Mile skyscanner. Skyscanner service for buying air tickets. Additional services of Skyscanner

In fact, there is nothing difficult in saving on air tickets and flying with the maximum benefit. I have been consistently buying flights only through skyscanner for many years, but I recently learned about some of the tricks of the site, which I am happy to share with others. In my opinion, this is the most convenient site of all.

How to buy the cheapest flights

There are several rules, following which you will purchase the cheapest ticket on this site.

1. If you are planning a trip in principle, for example, you dream of visiting Maldives , and it doesn’t matter to you which month to fly, on the skyscanner there is such an option as cheapest month for air travel to a specific country. By setting this parameter, the search engine will give you the cheapest prices for the whole year. Further, thanks to the scale, you can choose the cheapest day, flight, and so on.

Prices are available both in the graph in the form of scales and on the calendar. Just click on the cheapest ones and collect your profitable round-trip flight.

2. Probably everyone knows what to buy two-way ticket cheaper than one way often twice. That is, if you buy two tickets from the same carrier in both directions, it will practically cost you the price of one. In addition, in many countries, for example to Zanzibar , a visa is required to enter the country and it is issued if there are round-trip tickets. But this also applies to domestic flights around the country, both ways are always cheaper (I apologize if I didn’t discover America, but I considered it necessary to write)

3. I almost always take tickets not directly from the skyscanner, but go to the official website. Let me explain. If I get the best price from Flydubai or Qatar Airways I will most likely go to their official website and buy tickets there. This will help save another 400-500 rubles per ticket, but that's not the point. Skyscanner, whatever one may say, is not a complete list of all airline flights. Therefore, on official sites there is an opportunity to buy at a more convenient time, for example.

4. It is very easy to pay for a ticket, with a bank card. You simply enter all the necessary data and in a couple of minutes you will receive an electronic ticket for any flight by e-mail. If you are flying on international flights, it is better to print a ticket if it is not necessary within the country. Just go to the check-in desk with your passport, where you are already listed. For many years I have never been asked for a ticket printout (both domestically and in other countries). The only thing you need it for is to apply for a visa at the border, where you need a return ticket and a guarantee that you are not going to stay with them))

Nowadays, it has become quite simple to buy cheap air tickets, just a few clicks from your phone or computer and the vacation is planned and even paid for.
I have Skyscanner downloaded as an application on my phone, it is on skyscanner and airsales that I first of all check for cheap air tickets in order to make a decision before buying.

So, to buy cheap flights with Skyscanner, you need to make just a few clicks.
Do not rush to say that you yourself are aware, Skyscanner has recently significantly improved and updated the interface, introduced new features and it has become quite simple to buy cheap flights through the Skyscanner website.

Fly to Laos for 4000 rubles or to Turkey round trip for 6000 rubles? – Traveling around the world cheaply is not a myth, but a reality.
Do you want to know how? Read today's review, I hope it will be useful and help save time and money.

Skyscanner cheap flights to buy - where to start?

Skyscanner, if anyone did not know, is an aggregator program for finding air tickets. That is, Skyscanner is looking for
according to your requests, air tickets from various airlines, compares them and gives you information about the cheapest
and profitable flights.

I often look for cheap flights for myself or my family and I mainly use only two applications - Aviasales And skyscanner simply because they are the best.

Flexible search on Skyscanner

Let's say you know that you have a vacation in January and want to know where you can fly cheaply at that time.
No need to sit and remember which countries are suitable for you to travel, look for cheap flights for each city
and every country.
Just go to the Skyscanner website by this link and in the line from where we write Russia (then the service will show the most profitable flights throughout the country),
in the column where - select flexible search "Everywhere".

Where to fly for the weekend cheap?

Even if you are just interested in air tickets, do not know the exact dates or where you would like to fly,
not scary. You can enter the widest query, for example, select:

Departure - Russia, To - Everywhere
There - Cheapest Return - Cheapest
and press on the Map icon in the top right

We get just such a map, on which the cheapest flights are marked with dots and
flights are non-stop in green, with one or more transfers in red.

We can also narrow down the search by leaving all map options.
For example, I'm in Thailand and I'm thinking where should I fly from Bangkok in November 2016?

I look at maps and look for the cheapest flights (up to 4000 rubles)
It turns out that for 4000 rubles in November 2016 I can fly back and forth to Vientiane Laos. Not bad.

And if you increase the amount to 6,000 rubles, then for 5,800 rubles I can fly back and forth to Singapore.
Great prices!

That is, after spending only a few minutes on skyscanner search you can decide on the price, route, understand which destinations sell the cheapest flights
and subscribe to price updates for air tickets, if you don’t like the prices that you have come across or you are in doubt.

