Skiing in winter is a sport that gives a lot of positive emotions. How to ride downhill in winter with pleasure and without consequences

Are there those among you who do not like to ride downhill in the dead of winter? I think that there are very few of them, especially among those who have small children in the house. By the way, active pastime on fresh air - great way strengthen your health, increase immunity and recharge your batteries for the whole day. And for children, skiing is a useful activity, because this process develops ingenuity, fine motor skills, dexterity, self-confidence and the ability to set new tasks that need to be completed. And riding downhill improves the work of the cardiovascular system and warns against problems associated with the joints. In addition, this activity strengthens the respiratory system and increases overall muscle tone.

True, sledding and ice skating has several pitfalls that are important to remember, otherwise health problems cannot be avoided. So, before arrival it is necessary to carry out a small warm-up and warm-up. We should not forget about food. It is recommended to eat food a couple of hours before the expected arrival. It is also necessary to remember about fluid replenishment, this aspect is important for all sports. By the way, for those who want to lose weight, sledding is one of the most effective ways to eliminate body fat.

About Us. Not far from our house, more precisely for a kilometer (and you have to go through the forest), there is a tall hill. When you roll, it blows - mother do not worry! Snow gets into the mouth and nose, but this in no way affects the mood, I want to conquer the mountain again and again. How many ice cubes winter period we broke - do not count. But how much joy and happiness. You fly like a bird + adrenaline!!! Even a dreary climb uphill gives positive emotions, and a good warm-up for the legs is very important for me personally!

And a little about skates. In my youth, I was fond of skating, especially when I studied at the first institute. Not far from the hostel where I lived, there was a huge skating rink, and students were offered big discounts on skate rentals. The first time I got on skates and felt like a cow on ice, I fell all the time, and two hours later I was flying all over the stadium. I went every day - unquestioningly, often alone. Now my legs do not allow me to put on skates again, but I would do it with great pleasure. I'll try it this winter, maybe everything will work out.

But daughter Jeanne asked for new skates last year. New Year, I was sure that she would go to the rink a couple of times and give up this activity. How wrong I was! She walked every day, and the bitter frosts did not interfere with her. I watched the child with pleasure, encouraged her. And I realized one thing - in the future my child will definitely be associated with sports, what it will be, I don’t know yet! But I'm sure! What winter sports do you prefer?

Here comes the winter. The cities were covered with snow, it’s really frosty outside, I don’t want to show my nose once again ... A European, an American, an African, or anyone else would think so, but Russians are not afraid of any frost! On the contrary, I want to walk, throw snowballs, skate and sled. Good and new year holidays on the nose, it remains only to choose a place where to go with the whole honest company. Only ... but where? In summer, such a question does not even arise, in Moscow there are many amusement parks and attractions - choose any. But with the onset of cold weather, many attractions fall into "hibernation". Nevertheless, the parks are not closed, but, one might say, they are being reclassified into a real kingdom of snow and ice. Moreover, new specialized areas are also appearing where you can go skating, snow tubing, snowskate, snow scooter, snowmobiles, etc. We will not talk about skating rinks here, our special one is dedicated to this. But about the rest in order.

Snowtubing is a fascinating and unforgettable descent along the hills of small steepness. It is practiced on special inflatable attractions made of nylon fabric - cheesecakes. They have built-in handles to help you hold on, and inside there are several inflatable elements. Similar devices were used by our ancestors, only the design changed.

Which slide would be ideal? The bottom of the cheesecake is very slippery, so it can easily reach speeds of up to 90 km / h. With this in mind, such a slope is selected so that it does not exceed a steepness of 20 degrees. The vehicle is controlled only by tilting the body, so it is very difficult to control the descent process. Remember that the tube is not equipped with brakes, which means that there must be plenty of room at the end of the slide for safe braking. The skiing area itself should be well visible and not have obstacles on the track such as trees, cobblestones, sharp and protruding objects.

To create a safe and comfortable ride, the slope is usually equipped with a special tubing track. It is designed in the form of a chute with small springboards, which gives the feeling a lot of sharpness. But on the tracks for small children there should not be jumps, as this can injure the kids. Any tracks are equipped with special lifts.

You do not need any skills or training to ride the slides. But do not forget about elementary caution. Here are some tips:

Small children should ride under the supervision of their parents from small gentle snow slides and it is better to choose places that are not crowded.

Such attractions for riding are convenient because they are light in weight, but this can lead to overturning during the descent - be careful, it is advisable to wear protection (knee pads, elbow pads).

