How to fish in September Fishing in September Fishing secrets. Nozzle and bait in autumn

Spinning fishing in September in central Russia

Autumn, and especially its beginning, is considered to be perhaps the best time for spinning fish. Many predators feel the need to fatten up for the winter and therefore actively feed. Moreover, the autumn "zhor" is observed on a variety of reservoirs - large and small, flowing and closed.

Features of autumn spinning

With the onset of autumn, the spinning player has to rebuild in a certain way. The behavior of predators is changing, and the most catchy are no longer those baits that brought good luck in the summer, but often quite different ones. Why is this happening?

While the water temperature is still within the optimal limits, there is a pronounced autumn “zhor” of pike, perch and zander. Fish at this time takes not only at depth, but also in relative shallow water, and sometimes even on the surface itself. With a good bite, the choice of bait does not play a decisive role, but the general rule is the same - active and relatively large options are more catchy. For example, the spinner is still one of the best baits - however, with the departure of the fish to the bottom, its "big-headed" models are increasingly used. Silver colors become the main ones - at depth and in gray weather, this is just what you need. Moreover, autumn predators increasingly prefer larger sizes of spinners. For pike, “oscillators” work better and better.

For schooling predators, the main orientation is on the mass underyearling. Therefore, the “flock” combinations and its variants are now out of competition.

But after two or three weeks, the autumn “zhor” ends, and with further cooling, predators (as well as their potential prey) become much “lazier”.

The fish is a cold-blooded creature, and with the rapid cooling of the water, the style of its movement becomes economical and cautious, a little reminiscent of the fussy crush of fry in warm summer shallow water. And the small fry itself has grown noticeably - perch-year-olds already reach 5-7 cm by autumn, and squints - 10-15 cm. All this makes significant adjustments to the tactics of catching predators.

Larger and slower-playing baits become favorites for fish: spoons and wobblers, twisters and vibrotails, foam rubber fish and tackle. Of the "turntables", enlarged models with load-heads are still used, but their time is gradually passing - noisy rotation no longer excites predators. We can safely say that in the fall of two lures of the same size, the model with a lower petal rotation frequency will be more catchy.

Having sank to the bottom, the fry learns to feed and hide there. Therefore, spinningists have to use stepped bottom wiring more and more often. The first "signal" is given by big-headed "turntables" - uniform wiring stops working, but the fish are tempted for some time by the fall of the bait or "striking" along the bottom. But when the special methods "dry out" - it remains to unconditionally switch to all kinds of jigs.

There comes a golden time for fishing on the "rubber". Twisters and vibrotails have recently appeared in the arsenal of our spinningists, but they have already managed to “conquer” all of Russia. The catchiness of these baits is undeniable. But, as they say, there are options. At first, predators still actively take jigs on the classic "step". But the closer to winter, the more often you have to use special tricks: short steps, dragging, delays. And with the most passive biting, only foam rubber often helps out.

Few people now use tackle for fishing with spinning - it's too much fuss. But still, do not forget about this option. In autumn, the catchability of tackle when catching large pike and zander is sometimes not just amazing, but generally the only possible one.

Speaking of different lures, we do not forget about the new tactics of fishing. Autumn predators concentrate on deeper places, and fishing becomes more “attached”: this is a thorough fishing of known holes and edges - up to stationary fishing and long-term “extortion” of fish at a promising “point”.

When fishing from the shore, you have to choose places where you can reach deep areas - but more and more often it happens that we cannot do without a boat, especially on large reservoirs.

Pike in shallow still waters

While the weather is warm, pike is actively caught in ponds and lakes. At the beginning of the month, “turntables” and spinnerbaits still work on the “toothy”, but still the best baits of September are the “wobbler” and the wobbler, as a rule, from medium size and above.

However, in many shallow water bodies, pike feed on underyearlings much more often than in “large” water. This fact is easily established by gutting the fish. Therefore, baits here are usually used in small sizes.

The best period for fishing on shallow ponds and lakes is a quiet and warm "Indian summer". While the predator is actively chasing the fry on the surface of the water, a popper, a walker or a low-burrowing wobbler, as well as a “turntable” with a central load, give excellent results. But the “toothy” will not refuse the “oscillator” or twister on a light jig head either. Pike can intermittently take the whole day - but in the morning and evening the bite is noticeably more active, and the fish comes across larger. It is this period for most local anglers - the most productive.

But all good things come to an end. So the "Indian summer" has passed - a cold snap is coming, and the predator as a whole is biting worse and worse. As my practice shows, with a decrease in water temperature to 10 ° C, the pike ceases to “recognize” surface baits - poppers and walkers. And after another week or two, “turntables” and spinnerbaits get into the “black” list.

The best options are "oscillators", wobblers and light jigs. Moreover, they will subsequently have to apply special techniques. For oscillating spinners, this is intermittent wiring, for wobblers-suspenders - jerks and periodic stops, for jigs - various options for "steps".

But "there is no evil without good." It turns out that the cold snap has its advantages. In various quarries, the water is finally completely cleared of duckweed, bottom "bubbles" and other dirt. And in the "toads" plus solid algae begin to lodge. Needless to say, the pike, which had previously been here in a semi-passive state, begins to feed intensively and peck well. Moreover, sometimes it seems that the “toothy” is no longer waiting in ambush, but is actively looking for prey throughout the reservoir and often comes across “three tails from a place”. So, after the "Indian summer" it is again worth checking the "toads" and shallow quarries for biting.

Do not forget to look again at the "budding" puddles, especially heavily overgrown with grass and mud. Now the algae have "settled", and the high sedge along the banks has perished. When hunting for duck, I constantly have to check such places, and quite often I manage to catch a couple of “belated” pikes here. And once a half-kilogram crucian carp even got caught on an average wobbler - and from the third bite! Hunger is not an aunt!

But sooner or later, the pike also begins to "act up." Here she accompanies the bait, sometimes even "knocks" on it - but all to no avail. True, this usually happens already in October, so we will return to this issue in the next chapter.

Compared to the August “schedule”, in September there are clear changes: the bite is increasingly shifting from early morning hours to later times, and the fish are caught larger. That is, it is no longer necessary to get up a little bit for fishing and wait “all the way” in the evenings. On the contrary, in warm gray weather, fish are well caught all daylight hours. But still, in general, September predators prefer the morning and evening hours.

On small deep rivers

One of the most interesting autumn places are small and relatively deep rivers with a quiet or medium course. As a rule, if their average depth is 2-3 m, this is already enough for some little things to remain for the winter. This means that large predators can stay here all autumn and go to the “big” only with freezing. But there are especially many fry in such rivers - and, accordingly, perch. And if there is a lot of perch, it means that the pike is always present.

