Bruce ship restaurant. Feedback on visiting the Brusov Ship - an art cluster on the water. Seven indifferent people

Latest news from the Crimean embankment. The ship, moored to the Muzeon Park of Arts, will soon be sent to the most distant backwater of the capital. And this is not about the ship on which Peter the Great stands. And about the one that is white and sharp-nosed. With cabins. Decks. And the Russian flag. Tourists willingly take selfies against its background. Yes, and Muscovites too. Someone goes inside for a bite to eat. Or look at some new thing. Because there are even shops and cafes on board a non-self-propelled vessel. He was brought to the center of Moscow in 1993 from Austria. At that time, Bryusov was not only a restaurant, but also a hotel.

And in recent years, they have made a whole art object out of it! The guys from the Flacon design factory team came to the Muzeon, on the territory of which the ship is located, and asked to be given several decks and cabins. Well, to hold various events there. Yoga and choreography classes. Film screenings. Lectures. Discos. Exhibitions. In general, to create a cultural center inside this bandura. The Muzeon said that they were not opposed, but the owner of the ship was the Moscow Tourist Fleet. The guys turned there and soon, having paid a certain amount for rent, they received permission. How much exactly they paid, the activists are not recognized. They say it's a trade secret. Two years have passed since then. And only now it turned out that "the vessel operates in the format of an art center on the water and is operated without a water use agreement." So it is said in the official report of the Moscow prosecutor's office.

SEVEN CARING PEOPLE

In general, it turned out that "Valery Bryusov", despite the high-profile surname, has no right to stand on the Crimean embankment. Why such a check was carried out only now, one can only guess.

In addition, the owner will have to pay a fine in the amount of 50 thousand rubles to the state treasury, - added "KP" in the supervisory department. - And another 10 thousand will be paid personally by the general director of Mosturflot.

Yes, indeed, the prosecutor's office is closing Bryusov, - one of the activists of the art ship confirmed. But we don't intend to be discouraged. We will look for another place to stay.

- And what do you generally do?

The art ship was invented in order to organize cultural events on it. If they were paid, we executed all the necessary documents. But they were also free. In fact, this is the world's first creative cluster! And we are glad that we were given the opportunity to turn around. Well, the fact that the prosecutor's office closes the ship does not matter. We do not intend to curtail our activities.

- And who are you? And how many of you?

We are a group of passionate young people. We all work in different places. Now there are seven people.

THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS

“The Bryusov Ship is one of the last ships to be removed from the territory of the Moskva River,” Nikolai Matushevsky, owner of the Flacon design plant, told KP. - Now the project is faced with the task of maintaining friendly relations with all partners and finding a new place for the ship. Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Cheboksary are considered among the possible locations for the future action of the project. We are also open to any proposals from the regions that will be ready to take control of this project.

The ship "Valery Bryusov", by the way, is already 32 years old. Although experienced sailors say that this is not age for such a vessel.

Unless, of course, you should follow him properly, ”Andrey Sharov, head of the international association of public organizations of navy veterans and submariners, told KP. - It all depends on the conditions of detention and on the attitude of the crew. Look, the Kruzenshtern sailboat is almost a hundred years old, but everything is on the move. In this case, the vessel is not used for its intended purpose. And this almost always leads to the death of the ship.

Near the Muzeon park, the famous motor ship will stay for about a month. At least, this is what representatives of the Flacon design factory say (Mosturflot does not report this).

Story

Motor ship "Valery Bryusov" near the coast of the Crimean embankment in the park "Museon" as an art space on July 13, 2014. Although the ship was moored to the embankment back in 1993, and before that it had been operated on the water for eight years. Before the reconstruction of Bryusov, a hotel, a restaurant, a casino and (according to unofficial information) a brothel worked here for 20 years.

The reconstruction of the ship and its transformation into an art cluster was carried out by the Realogic management team, headed by businessman Nikolai Matushevsky, who is also the Flacon design factory, and now an active new urban space - "". The first residents of Bryusov were the Art. Lebedev Studio store, the Sito cafe, the Volna bar, the Physika showroom, the Jerusalem Bazar jewelry store, the Lamartis hand-bound bookshop, and the adidas Originals concept store.