Search for cheap flights from airlines through Skyscanner

There is an opinion that you can buy cheap tickets directly from airlines.
This is both so and not so. So, if you are lucky and by luck you went to the airline's website exactly
when there are sales in the direction you need and managed to buy.

Not so, because large offices that earn on the sale of air tickets from airlines
they buy tickets in packages and it’s hard for an ordinary person to have time to buy what he is looking for.

Why, in my opinion, is it easier to buy cheap air tickets on skyscanner or Airsales?
Because the same firms that end up selling you the ticket sometimes get rid of the tickets.
at the same prices as they were with the air carrier or even cheaper.
This is how I bought tickets for Aeroflot - Moscow-Bangkok-Moscow and for Transaero, when he was still working.

Through the airfare search engine, you can always catch the cheapest price.

Keep in mind that the cheaper the price and the more popular the destination, the faster this ticket will be bought. So I advise you not to think for a long time and go
for booking and payment. Chip flights they redeem very quickly, as thousands of travelers, like you, monitor air tickets.

In any case, it will not be superfluous to take a walk on the page of the airline you are interested in,
Skyscanner itself invites users to do this:

Find out discounts and promotions on flights

In addition to subscribing to airfare price updates, take a look at
Skyscanner website to the page of current promotions and cheap flights.

This information is current and updated frequently. It is possible to buy the most
cheap flights even on last-minute routes.
On the main page of Skyscanner, click at the bottom "Catch discounts" and see:

Flights to Europe (Vienna) from 85 euros, Amsterdam from 95 euros.

Flights to Asia with Qatar from 24,000 rubles to India and 28,000 rubles to Bangkok per flight
roundtrip. Very good prices, by the way. And the company is good.

When can I buy the cheapest flights?

There are studies, statistics and traveler experiences that
add up to some numbers.

Flight hacks:

It is well known that the cheapest flights are on weekdays,
and if your departure and arrival are scheduled for Saturday-Sunday, then the departure will be
most likely more expensive.

Or that the air ticket is the cheapest to buy in advance. Minimum 4-5 months, and even earlier is better.

Thus, you save from 30 to 50% of the ticket price.

The cost of air tickets the closer to departure, the more expensive.
The exception is "burning" tickets that were "thrown out" without being sold.
or ticket refusers. That is, people changed their minds about flying - tickets returned to the system.

I just caught such cheap flights with the help of price updates. Came at 4-5 in the morning
run to the computer to issue an air ticket as soon as possible. But the price was worth it.

So, for example, a couple of days ago I bought tickets through Skyscanner for my niece on the Moscow-Simferopol route and back,
for 8900 rubles, at the peak of the season and with a return on August 31. For the same dates, everyone else had tickets from 14,000 rubles
Niece flew away, everything is fine :)

The cheapest flights are sold for off-season months - for example, cheaper
just buy tickets for November, January and February. Or late August or early September.

All these months are related to holidays in one way or another. For example, you can fly to Thailand very cheaply.
back and forth at the very end of December, without capturing the new year, since that's what everyone wants
celebrate under a palm tree.
In my memory, it is at the end of December that the cheapest flights from Bangkok to Moscow fall.

Airfare prices for the selected month or year can be viewed in the form of a table:

It shows you the cheapest flights for the dates you can buy on Skyscanner.

How to pay for Skyscanner tickets

After you have chosen the ticket you need and are ready to pay for it, click the continue button.

Don't forget about the cheapest month option. By selecting it, you can plan your
vacation in advance by looking at which month the air tickets are cheapest.

The cheapest air tickets are sold for non-seasonal months for the region: Turkey - January, February. Thailand - December (return to Moscow before the new year),
August and September. Crimea - all months except summer.

It is best to buy cheap flights in advance. months for 4-5.

Departures on weekdays (Monday) are cheaper than on weekends.

The conclusion is this. For many years I have been looking for and booking the cheapest flights or through skyscanner, or through Aviasales. These are the two search engines I check first and subscribe
for price updates. Convenient search, reputation proven over the years, in general, everything suits me and there have never been overlaps (pah pah).

Do you have anything to add to my article? Do you know how it is even more profitable to buy cheap flights?

Booking plane tickets with Skyscanner

Every journey begins with the purchase of longed-for rough sheets of paper - plane tickets, which we nervously fiddle with, worrying about the flight. This usually happens the first time, but over time, when flights become something more or less familiar to us, we pay more attention to the cost of tickets and the level of comfort than to the atmosphere before the flight.

