Kilometer marking of the route m8. Highway M8

Hello!

At the end of August 2015 traveled from Moscow to Arkhangelsk and back. There are traffic jams on the way out of Moscow (however, as always, you need to choose a time when there are few cars in Yaroslavka in the region), repairs to Pushkino took time. But then there were no traffic jams. The bypass road around Sergiev Posad is just super, there are almost no cameras, there is a section of the highway with a speed limit of 110 km/h. Then a small section of the bypass goes through Vladimir region. Immediately after entering the Yaroslavl region, the bypass ends, there is a long section with ups and downs, where every 500 meters there is another village with a corresponding speed limit. There is a DPS post with a cap of 40 or so. There is also a bypass around Pereslavl-Zalessky, there are tripods in places. The coverage is slightly worse between Pereslavl and Petrovsk, but it has almost no effect on comfort (although the suspension is stiff).

After Petrovsk, there are a little less villages, then Rostov, after which the section to Yaroslavl begins: the road is super, there are few villages, I want to go faster, but cameras are already starting to come across at the entrance to the city (I think you can set the main mode there with a limit of 110, maybe there is a green zone between the lanes in different directions, but there seem to be no chippers, although there is no particular need for them on that segment).

The bypass around Yarik is not very good, so you can go through the city if it's not rush hour. The road from Yaroslavl to Vologda is pleasant, there are few cameras, but in some places they come across. In Vologda, the roads are bad, you need to be careful not to disturb the chassis once again. But after it the road is good again, with cameras everything is about the same. I remember Syamzha with his patrols and cameras. From Syamzha to Velsk there are even fewer cameras, the road again pleasantly surprised me.

Just like in the Vologda Oblast, M8 in Arkhangelsk region beautiful, at the entrance to Velsk there is a very good bypass, that in Velsk itself - I can’t say, I didn’t stop by there. After it, the route goes along the river, the landscape is very pleasant, again, there are few cameras: mostly in settlements(Most of all, Bereznik and Yemetsk are remembered for this). I drove godlessly around the Arkhangelsk region, I saw cameras several times, but the radar was silent - I was very upset, because I thought that I had collected a bunch of fines. But they, apparently, were turned off, as I did not receive a single fine on the way there

Already closer to Arkhangelsk (30 kilometers), the coverage deteriorated and it was not very comfortable until the city itself. In Arkhangelsk itself, the roads are also bad, and the drivers seemed to me much more aggressive than, for example, in Yaroslavl or Vologda.
In general, the road is pleasant, there were small sections in the Yaroslavl and Arkhangelsk regions, where the coverage is slightly worse, but on general impression it had no effect.

On the way, I came across a rather long section under repair (somewhere in the Yaroslavl or Vologda regions) with forced exits from asphalt to gravel, but this also did not cause any particular problems, rather, on the contrary, it cheered me up after a smooth surface. For the whole trip, I caught a fine only on the way back in the Arkhangelsk region (1067 km) with an excess of 39 km / h, the radar shot in the back.

Duration of the trip: in total, the road from Moscow to Vologda took 7 hours with traffic jams and stops, from Vologda to Arkhangelsk a little more, 8 hours with stops and a random stop in Shenkursk.

Gasoline: I refueled only at Lukoil throughout the trip, there are franchise gas stations that I avoided, there is official Lukoil on the entire route, there were no problems with this. The cheapest, according to tradition, in the Yaroslavl region; the most expensive in the Vologda region; in the Arkhangelsk region, gasoline prices are comparable to those in Moscow.

Bottom line: in general, even in my car with the suspension shaking out the soul on bumps, it was comfortable to drive and I rate the quality of the asphalt throughout the entire 1230 km at 5-.

Oleg Kuvshinnikov, the head of the region, arrived at the solemn acceptance of the road today.

Work began here in July last year. It was planned that the overhaul of this section would be completed by June 2015, but the builders managed to to reduce the terms by almost a year.

The contractor - CJSC "VAD" - transferred communications (water supply, sewerage, communication cables), installed electric lighting. As a result of a major overhaul, the road became four-lane(two lanes in each direction), at 473 km appeared display of variable operating information for drivers.

In order to prevent possible accidents on the road no left turns. Pedestrian traffic is organized in accordance with the requirements safe passage(in the future, it is planned to build an elevated pedestrian crossing near the Dorozhny settlement). On this section of the M-8 highway, 7 modern stop pavilions.

Built into the roadway traffic flow sensors for further monitoring of the actual congestion of the road. We add that the top layer of the road surface will provide increased wear resistance on a section of road with heavy traffic. In addition, the road turned out seamless. This tactic of work performance was applied on the territory of the Vologda region for the first time.

“The intensity of road construction in the Vologda region today is the highest in the last 20-25 years. We we continue to increase the volume of investments in road construction. This year we will invest more than 4.5 billion rubles in the repair and reconstruction of regional roads. We first created municipal road funds, the volume of which reached 1 billion. In the next 3 years, due to investments from the regional budget, in excess of 30 billion, tens of kilometers of roads will be built and overhauled. Almost 20 billion rubles will come from the federal budget, which will also be invested in the development road infrastructure Vologda region, - noticed Oleg Kuvshinnikov. - This area federal highway"Moscow - Arkhangelsk" is characterized by increased traffic intensity. For a long time it was a "bottleneck" when leaving Vologda in a northern direction. That is why the importance of its renewal is difficult to overestimate. Increasing throughput on this section eliminate the possibility of traffic jams at the entrance and exit from the regional center.