However, already in September 2014, a couple of months after the opening, the new place had problems: the check ship of Rospotrebnadzor. In particular, the department found unmarked inventory on the ship, while the ship did not have special tanks for the disposal of fluorescent lamps. For these and other reasons, the ship was recognized as unsafe for visitors and closed until all defects were eliminated.

"Bryusov" his work in June 2015. This time it has about two dozen residents. Half of them are already familiar from the previous year, the rest are newcomers. In particular, the Babylon Vape Shop, the Mypeople language school, the Yoga Boat yoga studio, and the Mams & Paps cafe appeared. In addition, techno parties began to be held on the ship, the most popular of which is Meduza.

In early April, it became known that Bryusov would be closed in mid-May by the prosecutor’s office, since it “operates in the format of an art center on the water and is operated without a water use agreement,” which violates paragraph 2 of part 1 of article 11 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation. For this, the legal entity that owns the ship - JSC "Moscow Tourist Fleet" - and the general director of the company must pay a fine - 50 and 10 thousand rubles, respectively.

The Bryusov administration said that from 2015 to 2017, it was negotiating with the Department of Transport of the City of Moscow about the possibility of saving the project. As a result, it was not possible to agree - the authorities moved the ship from the waters of the Moscow River. The corresponding decision was approved by the Zamoskvoretsky court.

The further fate of the ship has not yet been officially reported. It is only known that the ship will not be in its usual place after May 15. In order for the ship to pass under the bridges, it will most likely be cut off the upper deck, but "maybe the government will come up with another way of transportation," representatives of the space specify.

PLACE: ship "Valery Bryusov"

FUNCTIONS: trading platforms, educational projects, exhibitions, entertainment and sports events

EXPLOITATION: passenger cruise ship "Valery Bryusov", built in Austria in 1984, since June 1993 it has been operated as a rack ship, as an art cluster it started working in 2014

RECONSTRUCTION: UK Realogic

SQUARE: LAB - the center of the ship with an area of 120 square meters

Sundeck - 260 square meters deck

I have been on the ship from the very beginning, that is, for more than three years, renting a small cabin here, which I use as a studio. In the summer I play on the sun deck as a full-time DJ.

The ship is the main reason why I ended up in Moscow at all. I studied music in St. Petersburg, then my studio burned down there - against the backdrop of these events, I freaked out and left the country, hung out in Germany, and when my visa ran out, I returned. Six months before that, Lesha Kapitanov and I (Director of the Bryusov ship. - Ed.) we were talking a little drunk, and he said: “In short, Kirill, we are capturing a ship in the center of Moscow, we are making three event venues.” And now, after a little time, they called me to the opening of Bryusov.

So I got on the ship, played the first performance, and after it I walked and wandered here and went into one room - closed my eyes and imagined a bunch of my devices in it. Then I told Kapitanov that they lacked musical space on the ship. I returned to St. Petersburg, and the next day the director of the ship called me, offered that space for a studio and said: “We generally need hands. In short, I'm taking you a ticket to Moscow today?

So I ended up on the ship. I help everyone here on the technical side, but I don’t get paid for it, but I was given a big discount on rent and I perform at parties, in the summer I play here on a permanent basis. When I started writing music on the ship, my sound changed a lot. The ship sometimes shakes, and this is reflected in the groove of my music - a kind of rounded rocking appeared in the sound.

There are two completely different periods in the life of this place. Before the ship closed - the Old Testament and after - the New Testament. The whole backbone of the team was formed for the most part in the Old Testament, and the closure became a filter for people. Those who were commercially inclined fell off immediately, and those who perceived the place as an art cluster returned, no matter what, and began to cooperate even more closely. In the Old Testament of "Bryusov" there were 50% of people from St. Petersburg, and they brought here the St. Petersburg romance. There was a principle of human interaction here. Everyone knew in advance that the ship could be closed, but they continued to work here.