So, after a while, many tourists begin to try to find cheaper tickets, Internet users tend to place an order for plane tickets through online services such as Skyscanner. And the most experienced try to fly not through travel agencies, but as savages, while saving up to two-thirds of vacation costs. In any case, such a service as ordering plane tickets allows you not only to save time and money, but also to simplify your life.

If you have a hotel reservation in your hands and, as a result, an already open visa to the country where you are going. Then there is no point in overpaying a travel agency for formal accompaniment along the way - in fact, you are left to your own devices anyway. Just by having more freedom, you can plan your excursions more freely. When a vacation is supposed to be with small children, the binding to the general routine makes the tour simply an unbearable ordeal.

Now you do not need to worry about the fact that you need to obey the rules. Just book a hotel room in the country where you are going, apply for a visa to the consulate of the resident country. And do not forget about booking plane tickets - having a reservation greatly increases your chances of successfully obtaining a permit.

Hotel Booking & Car Hire Skyscanner

Now on skyscanner you can book hotels and rent a car abroad. Use proven services while traveling!

I continue to fill the blog with general information articles. Perhaps someday this will result in a separate FAQ on the topic of independent travel. I usually adhere to such a plan - if a question is asked repeatedly, then an article on this topic is needed so that next time I can simply answer with a link. This time about how book a plane ticket, a kind of instruction for using the site.

And, yes, be sure to look, because until now not everyone even knows how the hotel search engine differs from the booking system.

So, I often use the service to search for air tickets, so I’ll tell you everything using its example. I like it there, and I like the interface, and the prices... Yes, and it so happened that I found out about it in the first place, the habit has already developed to use it. On other sites, the process of choosing and booking a ticket will be very similar.

Skyscanner is a flight search engine, or in other words an aggregator, that is, it does not sell anything itself, but only shows ticket prices from many airlines. He does not take any commissions for using, but simply redirects you after searching and choosing a particular flight to the website of the airline or agency that sells these tickets. I will talk about this below.

Thus, all your monetary relations will be with the agency or with the airline, because it was they who sold you the ticket, not Skyscanner. It is important to understand and pay attention to the site where you actually buy a ticket. And then beginners still address their questions to the search engine, and not to the agency.

How to book a plane ticket

Fill out the form

All the important points in the photo, which I will talk about, are marked with red lines.

The first thing we see on the main page is a standard search form that includes departure, destination, and flight dates. Everything is clear and simple here. You can also see the offers in the "Cheap tickets" block, it is below and to the right of the search form. Suddenly there is a direction that we just need. And you can immediately fill out the search form.

searching results

For example, I need tickets from Moscow to Sochi. I fill out the form, click "Find" and get the result in the form of a list of flights with prices. For example, I chose Moscow-Sochi and back; there on August 1st, back on August 8th. The cheapest option offered is 10151r from Pobeda. In the search results there are filters on the left, where you can select a direct flight or with a transfer, select specific airlines, the interval for the departure time, the maximum travel time (a handy thing for filtering too long flights, remember it).

There are links for each ticket option: under the price on the right - to the agency (or airline) where you can buy a ticket, under it, the checkbox "Real time" - means that the price is relevant right now. There are options that the price was updated so many hours ago. Below we see links to other agencies that sell these tickets and on the left you can click More details and see all the information about the selected ticket option.

By clicking More, we see all the details of the flight, as well as in which agencies what prices for tickets.
You can buy either at the agency or at the airline. But the latter is not always offered. For example, in the case of Pobeda, Skyscanner offers, you yourself see a link to it in the screenshot, and not just to ticket agencies.

Buying a ticket

After finding the desired flight, follow the link to the agency or airline where you can book a plane ticket. There, the actions are simple - filling in the name and surname, choosing food and luggage (if any), and paying with a bank card (). By the way, in some agencies it is still possible to pay for a ticket with electronic money or in cash at an office or a communication salon, for example, in Euroset or Svyaznoy. The option of paying at the office is more relevant for Moscow, because most of the offices are there. But when buying on the airline's website, most likely, there will be no payment options at all, and they will offer to pay only with a bank card.

Before paying, make sure you read the ticket refund policy (usually cheap tickets are non-refundable), the baggage policy (I have a little about this), choose the food and places (if there is such an option).

Remember, it is not necessary to go from Skyscanner to agency websites and book a plane ticket. If the link to the airline is not specified, then you can manually find its website (we know its name from “Flight Information”), and check the price for the desired date, whether it is different or not, and choose where it is cheaper.

Useful Features for Travelers

Search for tickets on the Price Calendar

Since we chose back and forth, the Calendar shows us two blocks of prices at once. Two blocks of prices ("Departure" and "There and back"), and both for the month of August, as we chose. The lower block is not very aptly named "There and Back", in fact it is a return ticket.

