Fishing and hunting base Okunevaya is located on the shores of the Gulf of Finland near the village of Ozerki near Zelenogorsk. In general, the Gulf of Finland is quite a popular holiday destination among residents of St. Petersburg and other cities of the Leningrad region. During the year, fishermen, hunters, water sports enthusiasts, divers and just vacationers who are tired of the hustle and bustle of large settlements like to come here.

From the point of view of fishing, the Gulf of Finland is of great interest to fans of trolling, spinning and bottom fishing, as well as winter fishing. Arriving here, you can count on the capture of pike perch, perch, bream, snags, pike, roach, salmon and other fish. The number of trophy specimens is also impressive, which is why many fishing enthusiasts come here in the hope of catching a large pike perch or bream.

For paintball enthusiasts, there is a spacious specialized area with trenches and other fortifications. Paintball equipment is issued directly at the base. An original playground has been built for children, on which swings, slides and other attractions are located.

Okunevaya Bay, located on the southeastern coast of the Sea of Japan in the Partizansky district of Primorsky Krai, is considered one of the best places for a beach holiday in the Far East. It is adjacent to no less picturesque small bays - Triozerye and Spokoynaya.

Locals also call this small bay Little Tazgou. The exotic name remained in memory of the Chinese who once settled in these places, and in the original it sounds like Dazigou (translated as “Taz River”).

Attractions of the bay

Until the middle of the 20th century, there was a small settlement of Tazgou, in which a settlement of prisoners was located directly at the main beach. Nowadays, on the shore you can see the remains of a sawmill, a forge, large cement tanks. In them, the prisoners salted fish, extracted fish oil, and extracted iodine from seaweed by boiling.

Rocky remnants of the most bizarre forms, reminiscent of fabulous landscapes, are considered to be the decoration of the bay. On the way to it, which goes through the forest growth, it will be quite possible to pick up a whole basket of mushrooms.

You can sunbathe and swim in crystal clear and warm sea water on three beaches. Two of them are located on the coast of Bolshaya Okuneva and one is on the coast of Malaya Okuneva Bay. The entire beach area is covered with finely dispersed white sand. The bottom of the sea near the shore is also sandy, and the entrance to the water is very convenient even for small children. However, there is practically no infrastructure in the bay (except for civilized guest houses), which attracts tourists who prefer to relax as "savages" in a tent camping.

The most popular recreation centers in Okuneva Bay are:

  • "Green's Shore";
  • "Cote d'Azur"
  • "Oasis";
  • "Dream Bay"
  • "Vek";
  • Robinson and many others.

Prices for accommodation in the bay on average vary from 4000 RUB to 7000 RUB per day. They include staying in cozy houses with a veranda, kitchen, bathroom, hot water supply. There are also cafes and canteens for those who do not want to cook on their own. Those who come with kids will be pleased with the presence of an inflatable children's pool and a playground at each base. For adults, there are activities such as:

  • diving;
  • boat excursions;
  • visiting the sauna;
  • gym right on the beach.

The best time to visit Okuneva Bay is from mid-June to the last weeks of September, but places in the houses should be booked in advance: during the season, almost all of them are occupied.

How to get to the bay

To get to the beaches of Okuneva Bay as quickly as possible, you must do the following:

  • Leave Vladivostok by car along the highway leading to Nakhodka, in the direction of the Vostochny port settlement, and drive straight all the time without turning off the main road.
  • After leaving behind Wrangel, located on the left side of the highway, at the first turn (after 3-4 km) turn left in the direction of the village of Pervostroiteley.
  • To get to the beach of Bolshaya Okuneva, you should drive 3 km along the dirt road in the direction of Triozerye Bay. Turn right at the second turn: only 5 km separates you from the bay, covering the territory of the hill. If you want to relax on the beach of Malaya Okuneva, you will have to drive through Pervostroiteley, and then 2 km on good asphalt and 11 km on an unpaved road all the way to the shore.

Okunevaya Bay is a truly exclusive vacation, which is in no way inferior to a trip to warm countries.

Okunevaya Bay (Malaya Tazgou) is located in the Partizansky district, in the Triozerye region (southeast of Primorsky Krai).

Infrastructure:

There are no infrastructure facilities on the coast of Okuneva Bay (except for the territories of recreation centers).

Accommodation:

On the beach of Malaya Okuneva there are recreation centers and. On the beach of Bolshaya Okuneva there are both recreation centers (,) and undeveloped areas, which is attractive for vacationers with tents.