At first, the captain of the ship looked at us very suspiciously, because in the 90s there was a casino and cabins for hourly rent, but then he believed that we would create something completely different. Imagine how sad it is to be the captain of a ship that doesn't float.

This is the place where foreigners had to be taken in Moscow, there were many tourists here, you can be proud of it. A lot of educational projects took place on the ship, they taught DJing and writing music, held festivals dedicated to the visual arts, and all sorts of food markets. In addition to permanent residents, there were temporary activities. In winter, life on the Bryusov stopped, traffic became less, but the rents were lowered for residents who stayed for the winter. There were also those who left before the cold, having worked for one season.

It is important to understand that now the claims of the prosecutor's office are not about the Bryusov ship project - we do not have problems, but the owner of the ship. We are in Russia, so I'm not too surprised by what is happening. This is a Russian business, this is how it works, I came across something similar in St. Petersburg. There was a place "Quarter", where dudes in leather jackets with bats somehow arrived and forcibly took the tenants outside.

For many people, this place was a kind of start, it added to their enthusiasm. Some of the projects are now moving to Khlebozavod, the rest - I don’t know. I heard such information that the upper deck of the ship is being cut down and the ship is being heated so that it can sail under the bridge. There is resentment that it was possible to do this at the end of the summer, and not before the start of the season.

Passers-by afraid to come here think that the ship will sail. Some ask how much the tickets cost

Our project is four years old, but three of them we worked only online. April 21 marks one year since we opened at Bryusov. But I've decided to cancel the celebration because our story ends here.

I sell jewelry myself, I work from 12:00 to 20:00 six days a week. Two or three people work at the store at the same time. Other sellers work two by two. I still come here on my day off.

We were looking for an unusual place to shop, because our jewelry is handmade, they are unique. The ship literally immediately captivated me - on the waves, romance. Nearby is the Tretyakov Gallery, in the summer before work I walked in the Muzeon park. Sometimes I rented a hoverboard or a segway and rode them for lunch.

On the lower decks, the pitching is felt more strongly. I don't get seasick, but at first, after a day at the store, I was rocking at home, especially in the shower. Although I didn’t have the task of supporting the marine theme, I decided to make everything white, to keep more air and light in the design so that it would be convenient to view the decorations.

Tourists constantly drop in here, you feel like in an aquarium. At the same time, many passers-by are afraid to enter, they think that the ship will set sail. Some people ask how much the tickets cost. Before, I was also afraid to go here, it seemed to me that this was a restaurant or the entrance here was paid. When I finally looked in, I was delighted: there were many creative workshops here, and I wanted to be a part of it. Working on a ship is status. Our store cooperates a lot with Europeans, and they sincerely admire when I tell them about the location of the store.

Diana Muzhanova

sales assistant in the clothing store "Mouth to Mouth"

I have been working at Mouth to Mouth at Bryusov for several months. Prior to that, she worked in chain stores in St. Petersburg, then moved to Moscow. I like that trading takes place on a ship, it's unusual and interesting. Although if you remove the pitching, then this is an ordinary store with a good view of the river. When the boats sail, it is felt that the ship is rocking. But I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me much.

I work part time from 12:00 to 21:00 two by two. In bad weather, 15-20 people come a day. On weekdays, there are usually few people until five o'clock in the evening, and in the evening the movement begins. There are a lot of people here on weekends, but I'm used to a large flow of people. Once every two months, we are given a uniform, that is, we can choose clothes from the assortment of the store and keep them for ourselves.

I know almost all the store employees. On the Lambada, we distribute business cards, and the townspeople are surprised: many have not even heard of the Bryusov ship. Once we had a check here, there were serious uncles, the neighbors were fined. However, I learned about the closure of the place from the news. I am sad, but I will continue to work in the new place where we will move.

If windows open and close eyes, when a ship sails by, then you can imagine that you are at sea

I have been on the ship for two years now, fell in love with this place right away. Friends laugh at me, they say that I went to Morflot. I work in a cafe and come here almost every day, especially in summer. Sometimes I had to work for months without days off. Sometimes there are queues in the corridor, and in winter there is also a client's calm. Then there is actually one person doing it.