The most interesting are the forest areas of deep rivers, where the channel winds heavily, and there are many fallen trees along the banks. In such places it is almost always quiet, so a trifle likes to stay here - which means pike and perch too. These predators will be our main target.

While it is still warm, the "greens" are well caught on a small spinner with a head load or with a separate sinker. The wiring is either uniform, or, in the absence of bites, with periodic stops and “striking” of the bait along the bottom. A light twister on the lure's threesome helps a good bite. Moreover, after catching a perch, it is necessary to check the bite area several times more - the “striped” rarely hunts alone. Here is another one!

The most interesting thing is that along with the “green” ones, “white” predators are not so rare here - ide, chub, asp.

But with further cooling (usually in late September - early October), the "turntable" simply stops working. Now perch can only be caught on a jig or on a wobbler, and pike can also be caught on a “swing”. However, the most versatile and most effective bait can now without hesitation be considered a medium-sized twister or vibrotail.

I usually go to forest rivers in strong winds, when it’s uncomfortable on open water: “pipe”, waves, and the bite is weak. And on the shores protected by forests - peace and quiet. There is nothing more pleasant than in such weather to walk with a spinning rod along a beautiful river. Its width is small, and the underwater relief here is easily “read” - there is a hole, there is a spit, there is a rift, there is a stream, there is a long-fallen tree. You go with a jig tackle of medium power and slowly drag perch and pike. Beauty!

As a rule, in September river perch hunts in small flocks. It happens that 3-5 “striped” ones follow the bait at once. In this case, it makes sense to put a combination instead of a single bait. The initial and usually best option is the main lure (lure or jig) at the end of the line and two leaders with white "wabs" or twisters.

If a pike “gets out” or gets caught in some area, you can quickly redirect to the “toothy”. To do this, it is enough to change the bait to a larger "rubber", "oscillator" or a wobbler. As a rule, pike prefers larger prey in September and will immediately appreciate our care.

It happens, however, that in September the “green” predators for some reason are “naughty”. In this case, a wobbler almost always helps out. It is believed that the autumn models of this bait should have an elongated shape and be "flaccid". In my opinion, this rule is valid for pike, but for autumn perch it is only half true. In fact, the “striped” no less actively grabs both the briskly playing “fatties” and the vibrating “rattlins”. Moreover, both pike and perch in suitable places are taken on wobblers until the freeze-up, which we will talk about later.

The only “but” is that you don’t want to lose these expensive baits when hooked. There is only one global way out - to use a strong braided line and unbent tees. In extreme cases, the hooks have to be annealed - but it's better to lose a kilogram pike than a catchy wobbler.

Naturally, in the autumn season on any reservoirs, the main attention should be paid to large and medium depths. But usually forest rivers have either steep or overgrown banks, which are very inconvenient to wade through to the right place. However, in September, in many areas along the coast, there is still a strip of land - otherwise only a boat will help us out.

On reservoirs

September fishing in reservoirs largely depends on the current level and temperature of the water, and to a large extent - on the wind. And of course, the size of the reservoir.

Always and everywhere the first question for any spinning player is where the fish is kept? And here in each case there are nuances. In those reservoirs where the level is reduced to freeze-up, as well as in all reservoirs in which the water has dropped significantly over the summer due to drought, large fish usually roll downstream. On unregulated reservoirs, a similar picture is “big fish”, and especially fish prone to migration also migrate to the lower reaches. So, that is where our path lies in the first place.

Consider first small reservoirs. The general picture of the bite here is something like this.

While it is warm, the sun has time to warm up the upper layers of water and relative shallow water. As a result, the perch is still quite actively hunting for fry near the surface - however, in September, "boilers" are formed less and less and only in calm weather (or in areas closed from the wind). "Striped" during the "fight" recognizes poppers, medium-sized wobblers, turntables and mini-jigs.

Small pike still continue to feed along coastal algae or in shallow snags. One of the best baits here is the popper, but again only in calm weather. The rest of the time, the "toothy" is also not capricious and takes almost all the baits that can be held at an even pace over the algae and in the bays.

During the "Indian summer", along with pike and perch, zander is increasingly caught - it seems that this is the last massive burst of biting at the "fanged" before winter.

Moreover, while it is warm, predators still prefer to peck at dawn, with the exception of perch and small pike.

There are very dry years, when the water level drops very much over the summer. In such cases, all large fish roll into the channel, from where, for example, pike periodically raids shallow snags and grassy areas, where the water is only half a meter to a meter. There, the "toothy" is successfully caught on poppers, which it prefers to all other baits. If there are no suitable shallow waters nearby, then the pike, like other predators, hunts in the riverbed.

A characteristic moment: usually in the warm period of September, all the so-called “bottom mud” and small algae float to the surface of the water - a sure sign that in a week or two the water will be completely cleared and clarified. But then the heat will also go away.

With the end of the "Indian summer" and further cooling, all the fish descend to decent depths (3-8 m) and switch to a secretive lifestyle. Already, even in calm weather, a trifle does not “ripple”, a perch does not “beat”, and the pike also does not please us with its “turns” on the surface.

The iconic moment of the end of September - spinning fishing almost completely goes into depth. However, even with a cold snap, the coast is still working for some time. Indeed, during the day, shallow waters warm up faster, and “green” predators constantly make hunting raids here.

Therefore, the main September prey of spinners on small reservoirs is perch and pike.

The medium perch is especially active. It has already “bored” and is well caught, and mostly “dimensional” specimens of 200-300 g are caught.

The flocking "striped" in September prefers to stay on snarled dumps with large differences in depths (from 3-4 m to 5-6 m) and on nearby irrigation. You should always check various underwater heights, and even flat but hard bottom areas. Some of the most tempting places on lakes and reservoirs are rocky spits and ridges. As a rule, hard bottom areas in any reservoir attract not only perch, but also pike and zander - and all this fish is perfectly caught on a jig.

Along with "rubber" and foam rubber, the September perch also recognizes other baits - medium-sized "turntables" with a heavy head and tail spinners. And when catching a schooling "striped" combinations work great. Here the best option would be the end jig and above two leashes with "wabiks". In heavily crooked places, a “marine” rig with an end sinker and three or four leashes with flies is preferable.

Along with the perch, the pike actively takes, and in the morning and evening it is usually at a depth, and in the afternoon - aground. That is, now the average "toothy" can be caught almost all day. Beauty!

