Change the code in the burglar alarm sail 4. Operating instructions

PURPOSE:

Sail 12-4.5M "Sail-6M" is designed to provide uninterrupted power supply to fire and security alarm devices, video surveillance cameras, electromechanical locks and other consumers at a nominal voltage of 12 V DC.

The redundant secondary power source "Sail 12-4.5M (Sail-6M)" has light indicators on the front panel: "NETWORK" indicates the presence of mains voltage; "OUTPUT" indicates the presence of the output voltage or the presence of a fault.

On the side panel "Sail 12-4.5M (Sail-6M)" there is an "Output" switch designed to turn on / off the output voltage. When the "Exit" switch is disabled, the "EXIT" indicator lights up red and a single-tone sound signal is emitted. The blocking of the output voltage shutdown is carried out by closing the JP jumper installed on the board.

When powered from the mains and when the overload protection is triggered, the +12V output is turned off, the "OUTPUT" indicator lights up red and a single-tone sound signal is emitted.

When powered from the mains or from a battery and when the output is short-circuited, the FU2 fuse blows, the "OUTPUT" indicator lights up in red and a single-tone sound signal is emitted.

Continuous operation of IVEPR in short circuit or overload mode is not allowed.

The battery is charged in buffer mode with a voltage of 13.7 ... 13.9 V.

When the battery is deeply discharged, the +12V output is turned off, the "OUTPUT" indicator lights up red and a single-tone sound signal is emitted. When a discharged battery is installed in "Sail 12-4.5M (Sail-6M)", the "NETWORK" indicator lights up yellow until the battery is charged.

Sail-4 (Sail 12-1P version 1)

Description Parus-4 (Sail 12-1P version 1)

Redundant source of secondary electrical power Parus-4, which serves to maintain operability, during a power outage in the AC network, such fire and security and security alarm devices as electromechanical locks, detectors, and so on. Housing design Parus-4 provides for the possibility of mounting it in a vertical position on walls or other vertical surfaces. The performance characteristics of the device Parus-4 allow automatic switching of consumers to battery power, as well as light indication of the network status.

Designation Sail-4 version 1 (Sail 12-1P version 1)

Sail 12-1P isp. 1 (Sail-4) is used to ensure the continuous operation of devices that require a supply voltage of 12 V, and is designed for round-the-clock operation.
When the IVEP overload protection is triggered, the +12V output is turned off, the "+12V" indicator flashes red and an intermittent sound signal is emitted.
Restoration of the output voltage after the removal of a short circuit or overload occurs after 20...30 s. Continuous operation of the IVEP in the short circuit or overload mode is not allowed.
IVEP uses the "smooth" switching on of the output voltage, so the delayed appearance of the output voltage indication is normal.
The battery is charged in buffer mode with a voltage of 13.7:13.8 V.
When the battery is deeply discharged, the +12V output is turned off, the "Battery" indicator goes out, the "+12V" indicator briefly flashes red and a short-term single-tone signal is emitted. When a deeply discharged or defective battery is installed in the IVEP, the "ACB" indicator does not turn on until the battery is charged.

Features Sail-4 version 1 (Sail 12-1P version 1)

  • Ability to work with overcurrent and capacitive loads up to 4700 uF.
  • Two outputs for connecting the load, each output has a separate filter
  • Electronic protection:
    - when the battery is reversed
    - at short circuit
    - when overloaded in the load

User manual

Thank you for choosing a redundant secondary power supply " SAIL-4" made by NPO "Siberian ARSENAL". This product will ensure reliable operation of the alarm system at your facility. Secondary power supply redundant "PARUS-4" TU 4372-028-11858298-04 (hereinafter referred to as IVEP) is designed to ensure the continuous operation of security systems - fire alarms, electromechanical locks and other consumers at a rated voltage of 12 V DC, during a power outage in the power supply networks.

The design of the PARUS-4 device and the principle of operation

IVEP design provides for its use in a wall position. In the PARUS-4 case, holes are provided for its fastening and for the input of power wires and connecting lines. On the printed circuit board there are screw terminals for connecting power supply and 12V output to IVEP. There is also a fuse in the battery circuit that protects the IVEP from improper battery connection. The cover must be removed to access the terminal blocks.
PARUS-4 is powered by 187...242 V alternating current mains 50 Hz and a built-in battery with a nominal capacity of 1.2 Ah.
IVEP is designed for installation inside a protected facility and is designed for round-the-clock operation. Provides automatic transition to battery power in the absence of mains voltage. IVEP provides power to devices both equipped and not equipped with their own mains power sources.
When PARUS-4 is powered from the mains, the battery is recharged.
SAIL-4 has light indicators on the front panel:
- "Network" indicates the presence of mains voltage;
- "Output 12 V" indicates the presence of output voltage.
Switch located on the front panel
designed to remove the output voltage.
IVEP is equipped with electronic protection against overload (>1 A) or short circuit of the 12V output, as well as protection against deep battery discharge up to a voltage of 10.3 ± 0.7 V. When the protection is triggered SAIL-4 the 12V output is turned off, while the indicator "Output 12V" flashes red and a short sound signal is emitted. When the battery is deeply discharged, signals are issued with a period of 3-5 seconds. IVEP design does not provide for its operation under the influence of aggressive environments and in explosive premises.

PARUS-4 installation procedure

Install SAIL-4 at a protected facility in a place where it is protected from the effects of precipitation, mechanical damage and access by unauthorized persons. Install the lines connecting the IVEP with the mains voltage source, and connect the power circuits of the devices to it in accordance with the wiring diagram. Before installing the battery in IVEP, it is necessary to connect the blue terminal to the negative terminal, and the red terminal to the positive terminal of the battery. When the IVEP is turned off for a long time (more than 1-2 days) with the 220 V supply voltage removed, it is advisable to disconnect the battery by removing the terminal from its "+" contact to prevent deep battery discharge.

Preparation for work SAIL-4
- Check the correct installation.
- Apply mains voltage.
- Turn the "12V" switch to the "ON" position.
- Check that both LEDs are lit steadily.
- Make sure that the voltage on the load corresponds to the passport data.
- Turn off the mains voltage and make sure that the IVEP has switched to backup power (the “Network” indicator has gone out, the “Output 12V” indicator continues to burn).
- Close the housing cover and seal it.
- Apply mains voltage.

Safety Instructions
When installing and operating PARUS-4, it is necessary to be guided by the "Rules for the technical operation of consumer electrical installations" and "Safety regulations for the operation of consumer electrical installations". It should be remembered that in working condition, life-threatening voltages from the mains are supplied to the IVEP. Install, remove and repair IVEP with the power off. It is forbidden to close the ventilation openings of the IVEP. It is forbidden to transport the IVEP with the battery installed in it.
Attention! Before commissioning PARUS-4 and after each repair, it is necessary to check the integrity and compliance with the rating of the fuse FU1-0.5A. Do not use fuses other than those specified in the documentation.
