Fishing on the Sestroretsk spill and the sister river. All lakes of the Leningrad region - fishing Map of the depths of Lake Sestroretsky Razliv

Hello, dear fishermen of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region!

There are many places in the Northern capital and its environs where you can go fishing with great pleasure. This article is dedicated to one of the most popular among them - Lake Sestroretsky Razliv. It’s really worth going here, and what’s so good about fishing in Razliv will be discussed later.

About Lake Razliv

Sestroretsky Razliv is an artificial lake with an area of 10.6 square meters. km, which is located 20 km from St. Petersburg in the municipality of Sestroretsk, in the Kurortny district. It was created in 1721, when, by decision of Peter I and according to the design of engineer Beer, a dam was erected on the Sestra River. After construction was completed, a reservoir was formed above the dam.

The city of Sestroretsk is located on the shore of the lake; fishing is a favorite pastime of many of its residents. People often come here from St. Petersburg, not least due to the good transport accessibility of Sestroretsky Razliv. In the immediate vicinity of the lake there are such settlements as Tarkhovka, Aleksandrovskaya, Razliv.

The bottom of the lake is sandy, flat, with quite a lot of silt. The last circumstance must be taken into account when choosing fishing methods and equipment.

The main sources feeding the Sestroretsky Razliv are the Chernaya and Sestra rivers. The Sestra basin, in turn, includes large lakes - Shchuchye and Lyublinskoye, Pastorskoye and a number of others. The total catchment area from which the Sestroretsky Razliv feeds is 566 square meters. km.

What's biting in Razliv?

An important feature of Sestroretsky Razliv for anglers is that in the warm season the lake warms up very well. Excellent conditions are created here for the reproduction and growth of roach, bream and bream. In addition, the fishing planned for Razliv may bring trophies such as pike, perch and pike perch. There are quite a lot of roach, silver bream, ruffe in the lake, and occasionally even carp that was previously released from the cages of the Time Out fee is found. The variety of fish species, as we see, is very large, and this attracts fishermen to the shores of the Sestroretsk Razliv from year to year.

Depth and current

In different places of the lake, its depth varies from 0.9 m (in reed thickets) to 5.5 m (recorded under the shore of PTU-120). In most of the area of Sestroretsky Razliv the depth is small, on average it is 1.2 - 1.5 m, so the lake can be considered shallow. There is practically no current.

You can and should fish on the lake from a boat. One of the features of the reservoir is that large fish enter the shallow coastal waters only at night and early in the morning. A boat helps a lot to meet her during daylight hours. If you don’t have one, you can use a long-casting rod - for example, a spinning rod or a feeder. However, under certain conditions, fishing in coastal waters will also be successful.

How to get to the fishing spots on Lake Razliv?

This is quite easy to do. You can go fishing in Razliv from the Finlyandsky Station - by train. It takes just over an hour to reach her destination. In order to get to the lake, you need to get off at one of three stations - Tarkhovka, Razliv or Sestroretsk.

You can also make the trip by car - along the Primorskoye Highway. There is an opportunity to go to the lake both in the Tarkhovka area and in Razliv or Sestroretsk. There is another option: you can drive through Sestroretsk, and then stop near the mouth of the Sestra River. This way you will find yourself at the northern tip of Sestroretsky Razliv.

Features of fishing on the lake

Fishing in Razliv is possible at all times of the year - both in spring and summer, and in autumn and winter. In order for the result to please you, you need to know the characteristics of the life cycle of different types of fish and the nuances of their behavior at certain times of the year. Thus, bream is most active in spring and summer, and in spring it usually stays away from the shore, so long-distance casting gear will be most effective. It includes a float, the weight of which should not be less than 5 g, otherwise it is unlikely that it will be possible to throw the bait to the required distance.

With the onset of summer, the bream approaches the shore, and it becomes possible to fish without spinning - for example, using a blind rig. In addition, in the summer, feeder fishing becomes successful, which involves point bait from a feeder. The best bait for bream in the spring is a dung worm, a May beetle larva, maggot, and crawler. After spawning, the fish willingly takes vegetable bait, semolina and butter dough.

In summer, bream fishing will be successful if you take pearl barley, steamed peas or canned corn when fishing. In the fall, it is recommended to switch to maggots, bloodworms and worms.

Pike on Sestroretsky Razliv is best caught during the autumn feeding period and bites well in winter. The classic method of catching it is to use a spinning rod with all kinds of bait. Success comes from the use of turntables and vibrators (especially well-known brands), twisters, vibrating tails, wobblers of various depths, and jig heads.