How to get there:

Beaches of Bolshaya Okunevaya: Move along the Vladivostok-Nakhodka highway to the city of Nakhodka. Then leave the city of Nakhodka in the direction of the port "Vostochny". Continue driving in the indicated direction, following the main road. Pass Vrangel (to the left of the main road) without turning anywhere. After a few kilometers from the above settlement, turn left to Pervostroiteley (pointer on a blue background). Then 3 km along a dirt road towards Triozerye Bay. At the second fork, turn right into the hill (there are signs - to Okunevaya Bay) - and so 5 km along dirt passes to the bay itself.

Malaya Okuneva beach: Move along the Vladivostok-Nakhodka highway to the city of Nakhodka. Then leave the city of Nakhodka in the direction of the port "Vostochny". Continue driving in the indicated direction, following the main road. Pass Vrangel (to the left of the main road) without turning anywhere. Bay Okunevaya, the old name is small Tazgou, one of the best, in my opinion, bays of Primorsky Krai. The bay has a beautiful sandy beach with coarse white sand, beautiful rocky shores on both sides of the bay, and the sea with clear azure water. There are three separate beaches in Okuneva Bay, all three are great places to relax. On the territory of Okuneva there are recreation centers: "Azure Coast", "Dream Bay", "Green Coast" and several more bases with houses.

I liked Okunevaya Bay for its cozy atmosphere and more suitable for families with children than Triozerye. Of course, Triozerye is a large and gorgeous beach, but it’s harder with children there, because. The beach is large and you have to keep children under supervision all the time. And in Okunevaya beach it is much smaller (at the bases of "Cote d'Azur", "Dream Bay"), but there are fewer people. On the territory of the bases there is everything for children's recreation, from the playground to the pool, where children enjoy splashing in warmer water than in the sea. The beach has everything for adults to relax, an outdoor gym, a sauna, diving, boat trips and much more. On the territory of the base there are all services, from a cafe to a shop. The rooms are equipped with everything you need and are suitable for families.

When going to Okunevaya, keep in mind that there are no free parking lots, the road essentially rests on recreation centers. So if you are planning a free vacation with tents, then this place is definitely not suitable.

Bay Okunevaya stands out for its azure water in the sea. The water is crystal clear and transparent plays with different colors depending on the depth, from transparent near the shore to dark blue at depth. The bottom of the sea is sandy, and rocky near the rocks. Therefore, here you can safely swim on the sandy shore and dive with a mask and flippers on the rocky shores. True, the water in Okunevaya Bay is cooler than on the same beaches or, but the beauty is incomparable.

For a vacation in Okuneva Bay, the time is more suitable from mid-June to the end of September, depending on the weather, so when planning your vacation in Okuneva, take care of booking cabins, because there are almost no rooms available during the high season.

Where is it located and how to get to Okuneva Bay

History of Okuneva Bay

By the way, Okuneva Bay has an interesting history, it used to be called the small Tazgou, this old Chinese name is derived from Dazigou - the Taz river. Until the end of the 1950s, there was a settlement of Tazgou, and a settlement of prisoners was located near the main beach in Okuneva. There were barracks, a smithy, a sawmill, a pier. The prisoners were engaged in salting fish, making boxes, barrels, boiled iodine from seaweed, extracted fish oil. Only the remains of cement vats remind of fishing activities.

I am reporting from Okuneva Bay, located on the northern wooded shore of the Gulf of Finland, about a hundred kilometers from St. Petersburg. The end of the second decade of August 2015. Dawn. I am standing on a stone at the foot of a man-made pier made of huge boulders, leaving the shore at a right angle. At the end of the pier is a chapel. Good at heart!

Twenty years ago, I was fishing with my friends in a nearby bay: we arrived in the evening, went out to fish at dawn in inflatable boats. Fishing did not work out: during the night the July weather changed decisively - it was openly stormy. Our boats pretty much shook on the wave. We demonstrated to each other that pitching does not affect us in any way. However, forty minutes later, nevertheless, under various pretexts, they went ashore without a catch. Finally, we looked around with regret: among the picturesque stones in a high-tossed boat not far from the shore, only one fisherman continued to fish covered in spray. The gloomy sky, now and then drizzling with rain, did not promise us anything good. From damp clothes and piercing wind it was chilly.

Having lowered the boats, we loaded into the car left in the pine forest, and moved to this very Okunyova Bay, well covered from the waves by several islands or, rather, ridges of stones. On the shore, somehow unnaturally, was a fishing trawler. The bay was spacious, quiet and calm. Having passed it on oars from end to end, then they decided that this was a spiritual and, probably, a fishing place. But perches did not peck despite the name of the bay. Our boats stood side by side: I saw that my friends could not adapt to catching roach in any way - either they would attach one tackle, then the other - the fish almost didn’t take it. My winter, but large mormyshka pecked incessantly - it was even somehow embarrassing in front of my comrades for a decent catch. Apparently, the roach pecked in half the water and a simple "planning" tackle turned out to be very useful. I fell in love with this bay covered with pines with all my heart, although I was in it only once. Dreamed of visiting here again!

