The airport is located just 7 kilometers from the city center. You can get from it to the place you need by taxi, transfer or city bus.

On the transfer

The transfer is a private taxi, which must be booked in advance. Upon arrival, the driver will meet you with a sign with your name on it, help you carry your suitcases and take you to your address. For order follow this link.

By taxi

Many taxi drivers stand at the entrance and catch all the arrivals. Almost all of them are private traders, so the prices are greatly inflated. Better look for cars that drive on meters, the minimum landing is 50 tetri.

By bus

Two buses number 9 and 10 arrive right at the door of the airport. The first passes through the old streets of Batumi, the second along the entire embankment and the main Rustaveli Avenue.

If you are caught by the controllers, say that you are tourists and could not buy a ticket at the airport. In response, they may ask you to get off at this stop, buy a card and pay for the fare with them.

Such loyal measures are only because the card payment system was introduced in Batumi quite recently and not everything has settled down yet. By the way, when buying a card, you will need an ID number, enter arbitrary numbers.

Buses run during the season from 7 am to 24.00 local time, at winter period schedule is shrinking.
