Hello to everyone who wandered into my another attempt at learning foreign language. :) It would seem that the years of school life, academic success, the availability of free time and foreign languages \u200b\u200bthat are so difficult to give .. They never instilled in me love for English, which cannot be said about French) I it will be easier than many guys with a strong spirit and patience who have set themselves a similar goal here (and not only :)), because I once learned a little French. I can’t say anything about my level, but from grade 7 to grade 10, with varying success, I learned something .. something that hasn’t been in my head for a long time) for 2 years I actually didn’t touch French at all, at school previously it was 1-2 per week. Now I want to restore my meager knowledge and achieve an excellent level of proficiency in this beautiful language!

H We are often asked what levels of French proficiency are. Moreover, this question is asked by both beginners and those who can already communicate quite tolerably in French.
Of course, the easiest answer is that there are three main levels:
- First level
- Average level
- Level of free communication
This is the simplest division and each of us understands this. But in order to apply for a job, to write a resume or move to a French-speaking country, you need more precise and fine separation and understanding what level of French language proficiency is required for a particular case in life.
This requires a bit of historical background:
In 1989, the Council of Europe adopted a project called “Language Learning for European Citizenship” (Common European Framework of Reference, CEFR), where many points in the study were spelled out European languages inhabitants of our planet with you.
In this document, the levels of knowledge of the French language in particular, and any other European language in general, were clearly defined and named. There are also methods for evaluating learning. And already in 2001, the Council of Europe recommended that this system be used everywhere to determine the level of knowledge of any European language.
So, according to this system, there are three main and levels of French language proficiency:
Level A - Elementary Proficiency (Utilisateur débutant), which has sublevels:
- A1 - survival level
- A2 - Pre-threshold level

Of course, each level has a very clear description of the knowledge, skills and abilities that a student must possess, and which must be included in the French language classes. This knowledge covers four main modules of the language:

Levels of assessment of knowledge of a foreign language
One of the mandatory requirements for admission to French universities for French-language programs is a good knowledge of French. The minimum required level at the time of submission of documents to the university is AT 2 according to the system of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR).
CEFR is a system of levels of foreign language proficiency used in Europe. The corresponding directive was developed by the Council of Europe as the main part of the project "Language Learning for European Citizenship" between 1989 and 1996. The main goal of the CEFR system is to provide an assessment and teaching method applicable to all European languages. In November 2001, an EU Council resolution recommended the use of the CEFR to establish national language proficiency assessment systems.
The CEFR classifies student knowledge and skills into three broad categories, which are further divided into six levels:

Some French universities may accept candidates with a level of French below B2. In any case, information about the requirements for knowledge of the French language should be clarified on the websites of the universities you have chosen. The document attached to this page (see below) indicates the requirements for the level of knowledge of the French language of some French universities.
Official confirmations
The official confirmation of knowledge of the French language for French universities are:
TCF-DAP(only for admission to the 1st year of universities and schools of architecture),
- or test results TCF-TP(for admission to other types of universities and other levels of study). This test can be taken with additional options ( expression ecrite or oral expression) - the need to pass them should be clarified in those universities where you want to enter,
- or exam results DELF or DALF.

Foreign language proficiency certificates issued Russian universities(diplomas, certificates, etc.), French universities, as a rule, are not accepted.
The difference between a diploma in French and a test in French is that you get the results of the test in any case, but the diploma only in the case of it. successful delivery.
