio operator in the German city of Greifswald. An unusual episode of World War II is associated with it: on April 30, 1945, the city surrendered to the Red Army without a fight. The commandant of the city, who changed his political views after participating in the Battle of Stalingrad, considered that it was more expedient to save the city and its inhabitants than to fight another battle when the outcome of the war was known.

Today, veterans remember things that were previously forbidden for ideological reasons.

“When we entered Germany, the political officer gave us printed forms with the question: “What are you going to take revenge for?” Everyone answered. I also wrote, as it is: "For the burned father's house, for the murdered brother." I remember two cases when our tankers took revenge. Carriages with German refugees were driving along the road. And then one of our tanks drove straight at these people, crushed them ... And in one city, a tanker drove a civilian German old man down the street. He could no longer walk, and our compatriot kicked him with his feet, pushed him in the back with a machine gun. Our commander stood up for the old man. He had a hand like a sledgehammer. He approached the tanker and knocked him down with one blow. And then a fight broke out between the tankmen and the infantry…”- says F. Sapronenko.

The soldier was demobilized and returned home to his parents exactly two years after the Victory - May 9, 1947: “I go into the house, I take out the gifts from the backpack. And the younger sister points to the bread and asks: “What is it?” These are the times…”

After the war, Fedor Filippovich taught history, and for 20 years led a rural school in the Braslav region. He has the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, two medals for labor prowess, the title of Honored Teacher of the BSSR.

The veteran clearly remembers the date when he and his wife ended up in a nursing home - May 11, 2005. Shortly after the festive fireworks in honor of Victory Day died down ...

***
On the day we were here, one grandmother died in the boarding school. Quite lonely old people are buried at the expense of the state, at the cemetery in Kopty near Vitebsk. But almost everyone has relatives. They take on these last mournful chores.

Quite often, older people are forced to leave their home and go to a nursing home. In such institutions, residents are provided with full-fledged specialized care.

Recently, sanatoriums for pensioners have become more and more popular. Here you can undergo a course of treatment, thereby improving your health.

Boarding house features

It seems to many modern people that the nursing home is a real prison for pensioners who ended up here against their will. It is worth noting that more and more often older people turn to such institutions on their own, and this is due to a large number of positive factors.

Particular attention should be paid to private pensions. Such institutions offer their customers a fairly wide range of services at an affordable cost.

Private boarding houses are considered the best options for people of retirement age. The main advantages of these institutions include:

  • improved guest care;
  • provision of qualified medical care;
  • availability of comfortable living conditions.

Often, pensioners refuse such options due to the inflated cost. In this case, you must contact the social services, which will provide a list of private and public institutions.

Many people believe that being in a nursing home is not the best solution for living. But, most pensioners are not able to take care of themselves due to loneliness, and therefore using the services of a boarding house is the right choice.

Living in a nursing home

Living in a boarding house has its positive aspects. This may include:

  • round-the-clock care for the elderly;
  • complete dietary nutrition;
  • provision of special wheelchairs in case of disability;
  • interesting and varied activities.

Elderly people have the opportunity to communicate with their peers and go for walks. Relatives can visit an elderly person on weekends, and even take guests for a walk.

Often, these institutions provide both medical and psychological assistance. The boarding houses have a staff of specialists who control the condition of the guests.

As for the cost of living, it can be paid from the pension. But, most often, relatives of the guests deal with such issues.

They have long been very popular among Russians. Another thing is the purpose of trips to China. In most cases, China is visited for the sake of shopping. Sightseeing tours are also in demand, because China is a country with a rich history. No state in the world can boast of such a number of attractions included in the authoritative UNESCO List as China. Some travel to the Celestial Empire to experience the effectiveness of acupuncture and other alternative medicine treatments. Others are attracted by the mysterious Tibet and the mythical Shambhala. And very few are going to conquer the highest peak in the world - Everest - from the PRC, and not from Nepal. But now it's time to discover beach China! Read about the best of this country in our article.