Large pike in September usually concentrates in deep (3-9 m) snags on the channel or near it, and from these local "points" it is very well caught. It is here and now that experienced spinningists have record catches and trophy specimens. Other characteristic pike places are pronounced edges and especially steep slopes.

During the day, it is worth checking the promising shallow waters - pike often come out to hunt on the sun-warmed water. Sometimes you can even see how the “toothy” drives a trifle next to grass or snags. The best baits in such conditions are a popper, a walker or a light "scrambler".

One more moment. Autumn weather is erratic and prolonged strong winds in September are not uncommon. As a rule, weather disasters clearly affect the behavior of fish and, ultimately, the result of fishing. Therefore, during periods of seasonal transitions, our success depends not only on the correct choice of the object of hunting and the type of reservoir, but often on such factors as the shelter of the water area from the prevailing winds and the indentation of the coastline.

The fact is that a trifle always tries to choose relatively quiet areas for their parking, especially in calm bays and behind lee shores. And since forage fish are concentrated here, then predators constantly visit here. Moreover, it is clear that such places work not only in windy, but also in calm weather. So, in September, on a large reservoir, first of all, pay attention to quiet areas that are well protected from the prevailing winds.

And now let's look at the picture of biting already on large Volga reservoirs. Although the fundamental situation here is similar to that observed in other reservoirs.

The main September moments are as follows. While it is warm, surface “boilers” are still observed on large reservoirs, and the average pike hunts in the coastal zone. With cooling and cooling of the water, all the fish sink deeper. Particularly interesting are the places where deep rivers flow into the reservoir, where fines are massively concentrated - a predator here can hunt as much as three "floors".

With the onset of the "Indian summer" perches form mass concentrations and actively chase the fry throughout the water area of the reservoir. "Boilers" are usually "tied" to river mouths, underwater heights, hard bottom areas, crests and steep slopes. But often the “striped ones” pursue migrating schools of sprat, bleak or sabrefish - and here already a “fight” can arise anywhere. The best baits for fishing in large surface pots are a popper, a walker, a shallow water wobbler, a small spinner or a twister. Flock combinations still work great - a castmaster or a light jig together with "vabiks".

I am glad that a large perch is still caught not only at depth, but also on the shallows among the grass, mixed with smaller "sailors". Moreover, usually flocks of "striped" are clearly calibrated in size. Biting time is usually all day long, although this is not without anomalies. The most popular lures are silver MEPPS Aglia Long No. 1.1+.

By the way, along with perch hunting, asp “fight” is also often observed on the reservoir itself, and especially on sandy underwater spits near the islands.

Pike up to 1.5 kg - while it is warm - keeps in grass thickets and in bays at depths of 30 cm. Occasionally, larger specimens also “turn out”. Biting is usually from nine in the morning until the evening. However, it is rarely possible to take a “toothy” more than two kilos in the grass for a small lure, because a large pike is very passive and will not move until “the bait hits its nose”. In this case, it is better to try a large "oscillator", because a "big piece" is always a joy.

But now the “Indian summer” is ending, and the situation on large reservoirs is beginning to change rapidly.

Riding "fight" is still observed in some places in calm weather, but the general trend is obvious - the fish sinks to the depth. The time has come for spinning players to change tactics and switch to deep lures. After all, a schooling perch is caught “under the seagull” far from every day, but it takes it from the bottom all the time, not only on the hillocks, but also under the brows.

True, after the transition of the “striped” to a secretive way of life, its accumulations have to be carefully searched for - but, as a rule, flocks of solid perch (up to half a kilogram in weight) end up at depths of 4-5 m in those places where there is a snag and a hard bottom with relief features .

But even after the “striped” has sank to the depth, he continues to take well on ordinary jigs, and especially on combinations with two or three “wabs”. It should be noted that, having succumbed to the “packing” excitement, even bream, white bream and chub often come across the proposed equipment along with perch. How!

True, prolonged inclement weather can drive the "striped" even deeper - by 6-8 m, almost to the Volga bed, where it gathers in rather large flocks and still actively pecks at jig baits along with other predators.

Pike with water cooling also goes to the depths. Often, in some areas, the “toothy” noticeably concentrates and pecks almost from one place. Usually such catchy “points” are clearly “tied” to sharp bottom drops.

With a cold snap at the end of September, the mouths of deep tributaries become the most "evil" places. Perch has always been here - both at the surface and at depth. And now a large pike comes up from the nearest holes and takes up positions in places where the tributary bed joins the Volga bed. The main mass of pike perch is also concentrated here, but the “fanged” one is noticeably deeper than the pike.

The reasons for the obvious desire of predators to such places are understandable. With the water cooling (and this happens most quickly in tributaries), any white fish begins to winter in a warmer main body of water, where large pikes, pike perches and perches await it.

Thus, in September the "choice" of predators in the estuarine areas is maximum, which sometimes does not even allow spinningists to decide. For example, in calm weather, massively beating perch “prevents” focusing on pike perch and pike. Moreover, “humpbacks” often peck under a kilogram, and even ordinary “sailors” sit on a jig on each cast: from the surface, and from the bottom, and into the water - depending on where the predator is at the moment. It should be noted that in the perch “cauldron” there are gripes of kilogram asps, and under a flock of “striped” ones and from the bottom they take the same pike and pike perch. Such a “three-story” fishing is a song!

True, a spinner in such areas should be ready to quickly change their “orientation” to catching one or another predator, depending on the current weather. As a rule, with an increase in pressure, pike perch and perch peck more actively, and when the barometer “falls” and on cloudy days, a solid “toothy” one from depths of up to 8 meters is best taken. Small pike is caught almost always, but in shallower areas of the reservoir - in the same place where an abundance of perch and medium-sized pike perch was observed.

On major rivers

The main September predators on large rivers are pike, perch and pike perch, in some places there are also asp, ide, chub.

At the same time, the bite of "white" predators clearly falls on warm sunny days, but pike, perch and pike perch are caught more or less evenly throughout the month.

A characteristic feature of September fishing is that large predators are activated, but peck only in deep places. Therefore, long-distance casts are indispensable, and in many areas full-fledged fishing is possible only from a boat.

Small predators still stay in the coastal zone, but with a cold snap they gradually slide into the depths. In the meantime, perch up to 200 g are biting well, which is caught on almost all baits “under the fry”. Keeps "striped" near the coast everywhere, but especially likes underwater "braids" with hard ground. And along the coastal grass, you can always catch a few pikes on a wobbler or "scrambler".