Please note that you can view search results in the "Table" format (I like it the most), or in the "Calendar" format. But the prices are shown the same, the difference is only in the visual display.

After a little poking around on different dates, I chose August 16 and August 23. Both days are Sunday, that is, not much has changed and I will also stay in Sochi for a week (last time I searched for August 1 and 8, these were Saturdays). Now the ticket costs 8600 rubles (I remind you that when specifying the exact dates, the price was 10151 rubles). The savings seem to be small, but if you have a family of 5 people, then it will already be noticeable. And if you fly somewhere in Asia, where the ticket is 5 times more expensive, then the savings can come out appropriate.

As you can see in the screenshot, you can choose lower prices, but tickets will be for weekdays. If you don't care about the day of the week, you can always check and choose the cheapest option. And, pay attention, when you change the day of departure in the calendar, the prices for the return ticket, in the lower block, also change.

Search for tickets by destination (country)

After pressing the "Find" button, we immediately see which cities in Germany for the selected date have the cheapest tickets and which airlines. Now it remains only to select the city of arrival, for example, Berlin.

P.S. Cheap tickets to all and good travels!

Do you know that more than 80% of Russians and Belarusians have never been abroad in their lives? Not a single drop! How, how can this be? Do you believe in such statistics? I refuse to believe!

Now I decided to fill the blog with useful information in order to make a small contribution to the development of a culture of independent travel.

I want anyone, even someone who has never traveled abroad and bought nothing on the Internet, to be able to quickly plan an independent vacation or trip from start to finish with the help of my blog.

The first question that a traveler faces is how to buy cheap air tickets to get to their destination?

Like many other travelers, I buy tickets online and use two search engines for this: , in the exact order in which they are listed in this proposal.

I enter my flight dates, destination and check the prices on three sites at once, after which I buy where the price is lower and the flight conditions are the most suitable.

First of all I go to Skyscanner

Why do I love Skyscanner?

1. Skyscanner often finds the lowest prices

2. Skyscanner is very flexible and comfortable search: you can specify in the criteria not the cities of departure and arrival, but countries or the whole world. You can also choose not specific dates, but the whole month or year and see which days are the cheapest to fly. Below I will talk about this in more detail.

3. Skyscanner shows ticket prices for low-cost airlines, including Ryanair, Wizzair, AirAsia and other European, Asian, Latin American low-cost airlines

I recommend watching a video in which I show the whole process of buying tickets online and tell you what you should pay attention to. If you prefer to read, then below the video is a detailed text instruction:

How to Find and Buy Flights Online at Skyscanner

1. Today we will be looking for a flight from Moscow to Thailand, but the same principles apply to any other flight.

It does not matter where you are flying from and where you want to land - in Rome, London or Johannesburg.

2. Where. Fill in the first field "From". This is one of the main advantages of Skyscanner - you can search for flights all over the country.

For example, you want to get from Russia to Thailand and you can fly both from St. Petersburg and from Moscow. Then you just type in the first line - "Russia".

The same applies to flights from Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan. You can choose your city of departure or the country of departure.

If you want to fly from Moscow, and the airport of departure does not play a role, then in the first line you should type "Moscow (Any)".

Accordingly, if there is a need to depart from a specific airport, you can specify its name, for example, "Moscow Domodedovo (DME)"

3. Where. Fill in the second field "Where". This is your destination. You can also specify a country, a specific city, or an airport on this line.

My favorite feature of Skyscanner is the ability to select “Everywhere” in the “To” column, then the search engine will show all flights from the city you need around the world, sorted by cost.

4. Routes. You can check the "Only direct flights" box, then the search engine will only find non-stop flights.

You should also note if you need a one-way or round-trip ticket. If you want to fly, for example, to Rome, and stay there to live, then it is more expedient to buy a one-way flight. To do this, we put a mark in the column "one way", but if you need a ticket in both directions, then we mark the column "There and back".

If you plan a difficult route. For example, Moscow - Bangkok - Phuket - Moscow, then choose "Difficult route"

5.Dates. Choose a departure date. Click on the calendar icon on the right. You can select specific dates on the calendar, or if your travel days are not fixed, click "All Month" and see which days are cheaper to fly.

For example, weekday flights often cost less than weekend flights. You can even set "Cheapest month" and find out the cost of the cheapest tickets of the year.