Tours to China

Russians living in Eastern Siberia and the Far East have long mastered the beaches of China on the Yellow Sea. But for a long time, citizens from the European part of the Russian Federation were scared away by a long and expensive flight, as well as a lower level of service compared to Turkey and Egypt. But time takes its toll, and China's tourism infrastructure began to develop rapidly. In recent years, like mushrooms after rain, new resorts in China have appeared with beaches, hotels, and entertainment centers. In order to get clients, tour operators offer Russians trips to China, which can be compared to a hodgepodge. There is just a little bit of everything: shopping, excursions, acquaintance with Chinese acupuncture, and regaling with exotic dishes. And this “gallop across the Celestial Empire” is complemented by a 5-7-day trip at one of the seaside resorts in China. Such a tour will cost an average of 22,000 rubles per person, if the ticket is "burning", and accommodation is supposed to be in a 3-star hotel (with breakfast).

The best resorts in China with beaches

Which of the proposed options to choose? Which seaside resort in China is considered the best? The most fashionable destination is Hainan Island. The Chinese government is very interested in the "promotion" of this place. Therefore, if you plan to travel exclusively to Hainan (up to 15 days and as part of an organized group), you do not need a visa to China. You can deduct one and a half thousand rubles from the trip estimate. Budget tourists will certainly be interested in the resorts of the Yellow Sea. These are Beidaihe, Qingdao, Dalian. But it should be remembered that you need to come here, as in Sochi - from June to the end of September. It is during the summer period that the sea temperature is +25 degrees. Well, the tropical palm trees of Hainan Island can easily replace relic fragrant pines. A longer bathing period is observed in the south-east of the country. As an option, you should consider Hong Kong, where a beach holiday can be combined with shopping.

Hainan

We begin our review of the best seaside resorts in China. And in terms of climatic characteristics, and in terms of the development of infrastructure, and in terms of the level of service, Hainan Island is the leader. This former place of exile for the Chinese nobility is now called "Eastern Hawaii". The word "Hainan" itself translates as "Land beyond the South Sea." The island is located in a tropical climate zone and is ready to receive tourists all year round. It has everything that travel agencies lure into the lush greenery of palm trees, turquoise warm water, white sand beaches, all sorts of rambutan coconuts and other exotic fruits. Hainan was the first to attract the attention of foreign tourists who fly to China every winter. don't even try to look on the map. Such an area does not exist. Geographers call the sea washing the shores of Hainan the South China Sea. The capital of the island is the city of Haikou.

Sanya

Luxurious hotels and fashionable resorts are concentrated in the south of Hainan. But for the exotic, you should go to the northern tip of the island. The two indigenous peoples - the Miao and the Li - are completely different from the Han. You can watch the amazing folklore shows that they arrange for tourists, as well as taste the delicacies of the local cuisine, in the Bethel ethnic minority park. The resort of Sanya is considered the most fashionable holiday destination on the island and throughout China. The only disadvantage of the local beaches is their location across the road. Otherwise, tourists give Sanya the highest marks. White sand, clear water, European standard of relaxation. On three sides, Sanya is surrounded by picturesque mountains, and on the fourth side, there is a clear expanse of the sea. Even in January, the thermometer in Hainan does not fall below +22 degrees. The high season in Sanya is observed in early February. Chinese from the north of the country love to come here to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Yalunvan

One Sanya Hainan is not limited. Twenty-five kilometers away is a vast crescent-shaped bay, which the Chinese call "Earthly Paradise" (Yaochi). But on the maps it is named after the city on the coast - Yalunvan. This resort is the center of the most expensive and luxurious hotels. The beaches of Yalunwan are considered to be better than in Sanya. Seven kilometers of white quartz sand! The coastal strip is so wide that there is no feeling of crowding even in the high season. The beaches are lined with mangrove forests and coconut groves. And from the sea, five islets and a coral reef reliably cover the coast from storms. The transparency of the water in Yalunvan Bay is 10-15 meters. This, along with the lack of strong currents, makes the resort a mecca for divers and snorkellers.

Dadonghai

This bay on Hainan Island is not as clean as Yalong Bay. But this resort "never sleeps." For a rich evening life and fun without borders, young people come to Dadonghai. The beaches of the resort represent a typical picture of a tropical coast: green palm trees, white sand. However, the active recreation infrastructure is most developed in Dadonghai. Kites, water skis, scooters, bananas and other entertainment are present in huge quantities. Dadonghai was chosen by Russian tourists. Therefore, it is difficult to feel the language barrier here. On the streets of the resort you can often find signs in Russian. Service in hotels and waiters in restaurants often speak our language. The resort has many treatment centers where traditional Chinese medicine is practiced.