In the first half of September, pike perch usually activate. Moreover, the "rubber" and foam rubber are no longer small "fangs", but more solid specimens up to 2 kg. The best bite is early in the morning.

Following pike perch, pike and perch begin to actively eat off for the winter.

"Striped" is still active, so it bites well on "turntables" - tandems near the coast and on "big-headed" models - from the depths. However, it will take a little time, and the perch will completely switch to "rubber" and foam rubber.

A large “toothy” (from 2 kg) in September stands on deep riverbeds and takes only jig baits with a cast of 50-70 m.

With further cooling (usually at the end of September), the water temperature also drops rapidly. In such a situation, the “toothy” leaves the coastal brows and grassy shallows and stands on deep (at least 5 m) riverbed dumps, where in many places it can only be reached from a boat.

The end of September is the best time for spinning boaters. Rafting along a familiar route, all that remains is to carefully and slowly check all promising deep places, periodically planting another large predator on the kukan. And sometimes even in one hole it is possible to catch pikes, zanders and perches all day long. It is characteristic that fish do not migrate now, and predators can peck at the hole they have chosen for the whole of September and beyond. What if there are several such places?

The owner of the boat can easily check all the deep "points" that are inaccessible from the shore - therefore, the September catches of experienced boaters are sometimes simply amazing.

Another important tactical moment. As a rule, in September the water on large rivers is still quite warm. However, it cools down very quickly, so after the "Indian summer" do not be lazy to constantly check the entrances from the rivers to deep-water bays and quarries, as well as other traditional "wintering" places, where the "bel" is about to go en masse. It often happens that a predator is already waiting there for its “legitimate” prey, and much earlier than the due date.

What fishing tactics are most effective at the end of September? I think that now it’s not worth it to “extort” the fish for a long time, but more time should be devoted to searching for places where predators accumulate. Spending even a few hours on reconnaissance, there is a chance to find such an “El Dorado” in a limited area, fishing on which in just a couple of hours will give an indescribable emotional charge and allow you to complete a weekly food program. And with each September day, as the water cools, the fish become more active - and our chances of getting a truly trophy specimen grow at the same rate. It's big game hunting season!

Ide, chub

"White" predators are not in vain considered heat-loving fish, so their biting will worsen with autumn cooling. However, on a warm and sunny day of "Indian summer" it makes sense to check promising rifts on medium and large rivers.

The insects have already disappeared, so the choice of baits is simplified. The ide and the chub have basically already switched to feeding on the underyearling - a small “turntable” or a “under the fry” wobbler will come in handy.

Where to look for fish? Both chub and ide are frequent neighbors. Both species clearly “gravitate” to fast currents and clean water, but the chub prefers the stream itself and relative shallow water, while the ide keeps close by - in quieter and deeper places. Therefore, chubs are usually caught on the very rapid, and ides - on the nearest reaches and pits.

This means that in September it is advisable to check for “white” predators not only rifts, but also other shallow sections of the river with a rocky bottom and a strong current.

It is interesting that in September spinningists often come across the largest “white” specimens, and in addition to the chub and ide perch, pike perch, and asp are not uncommon in the by-catch.

For trout

After the summer tourist season, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find fast and clean rivers with trout and grayling in the middle lane - you have to climb into the most remote corners. As a rule, by autumn, small rivers become noticeably shallow, and the rifts, where predators used to take them, especially.

In such conditions, only a trifle remains on the rapids, larger fish go to deeper places - in backwaters and pits. Finding such sites in an unfamiliar, dense, overgrown river is not at all easy, but trout and grayling are caught only there on wobblers and turntables. Moreover, the trout is already with caviar, it will soon spawn.

Small grayling in some places still "melts" on the riffles and goes out for the lure, but it is not able to grab the tee with its mouth. But on the fly you can catch it from every cast.

Middle Volga

It is already cooler on the Gorky reservoir in September. The water also gradually cools down. Predators have an autumn "zhor", besides now, in general, larger specimens come across.

Pike peck greedily, predators up to 2 kg - almost all day in coastal grass and snags, "crocodiles" - only dawns on deep riverbeds.

Small zander and bersh (up to 1 kg) are very active, the catch is limited only by your time. But larger "fanged" specimens come across only in the morning and evening.

The perch, as before, robs all day long on river spits, in quiet bays and other places where underyearlings gather. It bites on poppers, "turntables" and mini-jigs. "Humpbacked" up to 1 kg are periodically caught in zander places: on the edges, dumps and in relatively deep snags. Stuffing a bag of "striped" is not a problem. The main perch rig is a jig with two or three twisters or wabs on additional leashes. Bites occur both at the bottom and in the water column.

The asp actively "beats" the fry on the rapids. "Zhor" continues until about mid-September. Then the flocks of the predator thin out, large specimens switch to a solitary hunt.

Particularly interesting at this time are the areas where the beds of the rivers that once flowed into the Volga can be traced at the bottom of the reservoir. It is here that active pike often come out to feed on the edges, including real “crocodiles”. Not uncommon in these places and "exits" of a kilogram schooling perch.

Spinning fishing in September in the north of Russia

Kola Peninsula

If the issuance of licenses for salmon is extended until mid-September, we still have the opportunity to catch noble salmon. It is in September that the so-called autumn salmon entry usually begins, and the probability of catching a beautiful fish is definitely higher than in August. True, sometimes the move starts later, and there is a risk of not waiting for the fish at all.

But the autumn "white" is the most delicious and rests - woo! While the fish has just entered from the sea and has not yet got used to fresh water, it is quite active and bites well on baubles and wobblers. However, this is not always the case. In unfavorable weather, the fish is “naughty” - spinningists also have to contrive. For example, on Umba I had to drive a “rattling” wobbler around and around a large stone for half an hour, until the salmon nevertheless “wound up” to attack. But the most reliable option is a salmon fly on a double or triple. Together with a bombard or a loaded float, it can be delivered to any point, and for passive fish, the fly remains the No. 1 bait even in autumn.

Frosts are already observed on the Kola Peninsula in September. Two or three frosty nights - and the grayling begins a mass migration from the riffles, first to the lower reaches of the river, where it lingers on relatively deep pits, and then into deep lakes. If at the right time you get to the accumulation of grayling - you can break away in full.

But the brown trout in the rivers is active until freezing.

Karelia

September is the most fishy month in Karelia. With a cold snap, “zhor” of river and lake predators is observed everywhere.

