And, of course, 5 kg must comply with aviation safety standards (that is, liquids - in containers up to 100 ml).

Mobile phones, cameras, laptops and other gadgets, as well as umbrellas and books, were excluded from the list of things that can be taken into the cabin for free ABOVE the hand luggage allowance. The argument of the Ministry of Transport: they can be put away in a handbag, briefcase or backpack. With a mobile phone - no problem, you can put it in your pocket, and it's light, it won't create an advantage. But a professional camera or a laptop, taken together, may well. You can't check in your equipment.

New baggage rules, Pobeda

If you purchased a ticket before 09/29/2017 (including this date) for a flight operated after 09/30/2017 (including this date), you can carry free of charge no more than 10 kg of Checked Baggage up to 203 cm in three dimensions and Hand Baggage, provided for in paragraph 9.4 of these Rules.

If you purchased a ticket after 09/30/2017 (including this date), you can carry Hand Baggage free of charge in the manner provided for in clauses 9.4, 9.5, 9.7 of these Rules.

The rules and conditions for the carriage, delivery and receipt of Checked Baggage are specified in Appendix 2 to the Rules.

In view of the need to safely place the Hand Baggage of all Passengers in the passenger cabin in accordance with the recommendations of the aircraft manufacturer, the following restrictions on the carriage of Hand Baggage apply on flights of Pobeda Airlines LLC:

overall dimensions no more than 36 x 30 x 27 centimeters,

the total weight is not more than 5 kilograms.

If you are unsure if your Hand Baggage is within the prescribed dimensions, please place it in the hand baggage mechanical measuring devices with the airline logo installed at the airport. Hand luggage must be measured before entering the passenger screening area. Hand baggage allowance applies to each Passenger separately and does not apply to children under 2 years old who are transported free of charge.

Aeroflot hand luggage, dimensions and weight, 2017

Items carried by the passenger and transported in the cabin of the aircraft, the weight and dimensions of which are established by the carrier and allow them to be safely placed in the cabin of the aircraft, are called hand luggage.

Carry-on baggage allowance in the cabin of an aircraft on Aeroflot flights: Business - 1 piece weighing up to 15 kg (in the sum of three dimensions up to 115 cm), comfort class and economy class - 1 piece weighing up to 10 kg (in the sum of three dimensions up to 115 cm ). Baggage dimensions should not exceed 55 cm in length, 40 cm in width, 20 cm in height.

In excess of the established carry-on baggage allowance, you can additionally carry the following items if they are with the passenger and not included in the luggage:
a handbag/men's briefcase, a folder for papers, an umbrella, a cane, a bouquet of flowers, outerwear, a laptop computer, a camera, a camcorder, printed materials for reading in flight, baby food for a child during a flight, a baby cradle when transporting a child, a suit in suitcase, cell phone, crutches, folding walkers, a bag with purchases from the Duty Free store. These things are not presented for weighing, are not subject to registration and are not marked with tags.

Hand luggage is the items that each passenger of an airliner can take into the cabin. The size and weight of the allowable luggage is determined by the carrier, and these parameters differ significantly for different companies. However, there is a list of things that cannot be taken in hand luggage on an airplane, and everyone needs to know it so that there are no problems during boarding. We bring to your attention the new rules of 2019 regulating the composition of hand luggage and luggage in Russia.

Things that can not be taken into the salon

As in the rules of previous years, passengers are strictly prohibited from carrying any weapons in the cabin of an airliner. The list includes:

• Firearms and traumatic weapons (pistols, rifles, revolvers, machine guns, machine guns, etc.);
• Melee weapons (daggers, knives, sabers and swords);
• Throwing weapons (grenades, knives, bows).

Substances prohibited on board under the new rules

The list of substances prohibited for carriage as cabin baggage includes flammable liquids. These include compounds whose flash point does not exceed 66 degrees: diethyl ether, cyclohexane, benzene, acetone and ethanol, alcohols, various aromatic compounds, turpentine, kerosene. In plain language, varnishes and paints, printer inks, tinctures, esters, sealants, cosmetic lotions, solvents and solvents cannot be taken on board.

The second type of prohibited substances are explosives. They are divided into liquid (nitroglycerin, ethyl nitrate, nitroglycol), gel-like, suspension (ammonium nitrate mixtures), emulsion and solid (tol, hexogen and nitrate).

Radioactive substances are also not allowed in hand luggage. These are mixtures or compositions containing radioactive isotopes (germanium, vanadium, cadmium, selenium, zirconium, molybdenum, rubidium, and others). Accordingly, you will not be allowed on the plane if you take with you isotopes necessary for treatment or diagnostics, or gamma ray logging instruments.