“Today, during a working meeting with Oleg Alexandrovich, we discussed our future plans for the reconstruction and overhaul of roads in the Vologda Oblast. In particular, the Vologda-Medvezhyegorsk road recently transferred from regional to federal ownership. Or the prospects for the development of the highway linking Cherepovets and Vologda, which is the busiest today. We understand that taking into account the active socio-economic development of the region, the road will soon require additional investments, - told Head of the Federal Road Agency of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Roman Starovoit. -Lots of common questions! The road sector requires constant attention. Constructive interaction with the authorities of the region is the key to our success».

Concluding the opening ceremony, Oleg Kuvshinnikov presented Thanksgiving letters to the builders who took part in the overhaul of the section 469-474 km of the M-8 Kholmogory highway.

road M-8"Kholmogory" (Yaroslavl highway) - a federal road in Russia. It originates in Moscow, passes through Yaroslavl, Vologda and ends in Arkhangelsk. Has entrances to the cities: Kostroma, Severodvinsk and Pereyaslavl-Zalessky detour. The road section from Moscow to Yaroslavl is integral part European route E 115.

The total length is 1271 km.

Stationary traffic police posts are located in the city of Pushkino, Moscow Region, at 32 km, in the village of Prechistoye, Yaroslavl Region, at 364 km, and in the village of Bereznik, Vinogradovsky District, Arkhangelsk Region, at 960 km of the highway.

The route is the main one for traveling to the north of the country towards Arkhangelsk. For this reason, there is a very high traffic throughout the year. Traditionally, there are significant traffic jams at the exit from Moscow. The main places of congestion: a section of the road from the Moscow Ring Road to the city of Korolev and in the village of Tarasovka, at the point where the road narrows. The infrastructure along the entire length of the route is well developed: there are a sufficient number of gas stations and cafes.

The cities of Sergiev Posad, Pereyaslavl-Zalessky and Danilov have bypass roads. When driving Pereyaslavl-Zalessky through the ring road, the distance increases significantly compared to the road through the city, where, moreover, travel is prohibited freight transport. The road passes through the rivers: Volga, Sukhona, Vologda, Led, Yemtsa and Vel.

Number of lanes

At the exit from Moscow, the road has 6 lanes, after Korolev it narrows to 4 lanes for about 100 km from Moscow, then - 2 lanes for 90 km. Then the route widens again to 4 lanes to Yaroslavl. On the Yaroslavl-Vologda section, the highway has one lane for traffic in each direction. In some sections, widening of the carriageway is provided for the possibility of overtaking.

State

The road from Moscow to Vologda is in very good condition; in the summer of 2014, repairs were carried out in the Pereyaslavl-Zalessky area to replace the road surface and strengthen roadsides. In Danilov, a new bypass road was made, then a complete replacement of asphalt was carried out to the Prechistoye. The route to Vologda itself is in good condition. Further, the road to Syamzhy is also not bad, outside the city in the spring and summer of 2014, repairs were carried out for 20 km. After the repaired area, bumps appear on the asphalt. In the Arkhangelsk region, the roadway is good. After the city of Brin Navolok, for 25 km, work was also carried out to restore the road surface.

This federal highway with a poetic Russian name - "Kholmogory", one of the pearls transport system Russia. Moving along this highway, you can get into the real winter fairy tale our country.

Most fellow citizens, this path is known thanks to M. V. Lomonosov, who, with a fish convoy, on foot, traveled to study from Arkhangelsk to Moscow. Along this path, you can also get to visit Santa Claus, visiting the beautiful Russian cities: Pereslavl-Zalessky, Sergiev Posad, Rostov the Great, Yaroslavl and Kostroma.

The total length of the M-8 Kholmogory highway is approximately 1271 km. Looking at the map of the M-8 highway, you can see that this route passes through the Vladimir, Moscow, Vologda, Yaroslavl and Arkhangelsk regions.

A section of the M-8 Kholmogory highway, from Moscow to Yaroslavl, is part of the European route E 115.

The federal highway M-8 "Kholmogory" runs in wooded and wooded-marshy areas. The relief of the road is flat and hilly, hence the name - "Kholmogory".

The road surface is asphalt concrete, the width of the roadway is approximately 7-8 meters in the main part. Only the section from the Moscow Ring Road to the city of Korolev reaches a width of 18 meters. But even this does not save him from a huge daily traffic jam.

The temperature regime of the M-8 highway corresponds to temperate continental climate zone, almost throughout the route. Only in the Arkhangelsk region there are sharper fluctuations, average temperature January in this area is about -18 degrees, while on the rest of the way it is no more than -11 degrees.

In the period from late October to mid-April, frequent snow drifts and snowstorms are possible on this road. And from August to November, there are often cloudy, foggy days.

Along the M-8 highway there are bypasses of the cities of Sergiev Posad (35 km) and Pereslavl-Zalessky, as well as an entrance to the city of Kostroma (72 km).

The federal highway M-8 crosses several large water obstacles, these are the rivers: Volga, Sukhona, Vologda, Led, Yemtsa and Vel.

There are a number of dangerous sections on this road that drivers need to pay attention to. Special attention, especially in winter time, these are: 101, 103, 109, 114, 205, 207, 248, 279, 316, 419, 641, 711, 720, 807, 850 kilometers.

The state of the M-8 Kholmogory highway is basically normal, especially with regards to the section to Yaroslavl. The section from Yaroslavl to the Kast River requires serious repairs, and the section from Dvinsky Bereznyak to Velsk is also not perfect.

Generally: low northern sky, dense forest on the sides of the road and a sufficient number of gas stations on the highway, allow you to travel along this road with relative comfort, towards north winds and the White Sea.