They catch pike along the aquatic vegetation, of which there is more than enough in Lake Sestroretsky Razliv. This lake is really overgrown, has channels and pools between tall grass and sedge. Particularly overgrown areas are on the side of Sestroretsk and to the left of it. From the side of the hut V.I. Lenin, on the opposite shore, the lake has huge long beaches, but there are fewer pike there, and the priority is perch, roach and silver bream. The lake is very beautiful and it seems that there should be a pike literally under every bush or under every water lily.

Winter fishing in Razliv deserves attention. The ice-bound lake can please you with a good catch - perch, the same pike, as well as roach and bream. Balancers, jigs, as well as maggots, worms, bloodworms, bread and dough are used as bait.

We can confidently say: with proper preparation for a trip to Sestroretsk, fishing on the lake will be successful at any time of the year. Understand the nuances of fishing, adopt other people's experiences, gain your own - and fishing in Razliv will give you maximum positive emotions.

Your reviews and comments about fishing in Sestroretsky Razliv

Hello again, dear colleagues! This time I want to tell you about fishing on Lake Sestroretsky Razliv. This is a wonderful picturesque place, which is located very close to St. Petersburg. Getting there won’t take much time or effort. There are both minibuses and electric trains leaving the city. Well, for those who own their own vehicles, it’s even easier.

I personally go to Sestroretsk 2-3 times a month, starting from the beginning of May until the end of September. On weekends and holidays it is, of course, crowded. Fishing from the shore will not be very convenient; to the left and right at a distance of 2-3 meters there will be the same fishing enthusiasts. Some of them are too awkward, which causes tangling of gear and various inconveniences.

I advise you to go on weekdays, or at least arrive there at “dawn” to take a decent fishing spot in your opinion. Personally, over the last year I started taking a boat with me, and I no longer have problems with space.

The fish there stay mainly 5-10 meters from the shore, at a depth of 3-3.5 meters. Rather, this is due to the presence of an extensive food supply. Almost every fisherman sitting on the shore has with him a fairly heavy bag of bait, mostly homemade porridge. They pour it into the water in huge quantities, which, by the way, especially in very hot weather, makes itself felt with a very unpleasant odor. The fish simply does not have time to eat it all. I always go there without any bait, since the bite there is always decent.

I arrive at the lake around 7 am and finish at 2-3 pm. I have never come home “empty.” The bite is not good there only in strong or gusty winds. The fish is very careful, and sometimes you can miss a bite when the float is bent by the wind.

I use 0.16 line as the main line on the fishing rod, and 0.12 for the leash. The float is 1.5-2 grams, the attachment is exclusively maggots. I tried to catch with almost all baits, but maggot was beyond competition. Moreover, I place 3-4 pieces across the hook, this scares away small things. You need to fish there from the bottom, having previously measured the depth.

There is practically no current on the lake, the bottom is sandy, there will be no snags. Mostly bream and roach are caught there, less often - perch and rudd, but the latter sometimes reaches 400 grams. So I advise you to have a landing net with you; the line may break, since the fish is very resistant when playing. The fishing rod is telescopic four meters.

Every time I go there, I always enjoy it. Firstly, there is a good bite, although it is not always possible to hook in time, there are a lot of catches. But here, as they say, “don’t yawn.” As soon as you are about to light a cigarette, as luck would have it, a bite occurs. Secondly, the proximity to the city; the journey takes no more than 40 minutes directly to the place. Lots of parking spaces. Nice flat beach.

In general, if you have a day off in the middle of the week, I advise everyone to go there, you won’t regret it. Good luck to everyone and NHNCH!!!

Sestroretsky Razliv is a lake well known to fishermen and tourists from St. Petersburg and its environs. It is located only 20 km from the city and has a fairly large area of 12.2 km². This lake cannot boast of depths, on average they reach 1.6 meters, and the maximum depth of this reservoir is located in the vicinity of Sestroretsk, where the dam gates are located, and reaches 6 meters.

Depths of 3-4 meters are found at the confluence of the Chernaya and Sestra rivers, as well as in narrow places, under bridges and between underwater hills. The bottom of the lake has a flat, gently sloping shape with a muddy or sandy bottom. The western coast is covered with sand in many places, its northern coast is very swampy, and its eastern coast is covered with peat bogs. Many shallow waters are abundantly overgrown with reeds and sedges.

It is popular because the reservoir is home to many different fish. This is an artificial reservoir, it is considered the oldest not only in Russia, but also in the world. This reservoir was created for the needs of weapons production by order of Peter I in 1723. For this purpose, a dam was erected near the confluence of the Chernaya and Sestra rivers. The initially built dam, even after a number of reconstructions, could not cope with the pressure of flood waters. And only in 1863, according to the design of engineer Guzman, a truly reliable hydraulic structure was built, which still stands today.

