A small hotel right above the Fig tree bay, everything is very decent, although you can’t call it luxurious. Breakfast is hearty, but there are practically no local dishes (only Cypriot cheese such as Adyghe, olives and sweets). The menu does not change, every day is the same. But there is orange fresh juice, champagne and you can make Turkish coffee, this is a big plus, because. the rest of the coffee is instant, and from the coffee machine - paid. The standard room is very small. For two it is normal, with a child it would already be crowded. The balcony offers a great view of the sea. Noise isolation is good, no shouting from the pool. Free water is provided only on the first day, which is strange for such a hotel, despite the fact that in general they do not save on guests (fresh flowers in the room, Loccitane cosmetics in the bathroom). But right next to the hotel there issupermarket where you can buy everything. Upon arrival, everyone is given a personal sunbed and an umbrella for all days of stay. On Sunday morning there were almost no places left, they gave us in the farthest corner by the small pool. In the evening, when everyone had left, we managed to change to a good place on the grass overlooking the sea. On the beach near the sea - human colony, almost like in Anapa. Despite the fact that the sunbeds are all paid (both municipal and hotel), they are almost all occupied, on weekends as much as 9 o'clock. A huge number of children, noise, din, crying, etc. This is definitely not a place to relax. In principle, it is much more convenient to lie on the territory of the hotel, and just go to the sea to swim. The sea is beautiful, clear blue water. But there is one big minus - the whole week (mid-June) the water was cold, and jellyfish swarmed near the shore, which stung painfully. On the last day of our vacation, the water warmed up sharply and the jellyfish swam away, and finally it became possible to swim normally. I don’t know if they will return this summer, but it was very uncomfortable, almost the entire vacation went to another beach (Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa). The bottom is sandy, there are no stones, there is a small island opposite the beach, you can swim around it with a mask - there are fish there. There are many paid water activities on the beach (catamaran, paddle board, canoe). In the evening there is no animation in the hotel, only live musicians play in the lobby of the bar, but they are usually listened to by 2 people, apparently due to the fact that the waiters are very persistent in offering to buy a drink. The city of Protaras itself is just a village for pensioners and vacationers with small children, there is nothing interesting in it. One walking street with cafes and shops, and not on the embankment, but along the roadway. You can also walk along the embankment, but there is almost nothing there, except for a few restaurants at the hotels. Ayia Napa is more fun in this regard, there is where to walk, what to see, there is a large amusement park. You can get there by bus (20 minutes, 1.5 euros / person during the day and 2.5 in the evening).…

We were at the hotel at the end of September 2018. Yes, the hotel is not new. One of the first in Protaras. But ☝️. For a small number of rooms, a fairly large area. Therefore, unlike the new neighbors, the sunbeds are not stuffed like a herring in a barrel. Another big plus is that for the whole stay you are assigned a place on the beach (at the hotel) of your choice. I really liked the tents in which you can lie all day without fear of burning. Hotel "retirement" without young people and children. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day, the bed is changed every 3 days. They only took breakfast. There was just enough for a satisfying meal. There are many cafes and restaurants around (portions are very large everywhere), there is a supermarket and a cookery with homemade food by weight. I was very pleased with the embankment (about 4 km) for those who do not like to walk along noisy streets. Beach and sea of ​​course there are no words 🤗. First time in Cyprus. And talking with vacationers from other hotels, newer and pretentious, they concluded that they made the right choice. Capo bay is the best value for money location in Protaras. Recommended.