When landing, you are also confiscated oxidizing substances, which may not be combustible, but at the same time provoke and support the combustion of other materials. The list of oxidizing substances unacceptable for carriage in hand luggage includes:

• Hydrogen peroxide;
• bleaches;
• Perchloric acid solution;
• ammonium chlorate;
• ammonium bromate;
• Fertilizers containing ammonium nitrate;
• Ammonium nitrite and its solutions;
• Mixtures based on sodium nitrite, potassium nitrate and ammonium salt.

And the last group of substances that cannot be taken into the cabin according to the new rules of 2019 are toxic and infectious substances that, if inhaled, interact with the skin or enter the body through food, can cause death, severe poisoning or illness. This group also includes pathogenic bacteria that are dangerous to the health and life of people and pets.

The procedure for the seizure of prohibited objects

If, during the inspection of hand luggage before boarding, objects and substances prohibited for transportation are found in you, they will be confiscated without fail. In the process of withdrawal, the airport staff will issue an act.

If the confiscated items are on free sale, but cannot be transported in the cabin, they will be given to the mourners or left for storage at the airport.

If a passenger is found to have cartridges or gas weapons without accompanying documents, they will be immediately handed over to the police, and a passenger trying to smuggle objects that are criminally liable for carrying and storing will be removed from the flight and handed over to the internal affairs authorities.

Exceptions to 2019 Rules

• A bottle of vinegar with a volume of not more than half a liter;
• Alcoholic drinks up to 70% in manufacturer's packaging;
• Cosmetic aerosols with a volume of not more than 0.5 l;
• Nail polishes;
• Lighters and receptacles for their filling (no more than two);
• One medical thermometer;
• No more than two kilograms of dry ice for food cooling;
• 3% hydrogen peroxide in a vial up to 100 ml;
• One manual tonometer.

Additional airline requirements

Some airlines have tightened the rules for carrying hand luggage, adding potentially dangerous objects to the generally accepted prohibited items, through which a passenger can injure others. These included corkscrews for opening bottles, needles for injections (in the absence of medical indications, confirmed by a certificate), knitting needles and crochet hooks, nail scissors and penknives.

To avoid problems during screening, check the hand luggage rules of the selected company. They are usually published on the airline's website.

Baggage rules Aeroflot was forced to change. At the same time, these changes went only to the benefit of passengers. The fact is that before this, the rules of the airline did not allow summing up the carried luggage. Thus, for example, a family of two with one suitcase overweight per person had to pay extra or separate things. This was against the Federal Aviation Regulations. The transport prosecutor's office of Moscow decided to intercede for passengers and the law, which successfully protested the actions Aeroflot.

Now the rules for carrying luggage on Aeroflot aircraft have become fully compliant with the law, and passengers flying together can combine their baggage.

Baggage rules on Aeroflot aircraft 2018

Passengers using the services Aeroflot are entitled to carry a certain amount of baggage with them free of charge. Its amount depends on the class of service that the client chooses. The only general rule for all classes of service is that the total dimensions of one piece of hand luggage should not exceed 115 cm, and one piece in the luggage compartment - 158 cm.

Passengers can afford to carry most of their belongings with them. For each ticket, you can take two pieces weighing 32 kg each in the luggage compartment and one piece weighing up to 15 kg in the cabin. Passengers flying in Comfort or Economy class at the Premium fare can also count on two pieces of baggage, but already 32 kg each. Also for them, the weight of hand luggage is reduced - up to 10 kg. Least of all, it is allowed to carry things with them to customers who have chosen the usual Economy class - 1 piece weighing no more than 23 kg in the luggage compartment and one piece up to 10 kg in the cabin.

By the way, the baggage rules on airplanes Aeroflot 2018 provide free luggage for children. So, parents of babies under two years old can count on one additional piece of baggage weighing up to 10 kg and total dimensions up to 110 cm. As for older children, aged two to twelve years, the same standards apply for them as for adults .

If the passenger could not meet the described requirements, then he will have to pay extra for extra things, as described in the baggage rules on airplanes Aeroflot 2018. For economy class, the second piece of baggage will cost an additional 2,500 rubles. All subsequent seats, regardless of the class of service, cost 7,500 rubles each. In case of overweight, additional money will also have to be allocated.

Baggage rules Aeroflot made it so that if the weight of the suitcase is in the range from 23 to 32 kg, then economy and comfort class passengers will have to pay the same 2,500 rubles. The maximum weight is limited to 50 kg and is paid an additional 5’000 rubles. The situation is the same with overall dimensions - in the range up to 203 cm, you will have to pay 5,000 rubles, and if it is exceeded, already 7,500 rubles.

  Number of seats

  Limit dimensions

  As a general rule, the size of hand luggage should allow it to be placed under the seat in front or on the top shelf. In Aeroflot, the maximum allowable dimensions for length, width and height are 55x40x25, respectively. The sum of three measurements is 120 centimeters for any tariff.