I made most of the cranes in the design myself. Some were made by guests who wanted to contribute to the place. I tell them: "Come visit your cranes, they are your children." The gloomiest people smile at me. Those who are in a hurry stay to chat with us for three hours. From their response, strength is taken.

It happens that in the summer everyone comes in, they say that the weather is good, and you stand sweaty at the bar near the coffee machine, and it bakes you. But there is no better place to work during the summer. You can go out on deck to air out, and life immediately becomes better. And if you open the windows and close your eyes when a ship sails by, you can imagine that you are at sea.

When Meduza techno parties take place here, I stay until the morning. Then I sleep for a few hours and go back to work. This is where I go to see good movies.

There are interesting projects and people on the ship, so I'm not looking for anything on the side. We are friends with other cafes and do not compete. When the glasses run out, we go to the Greeks in the "Sieve" or to the Mexicans "On Chili". Everyone on the ship is part of the crew. A friendly atmosphere reigns here, at a meeting everyone hugs and wishes each other a good day.

There has been talk of closing the ship since the 14th year. But our pirate spirit didn't let it happen, we always avoided problems. Now we are being deprived of our homes. We come up with a grandiose program for all the May holidays with the whole ship's crew. On May 6th we are hosting a shipwide party on the upper deck.

When a person in shakes for the first time some they think that they will feel bad now, grab the head and the heart. But the pitching does not interfere with drawing

In April, our school celebrated a year. She has been here all along. The ship is an amazing place, it is perfect for artistic activities, we have done many plein airs on deck. I will not be modest and say that our wardroom is one of the best rooms on the ship. We have made repairs, redid the layout a bit, but the most important thing is our original, fantastically beautiful ceiling.

We are engaged in education here on an ongoing basis. We work seven days a week. They invested their soul, a lot of time and money. The school has two administrators and me, all teachers are invited. I come here almost every day for work and get great pleasure when I see how the classroom is filled with interested students: a unique place works very efficiently. I like to come here and relax on the couch in my free time, enjoying the amazing atmosphere.

At one time, I was the head of the laboratory on the flagship of the space fleet. Therefore, the marine theme is close to me, sometimes I feel nostalgic for those times. Some of the items in our studio reflect shipboard romance. For example, we use small ropes to hang pictures.

When a person begins to shake for the first time, he thinks that he is feeling bad now, grabs his head and heart. But the pitching does not interfere with drawing. We have a small seating area, and all the stands are easily moved depending on what is happening here: a lecture or a practical lesson. Whichever way you look, you can immediately draw cityscapes from nature. In the summer we often hold plein airs on deck. For several hours we enclose the space with ribbons and draw. They wanted to resume them soon, but what happened happened.

Of course, the ship has flaws. For example, sometimes there are a lot of people in summer. It happens that during a lecture on the upper deck a noisy disco begins. But there were no conflicts, we have friendly tenants, and we always meet each other halfway.

There is a great community here: for the most part, our Russian brands and manufacturers, small pleasant coffee shops. I like to walk around the ship, communicate with people. There is a pleasant youth environment here.

Renting on a ship is even cheaper than renting the same space on neighboring streets. This is associated with risks: we were warned even at the entrance that there was a problem with the prolongation of the contract. We will move to the former workshop of Pyotr Konchalovsky on Bolshaya Sadovaya. The space there is smaller, so, of course, our school will be forced to reduce the number of courses.

The ship "Valery Bryusov", named after the famous Russian poet, is a multifunctional space organized on a spacious three-deck motor ship. Built in Austria more than thirty years ago, it began to operate in Moscow only in 1993 - then it served as a floating restaurant and hotel at the same time. And in 2014, the spectacular ship turned into a popular public space. There is a cinema hall, a lecture hall, a coworking space, shops, a variety of creative studios, a cozy family restaurant, a first-aid post, a travel agency, an architectural bureau, and even a men's hairdressing salon! Moreover, the ship "Bryusov" invariably pleases its guests with its own cultural program! It should be noted that culture is very harmoniously combined here with creativity and innovative technologies!

