Or maybe I made it all up?) They never instilled in me love for English, which cannot be said about French) I it will be easier than many guys with a strong spirit and patience who have set themselves a similar goal here (and not only :)), because I once learned a little French. H We are often asked what levels of French proficiency are. Moreover, this question is asked by both beginners and those who can already communicate quite tolerably in French.

Of course, the easiest answer is that there are three main levels:

This is the simplest division and each of us understands this. But in order to apply for a job, to write a resume or move to a French-speaking country, you need more precise and fine separation and understanding what level of French language proficiency is required for a particular case in life.

This requires a bit of historical background:

In 1989, the Council of Europe adopted a project called “Language Learning for European Citizenship” (Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR), where many points in the study were spelled out European languages inhabitants of our planet with you.

In this document, the levels of knowledge of the French language in particular, and any other European language in general, were clearly defined and named. • AT 2 - Threshold advanced level

Level C - Proficiency (Utilisateur experimente):