Beidaihe

Good Chinese resorts with beaches stretch in the southeast of the country, along the coast of the Yellow Sea. Beidaihe stands out among them. The beauty of these places is legendary. The resort's beach consists of golden sand. And it is surrounded by mountains covered with pines. The crystal air, filled with the aroma of heated pine needles, made Beidaihe the glory of a medical resort. The most developed infrastructure is in the western part of the resort. At the eastern end of the beach, you can find deserted places and enjoy the sea and the sun in absolute solitude. This resort is also chosen and even inhabited by our compatriots. Reviews call it an ideal place for a family holiday, as there are many entertainments for children: a dolphinarium, water parks. Adults will also find a lot of interesting things in Beidaihe. You should visit the two-headed mountain Lenfengshan with its caves and hidden paths.

Hong Kong, resistance bay

Only recently returned to the bosom of the Celestial Empire, the peninsula still pleases guests with British quality in serving tourists. On all three sides, Hong Kong (aka Hong Kong) is washed by the South China Sea. And in terms of climatic characteristics, it is not inferior to Hainan. The best beaches of China in this corner of the vast country are located in the Bay of Resistance. The bay is so named because once the British bravely repelled the attack of pirates here. The beach of the Resistance Bay is equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay: changing rooms, showers, wooden decks. The embankment abounds with restaurants and first-class hotels. The main attraction of the resort are the giant statues of the goddesses Tin Hau and Kwun Yam, who patronize the fishermen. The junks of the latter, gliding through the calm waters of the bay, are a beautiful sight.

Dalyan

And what resorts in China with beaches can you recommend to lovers of pebbles? This is Dalyan - a city on the coast of the Yellow Sea. For our compatriots, it is also interesting because it has a Russian quarter. Dalyan has several beaches. One of the best is considered "Shell". You can get here by using the cable car, which is laid over the territory of the zoo. If you get tired of swimming in the sea, you can watch a performance of trained fur seals. Pebble beach "Tigers" is so named because of the marble sculptures of large wild cats. However, they do not attract many tourists here, but unusually high tides. Not far from the beach there is a unique "Polar Aquarium" where you can watch the inhabitants of the Arctic Ocean and Antarctica.

Every year, China is visited by hundreds of thousands of travelers who want to touch antiquity. But when it comes to "ordinary" beach holidays, China recedes into the background and modestly hides behind the backs of such generally recognized tourist giants as Turkey and Egypt.

Meanwhile, China is a great place for a relaxed beach holiday. The coast of China has a length of over 14 thousand kilometers and is washed by the waters of four seas at once. Pleasant, mild climate, picturesque nature and dozens of cultural beaches for every taste.

Unfortunately, most tour operators offer trips to the same destination, where vacationers are waiting for overcrowded hotels and industrial infrastructure. We have compiled our own list of the best beaches in China, most of which are unknown to the general public.

Surfing, diving, sea fishing or a family vacation with children - there is a place for every taste. And you can be sure: any destination included in our list is in no way inferior to either Turkish or Egyptian beaches.

1st place: Wuzhizhou)

Topping the list of China's best beaches is Wuzhizhu, a small island located near the popular resort of Hainan. The island has an area of just over two square kilometers and is washed by the waters of the South China Sea. Vuzhizhu is reliably protected from external currents, thanks to which the sea here is always warm and calm.

Geography and climate

Despite its small area, Vuzhizhu boasts abundant vegetation - researchers have established several thousand endemic plants here. The pride of the island's fauna is considered to be the oldest plant in the world, the Dragon Tree, over 10,000 years old.

Vuzhizhu is a typical beach island. The coast with a length of about 6 kilometers is completely covered with the purest sea sand. The water area serves as a haven for numerous fish, and ancient coral reefs make Vuzhizha a desirable place for diving enthusiasts.

The climate is typically subtropical, humid, the maximum air temperature reaches 32 degrees in June. From May to October, the rainy season lasts here - but even during this period, the temperature of water and air does not fall below 20 degrees. The ideal time to visit is autumn and winter. From October to January inclusive, the weather here is mild, ideal for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure

Due to its small size, there is no serious infrastructure on Vuzhizha. The only hotel - five-star Sanya Wuzhizhou Coral Hotel, one of the best hotels in the world. All beaches are cleaned daily of marine and cultural debris, equipped with umbrellas and deck chairs made of natural wood.