6. We choose the date of the return flight according to the same principle.

7. Passengers. We drive in the number of adults and children (from 12 years old, up to 12 years old, up to 2 years old) and select the class - Economy, Premium Economy, Business Class and First Class. The cheapest is usually in Economy class. After that, click the "Find" button

8. Result. A window opens in which we see which cities in (in this case in Thailand) we can fly from Moscow.

In our example, in October 2016, it will be cheapest to fly from Moscow to Phuket - a ticket with transfers will cost 359$ roundtrip. Ticket to Bangkok 380$

If you check the box “Only non-stop flights”, then Moscow-Phuket-Moscow tickets will cost $682

9. Prices. A price calendar appears. In the left column are the price of a ticket there, in the right - back.

You need to select one of the days so that the final price for the dates that suit you appears, and then click on the "Show flights" button.

Keep in mind that hundreds of thousands of people are looking for and buying tickets at the same time as you, so the prices in the calendar and in the table are approximate. The data is updated daily and taken from the cache. For the time you're looking for, someone else might buy.

You can also switch the calendar to a spreadsheet by clicking on the corresponding tab

10. Flight details. Next, a table pops up with available flights and prices, as well as an indication of the airline operating the flight. I always look at the time of departure, arrival and the duration of the transfer. To do this, you can click "More".

If the time of departure or arrival is at night, I try not to buy such tickets, since in this case I will have to take a taxi and overpay at night rates.

If the transfer is too short (1 hour), I read other people's reviews about the airport on the Internet. For example, in Minsk you can definitely make it in 1 hour, but you won’t be able to make a transfer in Mexico City in 1 hour, no matter how fast you run

11. Ticket booking. If the ticket suits me in all respects, I book it, if not, I click “New Search” again, check the calendar, change the dates until I find cheap flights that will suit me in all respects.

After the necessary conditions are found, click "View". A waiting window appears for a few seconds. During this time, Skyscanner redirects you to the website of the agency or airline. In our example, this will be Sindbad, but in your case, it can be any other resource with a lower price.

The essence of Skyscanner's work is to check the prices of all ticket agencies and airlines, and then show you from whom it is more profitable to buy a ticket. Myself Skyscanner sells nothing, but only searches and compares suitable options.

Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a ticket on the carrier's website, but most often - from ticket agencies. Skyscanner compares prices from airlines and agencies and sorts the results in ascending order of price.

If the difference in prices on the website of the airline and the ticket agency is insignificant, I recommend buying tickets on the website of the carrier airline.

12. Buying a ticket. After you have gone to the website of the airline or agency, you must fill in all the fields.

The page may look different depending on which agency's website you land on. Usually you need to specify the Surname, Name in Latin as in abroad, passport expiration date, country of issue, your nationality, phone and email.

Be careful when filling out the form, especially when specifying name and surname in Latin. Often this data cannot be changed. Electronic tickets will be sent to the email you specified, so indicate your email.

13. Payment. We choose any method convenient for you, for example, with a bank card, write the type of your card, card number (16 digits on the front side), expiration date, name of the holder in Latin as it is indicated on the front side of the card, CVC code and click "Pay".

Some sites may charge additional fees for card payments. Unfortunately, you cannot find out about this in advance until you fill in all the data. For example, on some sites you will have to pay an additional fee for paying with a Visa card. If you have a Mastercard Debit, then you will not have to pay extra.

14.E-ticket. After you have paid for the tickets, they are sent to the email specified when filling in the data (see paragraph 12).

I don’t even print e-tickets, now in most cases it’s enough to have a passport with you or know the reservation number, but you can play it safe and print it or save it to your phone.

They look different. For example, like this:

15. Checking in for a flight online. As a rule, a few days before departure, a link to electronic check-in for the flight is sent to your email. To avoid queuing at the airport, I always check in online. If I fly with low-cost airlines, I print out my boarding pass at home. If regular, then I do not print anything.

16. Checking the status of the reservation. To do this, we drive in the name of the airline that operates your future flight in Google, the official website of the company we need will usually pop up in the first line.

We go in, select a language convenient for us and look for the words "Booking", "Manage Booking", "My Booking" or something similar. These words may vary depending on the carrier.

After the section we need is found, enter your last name in Latin and the reservation number (it is indicated on electronic tickets).

If we did everything right, we will get to the personal account, where we can find out the status of our flight or manage the booking (cancel it, reschedule, etc., depending on the conditions of the fare for which the ticket was purchased).

Conclusion: For several years now I have been looking for and buying cheap tickets through, because there is a convenient search, and the agencies that the search engine works with have a good reputation.

Skyscanner often redirects to the website of the airline itself, searches for low-cost flights and finds good discounts, and a flexible search by country and month cannot but rejoice.

To calm my conscience, I also check prices from other search engines:. I will tell you about their advantages and disadvantages another time.

How do you buy air tickets?

Convenient search engines for you! Sincerely,