Fishing in the Sestroretsk Reservoir fishing for pike, bream, pike perch, roach, perch, crucian carp and bleak. The lake is visited by both fishermen from St. Petersburg and fishermen from the Leningrad region, most of them catch peaceful fish, but there are many fans of spinning fishing. True, recently the number of predators in the reservoir has decreased, and decent trophies are not often found. The water in the lake warms up well due to its shallow depths, and fishing here with float rods begins soon after the ice breaks up. This natural factor also contributes to the rapid growth of underwater vegetation, which in turn is an excellent food supply for peaceful fish.

Experienced local fishermen catch large tench and crucian carp in the flood, but the main fishing is carried out on bream, on average its weight is 250-500 grams. Fishing for white bream on Sestroretsky spill carried out both in summer and winter. Summer fishing for this fish begins in early May on the marshy banks in the vicinity of Tarkhovka and at the mouth of the Sestra River. These places are the most promising for catching white fish. Before the start of spawning migration to the upper reaches of the river, huge schools of bream and roach appear here. In the summer, when the water in the lake, where the depth is shallow, becomes very hot, many white fish concentrate in these places, escaping the heat in cooler waters.

But in order to successfully catch whitefish and other peaceful fish, it is necessary to attach it to certain places, and skillfully prepared bait and bait in many ways serves as the key to successful fishing.

At a certain time, fishermen throw in balls prepared in advance, which are prepared from a mixture of boiled millet and ground crackers and various flavorings.

The bait is rolled into balls the size of a tennis ball; throwing 3-4 balls into the fishing spots is enough. If there is a lot of bait and the fish does not have time to eat it all, the remains begin to decompose and emit an unpleasant odor, both for humans and for the fish, and such a place will become completely unsuitable for fishing for a long time.

To fishing on the Sestroretsky Razliv was effective and the fish were spinning at the fishing points, these points need to be fed. As for the groundbait, its composition is more complex; in addition to crackers and millet, cake or ground seeds are added; it can also be seasoned with flavorings and crushed garlic can be added. It is especially recommended to add chopped worms or crushed bloodworms to the bait; you can also add a little maggot. Usually the bait is thrown at the very beginning of fishing, and then constantly thrown during the fishing process. The main task is to maintain the presence of fish in the fishing area. But there should not be too much bait so as not to overfeed the fish.

As for attachments, the most popular attachment is maggot. For the bream, this is the most delicious bait. Another advantage of maggot is its ability to stay well on the hook. White fish are also caught well with dung worms, bloodworms and other insect larvae.

Sestroretsky Razliv is considered the best place for fishing with float tackle in the Leningrad region near St. Petersburg. Due to the fact that the depths near the shore are very shallow, fish swim in shallow water only at night. Therefore, here we use rods from 6 meters or more or match gear, with which you can successfully fish at a distance of up to 40 meters from the shore line. And since mostly small-sized fish bite, a fishing line with a diameter of 0.15-0.16 mm and a leader of 0.12 mm is quite suitable for the equipment. Hooks are used No. 4-5 according to domestic qualifications. The float must have a load capacity of no more than 4 grams.

Since the banks of the flood are swampy, it is very effective to fish in a wade in high boots or waders. Local fishermen often clear their favorite places of algae and grass; such windows are made for ease of casting gear. As a rule, the bream is hooked confidently, but you should not hook it sharply; the bream's lips are weak and a thin hook can easily tear them.

The small bream offers more vigorous resistance than its larger relatives. There is no need to strike sharply, as you may lose the thin leash along with the prey; the prey should be allowed to maneuver slightly. Sometimes fishing on the Sestroretsky Razliv may be damaged by strong winds. Due to the fact that the bait jumps so much during the wave, the fish simply cannot take it.

However, most anglers return from fishing in the Sestroretsk Reservoir with decent catches, and most importantly, in a great mood from a good time.

The artificial Lake Razliv, which was created during the time of Peter I during the construction of the Sestroretsk arms factory, would have been an unremarkable dam if not for the actions of one enterprising factory worker Nikolai Emelyanov. Who, one might say, saved the revolution by hiding comrades Lenin and Zinoviev in the attic of his barn. And it all happened like this: the leader of the world proletariat was forced to hide from the persecution of the Provisional Government, and at that time he could not imagine a better place than Razliv. It was on its picturesque shores that Vladimir Ilyich spent July and early August 1917.

Lenin and Grigory Zinoviev spent the first three days of hot July in the attic of Emelyanov’s barn. But fearing to be recognized by the intelligent Sestroretsk summer residents, who could hand them over to the Bolsheviks, they crossed by boat to the other side of the Razliv. Where they hid under the guise of Finnish mowers in a hut made of branches and hay, lit a fire, fried potatoes, swam, received Stalin as a guest, and, of course, thought and wrote. With the end of the haying season, when it became cool at night, Lenin was sent by party decision to Finland, to Helsingfors.

Fun fact: the granddaughter of the same factory worker Yemelyanov who saved the October Revolution still lives behind the fence of the “Sarai”.