Slides- This is an inclined surface of natural or artificial origin. The sizes of mountains and slides for skiing are very diverse: from a slide on a playground 2 meters long, to mountains of relief terrain with tracks for sleds and snow scooters and ski lifts (skiers ride there). You need to choose a place for skiing from the mountain, depending on the age and degree of preparation. And the slides are ice and snow. The snow slide is softer, you can roll down it more carefully. The ice slide is fast and hard, it accelerates the skater so much that just hold on!

2 step

What to ride from the hills? Vehicles for skiing from the mountains are very diverse. Sled(they are sleds) ice cubes all kinds of shapes and sizes, tubing, inflatable cheesecakes or bagels, snow scooters and various improvised means that can be used for skiing (for this category they use cardboard, linoleum, durable cellophane, plywood, etc.). The most desperate roll right on their feet or on the fifth point.

3 step

And it is also very important to prepare for skiing from the mountain. Choose slides that do not slope onto the road or street where cars drive. The track you will be rolling on must not be blocked by trees, bushes, street lighting poles or fences, otherwise, if you collide with them, you can fly out of the saddle and get injured.

4 step

Make sure your snowmobile is in good condition, manageable and comfortable, and that there are no parts sticking out of it that could catch on the road during the descent. For reference: ice rinks and tubings are the most uncontrollable means for skiing, and therefore the most traumatic.
Yes, and it’s worth dressing up in a sporty way if you decide to ride properly: shoes without heels, gloves or mittens, ski pants and a hat (it is possible that you will fly away from a snowdrift). If the slides are serious, then you can protect yourself with a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads.

5 step

If you come to a professional slide, you should be instructed on how to use the downhill skiing facility and what kind of track awaits you before being released on the track.
In any case, you need to sit on a sled, ice or tubing like a chair, leaning back, bending your knees, and holding on to the steering wheel or handles. You should not ride lying down, especially head first or jump with a run, a bloody nose will not decorate anyone. In a state of alcoholic intoxication, it is also difficult to control the process; in this state, you should not try the case.

6 step

A little more about the sad: typical injuries when riding downhill are bruises, including those of the head, fractures of the ankle, elbow and wrist joints. Therefore, all the same, consider everything that was said above.

7 step

Well, now you know everything about skiing! By the way, skating became the progenitor of three Olympic sports: bobsleigh, sledding and skeleton.
So how is it with the snow in the yard? If everything is in order, get ready soon, because a fun, exciting and favorite pastime awaits you - skiing! Rosy cheeks, sparkle in the eyes and a great mood are guaranteed!

Winter is in full swing, on the street there is either a snowstorm, or ice, or a thaw, and often - the traditional urban slush. Well, at least manufacturers of children's goods, namely, children's winter transport, are doing their best to make life easier for mothers and to please children. How to choose from this variety? Let's talk about the varieties, advantages, disadvantages and nuances of children's Vehicle for winter.

Sled

What it is - no need to explain. Each of us had a sledge in childhood - classic, on a rope, with metal runners and a wooden seat. Since then, little has changed in the design of the sled, but manufacturers still made some improvements.

Types of sleds:

depending on the materials used in the production
- wooden;
- plastic;
- metal;
- combined;

depending on purpose
- classic sledges;
- sled-carriages;

depending on design
- folding (like strollers);
- whole;
- transformers (the back is removed, the handle-pusher is rearranged, etc.).

There are also "exotic" models - with a trunk (similar to the trunk of a bicycle), a sled for twins, a trough sled (more like an ice rink).

Advantages of the sled:

- ease of use - you can tie a rope, you can use the adjustable pusher handle and change the position of the child according to his preferences, situation and weather conditions- either facing the mother, or facing in the direction of travel;
- the ability to use in changeable weather - most models now have wheels, and the sled is easier to transport on a road that is not covered with snow or ice;
- relative lightness - it depends on the material from which the sled is made, but in general it is not difficult for a mother to carry them in her hands if necessary, since even metal models use light metals and lightweight structures;

Sledge-trough, or sled-ice

Safety - most models of sleds are stable on their own, moreover, they are equipped with backs and sides so that the child does not fall or slip, and more modern ones are also equipped with seat belts; some models are supplemented with reflective elements for better visibility on the road;
- most models are equipped with warm covers, waterproof visors so that the child does not suffer from bad weather; additional convenience is that the covers are removable and can be washed in a washing machine;
- high load capacity (up to 50-60 kg);
- the sled can be used both for transporting a child and for skiing;
- average price - from 600 rubles (plastic, in the form of a trough), from 1500 (classic).

