Which countries do not require a passport

Usually you want to spend your vacation somewhere abroad - to visit acquaintances and friends living in other countries. see local attractions and enjoy a climate different from that which prevails in our country. However, when crossing the border, you have to attend to the execution of additional documents.

However, Russia has concluded a special agreement with some countries of the near abroad, according to which it is not necessary to issue a passport and a visa to visit these countries. This greatly simplifies the journey and saves money for a person who decides to visit another country.

The very name of the document speaks of its purpose - it is an identity card when a citizen visits territories outside the borders of the country in which he lives. Unlike the internal passport of the country, which is necessary for identification, is a symbol of the maturity of a citizen and his ability to take responsibility for himself, perform various operations, draw up a number of other documents, and also gives the citizen a number of rights and the possibility of their implementation, the international passport is intended to serve as a document confirming the identity and citizenship of a person when he visits territories located outside the borders of the country of which he is a native.

However, the Russian Federation has agreements with some countries, travel to which does not require the issuance of this document, which means that a visa will not be needed either, which will greatly simplify the procedure for traveling and preparing a package of documents for it, as well as save time and money. Registration of a passport and a visa are not free procedures, in addition, both documents have a limited validity period, after which the owner of the documents will have to re-invest their funds.

What are the passports

At the moment, this document has two varieties - old and new samples. It is worth understanding what is the difference between them.

Passport of the old sample

Such a document has less functionality, and, as a rule, is issued by those citizens who do not plan numerous trips. The fact is that the validity of such a passport is only 5 years, but registration is cheaper, it also has the advantage that minor children can be included in such a passport, which makes it easier for children to travel abroad to those countries where there is no need to have visa.

Passport of a new sample

This variety is valid for 10 years, of course, its registration costs a little more, but the difference is not so significant.

The peculiarity of such a passport is that it is biometric - then the following data about its owner is entered on a special page:

  • Index finger prints from both the right and left hands;
  • Drawing from the iris of the eye and some others.

The fact that the document has such data simplifies the procedure for passing through customs control.

Which countries do not need a visa

There are two types of countries to which a citizen of the Russian Federation can travel without a visa.

The first category includes those whose legislation, by agreement with our country, does not require either a visa or a foreign passport, that is, entry there is carried out upon presentation of only an internal passport. To the second - those for which you need a passport, but do not need a visa.

Countries where you can travel with an internal passport

To visit a number of countries, it is enough for a citizen of the Russian Federation to present only an identity document at the border - that is, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Abkhazia

The Republic of Abkhazia may be interesting to visit for tourism purposes, because the climate of this area is very attractive, and the landscapes deserve special attention. In this area you can relax on the sea, and visit the mountains, as well as admire nature.

Without issuing a visa and international passport for tourist purposes on the territory of the Republic of Abkhazia, a resident of Russia can stay for 3 months, after this period the person will have to return home or contact the embassy and extend the period of stay.

Belarus

The Republic of Belarus for various reasons is not considered by many people as a place to visit for tourism purposes, most likely, for the most part this is due to the fact that not many people know about all the sights of this region.

When crossing the border by plane or other transport, it will be necessary to present an internal passport, if we are talking about a railway border crossing, then there is no customs control at all. But if the trip is made by private car, then it is better to have a package of documents with you, which includes:

  • A document certifying the right to drive transport;
  • Internal passport of the country;
  • A document confirming that the car belongs to the person driving or the insurance policy in which it is entered;
  • Green map.

Kazakhstan

When visiting this country, only an internal passport is also required, and children under the age of 14 must have a birth certificate with them. Such a visit can last up to 3 months, after which it is necessary to issue additional documents or go home.

It is probably not necessary to talk about why it is worth visiting Kazakhstan, this country is rich in natural beautiful landscapes and pleasantly pleases tourists with its warm climate.

Kyrgyzstan

To travel to Kyrgyzstan, there is also no need to issue a passport and a visa, however, you must have a migration card; for a period of stay not exceeding 30 days, you do not need to register with the migration services, otherwise you must contact these authorities for registration.