And here I am again! The grandson is a fourth-grader ten days away, got up, brushed his teeth and got ready easily. We walked in thinning twilight among the cottages of the recreation center to the pier: apparently, the kid was interested. The night before, I showed him how to use a spinning rod, a new tackle for him. Having confused the tackle of my and his spinning, he provided me with something to do for the rest of the evening. Yesterday morning I easily pulled ashore 5 grams of perch at 250 each. By my standards near Moscow, this is a very decent result for a trial fishing trip.

But something is not right now! My grandson is exercising to the left of me at twenty meters, cormorants - to the right of a hundred. Amazing black birds either dive or take off with acceleration through the water. The area where we fish is covered with small, but rather sharp stones - it's still a pleasure to walk on them! Therefore, it is more convenient to simply stand on one of them, picking up the smoothest and not very slippery from wet algae. "Yesterday was a warm day, but today it's damn cold!" - I note to myself, shifting in rubber boots with the inscription "Leningrad" on the top. There is a mark from the fire on the toe of the right boot - in Severomorsk he went on night fishing for trout with a colleague and in a dream stuck his foot into the fire.

Meanwhile, the fog spreads in waves and moves along the water to the opposite shore of the bay, where a trawler was moored many years ago. Damn cold! I look at my grandson - waving a stick, like a frantic one. "Frozen?" - I ask. "A little. Hands are frozen, like at the North Pole!" - answers the novice spinning player. "And I'm cold without the pole!" - I think to myself. However, something is slowly but steadily changing in the world around us. Finally, the sun comes out from behind the pier. Everything is painted so far in not very bright rays. On the water, here and there, circles begin to appear. Light splashes are heard. "Perch chases fry!" I conclude. "It's time!" But no matter how hard I try, I catch only two perches, smaller than yesterday's.

Judging by the more frequent strokes of the spinning rod and the noisy movements of the fisherman along the coast on the left, my catch did not go unnoticed. "Nervous! As I understand it!" - I think. It can be seen that the "quota" for catching fish by us this morning was greatly reduced. Looking at the buildings of the still sleeping recreation center taking on color, I, having not warmed up and could not cope with the chills, dream that my grandson would quickly confuse both spinning rods and we finally returned to fill up in a warm room. But where is it! Granddaughter, running along the beach on the sand for warming up, throws the lure again and again, leaving me no hope for a worthy end to fishing.

"Can we go?!" - I softly throw a trial balloon. "Okay. Let's go" - after thinking for a while, the boy agrees with obvious regret. "Grandfather, are we going to go fishing in the morning?!" the grandson asks when we arrive at the hotel. "Let's go, of course! Where are we going?!"

Reviews

A wonderful story.
I remembered how once we spent the night on the banks of the Western Litsa.
Three of us gathered for fishing: my husband and I and the commander of the nuclear submarine Kolya Shashkov are not a small boy. Since the base was supposed to be a bathhouse with a stove left over from the Germans -
a structure made of corrugated iron elements, covered on the outside with a decent layer of peat, did not burden themselves with any tent.

We reached the place, and instead of a bathhouse - burnt peat and in the ashes, crumpled by fire
pieces of iron... I don't know what considerations the arsonists were guided by: did they have such a hobby, or did they destroy the memory of the mountain rangers, who were economically located on our right bank.

August, it's late in the evening - in those places it gets dark quickly at this time.
It's far from the town, and you don't want to return empty-handed.

The men went to the water, and I found a cozy boulder and comfortably settled down on it, like in an armchair. Upstream, the threshold rustles, above it, in the fog, the sun, tired over the summer, clings to the bushes ...

And suddenly, against the background of a large reddish disk above the threshold, a huge comma soars
big salmon. Once - did not take the height. The second ... Such a will to continue life was in her flights that I wholeheartedly rooted for this fish mother, and even
I think that by the power of my thought I helped her safely fly up to the threshold))).

As for people, we froze on cold stones not weakly. In the morning a fire was lit, in which Kolya set fire to his size 47 (?) boot. Warmed up only on the pass, which overlooked the town
By the way, Anatoly, did you meet any of the Popadins at the school or at work? The eldest could teach at the school, the three younger ones - all Nikolaevich-
study.
