Middle Dalmatia

Resorts of Central Dalmatia

Makarska Riviera- a region of Central Dalmatia, beloved by tourists, stretching for tens of kilometers along the coast at the base of the most beautiful mountains of Biokovo. Here are the best beaches and resorts in Croatia for families: Baska Voda, Makarska, Brela, Tucepi.

In a quiet bay at the foot of the mountains is a resort town Makarska surrounded by two peninsulas. The beaches at this resort are pebbly, the place is calm and quiet.

Cozy and quiet resort Primosten suitable for a leisurely getaway. It is located on the Raduca peninsula (60 km from Split). The beaches are small areas covered with pebbles, but mostly rocky platforms. The water is very clean and transparent.

Split- a seaport and the largest city in the country, located between southern Dubrovnik and Zadar. It conditionally divides Dalmatia into two parts. The airport is located 25 km from the city.

There are good beaches here - small pebble and pebble with a gentle entrance to the transparent bright turquoise sea. The climate is Mediterranean, mild. Pine trees grow near the water.

At this resort you can see monuments of unique architecture of various architectural styles, historical sites. Its historical center with the main attraction - the ruins of Diocletian's palace - is included in the UNESCO list.

Trogir- a small but very interesting town 27 kilometers from Split. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the historical part of the town is located on an island (included in the UNESCO list), which is connected by a bridge to the island of Ciovo on one side, and on the other side is connected by a bridge to the mainland.

There are no beaches in the city itself, but there is a port. Bathing places can be reached on foot, by water, by bus or taxi. The beaches are pebbly, sea urchins often come across.

Podgora- the most comfortable resort town of Central Dalmatia with pine forests, Mediterranean vegetation, olive gardens, excellent small-pebble beaches. This resort can be added to the list of places for family holidays in Croatia.

Brac- one of the largest islands of the Adriatic Sea (its length is 40 km, width - 12 km), covered with lavender fields, pine forests, olive and grape groves.

From Split by ferry you can reach the island in an hour. You can stay here for a couple of days. The award will be the best beaches in Croatia (pebbles and sand) and an interesting educational program.

There are two resort towns on the island - Bol and Supetar. Near Bol (the tourist center of the Adriatic) is the famous Golden Cape beach.

Hvar- the sunniest and longest island of the Adriatic with small medieval islands, amazing aromas of lavender and rosemary, lush subtropical vegetation, with sandy, small-pebble and pebble beaches.

The main resort of the island is Jelsa (port city) with beautiful sandy beaches, the sandy bay of Milna and the Soline thermal spa on the Glavica peninsula.

South Dalmatia

The beaches are mostly concrete platforms, pebbly, rocky and rocky. And this, of course, is a minus for children's recreation. In addition, it is especially hot here during the summer months.

Mlini– a resort 10 km from Dubrovnik and 12 km from the airport. The beaches here are small pebbles, with the exception of a sandy beach near the village in the village of Srebreno.

Kolochep Island with two small villages located almost nearby (they are separated by a distance of 3 km), it is famous for its impeccably clean air. Hotels are represented on the island by the only hotel and the sandy beach opposite.

Korcula Island- a large and very beautiful island of the Adriatic with Mediterranean vegetation and centuries-old pine trees that completely cover the island, with beaches in quiet bays covered with pebbles and sand.