In order to visit the Bryusov ship, you need to get to the Krymskaya embankment - it stands on the Moscow River not far from the Kremlin. At the moment, other sites are also being actively considered for the possible relocation of this unique project, so that everyone who wants to visit an unusual ship will do well to periodically monitor its deployment.

Walking along the Krymskaya embankment and the Muzeon art park, I always looked at the Valery Bryusov ship and thought, what will they come up with, a restaurant? a hotel? When we entered, it immediately reminded me of something, either the Artplay space on Kurskaya, or the Flacon design factory, it turned out that the project was really developed by the Flacon factory team and the Dreamers United creative workshop. From where I managed to look while my daughter was running around the deck, this is a mini-theater for children under 7 years old “Just a joke”, they invite to the performance every Sunday at 10-30, 11-30 and 12-40 “A story from nothing (cabin 202), MyPeople language lab for all ages, Mams&Paps art coffee shop with an interesting design and drinks for children and adults. There are also concerts and movies. There are designer clothing stores, an atelier, a gallery of paintings ... We ran through the cabins almost at a gallop, we lingered only in the children's theater - a bright room, brightly beautiful, friendly staff, told about the performance, invited. And in the Greek cafe "Sito" we were pleased with a real Greek salad and "penerli", or, as we can call them "boats with meat and cheese", they are baked in front of our eyes.! The prices are quite democratic - coffee, for example, 100 rubles. In general, those who love olives, oil and Greek sauce can come in. The uppermost deck is open, a transparent awning is stretched, there is a stage for various events. Wood and metal looks great, the views of Moscow are amazing! A beautiful and functional place where you can dress up, eat, drink, watch movies, learn something and dance. And all this outdoors and on the water! Half of the cabins are still, however, in the opening stage, but it's worth a look.

"Valery Bryusov" is a three-deck passenger ship with a rich past, which has already served its time as a floating craft. Once it was considered one of the most comfortable in Russia and carried tourists on cruises, including foreign ones. Then he became a hotel and restaurant, as well as the world's first public platform for residents of Moscow and guests of the city. But now the ship has left the capital and will be moored at the port of the city of Kimry. We will tell about the history and past of this cruise ship below.

Ship building

"Valery Bryusov" - the ship, which was created by the Austrians. His homeland is the city of Korneuburg, at the shipyard of which he saw the light. The ship was built in 1985 and sold to the Moscow River Shipping Company. True, there is some information that all these five received, as it were, "as a load" to other orders. After all, this project was planned back in the Soviet Union, and there were somewhat different economic calculations. Initially, the ship was intended for tourist and cruise purposes. It was named after the famous Russian poet Valery Bryusov. In those years, the ship was one of the highest quality and was built at a well-known Austrian shipyard, which specialized in such ships.

Project Q-065: what is it?

This was the name of the idea of building the same type of cruise ships. They were created in 1984-1986 in Austria specifically for Russian shipping companies. A total of five were built. They served the Moscow, Ob-Irtysh and Lena shipping companies. These are "Sergey Yesenin", "Alexander Blok", "Demyan Poor", "Mikhail Svetlov" and the ship "Valery Bryusov". The ships of this project were the property of the Moscow and Lena tourist fleets. The project at that time was considered ultra-modern and was intended to serve the so-called "blue ring".

"Valery Bryusov" during cruise operation: description of the vessel

This ship, like all five of its brothers, can accommodate one hundred and eighty people. It was intended for inland river cruises. On its decks there were cabins designed for one, two and four people. There were also deluxe rooms. All cabins had showers, toilets and washbasins, as well as radios. The suites had sofas, as well as refrigerators and TVs. "Valery Bryusov" is a motor ship, the equipment of which also provided for the provision of various services on board. Passengers had at their disposal: an ironing room, a cinema, a sauna, a dance floor, a bar and a restaurant for 80 people. The ship also had a saloon with panoramic windows.