Large trout and grayling peck well in the rivers. Insects have almost disappeared, so local predators have already changed to fry and are caught with might and main on "turntables" and wobblers. Moreover, with the cooling of the water, special attention should be paid not only to the rifts, but also to the deeper "intermediate" reaches and pits.

In September, pike and perch are perfectly caught in Karelian lakes, but in general, also in deeper places. Bait - any.

Spinning fishing in September in the south of Russia

Lower Volga

September on the Lower Volga is the most fertile time for spinning (and not only). Not hot, not cold - just warm! Although there are still hot days. There are practically no midges or mosquitoes. The crowd has also noticeably decreased. Watermelons, tomatoes, blackberries, lotus - and most importantly, fishing!

About fishing, you can simply say - who knows how and wants, he catches as much as he wants! No "spans", which are not so rare in spring and summer. True, there is no trophy fish, but the “standard” one is not measured! This even introduces a certain inconvenience - your eyes run wide, you don’t know which tackle to grab.

Therefore, it is advisable to start at least somehow planning your vacation, and not to twitch at every surge. Usually, in this case, the first day is devoted to general reconnaissance and perch fishing, so that later it will not be distracted. And then each new exit to the water is mainly dedicated to a certain fish. When the picture clears up, you can already plan the day: for example, in the morning - pike perch, in the afternoon - pike and perch, in the evening - catfish.

Be sure to bring poppers with you. In September, for pike and perch, this is the first bait, the “greens” peck at it “every other time”. There are also other predators - asp, rudd, catfish. Walkers are not yet as common as poppers, but they catch just as well.

Another interesting point about baits - small models, as a rule, are not effective. Optimum "turntables" from No. 3, wobblers and castmasters from medium size and above. Firstly, the southern fish takes even better for large options, and secondly, there are so many fish that you quickly get tired of carrying a trifle (in the local concept). An exception is catching sabrefish on small narrow "turntables" No. 0.1.

Here, for example, is a good universal option for beginners. In September, a lot of fish stand in clear channels with overgrown banks. You just need to go with the flow in a boat and throw a wobbler or “turntable” closer to the reeds. It bites everything: pike, perch, rudd, asp and pike perch. Moreover, almost no single cast. Fun, damn it!

And if you want to “concentrate on specific predators - please!

A pike up to 2 kg usually stands along eriks and canals, along reeds or in grass. It takes on wobblers, spinners and "rubber", but the most spectacular and exciting is fishing on surface baits - popper and walker.

But the large "toothy" (up to 5 kg) takes only in the pits and in places with sharp changes in depth. The best bite is usually from 9 am to 12 pm. "Crocodiles" prefer large "rubber", if you wish, you can take several enviable specimens at once in the morning.

It seems that perch is everywhere! The fry drives in “boilers”, on sandy spits and large reaches, in grass and reeds, in channels and eriks. He likes to stand in the "calm" behind the jet leaving the shore. Moreover, real “humpbacks” up to 1 kg are not uncommon, although the average weight of the “striped” is about 300 g. It bites on everything: poppers, wobblers, turntables, jigs. True, schooling perches quickly get bored - it seems that the more you catch them, the longer the queue becomes. "Cut off" a trifle have larger baits.

Pike perch up to 2 kg are caught in all suitable “points”. What is good in September is that the “fanged one” very often pecks almost all day. The only caveat is that on a sunny day you need to switch to dark-colored “rubber”.

A medium-sized asp (up to 1 kg) still “beats”, and often in “boilers” together with a perch. On the castmaster with flies, double bites are not uncommon - either a pair of asps, or an asp and perch.

Larger asps (2-3 kg), as a rule, already hunt alone in September. Asp walks around his site in a circle and periodically “thrashes” at several characteristic “points”, where they need to wait. Large specimens are more cautious, but still fall for Devons, castmasters and turntables. But what a blow when biting - unless you forget!

It is very interesting to catch a mini-asp - a large flock of sabrefish. It is found, however, not everywhere, but wandering flocks of "sabers" are far from uncommon. And then either on a narrow silver turntable, or on a small castmaster with "wabiks", or on a bombard with flies - just give it! And dragging a resting chehon is a delight! The long “saber” beats so powerfully with its whole body - where are the rest!

September - it's time to indulge in a large rudd. This fish is showing more and more predatory tendencies. It bites wherever there is sedge or reeds. It bites on everything: turntables, wobblers, jigs, castmasters, flies ... It even bites on poppers. Moreover, it is interesting how she swims up to the popper and “bales” the bait with her nose, as if gently trying on her tongue - clap and it is detected! And when cutting, it briskly walks from side to side - fun!

At the end of September, catfish become noticeably active everywhere. The “whiskered” is mostly caught on hooks, but spinningists often come across it along the way with zander or pike. Moreover, specimens over 30 kg are far from uncommon. And there are much bigger ones too!

conclusions

September is the favorite month of many spinners. In the middle lane, “folk” predators are activated - pike perch, pike, perch. The autumn “zhor” is longer than the spring one - the fish is measured, and it bites almost all day.

And if there is a boat, you will probably catch the "coastal" ones, and the chances of catching a trophy specimen are much higher. What else is needed for happiness?

When it pulls to distant lands, you can still catch the autumn course of salmon. It's time to go to Karelia: trout and grayling are perfectly caught in the rivers, pike and perch in the lakes.

And on Akhtuba and the Lower Volga in September - a real fishing paradise!

September is a great time to catch any kind of fish. With a slight decrease in temperature, aquatic inhabitants become more active. And this applies to both peaceful and predatory fish. The former rush without caution throughout the reservoir in search of at least some food on the eve of a long and cold winter, while the latter do not miss the opportunity to profit from them on occasion.

Fishing in September has its advantages associated with the changing seasons. The last warm days spent with a fishing rod or spinning in the bosom of nature will bring not only a good catch, but also a lot of positive emotions.

Most beginner anglers are wondering which fish are biting in September and which are not? Knowledge of the characteristics of the temporary behavior of certain species of inhabitants of the depths will help to understand here. The thing is that every fish behaves differently at different times of the year. Some react sharply to a drop in temperature and precipitation, sinking to the bottom, while others, on the contrary, come out of the depths to the surface.

Biting fish in September is notable for its instability. Depending on weather conditions and atmospheric pressure, it may be too active or disappear for a long time.

Features of the autumn life of fish

All fish in September continue to live according to the summer schedule. Algae during this period is still green, and insects continue their usual life activity. In other words, there is enough food for peaceful fish. Predators in warm water are inactive, and go hunting mainly in the morning and at sunset.