How to get there

You can get to the island by ferry, which departs from Haitan Bay every hour. Car rental is open on Vuzhizhu itself, and a regular bus also runs.

2nd place: Yalong Bay)

Hainan Island is considered the pearl of the Chinese beach industry. And in the very center of this pearl is Yalong Bay - the most protected, expensive and prestigious place in this region.

Geography and climate

Yalong Bay is eight kilometers of flat coastline strewn with the purest sea sand. From all sides, the bay is surrounded by a chain of high mountains covered with picturesque forests - a great place for leisurely walks. It is worth noting that the air here is especially clean thanks to the efforts of the Chinese authorities, who have banned any industrial activity near the bay.

The climate in Yalong Bay is milder than in the rest of the island, which is explained by the closed ecosystem of the bay. It is protected from the mainland by mountains, and the natural bay is fenced off by coral reefs, which prevent the cold currents of the South China Sea from penetrating inside. Thanks to this, Yalong Bay can be visited even in the rainy season - the air temperature here does not fall below 26 degrees.

Another amazing feature of the bay is the almost complete absence of wind and the same water temperature (25-26 degrees). All this, combined with developed infrastructure and magnificent beaches, makes Yalong Bay the best place for a relaxing holiday.

Infrastructure

Yalong Bay is rightfully considered the pride of Hainan, and local authorities are making every effort to maintain the image of a high-class resort. The area near the coast is built up with the best hotels - all, as one, with a five-star category. There are golf courses, tennis courts, shopping malls, swimming pools and even a hippodrome - in a word, in Yalong Bay there is something to do even for the most sophisticated tourist.

How to get there

Despite the constant and calm climate, the best time to visit the bay is from October to May. At this time in Yalong Bay there is a comfortable temperature in the complete absence of rain. You can get to the bay by taxi from Sanya International Airport, the journey time is about an hour, excluding traffic jams.

3rd place: Dadonghai

Dadongai is a continuous line of sandy beaches located in the south of Hainan Island. Like most other popular beaches in the region, Dadongai is located within a natural bay that protects it from unwanted climate changes.

Geography and climate

In general, Dadongai is a typical Hainan beach, with one exception. The waters of the beach are strewn with unique pink corals, which are listed in the International Red Book. If we add to this the always calm sea and developed infrastructure, we get an ideal place for lovers of tourist diving.

About the water of this resort it is worth talking separately. It is surprisingly transparent here, with a barely noticeable turquoise hue. There are rumors that the Dadongai water area has healing properties - however, this statement has not yet been confirmed by anything.

The coast of the beach is a homogeneous sea sand that goes far inland, which distinguishes Dadongay from other beaches with a rocky bottom. The homogeneous and slightly dull landscape is diluted with wild palm trees.

Like the rest of Hainan, the rainy season lasts from May to October. The best time to visit is late spring and all autumn, when the water warms up to 30 degrees.

Infrastructure

Dadongay boasts a very developed tourist infrastructure. The beach provides its visitors with free umbrellas, sun loungers and soft drinks. A cozy shopping line stretches along the coast, where you can find products and souvenirs for every taste.

A distinctive feature of this resort is the presence of hotels and guesthouses directly next to the sea. The choice is really impressive: from luxury hotels, where the price for one night reaches $500, to small cozy bungalows.

How to get there

There are special taxis from Sanya International Airport to Dadongai Beach that will take you straight to the main tourist area. In general, Dadongay is a typical beach resort, with developed infrastructure and reasonable prices. It will suit lovers of both lovers of a prestigious holiday, and adherents of minimal costs.

4th place: Sanya Bay (Sanya bay)

Another beach resort in the Hainan region, Sanya Bay City Beach is considered a favorite vacation spot for locals. This may turn off lovers of typical resort beaches - on the other hand, this beach has the lowest possible prices. In terms of the quality of the coast and water area, Sanya Bay is in no way inferior to its more "eminent" counterparts in tourism.

