Is there a time difference between Belarus and Poland?
Despite the fact that Belarus and Poland are neighbors, they are located in different time zones, and accordingly, the time in the countries is different. It would seem that everything is simple: different time zones, but neighboring ones, which means the time should differ by an hour. But everything is not so simple. Indeed, in the summer, the time in Belarus and Poland differs by 1 hour. But in winter, the difference lengthens by another hour, so it turns out that in winter, time in Warsaw is 2 hours different from Minsk. How does this happen?
Here we need to go back to 2011 and remember that it was at this time that the Belarusian authorities decided not to move the clock hands in accordance with seasonality. It is since 2011 that the residents of Belarus have constantly lived according to summer time, from which we have not returned since 2011. Together with Belarus, the Moscow authorities also made the same decision, so now throughout the year there is no time difference between the Russian and Belarusian capitals (Moscow remained on winter time - hence the lack of difference).
Now let's return to the question of Poland. Since Belarus has remained on summer time forever, the time difference with Poland in the summer is therefore 1 hour. In winter, the Polish Republic moves the clock hands back 1 hour, and therefore the time difference with Belarus increases to 2 hours.

When do the clocks change in Poland?

Therefore, we agreed to change the clocks to summer time on the last Sunday in March, and to winter time on the last Sunday in October.
The nearest crossing will be for winter time, the clock hands will be moved back an hour. This will happen October 28, 2018. For summer time the hands will be moved forward an hour March 31, 2019.