  Permissible weight

  The weight of hand luggage for transportation on an Aeroflot aircraft is set depending on the class. For customers flying at the Business fare, the allowable weight per seat does not exceed 15 kilograms. Economy class and Comfort provide the opportunity to take on a plane no more than 10 kilograms per seat.

  Personal items

  Aeroflot, like other carriers, allows its customers to take some things into the cabin without taking into account the above restrictions. They are included in the number of personal and are not taken into account when weighing. The list includes:

  • briefcases and women's handbags;
  • Cell phones;
  • portable computers, video and photographic equipment;
  • business papers in a folder;
  • books, newspapers and magazines;
  • shopping bag from duty free.

  In the list of goods allowed for free transportation in the cabin, there are items that do not fit the weight norm. These are special wheelchairs for the disabled and baby strollers that are used by the client. They will need to be handed over to the flight attendant at the entrance to the cabin. If the wheelchair has an electric drive and weighs more than 32 kilos, prior approval is required, no later than 36 hours before departure (scheduled time is taken into account). Mandatory approval will be required for the transportation of all musical instruments, regardless of their size. Of the animals, only a guide dog is allowed to fly in the cabin free of charge, if there are appropriate documents (certificate and veterinary certificate). Flight in the cabin with other animals is allowed only in a special container, the weight of which, together with the animal, is not more than 8 kilograms.

  Other restrictions

  In addition to the things listed for this category, there are restrictions on the volume of liquids and compositions equated to it. This applies to drinking water, alcoholic beverages, cosmetics. The total volume of such substances cannot exceed a liter, all liquids must be poured into containers no larger than 100 ml. Not allowed for carriage in the aircraft cabin:

  • all types of weapons and ammunition, items imitating them;
  • hazardous chemicals (toxic, flammable, explosive);
  • objects capable of inflicting cut wounds;
  • things and devices containing magnets or magnetized components.

  

  Some of these items can only be carried in baggage, others are completely prohibited for air transport. You can check the list and details of restrictions on the website or contact the contact center staff.

  Baggage requirements

  Aeroflot's luggage category includes items that exceed the weight and size characteristics of hand luggage and are transported in the luggage compartment on the aircraft. Items in this category are registered according to the piece system, taking into account the above parameters. Dimensions and weight, number of seats are differentiated in accordance with the rules for using a certain fare.

  Number of seats and size restrictions

  For Business, Comfort and Economy Premium fares, two seats per ticket are provided. According to the rules of the economy fare group, this parameter is limited to one seat. If the total weight of checked items is less than 10 kilograms, the number of pieces for free baggage is not limited. On the ticket, their number is usually indicated under the abbreviation PC (Piece Plan) with the corresponding number. Permissible dimensions in all cases should not be more than 158 centimeters in the sum of three dimensions (W * H * D).

  Weight restrictions

  The allowable baggage weight on the plane varies depending on the fare. The limit for the Business group is 32 kilograms. For other groups, including Comfort, weight restrictions are more stringent. In this case, you can carry no more than 23 kilograms per person. For minors, the same rules apply for adults. These requirements may vary depending on the flight, so before the flight it is advisable to clarify how much weight you can take with you through the contact center of the carrier.

  Exceeding the norm

  All cases of excess items are registered as excess baggage. The calculation is performed for each parameter, if the excess is allowed for all requirements, the cost of transportation will be determined based on the total amount. Additional payment required:

  • for the second, third and each subsequent place, 2.5 and 7.5 thousand, respectively;
  • for exceeding the allowable weight depending on the class of service, 2.5 if the excess is from 23 to 32 kilos and 5 when the weight goes beyond 32, but does not exceed 50;
  • for exceeded sizes from 158 to 203 centimeters, 5 thousand are charged, more than 203–7.5.

  The amounts are fixed, on domestic flights they are charged in rubles, on international flights in foreign currency. In the latter case, payment is made in ruble equivalent at the current exchange rate of the Central Bank.

  Non-standard cargo

  Special transportation rules apply to heavy and/or oversized cargo. This category consists of objects weighing from 32 to 50 kilos, with dimensions not exceeding 203 centimeters in terms of the sum of length, width and height. Sports equipment is considered as one piece of baggage allowed for free transportation:

  • a set of skis with sticks and boots in a case;
  • covered snowboard with a pair of boots;
  • a pair of clubs in a case with packed equipment;
  • bicycle prepared for transportation;
  • covered golf equipment;
  • a pair of rods with a set of tackle in the appropriate packaging.

  In addition to sports equipment, the list of non-standard baggage includes weapons with ammunition, various types of musical instruments, and animals. The category of non-standard may include containers common for travelers, for example, if the weight and size characteristics of a suitcase go beyond the permissible limits, it is considered oversized. The rules for transporting this category of cargo must be clarified with employees or on the airline's website.