Geography and climate

Sanya Bay Beach is located in the bay of the same name, which protects it from a very turbulent outer sea. The coast is strewn with amazingly white sand, but the seabed is mostly rocky.

The climate of the Hainan region has already been described in detail, and Sanya Bay does not stand out in this regard. The best time for rest is spring and autumn, the average temperature of air and water is kept at around 26-27 degrees.

Infrastructure

A distinctive feature of Sanya Bay Beach is its focus on serving the local population. There is a huge selection of places where you can stay overnight at very affordable prices. Fans of prestigious hotels should be warned: five-star hotels here are clearly not up to the mark. A highway stretches along the coast, which does not reach the main territory of the beaches - you don’t have to worry about the purity of the air.

How to get there

A taxi from the international airport will take you straight to Hainan. From there you can take a taxi to Sanya Bay or use public transport: special buses run to the beach.

It should be noted that Sanya Bay is probably the only beach resort in China where you can watch how the locals live. Fishing and seafood, lively trade and many small restaurants will not leave indifferent lovers of local exotic.

5th place: Tianya Haijiao

Closes the top five is another beach resort in the Hainan region, Tianya Haijiao. Translated from Chinese, this name translates literally as the Land of Heaven. Tianya Haijiao is the southernmost territory of Hainan Island, which ends with the cape of the same name, which offers a magnificent view of the entire water area.

Geography and climate

Tianya differs from the rest of the beaches of Hainan with its amazing “lunar landscape”. The coast here is literally strewn with the remains of ancient marble rocks, which give it a resemblance to the Seychelles.

Here is the highest point of Hainan - Cape Tianya, on which the acting maniac is located. Lovers of green landscapes will not be disappointed either: the area around the coast is thickets of wild palms and shrubs.

The sand here is traditionally "Hainanese" - fine, white and very clean. The bottom is predominantly rocky, with sharp drops in depth. Diving enthusiasts will appreciate the huge number of exotic fish that flock to the bay.

Infrastructure

Tianya Haijiao can offer a wide range of budget hotels, guesthouses and private villas. It should be noted that they are all located at a distance from the beach itself. Otherwise, the infrastructure of the resort is no different from the rest of Hainan: many shops, souvenir shops and restaurants.

How to get there

Getting to Tianya Haijiao is somewhat more difficult than to other resorts on the Island, since the beach is located at its southernmost tip. Its remoteness should be taken into account when calculating the time - the journey can take up to two hours due to possible traffic jams.

6th place: Haitang Bay bay)

Haitan Bay is a continuous strip of white sand, enclosed by a natural bay. Haitan belongs to the territory of Hainan Island, but stands apart from other beach resorts.

Geography and climate

Unlike the popular and developed resorts discussed earlier, Khaitan may seem like a "wild" place. Its development began relatively recently, and it is still not very popular with tourists. Thanks to this, an amazing ensemble of untouched nature, wild beaches and half-empty five-star hotels, built quite recently, has formed here.

The coast of Khaitan stretches for almost 30 kilometers. And all these kilometers are in no way fenced clean beaches, untouched by man. The bottom, for the most part, is sandy, the water area is famous for its coral reefs, which makes Khaitan a good choice for diving enthusiasts.

The climate is traditionally Hainanese, the ideal time to visit is from November to April. In May, heavy rains begin, which, despite the warm weather, will interfere with a beach holiday.

Infrastructure

There are really few hotels in Haitan, and all of them are five-star. But what is surprising is the prices. A luxurious room with all amenities, access to the pool and sea views will cost some hundred dollars per night. Khaitan is that rare case when an unpopular resort can be recommended on a par with more famous beaches. However, fans of active nightlife may not like Haitan Bay - the infrastructure here is not well developed.

7th place: Riye Bay bay)

The beaches of Hainan, probably already had time to get bored. But what to do - this is the most developed and high-quality resort in China, it is not surprising that almost all the best beaches are concentrated here. So is Jiyue, a bay with a hard-to-pronounce name located in the south of the island.

Geography and climate

The bay has already become a mecca for lovers of wild romance and surfing. Here you can hardly meet pampered lovers of sand and sun. But this place is ideal for those who want to spend their holidays actively.

Zhiyue is practically not fenced off from the open sea, thanks to which high waves rage here all year round. But there are also protected places where you can soak up the clean sand. This is the hallmark of the bay: here you can enjoy plenty of active water sports, and then relax on the beautiful beaches.