But with the first temperature drop, everything changes. Everyone is getting ready for the cold. Peaceful fish begin to actively eat protein food, and predatory ones come to the surface to satisfy their hunting instinct. Therefore, the question of what kind of fish bites in September can definitely be answered - almost all. The main thing is to choose the right place for fishing and bait.

In the first half of the month, carp continue to bite on bottom gear, mainly on vegetable baits. Corn, pearl barley, boiled potatoes and peas are the best baits for catching this fish in summer and early September. It is better to hunt carp with the help of a feeder or a donkey equipped with a crown, “nipple” or spring. At this time, you should look for it in the same place as in summer - in deep pits, in places with a “return”, on rifts, as well as in snags.

Does carp bite on boilies in September? And how. With a decrease in temperature, its biting does not stop, but as a bait during this period it is better to use boilies containing bone, fish, blood meal and crushed gemmarus. You can also use such animal baits as a worm, a bunch of maggots, as well as combinations thereof.

Fishing in September should be accompanied by systematic feeding of the fishing spot. The best autumn flavors that should definitely be included in bait boilies or mixtures are the smells of fennel, sweet and black pepper, garlic and hemp.

The crucian carp, being the closest relative of the carp, leads the same way of life as the head of the family. Although the autumn bite is not particularly active, it is not so difficult to catch this unpretentious and ubiquitous fish. It is better to look for crucian carp in September on ponds and reservoirs at a depth of at least 3-3.5 m. In autumn, it rarely changes its usual locations, so knowing the fishing spots, you can provide yourself with a decent catch.

But does crucian peck in September on the rivers? The cold current does not attract this heat-loving fish. In spring, crucian carp enter the riverbeds for spawning. The water here at this time is much warmer than in large reservoirs where rivers flow. After spawning, some of the fish go to their usual habitats, but some remain to settle in new territories. This is the real crucian carp.

With the cooling of the water, it becomes inactive, spending most of its time at depth in places with minimal current. So, going to autumn preference should be given to quiet deep rivers. The best places for catching it are river backwaters, whirlpools and deep holes.

You can hunt for crucian carp in September on feeder tackle, float and. As for the bait, it is better to use a dung worm, maggot or bloodworm.

September fishing for bream

In the first half of September the bream is also active. However, with the first cold snap, it is unlikely that it will be possible to catch a large specimen. Preparing for winter, the bream goes to deep holes away from the shore, and there is no way to lure it out of there until spring.

Small individuals still come out to feed in warm weather, but you can only catch them if you know where and what this fish bites in September.

Search for a small bream in early autumn should be in deep snarled places, on rifts or riverbeds. It is best to fish from a boat with a pole rod or using a tackle such as a "ring". When fishing from the shore, you can use feeder tackle or a regular donk.

As a bait, the same dung or a bunch of bloodworms is well suited.

Roach fishing in September

Asking the question of which fish bites best in September, one can answer with confidence - roach. It is enough to get a simple and uncomplicated bait, and the catch will be guaranteed.

Roach actively feeds all year round, so fishing for it does not stop even in winter. You can catch it during this period both on the river and on reservoirs, ponds and lakes. You need to look for roach in the coastal zone, where there is some kind of vegetation. Her favorite places are thickets of reeds or water lilies.

In autumn, roach is unpretentious to food, so you can use any bait, from bread to a worm. To ensure a good bite, it is advisable to pre-bait the fishing spot. To do this, you can use purchased mixtures or make your own bait.

Fishing for a predator

Any experienced angler, when asked what kind of fish bite in September, will answer that the beginning of autumn is the best period for catching a predator. With the first yellowed leaves, the real hunting season for pike, zander, perch and burbot opens. During this period, predatory fish is the most lively, so you can catch it on any tackle: spinning, donk, mugs, as well as on an ordinary float fishing rod.

pike hunting

With stable pressure, pike in September is most active. And it doesn’t matter if it’s a sunny day or a cloudy one with a drizzle, the main thing is that there are no sudden changes in temperature. In warm periods, pike should be caught at shallow depths. The best tackle for this would be spinning.

In cold weather, the pike goes to the depth, from where you can get it only by teasing it well with the game of bait. But what does the pike bite on in September?

As a spinning bait, a live bait, including a dead one, as well as spinners and wobblers imitating small fish, is perfect. With or bottom tackle, it is best to use live bait in the form of bleak, minnow, roach or small perch.

Fishing for zander

In September, pike perch also begins autumn zhor, however, unlike pike, it rarely comes to the surface of the water, preferring deep hunting.

It is better to catch it on a summer zherlitsa or on a donk. The best time for zander fishing is at night. It is at this time that he is most active. However, spinning lure at dawn on a warm, fine day also gives good results. A small westerly wind positively influences the activity of pike perch. The bite of this fish continues until about the middle of the month, after which it gathers in flocks and goes to wintering grounds.

Perch fishing in September

Perch, unlike other predators, does not show much activity in September. "Matrosik" hunts in the usual way, chasing fry of fry throughout the reservoir, and the hunchback prefers to wait for his prey in an ambush at a depth. Search for flocks of small perch should be in the coastal zone, visually focusing on the movement of fry.

Standard tackle for catching this predator is a float or bottom fishing rod, summer mormyshka, and also spinning. The best bait for perch is a worm, a bunch of bloodworms or a small live bait. When fishing with spinning, you should use rotating or small sizes or silicone baits in discreet colors.

Excellent results for fishing for a small perch in September were shown by a summer jig - an ordinary fishing rod with a winter nod and a jig at the end of a regular fishing line.

For catching a large humpback perch, it is better to use a spinning rod or a donk with live bait as bait.

Features of catching burbot in September

September is the only productive month for burbot fishing. This fish, due to its isolated and unusual lifestyle, rarely gets hooked even by experienced anglers.

Burbot hunts mostly at night, so you need to start fishing for him in the evening. To catch this predator in the fall, it is better to use a donk with a live bait, a piece of liver or fish attached to a hook. Bottom gear is installed in the evening and checked in the morning. Burbot deeply swallows the bait, so gatherings happen very rarely.

Fishing in September is more productive for spinning - catching predatory fish at this time gives excellent results, but you can still catch peaceful fish with summer gear. Unlike summer fishing, with the beginning of autumn, in September, the nature of biting changes for many species of fish. Accordingly, the tactics of fishing are changing. But it is autumn fishing that can please you with record-breaking breams in terms of size and weight, beautiful pike perches and magnificent perches. Do not forget about the main subject of the September hunt for fishermen - this is, of course, the pike, and we will start with it.