The ship was launched in 1985. Its length is 90 meters, width - 15. It can reach speeds of up to 22 km per hour, and its displacement was 1342 tons. Draft during navigation was a little more than one and a half meters.

"Valery Bryusov" (motor ship): route

The ship worked on tourist lines until 1991, and according to some sources - until 1992. He made walks, as well as cruises along the route Moscow - Petersburg. On this ship it was possible to walk along the rivers and lakes of the European part of Russia. There was a ship on the Volga, Oka, Neva, Kama, on the Don. He walked along the Ladoga, Onega and White lakes. Cruise itineraries were different - from 1 (walking) to 22 days. The program included visits to the ancient cities and cultural and historical centers of Russia - Ples, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Murom, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yaroslavl.

But the ship turned out to be economically unviable. The elite handsome motor ship "Valery Bryusov" (photos from 1985-1989 testify to this) consumed too much fuel. Although its size was small and allowed to travel along the rivers, its services were abandoned after a few years. In addition to financial problems, there were also issues with repairs. In Russia, there were not enough spare parts of the required type. Austrian or German ones were in short supply, and no replacement could be found. In the end, it became easier to take the ships out of service. The only vessel of this type, which is still used for its intended purpose in the European part of Russia, was the Sergey Yesenin.

Ship after "retirement"

Since 1993, the ship has not been used as a cruise ship. It did not change ownership, but became a floating hotel and restaurant on the Moscow River. His new address was a place near the Kremlin, the vernissage and the House of Artists: 10. The ship "Valery Bryusov" turned into a landing stage. Interestingly, in order to deliver the ship to the center of Moscow, it was specially prepared for this, and the level of the river was lowered so that the ship could pass under the bridges. For the sake of the latter, the management of the shipping company even had to go to the malfeasance. In 1994, all the necessary work to connect communications was completed, and a hotel, restaurant and casino were opened on board. A lot of money and work has been invested in this business. But in the 2000s, many hotels were built in the capital, gambling was banned. The hotel became unprofitable, and its comfort standards did not meet modern requirements. In the end, only budget tourists and students used her services, and even then less and less. It closed in 2009 and the restaurant in 2011.

Controversy over reconstruction

When the embankment began to be rebuilt, the ship caused numerous discussions among both architects and the public. There have been proposals to remove it from the river altogether. But since 2014, two companies - Dreamers United and Flacon - have decided to make something special out of it. This concept saw the outlived tourist career, but still functional motor ship Valery Bryusov, whose photographs illustrate this article, as a public space of a new type. Thematically and architecturally, it had to fit into the new style of the center of Moscow, and also become part of the nearby Muzeon park. This concept was approved by the city authorities and brought to life.

public space

What until recently was the ship "Valery Bryusov"? a lecture hall, a place for walking, a shopping and training center? A little bit of everything. There were also creative studios and a cinema hall, and almost every day various cultural programs were implemented. We can say that this was the first example in the world of using a ship that is laid up in this way. Boutiques, a hairdresser and a health food restaurant were on the main deck. On the boathouse there are various bureaus, agencies, lecture halls and training centers. Above - workshops, fast food with Greek cuisine, as well as panoramic platforms where cultural and festive events were held.

Current state

Nevertheless, recently it turned out that the authorities of the capital nevertheless decided to tow the ship from the Krymskaya embankment. This decision was made by the court, accusing the owners of the vessel that they violated the Water Code of Russia. All tenants of offices and public areas on the ship, at the request of the prosecutor's office, which was satisfied, had to leave its territory before May 27 this year. Now the ship has given moorings from the Crimean embankment for the first time in many years. This time, in order to conduct it under the bridges of the capital, the cabin was dismantled. The ship was brought to the port of the city of Kimry, where its status as a public space will be restored. But not in Moscow anymore. There are some suggestions that the ship can be used again for cruising purposes, with new engines installed and repairs made. After all, this has already happened with ships that were laid up. Well, as they say, wait and see!