The water temperature is colder than in the rest of Hainan - within 20 degrees Celsius. The air is also very cool, but comfortable. In summer, the temperature reaches 27 degrees, and the constantly blowing sea breeze smooths out the stuffiness.

Infrastructure

There are practically no hotels here - you can stay with private traders, or rent a bungalow. Prices are low, and the absence of crowds of pampered tourists will appeal to lovers of secluded relaxation.

How to get there

You will have to get to Zhiyue Bay on your own, by taxi. Travel time from the center of Hainan can take from half an hour to an hour, depending on traffic conditions.

8th place: Beidaihe

Beidaihe opens the list of resorts outside Hainan Island. This is a small resort area near Qinhuangdao, located on the shores of the Bohai Bay. Beidaihe is not as popular as the Hainan resorts described earlier. On the other hand, there are fewer people, not so high prices and equally beautiful beaches.

Geography and climate

Beidaihe is literally immersed in greenery and boasts a healing climate. Beidaihe is washed by the Yellow Sea, which is known for its calm disposition and clear blue-black waters.

The climate is moderately humid, which will appeal to travelers from central Russia. The beach line of the city is divided into three parts: Western, Central and Eastern. The central one is the most popular among tourists: sandy beaches and the bottom, calm waters, many shops and entertainment centers.

Western beaches are not as popular, but also offer a good level of service. The eastern zone is the wildest, here you can meet divers, fishermen and surfers. All the beaches of the city are equally well-groomed and clean - you should choose from personal preferences.

Infrastructure

In addition to a beach holiday, Beidaihe can offer its visitors a full range of entertainment. Prices here are moderately low, you can find a clean and comfortable room for 10-15 dollars.

How to get there

Beidaihe has regular flights from Beijing and Harbin. The best time to visit is from May to October, when comfortable weather and water temperature sets in.

9th place: Gulangyu Island

A tiny island in the southwestern tip of Xiamen County, Gulangyu can be considered the beach highlight of this region.

Geography and climate

The island is really tiny - you can walk around it in just an hour. Meanwhile, there is a wonderful climate and always a calm sea. The coast consists of several kilometers of coarse sea sand, the bottom is also sandy. The whole island is covered with tropical vegetation and flowers. An amazing feature of Gulanyu is always comfortable weather. Even during the rainy season you can sunbathe and swim here.

Infrastructure

There are no hotels on the island - only rare private villas. It is unlikely that you will be able to settle directly on Gulanya - it is better to choose one of the hotels in the city. In addition, there are practically no cars or motorcycles here.

How to get there

You can only get to the island by ferry, which departs regularly from the city of Samen. The most pleasant weather here lasts from May to October.

10th place: Weihai

Last doesn't mean worst. It is with this slogan that we would like to complete our personal TOP-list of China's beaches. Indeed, just because Weihai's beaches are at the bottom of the list, it doesn't mean that they are any worse than their more famous beach tourism counterparts. Not at all - the fact is that it is difficult to get to Weihai, the tourist infrastructure is not so developed here, and in general, the beaches of this region do not stand out from other resorts.

Geography and climate

Weihai is an amazing natural phenomenon. Where else can you see centuries-old coniferous forests that go straight to sandy beaches? The city and its beaches are located on the Shandong Peninsula. The terrain is very mountainous, with height differences reaching several hundred meters.

The climate is temperate, monsoonal. Winter is mild, the minimum temperature is 14 degrees. In summer, air and water warms up equally, up to 25 degrees. The sea is often stormy, but even in bad weather the water remains clear.

The coast is strewn with coarse sea sand of a bright yellow hue. The bottom is variable rocky, sandy on the most popular beaches.

Infrastructure

Weihai is a fairly large city, with a population of about 700,000 people. This means only one thing: a huge variety of entertainment. Diving, surfing, fishing, excursions to protected areas and tea plantations - in a word, an ideal place for an active family holiday.

How to get there

Weihai can be reached by direct flight from Beijing, the flight duration is just over an hour. Fans of boat trips can be offered a ferry crossing from Dalian - it should be borne in mind that the sea current here is rough, and inexperienced sailors can get sick.