Fishing in September for pike

Autumn pike zhor in September ensures successful catching of a toothy predator. In warm September, pike fishing can take place in its favorite summer spots. At the edge of the grass on wobblers and small baubles, you can catch decent grass pikes. For trophy pike, you should go closer to the depth, to the channel edges and dumps, to the exits from the pits, closer to deep-sea snags and flooded forests on reservoirs. At depths, pike fishing in September usually takes place from a boat. Fishing methods depend on the chosen reservoir. In almost any body of water, spinning, float fishing rod, mugs and a track can be successfully used. Pike fishing in September is carried out with almost any bait, oscillating and rotating lures, wobblers of all stripes and colors, jig, etc. are used. Pike in September does not disdain large sizes and willingly “feeds” on really large baits.

Fishing in September for perch

The most favorable for fishing is warm sunny weather with a slight southerly or southwesterly wind. If the weather is hot, then fishing in smaller places is again effective. For perch fishing on lakes and reservoirs in August and September, a boat is absolutely necessary. As for small rivers, with the onset of autumn, large perch roll down to deep pre-estuarial areas, while medium and small ones still keep mainly in whirlpools, where they will spend the whole winter. On lakes and reservoirs, with the onset of cold nights, the effect of stratification gradually disappears and catching perch with side rods from the bottom at a depth of 4-6 m again becomes promising. Lures, jigs, and tackles give good results. More:

Fishing in September for zander

Pike perch is a coveted trophy for spinners, and September is considered one of the best periods for zander fishing. Moreover, successful zander fishing continues throughout the month, worsening only in inclement weather with strong winds and sudden pressure drops. The most intense biting of zander occurs at night. Baits for fishing for zander should be narrow, elongated, somewhat reminiscent of bleak. Of the live baits, minnows, ruffs, fir trees, and small scavengers are perfect. Wider and larger fish are not as effective, since the zander has a small mouth, and it simply cannot swallow such a bait. For the greatest efficiency when catching zander in September, you can use jig lures. At the same time, anglers carry out stepwise wiring of the bait near the bottom. Ordinary foam rubber fish, silicone vibrotails and twisters can become baits.

Fishing in September for carp, carp

Fishing in September for carp can start almost from the very early morning. Carps and carps are absolutely peaceful, heat-loving fish. They are caught in September only in calm sunny weather. But to catch this fish, you have to work hard. In order for fishing to be successful, it is worth studying the bottom relief well, in particular, knowing the location of large holes. What to fish for carp in September? Groundbait at this time of the year is absolutely useless - all hope is for the right bait. Fishing for carp in September is more effective for maggot, large earthworm, crustacean meat, bread pellets, boilies, oatmeal porridge with sugar and peanut or cinnamon flavors, shellfish are suitable. You can fish with both bottom and regular float rods. Moreover, the float should not be too bright and noticeable so as not to alert the fish.

Fishing in September for ide

Fishing for ide with slowly sinking bait is very successful. To do this, when fishing on a float rod with a nozzle of a leafworm, bunches of maggots, a bunch of bloodworms, the sinker is removed or pulled up to the float. The slowly sinking bait reminds the fish of its natural food. When using mormyshkas, they use their lightweight types, sometimes very small ones. In deep places of lakes, reservoirs and rivers, among flooded stumps and bushes, a large ide is caught from a boat with wire, float and bottom fishing rods. Bait - gudgeon, frog, toothless, leech, crawfish meat. In warm calm weather, it can also be caught at shallower depths: near the mouths of streams, rivers, near thickets of aquatic vegetation, where there are many fry, small frogs or other food natural to it. In such places it is profitable to catch with spinning, fly fishing, float fishing rods. More:

Fishing in September for bream

The bream at the end of August and in the first ten days of September begins to migrate to the wintering pits. They must be, of course, large and located at a depth of at least five meters. Therefore, it is often difficult to catch bream in September without a boat. Sometimes you can’t get places where the bream is kept from the shore. But on the boat you can get close to the borders of the pits. Such fishing for bream in September from a boat gives the best trophies. The bite of a fish is largely dependent on the vagaries of nature. Very good lively bites are noted on sunny windless days. The bream regularly takes the bait in the morning and evening. The situation changes as the weather changes. On cloudy days with slight gusts of wind, it is better to catch bream during the day, but only in areas of the reservoir where there are no large waves.

September, beginning of autumn. The first half of the month is still warm in summer, and there are no special differences in the behavior of the fish, but starting from the end of the month, when the first autumn rains pass and the night fogs begin to cool the water quickly, most underwater inhabitants switch to the autumn life schedule. September for a float angler is the time to pass a kind of exam on the ability to understand the habits of fish, to anticipate its behavior, to find extraordinary approaches to fishing methods.

In September, fishing becomes more and more contrasting. The most noticeable difference is observed between rivers and stagnant reservoirs. If in the rivers, due to the constant mixing of water, the fish lives for a long time according to the summer schedule and switches to the autumn way of life only after the Indian summer, then in the lakes everything happens much faster.

In autumn, the role of bait increases even more, the competent use of which can ensure the success or failure of all fishing. Fishing in September becomes contrasting in time: feeding trips become shorter and in most cases depend on the weather. In autumn, baits come to the fore, which no one even remembers in summer (fish are caught so well). And, of course, the autumn cooling of the water places increased demands on the quality of gear.

tackle

On the river in September, the largest number of fish is caught along the river steeps. Any edge with a depth of more than two meters at this time can become attractive to a flock of bream, white-eyed or white-eyed bream. If such a place is found, the fish stays here until late autumn.

The main tackle in such places is a feeder or a match rod. If everything is more or less clear with the equipment of the feeder, then the “match” needs to be equipped in a special way (meaning the selection of a float). The fact is that in the fall, both bream, and silver bream, and white-eye prefer the bait that lies motionless at the bottom to all others. At a short distance, the feeder often becomes very heavy and rough tackle, and the angler cannot always recognize a cautious bite, but the use of the Hungarian CRALUSSO float on the rod helps to solve many problems.

This invention allows you to securely fix the bait even in strong currents and at the same time maintain all the sensitivity of the float rod.

The thickness and length of the leash, as a rule, are adjusted directly on the pond. When choosing the length of leashes, there is a rule: the more active the bite of the fish, the shorter the leash, and vice versa.

Clear water forces you to make significant adjustments to the quality of the tackle itself. First of all, this concerns the thickness of the fishing line of the leash. It has been noticed that leashes thicker than 0.1 mm do not work on lakes.