Sledge KHW with folding handle

Sledge Disadvantages:

- quite bulky (many manufacturers are already eliminating this drawback by offering folding models);
- most models of sleds provide that the child sits on them alone (in the previous, a la "Soviet" models from our childhood, if desired, two children could be placed on the sled; the design of modern sleds does not allow this);
- if the child is mobile, active, then he will quickly get bored of sitting quietly in the sled.

Folding wooden sled Gloco Klappschlitten

Nuances:

- age from 3 years (classic models);
- age from 8 months to 4 years ().

exotic

On sale you can find sports for the whole family. They are convenient for moving on snow-covered sidewalks, but are not cheap.

Sports Finnish sled for children and adults

Sunmobiles

This is a kind of sled equipped with a wheeled mechanism - and not just small wheels at the ends of the runners, so that it is easier to cross sections of the road that are not covered with snow, but with a mechanism: the wheels are larger, and you can move your foot (by pressing the foot pedal) to rearrange the sanimobile to chassis, then on the skids.

Advantages of sledmobiles (along with the advantages of classic sleds):

- maximum cross-country ability (sanimobile is easy to roll around the store or supermarket, like a stroller);
- high reliability (strong metal frame, resistance to deformation, wheels - according to manufacturers - a reduced version of industrial chassis);
- high load capacity (up to 70 kg).

Flaws:

- high price- from 2500 rubles.

Ledyanki

Children used to ride slides on pieces of linoleum, plastic sheets, cardboard boxes and even briefcases. Winter transport manufacturers have come up with more durable, convenient and practical devices - ice rinks. These are slides that are controlled by the body: when the child changes the inclination and position of the body, he turns or reduces the speed of the ride.

Ice types:

- tablets with a handle in front;
- tablets with two handles on the sides;
- ice cubes for two;
- plates with low sides;
- ride seats (pillows made of durable, well-gliding PVC materials with soft filler inside, provide good gliding and good shock absorption, unlike other ice models).

Soft ice board

Advantages of ice cubes:

- lightness and in the case of some models - compactness; they can be taken with you anywhere, and it is not difficult for a child to carry them on their own;
- low price- from 100 rubles.

Disadvantages of ice cubes:

- it takes experience and time to learn how to safely operate the ice-boats;
- glaciers are able to develop great speed, but in most models there are no safety devices (however, some manufacturers improve their ice rinks by supplementing them with hand brakes);
- you can only ride on ice slides, they are not adapted and not suitable for transporting children around the city.

The simplest plastic ice cubes

Cheesecakes, tubings

By purpose and design, they can be called a kind of ice cubes - these are tablets of different diameters filled with air.

Types of cheesecakes:

- single;
- double (duets);
- triple (trio).

Two-seat tubing for downhill skiing

Advantages of cheesecakes:

- they can be used not only for descent from the slides, but also in the summer while swimming, like air mattresses;
- according to manufacturers, cheesecakes are suitable for any age, but in fact it depends on the child and his character (shy children are unlikely to like cheesecakes); some manufacturers carefully indicate the "threshold" age - from 5-6 years;
- light weight, compactness during storage (when deflated, they take up little space);
- high load capacity (up to 150 kg) - an adult can also use the cheesecake;
- average price - from 900 rubles.

Disadvantages of cheesecakes:

- Cheesecakes are not suitable for transporting children around the city;
- easily fail if they get a hole (therefore, manufacturers advise using them on smooth slides, without natural obstacles).
Nuances:
- for operation of cheesecakes the pump is required;
- it is permissible to use cheesecakes on smooth, safe descents, as they quickly pick up speed and are not very controllable.

snow scooters

The main difference between snow scooters and sleds is autonomous control due to the presence of a steering wheel. The child can change direction on his own. This is especially convenient when descending from the hills, for which snow scooters are designed.

Types of snow scooters:

- single;
- double.

Advantages of snowmobiles:

- convenience for the child due to the presence of a soft seat, depreciation, steering and even brakes;
- simplicity in management - any child quickly masters rotary and brake mechanisms;
- safety - snow scooters are very stable, some models are equipped with backs and seat belts, as well as brakes, a rotation angle limiter, which reduces the risk of the snow scooter turning over, anti-slip strips on the seat so that the child does not slip off during maneuvers;
- snow scooters can be used both for transporting a child around the city (if you tie a rope to the steering wheel, which, however, is not very convenient), and for riding down hills;
- high load capacity (60-100kg);
- average price - from 1500 rubles.

