In the clear sky of Donetsk The steppe breeze catches up with the pigeon flock. Follow the fly without ceasing, This song is simple - The song of difficult mining roads. What do you know about the sun, If you were not in the mine, If you see the sun in the morning. Only he appreciates the sun And the high sky, Who rose from the dawn to the mountain. Do not look girlfriend At the miner's hands - Donetsk coal is not washed off from them. You look into their eyes and into their hearts, relatives - A golden light burns there. So let in the evenings Young winds From the white apple trees blow off the outfit. And let in the evenings Lights, like rubies, burn above native piles...

This is the song of my childhood. My grandfather and father were miners. I was born and raised in a mining village not far from the city of Krasny Luch, Life decreed that I do not live in the Donbass, but it is always in my heart and this song is one of my dearest songs, This is a song about the life of miners: their hard work and a great miner's love for life, woman and the pursuit of happiness,

On the last Sunday of August, people whose lives are connected with one of the most difficult and dangerous professions celebrate their professional holiday. Just a few decades ago, in our country, not only many industries depended on coal mining, but also how comfortable the population would be in a cold winter in their homes. However, with the development of gasification, coal continues to occupy a significant place in the economy, and not only as a fuel for heating residential and other premises, but also as an indispensable component in metallurgy ...

Our Klimovsky region is rich in people of various professions. The profession of a miner is no exception, which at one time was perfectly mastered by many of our fellow countrymen. Especially a lot of them, natives of our region, went to conquer an unknown business in our area in the 50s and 60s of the last century. At that time, mostly young people went to work in the mines of the Donbass and Lugansk region, Kuzbass and the Rostov region, sometimes they went, barely having time to create their own family, and having settled in a new place, they invited relatives to their place. And once they fell in love with the chosen profession of a miner, they remained in those mining regions for the rest of their lives ...
... While still studying at the Novoyurkovichi school in the difficult and hungry post-war years, Vanya Laguto began to think about the profession of a miner. She attracted a rural boy who knew about her only by hearsay, and the fact that the miners at that time had good earnings. Indeed, in their native collective farm, adults worked for workdays, or, as they say, for a stick. That is, collective farmers practically did not see cash payment for their work. And the more the growing guy learned about mining work, the stronger his dream to master this profession became. Immediately after the end of the eight-year plan, Ivan Laguto left for the Luhansk region, where he entered the Kadiyevsky Mining School, and two years after graduation, he already had a document in his hands confirming that he was an underground electrician and certifying his belonging to the mining business . But, as you know, the way underground, to the face, opens only when you reach the age of 18. Before the army, he worked for two years at mine No. 77 in the Donbas. Then, after serving the prescribed three years, Ivan Laguto decided to enlist to work in a place that was not quite usual even for miners - at a mine in the city of Vorkuta. At that time, the Vorkutaugol plant, already well-known in the country, was recruiting workers. In the harsh northern region, Ivan was first offered the job of an electrical fitter of the third category, but after some time, having become well accustomed to the profession, he asks to be transferred to a stope miner.
- This is hard work, - Ivan Ivanovich Laguto recalls his mining past, with whom we talk on a hot August day on the veranda of his house in Novye Yurkovichi. - I worked, perhaps, on one of the most dangerous sites. My responsibilities also included the installation of underground fasteners in the mine, immediately after the coal combine. An important role for me, of course, was played by the high pay for such dangerous and difficult work. I will not hide, I wanted to earn more for my future life. I understood that the miner's age was not long. As a rule, acquired occupational diseases subsequently make themselves felt ...
Soon, Ivan Ivanovich Laguto graduated from the Vorkuta Mining College of the USSR Ministry of the Coal Industry with a degree in Underground Mining of Coal Deposits on the job and was offered the responsible position of a mining foreman.
Life so happened that, for family reasons, the miner had to move from Vorkuta to Kemerovo, he also changed his place of work to the Berezovskaya mine, which is still well known not only in Kuzbass, but also in the country. Over the years of mining work, Ivan was repeatedly awarded with diplomas, was twice awarded the title of "Shock Worker of Communist Labor", was awarded medals "For Valiant Labor in Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of V.I. Lenin" and "Veteran of Labour".
But then my health began to fool around, I had to leave the mining profession. Having issued a pension for underground experience, Ivan Ivanovich worked for some time in logging in the Komi ASSR, and then returned to his native village and began to build his house in Novye Yurkovichi. But even in his native land, being on a well-deserved rest, he continued his labor activity. He worked both in local and neighboring collective farms in various positions, including deputy chairman for construction, and then for about two decades he worked as a forester of the Churovichi forestry. But, as they say, a person does not live by bread alone, but the beginning of occupational diseases of a miner prompted him to not only go to the foresters, as they say, into the fresh forest air, but also engage in beekeeping.
- I have been dealing with bees for more than a dozen years, - Ivan Ivanovich says, offering me to taste honey freshly rolled out of the frame. - I personally experienced how useful and important honey and other waste products of bees are in our life. They give a person strength, heal from many ailments. I turn 75 this year, but I feel much younger. All thanks to the regular use of the most useful bee products. Today there are 30 hives left in my apiary, but there were years when there were over a hundred of them ...
We must pay tribute to the fact that Ivan Ivanovich willingly shares the secrets of an experienced beekeeper with beginner beekeepers. Not one of his acquaintances began to deal with bees with the light hand of Ivan Ivanovich.
For many years they have been going hand in hand in the life of Laguto's wife. They are also parents of many children. His wife Nadezhda Mikhailovna bore Ivan Ivanovich five children: two sons and three daughters. To the great grief of the spouses, one daughter died.
All the children of Ivan Ivanovich and Nadezhda Mikhailovna live with their families, but they like to get together, especially in summer, in the spacious house of their parents. On such days, both children and grandchildren try in every possible way to help them with the housework. And in the farmstead of the Laguto family there is a place for pigs, and chickens, and ducks, and rabbits.
And, of course, according to tradition, on Sunday, August 26, all this large family in Novye Yurkovichi will definitely gather at the festive table to celebrate Ivan Ivanovich's professional holiday - Miner's Day. There will be congratulations and toasts.
We also congratulate Ivan Ivanovich Laguto, in his person and all veterans of the coal mining industry, natives of our region. Happy holiday, dear ones! Health to you and longevity!
