The exhibition occupies only a few rooms, but you can look at the exhibits for several hours: pretty lampshades, funny paintings, a huge stove and antique utensils.

The museum hosts several excursions or master classes - you can stick bagels, decorate gingerbread cookies, cook Guryev porridge and fashion sugar flowers. At the end of the lesson, they arrange a tea party, at which all the works of the lesson are eaten with pleasure.

The museum has a shop. Prepare money: it is impossible to leave without a package of Ivan-tea, gingerbread or marshmallow prepared according to old recipes.

Trinity Sergius Lavra

The Trinity-Sergius Lavra needs no introduction: this is one of the main Orthodox shrines in Russia, which is under the protection of UNESCO. Yes, and it is useless to describe its sights: thick guidebooks are dedicated to them. You just need to remember that the long queue lined up at the Holy Trinity Cathedral stands at the relics of Sergius of Radonezh, and you can try to bypass it if you don’t need to see the relics, but just want to see the cathedral. Around the monastery there are cafes for every taste and budget, the train from the Yaroslavl station comes almost to the city center, so coming here for half a day will not be any problem. What to see with a child in Moscow in one day

If there is only one day to visit Moscow, you should not try to see all the main sights of the capital in that day. All the same, this will not work, and in return you will get only fatigue and not the most pleasant emotions. It is better to focus on one route, do not forget to take lunch.

If this is your first time in Moscow, head to Red Square. This is one of the main places and the main attraction, where you should definitely go with a child in Moscow. Show your child what the Kremlin towers, St. Basil's Cathedral and the famous dovetailed Kremlin wall look like.

From there you will get to GUM, the nearest entrance to it is on Red Square. If you have enough energy, visit the Central Children's Museum, you can walk to it on foot or take the metro, or walk along Tverskaya and Stary Arbat streets.

If you know the center of Moscow well, then plan for this day something that you have not seen yet, but would like to see. It is important that these attractions are close to each other. The road in a crowded subway with children in Moscow or standing in traffic jams takes a lot of time and effort. Consider this.

We wish you pleasant walks around the sights of Moscow with children!

Theater

When the opportunity arose to get back to the Moscow Art Theater. Gorkova, then of course I immediately took advantage of it. Moreover, Alexander Ostrovsky, a classic (dir. V.M. Beilis). What is even more remarkable, the eldest son will soon analyze this work in literature lessons. So the stars were formed in such a way that we just had to go to the performance. By the way, although the qualification for the performance is 12+, I saw children and younger ones. However, I want to note that my 11-year-old son, although he was delighted with the performance, with the colorful scenery, with the acting, still did not catch all the moments of the work. I still think it's due to age. Indeed, some moments you begin to notice and notice with age.
I have already visited this theater, but my son was interested. We had seats in the middle of the mezzanine, so we went up to the 3rd floor in an elevator with an elevator operator. This was new to both me and my son. You know, the spirit of creativity and theater is felt. And here we are in the room. To be honest, I have not yet watched the performance from the mezzanine: the view is mesmerizing, and the view from above is wider.
The acting in this theatre, as always, is on top. Everything was so lively and interesting that you forgot where you were and together with them found yourself in Moscow during the reforms of Alexander II (1860-70). Among other things, I want to note the scenery and costumes of the actors. Chic toilets of noble ladies, interior items, clothes of gentlemen and servants. All this takes you back to the past.
I won't describe the show itself. A classic is a classic. The main character - Yegor Dmitrich Glumov, performed by Alexander Khatnikov, is very natural. An intelligent young man who, by hook or by crook, is trying to break out "in the light" and break through in life, but not on his own, but with the help of distant relatives.
It seems to me that such works are eternal. Look, 100 years have passed, and if you look at today's youth (although I can also be attributed to this category due to my age), they also try to “successfully settle down” in life not with the help of their abilities and strengths, but thanks to “correct” acquaintances and successful marriage/marriage. Nothing changed. At the same time, all those thanks to whom you can get higher and better feel like benefactors and all also indulge in such behavior. It should be noted that Ostrovsky's play is still not as simple as it might seem at first glance. And to find out what's the matter, I advise you to visit this theater and go to this performance.

Theater

The youngest musical theater in the capital.

Ridiculous, funny, reckless, crazy, magical.
No sense, no use, no harmony, out of place, ABSOLUTELY.

With these words from The Ordinary Miracle, it is best to describe what happened at the Novaya Opera Theater on March 8. Because I simply don’t have my own words - this is EXACTLY COMPLETE, you can’t say otherwise. (Although, of course, about "out of tune, out of tune" - this is not true, at the Novaya Opera everything is always in order). But these are the lines that come to my mind when I think about this concert.

In general, I have a complicated relationship with classical music and opera. I can’t say in any way that I am her ardent admirer, and I met her not even in childhood, but at the quite mature age of 22, and only thanks to my future (at that time) husband. (No, before that, of course, they tried to introduce me to music, but on a voluntary-compulsory basis (by obligatory purchase of subscriptions to the Philharmonic through the school), and this introduction was absolutely not in the horse's fodder). So understanding came later. And then it somehow happened that I started going to the opera (probably because the tickets there are cheaper than the ballet :), and I liked it. And last year, thanks to the wonderful moscultura community (it really is a community that brings culture), I discovered concerts at the Novaya Opera Theater. And I just don't have words for how amazing they are!
So, on March 8, a concert dedicated, of course, to beautiful ladies took place. Theater soloists and an amazing orchestra (I just adore it since the concert in honor of Dobronravov’s anniversary!) performed for us arias from operas and operettas dedicated to women and love (and, perhaps, just arias loved by women, because Figaro’s aria doesn’t seem to about love :)), as well as wonderful excerpts from ballets " Swan Lake"and" Spartak ". There was only music (only hardcore :)))))), singers dressed in formal suits and an orchestra conducted by Valery Kritskov. But it really was wonderful :)
Khachatur Badalyan, Andrzej Beletsky, Artyom Golubev, Vitaly Efanov, Alexander Popov sang for us. And I don't know what to complain about in their performance :) That's enough difficult task: to sing an opera aria without costumes and scenery, without context and other characters so that an inexperienced spectator like me hears it and imbues it.

As for my personal preferences, I found that I definitely like foreign opera, especially, of course, Italian. But I don't like Tchaikovsky's opera. And not only that, I don't like the music, as, say, the words of the novel "Eugene Onegin" fall on this music. (There are no complaints about the performance! :) But "Swan Lake" is always beautiful, even with ballet, even without it - it just gives you goosebumps. And Khachaturian's "Spartak" is magnificent, I would very much like to see it live!