Disadvantages of snowmobiles:

- bulkiness (folding models have not yet been invented);
- relatively large weight;
- most models provide that the child sits on the snow scooter alone.

The nuances of snowmobiles:

- age from 3 years (with backrests);
- age from 4-5 years (without backrests).

Manufacturers of children's goods have come up with a new way to conquer slides and snowy slopes - this is still unusual, but quite logical: a scooter with short skid skis instead of wheels.

Advantages of snow scooters:

- ease of carrying;
- high speed and rather high maneuverability on descents;
- easier to master than a wheeled scooter, since the wide ski provides stability;
- teaches the child to keep balance, develops the vestibular apparatus. Manufacturers claim that riding a snow scooter even lays the foundation for the further development of a snowboard by a child;
- compact - takes up little space in the "working" state, besides, it folds;
- average price - from 1000 rubles.

Disadvantages of snow scooters:

- not suitable for small children who do not yet have sufficient coordination of movements;
- the child will need to practice and get their share of falls before this type of winter transport is mastered and safe;
- suitable only for descent from the slides, and not suitable for transporting a child around the city.

Nuances of snow scooters:

- the age of the child is from 5-7 years (depending on the design, size and manufacturer's recommendations);
- slides must have a flat surface.

Snowmobiles

This is an "exotic" model, in urban conditions it is almost never found and is not appropriate. In fact, this is a motorcycle on skids, designed to travel through the snowy countryside. Its main advantage is autonomy: you don’t need to pull or push, you just need to refuel. The main drawback is the limited scope and, of course, the high price - from 70,000 rubles.

Cardboard, a piece of plywood, linoleum, or even, if you're lucky, an old car tire. A few years ago, in order to enjoy spending time on a hill, it was necessary to apply a lot of imagination and resourcefulness - in literally words. What you find — on that and ride. Now stores offer a dozen different "gadgets". Just choose.

Sled

In any children's store you will find a million varieties of sledges: wooden, plastic, metal, with and without a back, and even a sled-carriage for kids. Prices, respectively, also vary greatly - from 500 to 5000 rubles.

When choosing a sled, keep in mind that wooden and aluminum sleds, although light, but not very strong, quickly break and bend. Plastic ones are more expensive, but they are more reliable.

Ledyanka

The most primitive rolling device, an alternative to a piece of linoleum from Soviet childhood. However, parents like their low price (from 100 rubles), and children like ease of use: no need to pull heavy sleds uphill. I drove down the hill, grabbed an almost weightless ice cube in my hand, ran upstairs - and you can roll again. There is only one problem - while you are driving, you must try not to beat yourself off both soft and hard.

"Plate"

Upgrading ice, but with its drawbacks. It seems that the design protects better from impacts and unsuccessful landings. And the price is not too high - from 300 rubles. However, the “plate” must be able to control, otherwise it instantly turns 180 degrees, and the child rushes backwards from the mountain, without seeing, of course, the road. Where he crashes - into a soft dad or a hard tree - depends on his personal luck and the quickness of the parent.

"Bean"

The next step in the evolution of icicles. This plastic trough with primitive brakes and a strap in front is easier to control than a “plate”, and it develops much more speed. Sometimes it is equipped with a steering wheel, which, however, does not affect anything except the price - from 1500 to 3000 rubles. As on an ice track, when meeting with springboards, everything fights off, but it’s not scary to fall, not like from a snow scooter.

"Vatrushka" / "Tube"

The favorite slides of last year and this year are not losing ground. Inside the cheesecake there is a chamber inflated with air, on top it is covered with a cover made of some kind of polymer, akin to the very piece of linoleum on which we rode as children. Thanks to this, the “cheesecake” develops a breakneck speed and is absolutely safe, landing after an unexpected meeting with a springboard will be painless. When choosing a cheesecake, pay attention to its carrying capacity, suddenly dad also wants to remember his youth and show how to ride downhill. How more load capacity, the more expensive the cheesecake - from 1000 to 3000 rubles, but it is entertainment for the whole family.

Snow scooter

A real steering wheel, which means simplicity and ease of use, distinguishes a snow scooter from all other types of sleds. The price, respectively, is quite high: from 3000 to 8000 rubles. The more expensive the model, the more all sorts of bells and whistles: from an automatically retracting towing cable to a vibration damper that reduces vibration (such things are in cars, drilling rigs and other complex mechanisms).