Autumn is the time for micro hooks. If in the summer a small hook is sometimes even harmful (try to get it out of a fish throat), then in the fall, when microbaits are used, a small hook is just what you need. Autumn roach, which is mainly hunted, prefers a maggot slowly falling in the water or a dragonfly larva. The more natural the bait looks, the faster the bite will occur.

Leave floats with thick antennas at home. Autumn requires special elegance from floats. Particular attention should be paid to the thickness of the antenna. In autumn, fish bites are usually cautious and occur most often on drowning. A thick antenna has its own buoyancy and for this reason is a very rough instrument. In addition, in autumn it is very important to keep the bait exactly above the bait. A thick antenna is quite strongly blown away by the wind current, but thin, sports antennas are devoid of such a disadvantage.

Lure

Special attention should be paid to the preparation of bait. In the cooling clear autumn water, bait containing a large proportion of animal components works best. It is not so important what it is: bloodworm, maggot or chopped worm. The main thing is that its mass fraction in bait should be at least 25%.

You need to be very careful when using fragrances (it is better not to use floral fragrances). The smell of pollen is more likely to scare away the fish. In September it is better to use cocoa and molasses.

The less the bait “dusts” in the water, the less likely it is that your bait will be attacked by bleak. For this reason, it is useful to replace a large proportion of porridge, which can greatly saturate the fish, with a mixture of sand and coastal land. Properly prepared for use in the feeder, groundbait has a somewhat crumbly texture, but is well molded into lumps. For a float rod, the bait can be a little denser. Do not be afraid of the smell of the earth coming from the bait: the fish has a very good sense of smell and easily recognizes smells in the water.

For bream fishing until late autumn, it is good to use steamed peas. This vegetable bait is indispensable when there are smaller fish next to the bream.

Worm, maggot, and bloodworm are used as bait when fishing along river steeps. Sometimes steamed barley or rolls of black bread show unexpectedly good results, but this is rather an exception.

The special charm of autumn fishing is given by the fact that the fish lose their feeding rhythm, and it is not necessary to come to the river at dawn. The fish are more likely to start pecking closer to dinner or a little later, when the sun warms the water a little. Knowing this schedule in the fall plays a big role. The exit of the fish can be so short, but at the same time so intense that in the hour that will have to bite the fish, you can have time to enjoy the charm of the fishing process.

If the weather is cloudy, you can especially not count on biting. In reservoirs with stagnant water, with autumn cooling near the shore, underwater vegetation begins to die off. All kinds of insects that lived there all summer lose their shelters and move deeper in droves. The fish knows this well. It is for this reason that in stagnant water bodies, fishing is most successful at the border of aquatic vegetation. It is good if the depth at the place of fishing is more than two meters.

In clear water, the fish becomes shy, and the angler has practically no chance to attract it in shallow water. In shallow water, the rudd often comes out to fatten, and here a match rod equipped with a float for long-distance casting of the bait can help out.

Sometimes you have to cast the bait for thirty meters, but then with what pleasure you pull out the fish.

Bait

Lures for catching fish in autumn are not much different from summer ones, but there are some subtleties that make the fishing process more productive.

Everyone knows the larva of a small dragonfly, which has a green color. Most of the time it is in thickets of underwater plants. In autumn, when these plants die off, future dragonflies, left without a home, become prey for fish.

As a bait, it is more convenient to use not one, but several larvae, putting them on a hook by the breast. Any fish is well caught on the dragonfly larva

The amphipod is well known to anglers as an excellent winter bait, but few people know that roach, silver bream and rudd are well caught on the amphipod. The only drawback is that it is too tender, and many bites remain unrealized.

Roll of black bread. This bait, traditional for the summer, appears in a completely different capacity in autumn: only large roach are caught on black bread.

Fishing in the mouths of oxbow lakes

In the second half of September, fishing in the mouths of large oxbow lakes is very interesting. These reservoirs occupy, as it were, an intermediate position between the river and the lakes. Throughout September and half of October, you can catch roach and bream well here. Moreover, autumn catches significantly exceed summer ones both in quality and quantity.

Before proceeding to the description float fishing in September, let me immediately recommend the section of our fishing blog "Fishing 7" - "Fishing with float tackle" and "Fishing with a fishing rod"

Float fishing in September, this is a truly versatile fishing tool. From it you can catch both on the river and on the lake, in shallow water, in depth, from the shore or from a boat.

With float tackle in September, you can catch both large fish and fry. ?

Float fishing in September is an easy activity. Throw the nozzle to the desired depth adjusted by the float and watch the moment of biting and hooking on it.

Yes, there is a certain specificity of float fishing in September, it depends on the type of reservoir and the fish you catch, but the principles of float fishing in September are always the same.

Float fishing in September suitable for both professionals and amateurs and beginners. Why, float fishing is suitable even for children.

Float fishing in September. Float fishing tactics in September.

The specifics and tactics of float fishing in September depends on the place of fishing (shore, boat, bridge, pier, etc.) and on the reservoir itself.

The biggest advantage float fishing in September, this is of course an opportunity to catch a large and almost any territory of the reservoir. This is true for both rivers and lakes.

On a boat, you can moor to any shore that attracts you, anchor in the current. Swim to the island or catch the middle of the lake.

About fishing from a boat is described in detail in the section: Catching fish from a boat.

As for the coast, then, of course, the possibilities are not as wide as float fishing in September from a boat, but still …

You can perfectly catch the coastal zone and move along the coast.

However, both float fishing from the shore and from a boat requires you to maintain silence. You need to move along the coast and on the boat extremely quietly, without rattling the oars and not loudly stomping while moving along the coast.

Most of the fish are shy, and those that are not shy are cautious.

Float fishing in September. Bite. Catching.

The bite of different fish is completely different. For example, the bite of a perch or ruff is fast and sharp. The float with such a bite immediately goes under the water.

But the bite of a roach, for example, is distinguished by the playfulness of the float. Since the roach does not swallow the bait like a perch, but tastes it.

There is also such an interesting bite as, for example, in a bream. Such a bite is distinguished by slowly leading the float to the side, and then slowly sinking it. Of course, distinguishing such a bite is not easy. Especially for inexperienced anglers.

Although everything comes with experience.

Catching big fish float fishing in September, requires a special approach. You need to pull the fish slowly and slowly. Sometimes letting go of the line but without slack, especially with especially powerful jerks.

If a large fish has a very strong resistance, then you need to move the fish a little, letting go of the line, but without being weak, and let the fish get tired. And then quietly and without fuss pull up to you.

Good luck with your float fishing in September!