Museums with funny names “Barn” and “Hut” appeared in these places already in 1925-27; over the 20th century, millions of people visited them, which cannot be said about our time - not a soul in the hut, although the place is very funny. Guests are greeted by a traditional red sign with a good old sickle and hammer and the inscription “Lenin’s Shalash Museum”. The path to the museum starts from a scary restaurant; the path will lead to a large hut made of pink granite, next to which there will certainly be a slightly smaller straw hut. Of course, this is not the original of Lenin’s shelter of 1917; this much-loved indispensable attribute of summer by children is erected every year by museum workers on the very spot where Vladimir Ilyich’s temporary home once stood.

The exhibition, although carried out on a grand scale, is in a tragic vein and evokes a somewhat despondent mood: black and white portraits of Lenin’s associates with indications of the dates of death - who died, who was shot, and who committed suicide. Ilyich’s “Blue Notebook” with quotes from Marx and Engels is also exhibited here.

The Sarai Museum is somehow more comfortable in this regard. In 1970, for safety, the building was placed under a glass cover, which can be accessed by ringing the doorbell of the guide's house. They will show you two rooms and from the stairs they will let you look into that same attic. The exhibition is simple: photographs of participants in the events, newspaper clippings, Prima Nostalgia cigarettes, a table with a samovar and a bed.

Fun fact: the granddaughter of the same factory worker Yemelyanov who saved the October Revolution still lives behind the fence.

In addition to “Lenin’s traces,” Lake Razliv is also notable for its “Severny” beach. The beach is artificial, but well-maintained; it appeared on the map of the region in 2004. The bottom near the coast was slightly deepened to 2-2.5 m, sand was added on top, so it’s quite pleasant to relax here. Another local attraction is the recently built Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, which in October 2009 was solemnly consecrated by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.

How to get there: by car along Primorskoe Highway, near the Golden Horde restaurant, turn right, drive through the railway crossing; then if you go straight from the Lenin monument, you will get to the “Shalash” museum, and to the left - to the “Barn” museum. You can also take the train to the Razliv station or Tarkhovka station. From Art. metro station "Chernaya Rechka" there are minibuses No. 411, No. 417 and No. 425; from Art. metro station "Lenin Square" - No. 400, from the station. metro station "Staraya Derevnya" bus No. 216 or minibus No. 305, from the station. metro station "Parnas" - No. 600 and from the station. metro station "Prospekt Prosveshcheniya" - No. 680.

It was created during the time of Peter 1, for the needs of the Sestroretsk arms factory. The Sestra and Chernaya rivers flow into the lake.

Depth on the Sestroretsk Razliv

On average, the depth of the lake does not exceed 1.5 meters, but there are depths of up to 5 meters, mainly near Sestroretsk itself.

The bottom is often silted, sometimes there is sand, and there are also small beaches. The shores of the lake are mostly marshy, especially in the northern section.

There the shore turns into a real swamp, which never dries out. In some places there are areas overgrown with reeds.

There is dense construction along the entire southern coast, which starts from Tarkhovka station and stretches all the way to Sestroretsk, almost without interruption.

What's better to fish on the lake?

In summer there is a lot of small undergrowth in the lake, mostly up to 300-400 grams, but of course there are also larger ones. There are also a lot of roach, perch, ruffe, roach, pike, and very rarely pike perch.

You can fish directly from the shore, since the depths both next to it and in the middle of the lake are almost the same. Naturally, the use of bait is desirable.

Along with floats, feeder gear performs very well here, with which they catch bream.

In winter, things are much worse with white fish; some catches can only be counted on in pits; in shallow water there is a small perch with an even more microscopic ruff.

Although on the first ice there are bites of some pretty good perch specimens.

Sestra River flood

The largest river that flows into the Sestroretsky Razliv is the Sestra River. A few kilometers from the main flood, there is also a flood of the Sestra River.

Several kilometers from the Sestroretsk flood to the river flood, it passes through a very serious swamp, turning into more or less dry banks.

In this part of the river I have repeatedly caught bream. The depths of the spill are quite decent in some places, up to 5-6 meters.

The banks are heavily overgrown with deciduous forest and bushes, so you still need to look for a place for fishing, especially if there are a large number of fishermen.

There are also a lot of mosquitoes here, so it is better not to go there without means of protection against them.

The best gear for these places is a float and a feeder, since the predominant fish species are bream. Although, of course, there are also predators, such as pike, and if you fish in the upper reaches of this river, then trout and grayling, but of course you shouldn’t hope for very good catches of these fish.

Nearby there are several small ponds where very good crucian carp are caught. You can get to this site either by your own car, the Primorskoye Highway runs here almost along the river, or by train to the Kurort and Beloostrov stations, and then on foot.
